just finished the first arc of arcane season 2 and can i just say how refreshing it is to see a mainstream piece of sci-fi/fantasy media that deals with themes of war, power struggles, conspiracy and politics revolve almost entirely around women? the entire first arc centers almost only on it's female characters, with them being the ones to seize power, have complexity in their actions and be calling the shots instead of how we usually see it in media, with shows like these usually revolving around powerful men making decisions and women just kinda sometimes being there to either seduce or be seduced.

my only real criticism of the male/female balance of the cast is that so far the plot related to science and the arcane are only male characters. the only woman involved in science and discovery was a extremely minor character that died in s1. that's a little disappointing, but considering how women-led the season is so far, i'll take it.

I was practicing his face because yes, he's a generic white boy but I was trying to see if I could make him look different than my other generic white boy (Athis)

Drawing this guy and only doing busts is so hard because he only has like three expressions and all his expressivity goes toward his movements but it was 3 am and I was not up to drawing this guy doing parkour

Made him a devotion paladin because it fits with his original Elder Scrolls backstory, but he's also from the Underdark so I'm not entirely sure how he found a Lawful knightly order in what appears to be Chaotic land. Anyway he’s gonna date Wyll and be angsty about it which is on-brand for him, and will again (attempt to) be much nicer than he appears
