The Events Of Yoshi's Island And Time Travel

So as you should know by now Mario Superstar Baseball has done a lot within it's character descriptions for basically confirming the Mario Canon and continuity, and referring to the events of many many games.

Whether it be confirming SMB2USA wasn't just a dream, acknowledging the WarioWare games, reestablishing Cranky is the original Donkey Kong, outright stating Bowser lied to Junior in Sunshine, or making it crystal clear that it's always the same Mario even when it's Dr. Mario, even revealing new lore like the fact Petey is a mutant, etc. This game's character descriptions make understanding the Mario lore so much easier. With that being said here is 3 MVP Exhibition records descriptions.

Baby Mario "After arriving in a stork-related calamity, he and Yoshi rescued his little bro. Though he's supposed to be Mario in his youth, you can play them both at the same time for some reason." Baby Luigi "After being captured by Kamek, he was rescued by Yoshi and Baby Mario. If you see him and Luigi in the same game, try to ignore the temporal paradox." Magikoopa "The best of the Magikoopas, Kamek once attempted to abduct the baby Mario brothers, but Yoshi and Baby Mario thwarted his sinister plan."

So this reveals to us a few things, one Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island is indeed canon, a game many people try to say it is not. In addition this game would take place before Bowser would travel back in time to stir up the past and alter events. Like in Mario & Luigi: Partner's In Time and Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars it is mention Kamek only kidnapped the babies Bros. once. So this is game takes place before any future past alterations to the past.

Second this game acknowledges the oddness of Baby Mario & Luigi being playable not just this game but any Mario game they are playable alongside their present selves, saying to ignore the temporal paradox. This is similar to what Starlow said in Partners In Time about this saying to ignore the temporal paradox as well. This confirms any game where the Baby characters are in the present, they are there due to time travel. So any hypotheses that the Babies are the offspring of the present day characters, are clones, or some kind of creature masquerading as the Babies are just wrong. This makes it clear there is time travel involved in these games.

With all that being said the acknowledgement of time travel in this would make something clear, in order for these characters to be in the present they would have to be brought here via time travel. Since Partners In Time introduces time travel for the first time, then any Mario game that has the babies in the present has to take place after it in the timeline.
