Hi I haven’t talked about John and Helga for a while so have a random idea I had at 2am last night

John had a complicated relationship with the men that Helga surrounded herself with

Some disliked him, others tried to step up and be a fatherly figure, but John never really responded

He didn’t need those men, he has his mom and his little brother

He didn’t need anyone else. At least not until Helga died and Moon/Matthew disappeared. Then he relied on Sherman, the only person that didn’t leave him behind

John has really bad trust issues because of the village his mother lived in as a whole. Most were kind but others hurt him and hurt his mother too

And once his family disappeared, he lost trust in almost everyone. Everyone but Sherman

I miss them so much Sherman and John John besties real

John and Sherman besties real. I miss them.

But yeah I imagine that like, basically all of what you just said really, for this scenario. Just- man. Poor John.

finally making the smallest possible post abt this smile but sorry i love lore i love being annoying don't PLAYYY w me over fighting a bit of misinfo 👍 but the mansion frm tftsmp isn't in the crazy distant future like sm ppl are inclined to believe, it isn't sm manner of cschlatt endgame, it isn't his final fate

first off, take this section w a grain of salt but i'm like 90% sure when the stream was being released either the cckarl or tftsmp account announced it w a tweet that said "in the not so distant future". i would be willing to bet on it but i haven't been able to find it. just smthing to keep in mind.

SECONDLY:

here's the clip where they say it doesn't, confirmed by Multiple Characters. cconnor says point blank "oh, he's been dead a couple months." and cschlatt doesn't disuade him at all? if you're in mega hell for a billion years that doesn't seem like the kind of thing you'd let slide? especially considering the type of person cschlatt is. if he had a problem with this comment he'd be extremely vocal about it.

thirdly: cconnor is alive? his canon ending is that he's dead but tethered to the living world in the nether w the syndicate, with a pink sheep. if he's meant to be dead, where's his sheep? and if he's meant to be revived, why wouldn't schlatt be alive too? it's not like the syndicate would have a problem with it, or bother to gatekeep the info? considering how lax they are with actual shitheads, i don't think mildly mean guy from 3k years ago is going to be on their radar that way.

this is in relation to the stream where cconnor comforts ctommy after being revived, where he shows him his diary book. ctommy flips through it despite being told not to and sees this:

which means that the cowboy ep was not long before the mansion ep. which is corroborated by every point so far 👍

fifth:

OK i think this part is just a fandom misconception but the tales characters aren't exactly reincarnations? at most they're related, themselves in a time travel sense, similar, but most are their own ppl AND even exist concurrently. in the wild west, we get john john as a character, played by ccranboo which draws the connection, but we know for a fact that the child stolen from that town is the butler from the mascarade. their stories are happening at the same time.

you see the same w characters reminiscent of cq, csap, ctech like. they could all be in the same room together by walking a few streets down. it can't possibly be reincarnation? one of the biggest and only clues we get to connections from the main cast to tales, in the main lore, is cponk saying she's related to jack from the town that went mad, and csam saying that helga looked like cquackity, and joked they could be related too. the characters just seem to look like/be related to eachother, but that's the extent.

Ive just realized that some of the newer Dsmp fans weren't there for the "Village the Went Mad" tales from the smp, meaning, they might not know about the Cornelius = Dream theories, or the headcanons that Tubbo is a reincarnation of Robin and that Tubbo reminded Dream of Robin.

Or that some newer Ponk fans weren't there for when Jack the farmer, the ancestor of Ponk, was actually shown. Like- wow.

As much as I love the idea of present members of the smp as the ghosts of Karl’s tftsmp haunted mansion episode, wouldn’t it be great if it were the people from The Village that Went Mad or from the Masquerade?? Like, imagine seeing Helga again! Imagine seeing James, Miles, Oliver, Jimmy, Robin, Corpse the cat, Liaria, and Jack the potato farmer in the same room! Imagine the pure chaos that would come out of that lmaooooo

And it wouldn’t be much of a mystery why all those ghosts were together in the same place despite not dying in there together at the same time, because they all died to the same thing! They all indirectly died to the Egg. It’s obvious for the ghosts from the Masquerade, but maybe you don’t know the truth behind the Village that Went Mad. 

If you watch Ponk’s streams, then you’ll know that his character Jack the Potato farmer encountered a red-eyed Jimmy(the mayor and Bad’s character) at some point in time. You know who else has unnaturally red eyes? Egg-possessed individuals. Jack the potato went mad and went in a killing spree with Shrimpy for some reason. You know who else goes mad and becomes needlessly violent out of the blue? You guessed it, Egg-possessed individuals. So yeah. The Egg was the cause of the massacre.

Anyway! Back to the point- Haunted mansion full of ghosts from the past that were indirectly killed by the Egg living in the same area where the Egg could be currently residing in is very pog.

I’m thinking about Helga in the John has a crush on Sherman au

John probably vents out a lot of his frustrations to her, and he talks about why he’s so scared to say anything, the bandits and Moon don’t stop trying to get involved, etc.

She’s willing to listen, she knows how confusing love can be. She was in love too once

She probably makes some side comments much to her son’s embarrassment, but she means well

I don’t think she’d like Sherman too much. Not because she dislikes him specifically, it’s more of her knowing how he makes her son feel and resenting him for unknowingly hurting John in that way

She cares for her son, she doesn’t want to see him upset

Like, in the timeline where Helga is John and Moon's mother, yeah, yeah I imagine she'd be supportive of John in his dilemma. And yeah, she probably would resent Sherman a little bit, simply for the fact that she considers him to be the cause of her son's pain.

John's life is kind of a mess but hey, at least he has his family and friends. That is all.

Headcanon that Helga was begrudgingly fond of Robin in a 'I don't really like this kid at all but if it really comes down to it I kinda don't want him dead actually' way. I mean, she did try to get Robin to speak in his own defense so like... yeah.

Life already gave Robin a hard time, and now he was forced to stand trial for the murder of his father figures

Helga felt bad, but god forbid she show it. She would prefer not dying, but she would have liked for neither of them dying

Major props to Ponk for tying everything together! He managed to tie the TFTSMP, Purpled, AND Foolish into the lore without breaking a sweat! This man is truly a legend and I love him so so so much!!!!
