Tenma Tsukasa "Happy Birthday!" (3) Card Story Summary

Fan translation (Tsukasa's #3 Fan) Part 1 / Part 2

Part 1: Tsukasa finishes a disciplinary committee during the first part of lunch break, which also happens to fall on his birthday. He's excited for Saki's birthday plans later that day.

After, An finds Tsukasa in the hallway and points out one of Rui's robots lying around in the hallway. When he goes to pick it up, it starts running away. Tsukasa chases after it.

The bot ends up leading him to the rooftop, where Rui, Nene, An, Akito, Toya, and Mizuki were all waiting. Tsukasa learns the plot was planned by Toya, with the willing help of everyone. Toya hands them all some homemade cupcakes. Rui also asked if Tsukasa would accept his gift of a new stage device that may or may not explode.

Part 2: Tsukasa, Saki, and their parents celebrate Tsukasa's dinner at home. Saki had cooked him something, and he starts crying before she even reveals what it is. She made him ginger fried pork, his favorite dish. He starts crying again.

Saki had also recorded messages from some students of Miyajou. Leo/need wishes him luck on his future stage adventures, Emu and Kohane want him to keep giving it his best during plays, and Shizuku, Minori, and Airi give him various thank you messages. Once again, Tsukasa starts crying.

Later that night, Miku calls Tsukasa to SEKAI, where everyone, including Emu, Nene, and Rui, had prepared a special surprise birthday show.

Various characters leave birthday messages. Leo/need are all happy Tsukasa loved Saki's ginger fried pork, and Toya, Akito, and Mizuki were glad the rooftop lunch was fun. An teases Kohane over the video messages, while Airi, Minori, and Shizuku are happy Tsukasa has a little sister who cares so much about him. Mafuyu also wishes him well here. Rui continues to tease him about the exploding stage device, to which Nene tries to stop. Emu wishes him a sparkling and wonderhoy birthday.

The great ol' headcanon that Wonderland SEKAI was created when Tsukasa was a kid but he somehow deluded himself into thinking it was one of his make-pretends/accidentally forgets all of it

I have a very VERY specific headcanon, where Tiny Tsukasa was terrified of the future and what's to come, so Kaito brought him to the middle of the SEKAI's empty field, and helped him plant a seed. Tsukasa, obviously, couldn't wait for it to grow and asked if it would grow faster because it's in the SEKAI.

Kaito just winks at him, and tells him it still takes time. When asked how long, he just responds with "it'll know when it's time to grow"

This not only comforts Tsukasa in a weird way, having something to actually look forward to in the long run instead of dreading the possibility of tomorrow, and also telling Tsukasa that it's always going to be uncertain. And that's okay actually.

Then bad stuff happens, which led to the Wonderland SEKAI being abandoned for a good few years.

The tree doesn't grow. Not for a long time, not even after the SEKAI was recovered.

Especially since the SEKAI now carries the dreams of 4 instead of just 1.

It only grew one day, when Tsukasa learns how to rely on others, when Rui learns to accept himself fully, when Nene learns to place more trust in her abilities, when Emu learns to not keep her friends at a (metaphorical) arm's length.

They were all in awe of the beautiful, flourishing tree that spawned for seemingly out of nowhere, but just accepted it as another quirk of the SEKAI.

But Tsukasa gives Kaito a smile, and Kaito just knows that Tsukasa at the very least remembered this
