Journalist Wadea Abu Alsaoud documents an attack by the occupation on a squad of police officers. Resistance News Network shares a report from Gaza’s Ministry of Interior and National Security that the bombardment resulted in the death of 7 officers and numerous bystanders. Police forces are not legitimate military targets under international law, as they are generally considered civilians in the context of war.

The occupation has deliberately been attacking Gaza’s civic infrastructure as a way to destabilize the area. This has included multiple attacks on Civil Defense first responders, healthcare staff and facilities, water and waste management infrastructure, and police forces. The goal is to dismantle Gazan society by destroying societal cohesion and eliminating the possibility of recovery.
