Diona Build Guide

I’m actually having a lot of fun with these build guides so let me know if they’re annoying and I’ll stop. 😂 Anyway, I figured Diona was a good candidate being that she’s on the rate up right now as well as being given out for free in the current event in 1.5!

I hope some people find this useful!! :)

Role

Diona is a fantastic support character, especially at full constellation. Even without her constellations though, Diona offers a lot of utility in her kit. She heals, she shields, she regenerates energy, she can cleanse debuffs and she can even increase movement speed! Definitely one of the more versatile 4⭐️ supports in the game right now.

Diona is often compared to Qiqi, being a Cryo loli character but I’m here to set the record straight right now. Diona is better than Qiqi!! She may not heal as much but she heals plenty and she offers so much more to a team beyond healing. Sorry Qiqi stans, it just be like that.

Talents

Focus on leveling up Diona’s skill and burst, her autos are a waste of resources. I’ve only ever used Dionas normal attacks to shoot a guardian’s eye out in the abyss...and you don’t need levels for that. Diona is perfectly viable at Lv 70 with level 6 shield and burst, but feel free to take her to Lv 80 and 1/8/8 if you want her shield to be a bit more durable.

To level her talents Diona requires books of Freedom, arrowheads, and later on Shards of Foul Legacy from Childe.

Weapons

I normally list 5 and 4 star weapons here but there’s no need for that with Diona - the Sacrificial Bow is hands down her BiS weapon, surpassing any 5⭐️ bow. If you don’t have the Sac bow, she makes good use of the Favonius Bow as well. The Sacrificial Bow is made for her though, it provides extra Energy Recharge and can reset the CD of her skill which is insanely useful on the kitty cat.

Edit: Elegy of the End is pretty pog if you have it. Sac Bow is still the most comfortable to play though!

Artifacts

Overview

(4pc) Noblesse Oblige; (4pc) Maiden’s Beloved; (2pc) Maiden // (2pc) Noblesse // (2pc) Millelith; (4pc) Exile

Diona is pretty simple to farm artifacts for because she pretty much just stacks HP% regardless what set you use. Stacking HP increases the strength of Diona’s shield as well as the amount she heals with her ult. The set you use really just depends what role she’s filling. If you need a good healer, go with maiden set. If you don’t require that much healing consider noblesse set. Either can be used with 2pc tenacity of the Millelith for the extra HP%.

If you lack energy recharge (no timepiece or sac bow) then you can run 4pc Exile set.

Stats

Timepiece: HP% or Energy Recharge

*Run HP% unless you lack good ER

Goblet: HP%

Circlet: Healing Bonus / HP%

*If you want more healing use healing bonus, otherwise just use HP%

Sub Stats

Prioritize sub stats in the following order:

HP% > Energy Recharge > HP

Team Comp

Due to the utility of her kit Diona can fit into most team comps. She pairs especially well with characters that react into Cryo or characters that like a shield such as Hu Tao and Ganyu.

Potential Teammates include:

Razor, Xingqiu, Bennett, Xiangling, Sucrose, Venti, Kaeya, Yanfei, Ganyu, Hu Tao, Keqing (physical), Klee, Diluc, Jean, Mona, Childe

TLDR:

Diona is a great support character who is easy to build. She uses books of Freedom, arrowheads, and Shards of Foul Legacy to level up her talents. The Sacrificial Bow is her BiS weapon. She can use a variety of artifact sets that stack HP%. She fits into pretty much any team comp due to the versatility of her kit!
