"Just wrap it," he mutters, "Kurama will fix me up once he stops throwing a hissy fit." He ignores the muttered insult from the fox, keeping his eyes on Sakura. To make sure she doesn't use her energy on him. She should save it. His gaze drops to the floor once once the bandage touches his hand.

Ignoring the probing he feels from her eyes and hands, he resolves to stay quiet. Any energy to put up his usual cheer is empty. After this he wants bathe and sleep. Hopefully whatever the fuck went wrong during their fight earlier will sort itself out. Sakura and himself have always been able to manage great teamwork, but today simply felt off. The usual rhythm between them felt strained. Taunt, like a string stretched too far. In the midst of battle it snapped, and severed their synergy. They fell like puppets without strings. They managed to win in the end, but not without injuries that shouldn't have happened.

The smart decision would be to talk about what happened, but that means admitting something is potentially wrong. He doesn't have the mind to deal with that, he just wants this weirdness to go away. Roll off his shoulders and disappear. That's why he's gunna use the excuse of bathing to run.

But he was still nervous about asking, and was going to decide against it at the end, until Rantaro said that. Even if he tries to insist it's nothing, he'll obviously know that's not true. Because I don't write smut I ended it with cuddles, which I thought was also a good ending. I really hope you and everyone else like how this turned out!

It’s been four months since Bucky broke up with you. You can remember it all too well when he stood in your doorway and said he is breaking up with you. You were so happy on that day when he texted you that he will come over. You prepared everything for a movie night and for dinner you even bought a vinyl with music from the 40s as a surprise for him. But when he came over that night you never got to do any of the things you were looking forward to.

Four months ago:

You just placed the new vinyl you got as a surprise beside the record player when you heard a knock on your apartment door. You were so excited to see Bucky especially because it’s been a few days since you had last seen him. You walked to the door with a big smile on your face but when you opened the door you immediately knew that something was wrong. Bucky didn’t smile like he always did, he didn’t even greet you with a soft kiss.

“Hey, doll.” He said and tried to give you a smile.

“Hey, what’s wrong Buck?” You asked and tried to reach for his hand, but he pulled it away and shook his head.

“Buck, what?” Now you were confused.

“Did something happen?” You asked and you saw a sad look in his eyes. Bucky looked like he didn’t sleep since a few days. Did he have nightmares again, was the first thought that crossed your mind. Bucky looked at the ground and you gave him the time he needed to sort his thoughts. Even though you were freaking out inside. When he looked into your eyes, he looked so sad and hurt. You have never seen him like this before.

“We need to break up, doll.” He finally said what was bothering him and you couldn’t believe what he just said.

“What? Did I do something wrong?”

“No, doll you didn’t but it’s for the best.” Bucky said without hesitation.

“Bucky please don’t do this I love you. You know this right?” You said and a tear escaped your eyes.

“I know doll and I love you too but-.” Bucky wanted to say more but you interrupted him.

“Then don’t break up whatever happend we can get through this together.” You hoped he would stay and tell you what happened, but he insisted he wanted to break up.

“I’m going to leave now and please don’t come to the compound or try to call me okay.” Bucky said and made a few steps to the door. His metal hand rested on the doorknob, he took a deep breath and then opened the door. Before he walked out you reached for his hand.

“Why?” Was everything you could say.

“I don’t want you to get hurt.” Bucky said without looking at you, walked out the door and closed it behind him.

“But you just hurt me!” You screamed as tears streamed down your face. You locked the door and sat down on the floor with your back to the door. It felt like sitting there and crying for hours. At some point you had the courage to get up and when you saw everything you had prepared, you quickly put everything away and started crying again.

In the next few days and weeks, you were no longer the same as you were with Bucky. You called at work and told them you were sick and stayed in bed all day. You watched your favorite show, but not the one you started to watch with Bucky, that would only make you sadder. After a few days, you decided to go back to work. As you were about to change into some clothes, you saw some of Bucky’s hoodies and other things and put them in a box. You packed everything you could find of him into a box and decided to send it to him. You couldn’t go back to the store and bring the vinyl back, so you just put it on a shelf. You worked more shifts at work and even went to a gym to avoid thinking about Bucky too much. You felt so lonely without Bucky and missed him so much.

Bucky thought it would be the best to break up, but he felt so lost without you. He was so afraid that you would get hurt because he is an Avenger and that some bad guys would try to find you, so he thought it would be the best to break up. But he didn’t think about what it would mean for his and your life. Bucky changed; he didn’t really talk with the other avengers anymore only with Steve. Most nights he would just sit in his bed in his room, hoping that you were safe and well. He became more and more withdrawn from the others and one day Bucky decided that he wanted to go away from the Avengers.

That was also the day you got a call from Steve. You were surprised to see his name on your phone.

“Did something happen to Bucky?” Was the first thing you said when you answered the call.

“Hey, y/n. No, he is okay, but he wants to leave the Avengers. Tonight.” Steve told you and you were shocked to hear that.

“What happened?”

“Bucky changed so much since he broke up with you. He misses you so much y/n.” Steve said, and you couldn’t believe what you had just heard.

“He thinks he shouldn’t be an Avenger and that he is not good enough after everything HYDRA did to him.”

“That’s not true.”

“I know, but he doesn’t know that anymore. When Bucky was with you, he was so happy. He hasn’t been this happy since the 40s. I think you’re the only person who could make him stay. You need to come here.”

“Steve, I still love him.” You confessed.

“I know, that’s why I called you.”

“I’m coming to the compound, please try to make him stay until I’m there.”

“Drive safe.” Steve said before you hung up. While you drove, you didn’t care about the speed limits, you just needed to get to Bucky as quickly as possible. When the compound was to see, you saw Bucky getting on his bike and Steve standing next to him. You opened the door of your car and walked over to Bucky. He turned around when he heard you.

“Doll, what are you doing here?” Hearing that pet name after so long made your heartbeat faster.

“Bucky please don’t go. I…I still love you and I miss you so much.” You walked closer to him and noticed Steve turning around and walking back into the compound.

“Doll, I love you too, but I don’t want you to get hurt for going out with me.” Bucky said and stood up from his bike.

“Oh, Buck. That’s what you are worried about?” You said and he nodded.

“I don’t care that anything could happen to me, and do you want to know why?” You asked and Bucky nodded again.

“Because I know that you will keep me safe no matter what. You and the other Avengers. And maybe you and the others could train me, so I could keep myself safe until you are there to safe me.” You said and placed your hand on his cheek.

“Doll, I …I don’t know what to say.”

“Let’s try it again and give our love another chance.” You said and Bucky smiled a little but was still worried. There was silence between the two of you until Bucky finally decided what to say.

“Okay, doll. Let’s give our love another chance.” When he said that a tear escaped your eyes, he pulled it away with his thumb and pressed a soft kiss to the spot where your tear was.

“But later we have to talk about why you wanted to leave the Avengers, okay?” Bucky nodded and you took his hand.

“But for now, let’s go in first, before one of us catches a cold.”

“You’re talking about yourself, right?” Bucky asked with a chuckle.

“I’m the only one who can catch a cold here or has something changed Mr. Super Soldier?” You joked and Bucky chuckled. This is what you missed. Hearing Bucky laugh and seeing his beautiful smile. You and Bucky walked inside holding hands. You went straight to his room, and he opened the door for you. After opening the door, he turned around and looked at you. You smiled at him, and he finally kissed you. After you pulled away, you both smiled at each other.

“Can we cuddle?” Bucky asked and you nodded with a big smile on your face. You went to bed and laid down. When you felt Bucky’s arm wrap around you, you finally felt like you weren’t alone anymore.

“I missed you so much, doll.” Bucky said and pressed a soft kiss on your shoulder.

“I missed you too.” You smiled and were so happy to have Bucky back. You decided to have a talk with him later about why he wanted to leave the Avengers. And that you want to do everything you had planned the day he broke up with you. You want Bucky to feel loved and be there for him when he feels like he doesn’t belong here.

matsukawa uses cheap basic black pens. the ones that you always have to test before using and sometimes leave little gaps when writing but they’re smooth and easy so that’s all that really matters makki says “they match ur personality” mtsk drawls “thaaanks”. he keeps them in his front pockets and they break all the time and leak out so almost all of his pants have ink stains on the front somewhere but at this point he’s accepted it as part of his aesthetic. bc of this he doesn’t Always have a pen he can use so his backup is basic wooden pencils he finds on the ground or left on a desk somewhere almost always sharpened down super small with no eraser left so his paper are always covered with scribbles and scratched out kanji mistakes are never erased.

hanamaki primarily uses basic mechanical pencils. he likes the sharper point so he can fit more scribbles in the margins and he buys the cheapest ones he can find and claims they’re “more cost efficient” bc you can just refill the led but he always loses them before they need more. he just throws them in his bag or leaves them in books when he shuts them or tucks them behind his ear or slides them into the spiral of his notebooks wherever he puts them they’re not secure. he also has a habit of pushing the led out a little too far and breaking off chunks with his finger or on his paper whenever he starts writing then he flicks said broken pieces off his desk at unsuspecting victims (and issei). he steals cute little puzzle erasers from his sister but always loses pieces so they never go back together all the way and he doesn’t really use them to erase bc they always smudge the paper really bad he just thinks they’re fun and teachers frown upon them so it’s a win-win

iwaizumi uses exclusively basic wooden pencils. they come in big packs they have good erasers they last for a long time and they’re strong enough to withstand how hard he presses into the paper. also they’re easy enough to break for dramatic effect (he’d never admit this one). hajime NEVER experiences pencil sharpener anxiety he gets up he sharpens he sits back down. no hesitation whatsoever. plus if he’s mad he just goes up and sharpenssharpensssharpsens until his pencil is a nub but whatever he feels better now. oikawa calls him “boring” and “lame” he breaks pencils shreds them up and leaves the shards in oikawa’s bag. tooru bitches about it later he truly has “No Idea where these Splinters are coming from they’re ruining my nails!!!” iwa (smug) doesn’t plan to tell him any time soon.

oikawa uses Nice pens to take notes and fancy mechanical pencils to do work that might need erasing. he doesn’t bother with fun colors or anything just basic black but they’re expensive and write really nicely and he has highlighters for organization. he keeps them all in a little pouch with a keychain iwa gave him when they were kids attached to the zipper very cute very sweet hajime (pretends) not to notice. his work is always neat and deliberate but not obsessively so like it’s obvious he cares about school but isn’t passionate about it. there are often little scribbles off to the side that he shows to people bc he is above passing notes and talking in class but sometimes a man’s just gotta share his thoughts!!! but yeah fancy writing stuff his sister sends them in from the big city he gets them as gifts etc etc

Presumably Rocket has never used a medpak before Vol 3 which could be seen as a plothole but I think the better answer is that he never needed to, he's never been that close to death before, that's how badass he is

look I’ve put a LOT of thought into medpacks with no clear outcomes lol. thanks for sending this ask so i can finally sit down and process through all my too-many ideas about them lol (seriously! this was a great ask and a lot of fun to think about thaaank you)

short answer: i agree. my guy is a fuckin genius at evasion and survival. but... i also don’t know what our rate of comparison for medpack-usage is? i’m fairly certain we don’t see many (any?) medpacks before vol 3. for all we know, they get used pretty rarely in general. maybe almost none of the guardians have had to use one before, because they’re all survivors - the luckiest of the unlucky, or vice versa.

i say this because i suspect medpacks are intended to heal major, life-threatening, emergency trauma - not cuts and contusions, not things that aren't emergencies - and we actually haven’t seen the guardians in those situations tbh. until v3, they’ve come out of every fight with scrapes, or (relatively) minor injuries that can heal in time. plus, access to medpacks (especially while actively cavorting around the galaxy) may be limited, and if you have three medpacks on a ship with a five-person crew and won't be able to restock for at least another six missions, nobody wants to be the asshole who uses a medpack for bruised ribs when, two cycles later, you end up with three teammates who are bleeding out.

(as an aside: i think the only reason mantis uses the medpack in v3 on herself is because in this particular scenario, a busted-up noodle-arm is an emergency. they are in the middle of an unexpected attack on their home turf and they don’t know why, rocket’s almost dead, and mantis needs to be able to perform at her best to protect herself, her friends, and the people of knowhere. i suspect a painful case of the noodle-arm gets in the way of peak performance.)

this all leads me to add that i think crewmates want to avoid using medpacks for more delicate injuries even if they are readily-accessible. like, if drax cuts his hand off while trying to juggle his daggers, the medpack would heal his stump - but doc glirgoth on the next planet over might be able to reattach it with 98% return on strength and sensation within two cycles, as long as the guardians can get drax to him in the next rotation or so.

now. i also think rocket has probably sustained some emergency life-threatening injuries before, especially when he was newly-escaped from halfworld. however, i think he learned how to do almost all his own first aid thanks to his years alone and his brilliant mind, even if a lot of his efforts are clumsier than a trained healer might be able to provide. like, you know at some point, this guy got sliced up or shot at pretty bad, and he probably could have used a medpack but didn’t have access to one. rocket for sure has ended up passing out while stitching himself up, at least once. even when he does have access to healers, he's not gonna use 'em - not only because he refuses to set foot in medical centers (ttttrauma), but also because he has so many unique things going on in his body that he’s had to figure most of it out on his own. like. there isn’t a single medical holotext in the galaxy that can comprehensively cover his physiology. a healer would need at least a grasp of basic mammal biology and medicine (even this can be hyper-complicated) and probably a few different types of engineering as well. so no to the healers and med-centers: not only does rocket not trust strangers with his body, but they also couldn’t possibly be expected to know what they were doing.

finally, i also think it’s possible that he has used a medpack before in emergency situations for non-vital, non-synthetic, non-trademarked organs. i kind of think a medpack on his crushed, biologically-given femur wouldn’t trigger his killswitch the same way a medpack on his heart, lungs, or brain would. i haven’t studied up on medpacks enough to REALLY know how they interact with rocket (if there's anything definitive out there), but i doubt all organs and structures are linked to the killswitch and if they haven't been tampered with too badly, the medpack may still work on them.

i mean, fundamentally, you’re right. it’s unlikely rocket has used a medpack before because he is that good, but they’re also complicated tech we don’t fully understand and i think that allows them to be less of a “plot hole” than others might think. or at least, they are plot holes so artistically constructed that i can justify them lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ♡♡♡

Usually, when there was some really annoying, wannabe tough guy trying to harass him or Iako, Shuichi would try to de-escalate the situation and get them out of there, even if knowing his girlfriend could easily beat the hell out of them: but most of the time, it wouldn't even be worth that trouble. But this guy was especially stubborn, and would not leave them alone. To the point that Shuichi outright shouted at him to go away and leave them alone.

This angered the dude even more, who began balling up his fist. 'What did you say, you little...?!' And this guy was huge: a punch from him, would definitely hurt. So when he began charging at him-

"?!" His eyes widen, bracing himself for the hit; that is, until Iako tackled him down to the ground just in time to avoid the attack. "Ah...!" This makes the guy click his tongue in annoyance, teasing that he needed his girlfriend to save him before he decided it wasn't even worth trying to hurt him, again, and starts walking off. Ignoring his comment, Shuichi gazes up at her. "Y... You saved me... Th-Thank you, Iako. I thought for sure he was going to..."

He releases an exhale he didn't even realize he was holding in. Then, he reaches a hand up to cup her cheek, smiling. "I'm glad you're okay, too. Thank you, again..."

2wink have two vocaloid because i literally could not give them only one when the kagamines exist. could you imagine...

on the flip side, in ! madara would only have miku, but in !! (around the time double face (rip) forms), solaria would appear in the sekai, sort of symbolizing his own situation across eras. (she does not disappear post df-disbandment however i do think she becomes more reclusive to madara after that)

some of these are not technically vocaloid. What the hell is crypton going to do? Sue me? better make it count. better make it hurt. better kill me in one shot.

i literally have so many thoughts about this au this au is a whole year old at the very least but i don't know where to start, so. please feel free to ask me about specific units!

My newest thoughts...

I've been doing some intense thinking while I've been away. While watching Jk's lastest live, everything got connected inside my brain.

So back on 7/7, I had some sort of epiphany while answering an ask and I came up with the following theory.

(I deleted the post because damn Dewunkim has gotten on my nerves and I saw her reblog it. So if anyone has this in their reblogs, could you all send it to me? Thaaanks!)

Anyway, this is what I remember thinking:

If Jikook is together, they were told to lay low because they don't want it to be known that Jk is gay. That would ruin his chance to become a superstar.

It wasn't for military enlistment purposes.

Jikook continues to be spotted in Korea but is not seen by international fans.

Jimin is queer but also Jk. Is it possible that the company retaliated because Jimin's album was queer coded and he has been queer coding his stuff since a while back?

I feel like the stuff that's been happening lately has been confirming my theory:

•Portrayal of Jk as a straight male in Seven mv.

Not much happening in that mv. Boring, tbh. No chemistry although I do think that Jk and Sohee are friends now but the romantic chemistry isn't there.

There is that also that disconnect where the more explicit lyrics dont match the mv.

"It's the way that we can ride" and it shows a spaghetti plate? I could have shown...other things.

The song has a funeral scene with Jk being funny in a coffin. Be for real.

With lyrics like that you could have a really sensual and sexual fun mv. Pillowtalk meets Butter. But we got a comedic mv instead.

So maybe Jk is has no problem singing sex songs and pronouns but he draws the line at physical contact?

And for the love of the gods, I can't possibly see a connection between this mv/song and Jimin. That's insulting to me.

A song about a straight guy singing to a girl is for Jimin? Not for me. Never. Don't insult jikook or Jimin like that. Not everything has to be connected.

•Jk's Weverse Interview

He states:

I saw sooo many jikookers saying that the company was imposing this image on Jk and poor Jk blah blah and a few days before his weverse interview, I told a friend "Maybe this is how he wants to be seen. As a het male."

And there is nothing wrong with that! He can be seen as straight cool sexy Jk. Let him be and stop making excuses for normal things.

But the main point to take from this is that he is on his way to being a superstar. Being boyffie to Jimin does not help so they had to hide that. Lay low.

Knowing what we know about Jimin and how private he is, I imagine he was totally on board with laying low for the eyes of international fans. He is also selfless to a fault and he would like to see Jk achieve his dreams. This I strongly believe.

And also, a real couple doesn't need an audience. They are not a spectacle. So laying low is a win win.

•Jk's weverse live on 21/7

Basically telling the fans that he will do as he pleases so get ready because he has grown.

He wants to be the superstar Jk and for people to recognize it. Being baby star candy will not get him the recognition.

I feel like Jk knows quite well of his popularity outside of Korea. Even if the stuff he releases is not liked in Korea, international fans will support it.

International fans need the provocative. They won't judge and scrutinize the way Korean fans do. In fact, he will be embraced and loved the more sex he sells.

He will up the fan service. Y/n rejoice!

And it's obvious that the main focus of his promo was not Korea.

The target is a western market where not being queer is more profitable. Where soft masculinity is laughed at.

He's letting the softies know. Take it as a warning, softies lol

People think that his tattoo doesn't fit with his words now but Jk has always been like this. He just wasn't vocal about it.

While his tattoo says that he rather be dead than cool, I feel Jk hasn't quite found himself yet and tries the things that he thinks will make him look cool while still remaining unbothered about being cool. But we know that's not true.

So for me, all of this also confirms that Jk knows exactly what he is doing. He knows how this looks and how this is playing out.

He knows about the business, even if he stated in his weverse interview that he leaves that to the pros. A guy thats been in this 10 years and he doesn't look into how his promo will play out? Not believable.

That sounded like damage control by the company to meeeeeee....

In terms of jikook: They seem to be fine. Jimin went to NY to support Jk but not Seven. He "forgot" his password. He was also letting the softies know that he won't post.

I cannot for the love of the gods come up with a theory on why Jk is ok with getting all this nice promo while Jimin got nothing.

The whole "he is doing it for both of them" doesn't really make sense to me. Maybe I'll get the answer to this in a dream or while answering a random post.

So obviously, the whole "they are laying low for military enlistment" never made sense to me. Who even came up with that?

And why are we repeating theories with absolutely nothing to back them up like the common taekooker?

Anyways, hope I made sense!
