ye, Gintama shaped who I am as a person today, it’s been my favorite anime since I was like 15. I adore it and it’s very dear to my heart!

I really like Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, Legend of Zelda, Fallen London and everything related to it, and Shadow of the Colossus. I used to be really into Genshin Impact but not so much anymore.

Ummm I like the Once Upon A Broken Heart series, The Cruel Prince, and I write books about faeries and elves often. It’s like my brand lol

OH I also have a love/hate relationship with Overwatch, D.va main. I usually only play when I’m drunk tho

I play Smash Bros a lot, mainly Ultimate. Peach main ofc. I’m not like good enough to play in legit tournaments but I can beat my friends at least

I listen to The Crane Wives a lot! And musicals, I actually just went to see Mamma Mia on stage and yes I wore a feather boa and sang along the entire time. My favorite musical is Heathers!

I also play bass. Badly. I have a dream of starting a band specializing in funky disco beats.

Umm Im really into liquor, I like making drinks and trying new wines!

I embroider and cross stitch stupid things often. And I cook a lot! I adore cooking

i remember like before love notes started, it had kind of a different story line where yn was dating suga at first? i’m just curious him how that would’ve played out and how that would’ve effected the story! if you don’t mind sharing haha or if you didn’t write like an outline for that route then that’s ok! i’m just curious

AAA I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU REMEMBER!! I WOULD LOVE TO RANT ABOUT IT <3 i did outline the entire story basically with how it would've went with suga (before i changed everything) but i think it was pretty shallow bc i just had no idea what i was doing and i hate writing breakups and like,,, making people bad 😔 which are all reasons why i didn't go through with that plot LMAO but basically!! the main purpose he served was to be a conflict between y/n and suna bc obviously suna couldn't get super close or flirt with y/n if she was in a relationship but it was also difficult for her because suga was often very busy with student teaching and school so she'd end up hanging out with suna a lot. the biggest thing was eventually during that first new year y/n and suna spent together and y/n's feeling lonely, she's talking with the coffee enthusiasts gc about how she can either text suga or suna about coming to spend the new years with her and eventually she decides to text suna because she realizes that she feels way more comfortable with him than suga (who she often feels like she's bothering) so their breakup would have been a lot more of a "we're just not right for each other" rather than a "you did something wrong" type conversation!! suga was also going to be the one to actually bring up suna making art for y/n probably during their breakup or at some point, i was planning to have him mention her relationship with suna and how close they were and how that's kind of sus ig if that makes sense??? and the other big part was going to be in the last chapter when y/n and suna go to the love lock fence, suna was going to be so confused like "we're doing this as friends ig??? bc obviously she would've brought suga here if she was doing it romantically, right???" and then they'd put the lock on and she'd tell suna that she broke up with suga and that'd start the confession and everything <3 THANK U FOR ASKING!!! there's tons of reasons i didn't go thru with it and i'm glad i didn't lol but it was still definitely a possibility!! and i hope this makes sense i'm sorry my cat is on my lap and over my arms rn being the bane of my existence and so i can't type very well rn 😭

CREATURES IN GENERAL OR SEA CREATURES. BECAUSE MY FRIEND MONTY N I WERE JUST TALKING ABOUT TRIGUN FURSONAS THE OTHER DAY. but i am the sea creature guy at heart so im gonns give u those i hope that is ok 😌 there are many benefits to being a marine biologist.

Vash: he is... so very shark coded to me. everyone looks at him and sees a dangerous killing machine. frequently covered in scars. do u see the connection here. he is specifically a thresher shark to me because of the whole sharpshooter thing and also the sad sad puppydog eyes 💙

Wolfwood: i am torn between two different types of eels for him. giant morays are more aesthetically pleasing but personally i have to go with a wolf eel both for the name and because ive worked with these guys before and theyre sooooo cool so im biased

Meryl: not technically a sea creature because she is just so bird coded to me. White-Tailed Tropicbird

Milly: is it cheating to have two cephalopods on this list. because i think i really want to say giant pacific octopus for milly. either that or a whale shark 💙 yes those are two completely different animals no i will not be taking criticism at this time

So I have a question about the backstory after reading the last chapter of 24 hours, particularly the flashback to the party. I was wondering how Eddie & Nancy became best friends?? If you can’t answer it because it’ll be part of the story later that’s totally okay but I got really curious. I’d even be happy to just know what made you headcannon them as best friends specifically

oh gosh, honestly, it isn’t necessarily going to be a part of the story!! i just think nancy and eddie would have gotten along really well if they had managed to become friends outside of the…. stressful… situations of season 4!

i think nancy would be the type of headstrong that could earn eddie’s respect, who wouldn’t take his shit and could go toe to toe with him. she’d be one of the only people not afraid to tell him to fuck off, and for that, i see eddie as saying “that one! that one looked at me funny and has a thing about guns. total badass. now my best friend. let’s go.”

I read a while ago that you were reading 'our wives under the sea'. I've also recently finished the book and was wondering what you thought of the ending?

ahh thank you for asking! i was a little disappointed with the ending, but i don't think it was bad, i just think it was different from my expectations of it

i loved the concept of the book, but i come from a background of reading more traditional science fiction and i think that was what i was expecting/hoping for from that premise. idk about you but i REALLY wanted to know what the hell was going on!! shady organisations sending marine biologists to some mysterious part of the ocean, and when they come back they're like. possessed or something and then they turn into water? or into fish or something? absolutely intriguing!!! and of course my gut reaction to that mystery was to want to see it solved, so i was a little disappointed when the ending left so many questions unanswered

BUT i do realise that that is simply not the story that armfield was intending to tell. the sci-fi/fantasy elements are just a vehicle to tell a deeper emotional story about love and grief, and to that effect it doesn't actually matter that they're not 'solved', since the central conflict of the novel is miri's inability to let go of the past/of leah, rather than the mystery of what the hell was going on in the first place

i read a book last year called the first time lauren pailing died, and it was about this girl stuck in this weird time loop where every time she died she was reborn into another version of herself, which sounded FASCINATING, but it took a similar route to our wives under the sea in that the time loop was a fairly unimportant device to tell more important stories on interpersonal/emotional themes, and the time loop/multiverse situation was never really explained or solved in any way

and i do 100% think that's a valid narrative choice!!!!! but also as a reader who loves sci-fi i think it's possible to still include those themes AND solve the mystery, and so both books left me feeling slightly unsatisfied despite being really good overall
