they're SO cute rn and so is gibby !!! i love that gibby kinda didnt have a place in the league and (in my head) joey was like. hello firebirds please hire my friend from charlotte 🥺🥺🥺 and then they did.

i didnt post about it at the time but i uh. @birdcage and i got to MEET the two of them together in san jose and i died so much. they're so hot. they're so sweet together. they walked out of the dressing room like right after each other and they have suuuuuch good chemistry, it's so clear that they enjoy being around each other !!!!! i have a joey checkers jersey (home) and a chris kraken jersey (away) and they signed both and were clearly really amused / happy that i had the two of them. i may have died

8. Do they get along with each other’s friends and family?

-Aphid and Hurk are pretty good buddies, they chat, and Aphid will (skeptically) listen to Hurks stories about his times out of the country. He tries not to prod at the holes in them, but once in a while, he'll say something like, "So you took out a whole organization with no other help at all? Ever? Where was this when we almost died 3 weeks ago to that heavily guarded cult outpost?" But it's usually in jest and he tries not to be too serious about it

Aphid is slightly uncomfortable with Adelaides flirting, and at first he would avoid her but after a while he actually asks her to tone it down just a little and they finally actually start talking. They bond over the fact that neither of them can stand Hurk Sr.

Also, Aphid can't be within 30 feet of hurk Sr. Because he's certain that he'll fucking kill him.

-Aphids in no contact with his parents, but Sharky does get along as well as he can with his sister. Ruby is kinda weird about it at first ("aph.... him? Are you sure?") But it really hard to argue with him on it especially when he hasn't shut the fuck up about this dude for months before she finally meets him. Aphid walks away for 5 minutes and she off handed mentions a dumb story from when they were kids and now Sharky has to know more and Aphid get back to his boyfriend and finds out he now knows about the time he slipped in the shower pulled the curtain rod down and somehow it managed to hit the mirror and his sister found him tangled in the curtain flattened to the wall because he was scared of getting glass in his foot and they're both laughing at him now.

20.  Are they interested in marriage? Why or why not?

I think Aphid is more interested in just being married than a full ceremony, just like, go to the court house get the certificate, maybe a ring, and then fuck off for 3 weeks for a honeymoon and never tell anybody. Sharky probably would probably not even think about it unless it was brought up, I cannot for the life of me imagine him thinking about it unless someone says something to him

26.  What holidays do they like?

Halloween people fr, couples costumes, candy, alcohol, they decorate the way to their house in a way that's like a gauntlet to the poor kids who just want candy (older kids have to get candy for the little ones often)

39.  Who gets hit on the most?

I think it's equal but Aphid never realizes when anyone hits on either of them, meanwhile Sharky only notices when it happens to Aphid. So he thinks it's unbalanced, but it really isn't.

46.  How do they make each other laugh?

Part of the reason Aphid fell for Sharky is because of his humor, he thinks Sharky is funny, his stories and bad puns and jokes, even the moe raunchy ones just makes him laugh. Sharky makes him laugh by being himself and it's the most people see him smile.

Sharky is a giggle box fr and Aphid has fun timing with off handed comments where he'll say something like, Sharky pauses to think about it, and then struggles to stifle a giggle for like 10 minutes and Aphid is alway very proud of himself for this. Aphid does very subtle humor but it's always with Sharky in mind

drawings from paleo expedition to dagestan, done right on the trip. sometimes messy when it was cold and rainy, but i won't correct it. i think it's cool to leave it just the way it was done, and not retouch it after. there will be more drawings later, but those will be done from home

Bruce Wayne is canonically a very handsome man (he is called a "pretty boy" and he is in his 40s, for fuck's sake), and he is pretty famous as a rich philanthropist who doesn't want to leave his awful cursed crime infested city. So, there must be a ton of people thirsting over him on the internet. Fancams, edits, fanfics and imagines ("kidnapped with Bruce Wayne 😍 by a Gotham rogue"), the whole charade!

And anytime one of the batkids stumbles on a thirst post, they have the most dramatic disgusted reaction, loudly gagging, before sending the link to the batkids chat, because if they must suffer, then they should all suffer. Clicking on a link in this groupchat is like playing russian roulette, and getting rickrolled is a good ending.

I love the idea of Dick being all the Batkid's favourite sibling but in violently different fonts.

Jason: Dick and Jay canonically have a pretty solid relationship but i'm partial to the Jason was around for Dick's rebellion stage and so Dick doesn't think he has to worry about the pedestal thing bc Jason has absolutely seen him violently hungover before he was legally allowed to drink font of this

So by the time Jason comes back and is no longer trying to murder Tim (except psychologically) Dick decides... Well he's evil sometimes but also I can finally tell someone all the Titans drama. So him and Jason meet up like once month if they're in the same city and get progressively drunker while shit talking their teams and Bruce.

Also I hate the Dick and Robin!Jason didn't get along. They absolutely did, Dick was like 0.5 seconds away from taking Jason to live with the titans permanently.

Tim: 'Oh Jason is Tims Robin, Oh Dick betrayed Tims trust.' in the name of the orange dude y'all elected twice W R O N G. Tim Drake used to watch VHS tapes of the flying Graysons routine. He wasn't even a batman Stan first. That came after he saw Robin do a quadruple summersault. Tim is a Dick Grayson fanboy first Person second. Like Tim canonically saw Jason die and went lmao skill issue, imagine not being like Dick Grayson i'm better. When Dick first started training him, he'd consistently excuse himself go to the other room, hyperventilate over Dick Grayson teaching him how to train surf. Dick is not just his idol he's also a pretty substantial part of Tim's support system. He calls Dick when he's going through something or is stuck on a case. And he knows that Dick will always have his back. They have like the unrealistic adorable sibling relationships from Tv that don't exist irl. Tim also does that awkward shuffle thing after fights bc they're still siblings and Dick just pretends the fight didn't happen until Tims calm again

Damian: You have to understand Damian thought he'd have to basically do the league all over again. He lands with Bruce and those ideas are soundly rejected and he now has no trust or respect and he has to adjust. And Bruce is doing his holier than thou, you should know better 10yro who literally was brainwashed as a child act, like Tim didn't have to pull him away from straight up becoming a villain and Dick didn't have to put him in his place with his fists a couple times a year (we love Bruce really). Then Bruce gets Time-streamed, Tim runs away and now the circus freak is BATMAN. Except the circus freak is also a sadistic bastard to criminals, despite being made out of marshmallows to you. Dick hangs people upside down off high buildings for information and cackles as Nightwing. He also listens to Damians worries and helps him deconstruct his bias view of the world. Dick canonically set the standard for child heroes and is among one of the most beloved and trusted heroes despite being marshmallowy and refusing to murder people. Dick is kinda like Damians stand in non pretentious moral compass until he learns his own one later on. Hence why Damian adores Dick Grayson more than anyone really.

in summary support my agenda that Dick and Jason are gossipy drinking buddies, Tim absolutely had a Dick Grayson Shrine as a child and Damian calls Dick to double check that he still cannot kill Timothy (its now entirely a joke.... mostly)

She was on his lap, which was honestly fine, but seeing her looking at his face so intently sent a bit of a shiver down his spine. Not in a bad way, of course, but he wasn't sure he should really do what he WANTED to do, yet? Were they ready for that? He couldn't tell and wouldn't know until he did it.

Large hands would come up and rest on either side of her face as he leaned in closer, one of his small smiles curling on his lips as he drew ever nearer. He'd first, brush their noses against one another a simple action, quite soft for someone as rugged as he was all things considered, and then he'd lean just a bit more forward.

Pressing his lips to hers. Her scent was surrounding him and it'd taken him a while to work up the nerve to actually kiss her, he'd wanted to for months, but he wasn't sure if it was a good time or not.

Knowing him though, if the kiss dragged on long enough they'd both likely be red in the face and breathless when they were through. That is, if only ONE kiss happened.

"Mm?" She had been staring at his face, at his lips, for quite some time now. She'd be a liar if she said she hadn't been thinking about them more and more as the days went by. Her legs swung over his, placed against his chest, and she could tell that he was thinking about the exact same thing that she was. Call it a woman's intuition.

Her cheeks immediately flush, turning red as soon as she feels his hands on her cheeks, and as he leaned in closer, her lips part, already ready to welcome him in easily. The sheer thought of his lips on hers sent an excited chill throughout her entire body, and she'd place her hands upon his shoulders as she took note of his lips curling into a smile as he grew closer to her.

"Gaj--" Her voice barely above a whisper, any other words getting lost on her tongue as she felt his nose against hers, a smile of her own forming upon lips before he'd press his against hers. A satisfied HUM slips past covered mouth, and her hands move, wrapping her arms around the back of his neck and pulling him closer to her. A bold move, all things considering.

Her tongue slips past to trace along his lower lip, asking for permission to be let in, to deepen the kiss, for she didn't want just ONE. Oh no, she wanted as many as he'd be willing to give her.
