2)As a newbie I've got some ideas to write as well, I need tips in how to write, to post, to settle yourself into the community, etc. Basically a tut for newbies. Could you help me, pretty please??

okay, now for your questions:

1. it would honestly depend on the situation 🤭 what does the deer costume look like? would it be cute or sexy? if the reader wore a deer onesie, diluc would definitely be endeared and would find the reader adorable.

however, if it was one of those. . . lowkey revealing deer costumes, i’d say diluc would be flustered LMAO

but omg, back to what i was saying, i just love love the idea of wearing a deer onesie and just singing to diluc that he’s everything you want. yes. man will definitely fall in love with you again because he’s so pathetic and so romantic and gosh he’s besotted, someone help him

i could picture this so clearly omg. inside the manor there’s the cute reader up to their teasing again, and of course, beside the christmas tree, singing their heart out to diluc — “i just want you for my own, more than you could ever know” / “make my wish come true”

and archons diluc will indeed make your wish come true. if it’s within his power, he’ll give you what you want.

2. as for writing tips, bear with me - i’ll try my best to help you!!! ❤️

i know it’ll be cliche of me to say this but ig you’ll have to 1) practice and practice? i wrote ever since i was like. 9 or 10, and i’m still practicing today. i still have to improve some parts of my writing, and there are still errors that i miss out on GJDHDK

buuuut. . .since i kind of lowkey wanna get into my own personal lessons, i’d say 2) write for yourself. i’m not kidding.

like sure, it’s already the obvious but if you always write for yourself, if you always write from the heart, it’ll make things easier. and it will help you get through it. remember, if you ever get frustrated over your first draft, just remember that you can always go back to it next time and edit it. just write and write and write. go barf. go crazy. your first draft will not be perfect immediately but look at the bright side!!! ✨ you have written something, and that’s enough! ✨

no need to fret over your first draft because after that, you have the freedom to revise it and make some improvements ~ and if you have the urge rn to write, GO WRITEEEEEEE !!! writer’s block is such a pain and if you have the Writing SpreeTM, don’t waste it. you might create something good 😘

then 3) try to imitate a writing style that you really like. to put it simply, if we were artists, try to like, find a reference or an artist’s art that you adore and create your own piece with it.

in my experience, i read lots of books and from there, i met who my favorite writers were. i met my own writing idols! i loved how they wrote, and even studied how they tell their creations. i could gush how i’m inspired by them sm like - there’s this one particular writer who was really great at describing or imagery that i’m still trying to achieve it? like if you just read their pieces, there’s a movie playing in your mind! that was the effect they’ve given on me, and i want that !!

ofc you’re not gonna copy ( nuh-uh! ), and i do think it’s impossible to copy someone’s style because you’ll have your personal touch with it. but that’s what’ll make it unique, since it has your branding :) also, won’t it be amazing that in your writing, you’ve brought your favorite writer along the way because they’re part of your very own mosaic? 🌸 eventually, you’ll have your own writing style. 🥰

and lastly, 4), regarding the community, just seriously be yourself!

i’m kind of a newbie as well to tumblr ( since there are still things that i DO NOT KNOW and DO NOT UNDERSTAND - skill issue for me honestly / j ) but yeah. be kind, be friendly, and be respectful - your typical internet etiquette! ✨

fun fact, i actually planned to just post some of my fics here & dip ( since i’m so busy irl 😭 ) but then life has its own mysterious ways and now i’m interacting with awesome diluc lovers :) hopefully, you’ll get to interact with others too 🥰

What if the fact Jesinia is the one writing the books and all these (concerningly “recovered” letters that are found and put in) isn’t actually a foretelling of a tragic future but a promise of one; one where history is written correctly, something that would only occur if they won the war…

What if… this is properly recorded history (which Violet would give letters for and want) and legends of the first or at least great heroics of dragon riders and this war. … So, even if they aren’t alive at the time of whomever gets all these, it could just be thousands of years later; after they lived a long happy day together… maybe this is just the history, the story, the legend and not some doomsday clock for our favorite characters.

open starter for anybody ; set after lucy gray left the cabin <3 run. run. RUN. was all that could go through lucy gray's head as she sprinted away from the cabin through the trees. she was running as fast as her legs would carry her, everything in her telling her that she needed to get away from him if she wanted to survive. the words kept ringing in her head three's enough for me, he'd told her when she said they wouldn't have to kill anymore. three. she knew of two. bobbin and mayfair. all she'd asked for was the truth, yet she was met with a lie. my old self, coriolanus had told her as she demanded to know who the third was. lucy gray wasn't born yesterday, she could spot a lie from a mile away.

trust was the most important thing to her. trust outweighed love and yes, she had loved him. loved. now, all she could picture was those icy blue eyes gazing into her soul. would he kill her ? she didn't know, but she wasn't taking that chance. she couldn't take that chance. that was why she'd said she was going to pick katniss, her chance to escape and survive. lucy gray wished that she'd heeded dean highbottom's warning, wished that she hadn't let herself fall for the blond. any and all love she felt was gone, now all that was left was the need to flee.

as she kept running, the brunette felt her chest tightening, the crisp air filling her lungs, stinging as her heart raced in her chest. she needed to stop and catch her breath. ducking behind a tree, lucy gray took a moment, the breaths coming out more like gasps as she stayed there. the sound of coriolanus yelling for her caused her to panic more. she wasn't a fighter, he outpowered her anyway, but she could run. she could hide.

when she spotted the snake, lucy gray decided that she'd try to buy herself some time, dropping the scarf he'd given her to cover it up. she knew by looking at it that the snake wasn't venomous, it wouldn't hurt him too badly if he got bitten. it would just slow him down enough for her to get away. after the distraction was set, the brunette began to run again, hoping that the wind in the trees would cover up any noise that came from her feet on the ground.

it wasn't until she was hidden by a tree on the outer part of the woods that she'd realized her earring had fallen out in all of the chaos. she couldn't find it in herself to care anymore. the games weren't over when she'd returned home, these were still the games. her own survival was what mattered. lucy gray almost didn't notice the sound of footsteps coming toward her, but when she did it was too late to run. whoever it was had only been two paces from her now, and with how tired she was, they'd most likely be able to catch her if she ran. her eyes shut tightly as she braced herself for the figure to come closer, assuming it was coriolanus coming to kill her, to finish tying up the loose ends.

❝ just get it over with, ❞ the words came out more shaky than she'd intended. she wasn't usually one for giving up, but she knew that she had no more energy to keep running. if coriolanus had found her, then he won.

ooooh i love this cause in canon they are both good pilots but if we are going modern au it's absolutely din who is going to be white-knuckling the armrests throughout the entire flight while luke happily chatters about the make and model of whatever plane they are in for two hours before passing out without a care in the world - i see modern din is a car man who has a glorious but old junker set of wheels (no one can convince me that the razor crest would be anything else in a modern au) that he drives everywhere while luke is someone who definitely grew up around planes and flying lots so for them it's always finding a compromise of when to fly places vs when to drive
