Blessed Theogamia to All!
May the divine marriage of Zeus and Hera, our King and Queen, serve as a joy to all. May you receive Their generosity in your own marriage, and may you and your spouse be blessed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Orphic Hymn 14 - Hymn to Zeus
O Zeus much-honor'd, Zeus supremely great, to thee our holy rites we consecrate,
Our pray'rs and expiations, king divine, for all things round thy head exalted shine.
The earth is thine, and mountains swelling high, the sea profound, and all within the sky.
Kronion king, descending from above, magnanimous, commanding, sceptred Zeus;
All-parent, principle and end of all, whose pow'r almighty, shakes this earthly ball;
Ev'n Nature trembles at thy mighty nod, loud-sounding, arm'd with light'ning, thund'ring God.
Source of abundance, purifying king, O various-form'd from whom all natures spring;
Propitious hear my pray'r, give blameless health, with peace divine, and necessary wealth.
Orphic Hymn 15 - Hymn to Hera
O Royal Hera of majestic mien, aerial-form'd, divine, Zeus' blessed queen,
Thron'd in the bosom of cærulean air, the race of mortals is thy constant care.
The cooling gales thy pow'r alone inspires, which nourish life, which ev'ry life desires.
Mother of clouds and winds, from thee alone producing all things, mortal life is known:
All natures share thy temp'rament divine, and universal sway alone is thine.
With founding blasts of wind, the swelling sea and rolling rivers roar, when shook by thee.
Come, blessed Goddess, fam'd almighty queen, with aspect kind, rejoicing and serene.

Respect Neo-Pagans and Our Gods!
Although they probably will never see it (or care), this post is meant for Hollywood, Netflix, Marvel and all other industries and streaming platforms that are hosting shows based on but twisting pagan or polytheist "mythology" or ancient religions such as Gods of Egypt, Immortals, Clash of the Titans, Thor: Love and Thunder, DT17, Supernatural, Kaos, Twilight of the Gods, Blood of Zeus, Percy Jackson, Xena: Warrior Princess, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Record of Ragnarok, American Gods, Lore Olympus, and God of War games, etc.
The trend of creating content that demonizes, humiliates, or insults our Gods is upsetting and unfair. Creative and artistic license is one thing, but it's a double-standard for content about the monotheistic god or religions to be treated with respect even when under academic criticism while are ours are depicted as one-dimensional, villainized and humiliated. We are asking for that same respect.
Yes, content about any kind of "mythology" is fun, but the modern world needs to please remember that these were and still are RELIGIONS to many people around the world, myself included.
People worshipped these Gods, listened to their stories around the fire, married under their vows, raised their children, went to war, and but also built magnificent structures, wrote literature, prayed in their temples, and many more!
In fact, we still have vestiges of their worship! The names of the months and days of the week in the Western world come from Roman or Norse/Germanic Gods, the Olympic Games were originally dedicated to Zeus, the Hippocratic Oath was originally a prayer offered to Apollo, people from all over the ancient world visited the shrine and oracle at Apollo's Delphi, and many more examples.
And while yes, sometimes people were sacrificed to some pagan Gods (not so much the Greeks or Romans), but are we really going to pretend that many more people haven't died in the name of Christianity or Islam??
Lord Zeus wasn't just some womanizer, he was also King of the Gods, Father of Gods and Humans, the God of Hospitality, Oaths, Lightning, Law, Order, Authority, Monarchy, etc.
This was also Lord Zeus of the ancient Greeks:

This was also Lord Odin of the ancient Norse:

This was also Lady Hera of the ancient Greeks:

This was also Lord Ra of the ancient Egyptians:

Even if you personally don't worship these Gods, at least respect the fact that your ancestors did. Imagine if 100-200 years from now your descendants start making movies and shows that demonize or humiliate Yahweh, Jesus, Allah and Mohammed, etc.!
In fact, neo-paganism is the fastest growing religion in the United States: https://commonwealthpolicycenter.org/paganism-is-americas-fastest-growing-religion/#:~:text=Paganism%20is%20one%20of%20the,a%20broader%20form%20of%20paganism.

Our Gods are our RELIGION, not just your "mythology!" And both They and we, their followers, deserve the same respect you expect for your religions.
And they at least would never condemn you to an eternal fiery pit simply for not believing in them, unlike some other god I could mention.
They are here. We are here. They exist. We exist. And we are not going anywhere.

I'm not that anon but I think the other anon is referring to the myth where Achilles kills Troilus inside the temple of Apollon. As attacking someone inside a temple was disrespectful to the temple's deity this is a reason that some versions of the myth give for Apollon killing Achilles. Similar to how Ajax was punished by Athena for assaulting Kassandra inside her temple. Some interpret that Pyrrhus' death being related to a temple was a consequence of him killing Priam inside Zeus' temple as well
Hey anon! I've sat on this ask for a while ngl; you raise a few different points and I didn’t really know where to start. I personally feel like the idea of "warrior kills god's favoured in a temple -> god punishes warrior" is valid, but a little oversimplified. I believe that Apollo's reasons for "killing" Achilles are multi-faceted, both literal and symbolic. Like first of all, Achilles is the strongest warrior of the Achaeans and he's attacking Apollo's beloved city. Even without him killing Troilus, Apollo has enough beef against him. There are also some interpretations of Apollo's enmity towards Achilles based on the fact that they're both so similar, beautiful and radiant and gifted in the arts of healing and music, so perhaps Apollo was jealous of him and found his mere existence an affront. We should also take into consideration the intrigue and conflicts between the gods themselves, so Apollo attacking Athena's and Hera's favourite hero would be like attacking the godesses themselves. There are simply too many factors that cannot be dismissed when we talk about Apollo's choice to aid in the death of Achilles.
What I find interesting in the Achilles and Troilus myth is that Troilus was the symbol of eternal boyish beauty and of the young man mourned by his parents, something that is also true of Achilles. So there are interesting connections and similarities between Apollo, Achilles and Troilus that I don't think are random.
Personally I love that myth because it shows us a facet of Achilles that we don't really get to see very often. Troilus' death is referenced in the Iliad, and it is implied that Achilles perhaps killed him (though it isn’t 100% certain), so there are reasons to believe that this is a myth that predates the Iliad. This is important because it means that it had already been part of Achilles' extended myth and plays a role in his characterisation in the Iliad. As I've said before in other asks, Achilles is generally presented as honourable and charitable in the Iliad, disliking needless slaughter and allowing his defeated enemies their dignity whenever he can (or feels like it). So this situation where he kills a young boy with little to no provocation, in a temple no less, is fascinating to me. Now, we don't really know if this is the version of the myth referenced in the Iliad or if Achilles simply killed Troilus in the field of battle, but I find it interesting nonetheless. As much as Achilles generally holds back from mindless slaughter, and only indulges in it after Patroclus is killed, perhaps the part of him that shows no mercy and kills young defenseless boys with no scruples has always been there in a way, and comes out in full force when Patroclus is dead. I don’t generally subscribe to the idea of Patroclus' being Achilles' conscience (he has plenty of his own already) but this myth just gives me lots of thinky thoughts 🤔

hello!!! Any chance you’d be willing to write an Ezra x Reader with opal and winter??? I read your other Ezra fic and liked it so much I wanted to see another one! Preferably while he’s still with the ghost crew (like 18 or 19), if ya can! Thanks so much 😀
Life Day Conversations
Summary: It’s hard, being on the run from the Empire. You signed up for it, sure, but it’s still hard. Luckily, Ezra is always there to help you feel better about the choices you made.
Pairing: Ezra Bridger x Reader
Word Count: 722
Prompt: Opal - Faithful Love
Warnings: Kind of bittersweet, based off of what I know happens to Ezra
Tagging: @trixie2023 @n0vqni @imabeautifulbutterfly
A/N: So, I still haven't watched Rebels. I just don't have the time, so I hope I didn't butcher him too badly. And I'm sorry if I did.
Tumblr media
“Are you sure you want to stay out here?” Hera asks from the ramp of the ship, shivering as she pulls the thick winter jacket tighter around her, “It’s freezing.”
You glance at her, and flash the smallest smile, “Yeah. Just a little longer. I won’t stay out long, promise.”
“I’ll hold you to it. We can’t afford anyone catching pneumonia.” You hear the sound of her clomping back up the ramp, and you sigh and tilt your head back, your eyes drifting shut.
1 year.
It’s been one year since the day you defected from the empire. A year since the last time you saw your parents, your siblings, your nephews.
You don’t regret it. Not really.
The Empire is made up of monsters, the worst kinds of monsters. Monsters who look like your next door neighbor.
But you’ve never felt so alone in all your life.
Though, you’re fairly certain that your loneliness stems from the fact that this is the first major holiday away from your family. And as much as you love Hera and Kannan and Jacen…you can’t help but feel like you’re intruding.
You release a slow breath, your eyes opening again as you feel something cold and wet against your cheek. “Huh. It’s snowing-”
How…sad.
It fits your mood perfectly.
“Knock, knock.” You start at the familiar voice from behind you, and you turn to blink at Ezra, “I know you don’t like it when people just barge in, but I figure since there’s no doors-” He trails off, “I bring hot cocoa?”
“Hera is going to kill you if she catches you out here.” You note as you slide over on the boulder to let him join you.
“Pft. I’m not afraid of her.” Ezra hands you both thermos and jumps up to join you, before taking his thermos back, “I also brought a blanket, to ward off the cold.”
You shoot him a look, “What’s wrong, Bridger? Can’t handle a little cold?”
“Hera will kill both of us if either of us get sick, so scoot in. We’re gonna get cozy.”
“I thought you weren’t afraid of her.”
“Wasn’t me, must have been the devil speaking through me.” Ezra says solemnly, before he tucks the blanket around himself and then you, “So, why are you looking so glum?”
“I’m not.”
“Are too. What, you think I can’t tell what you’re feeling?” You scowl at him and he grins as he taps your temple, “Jedi, remember.”
“Cheater.”
“Is it cheating to use your god given powers-”
“Yes.”
He laughs, and drapes his arm over your shoulder, “Come on. It’s just me.”
You’re quiet for a moment, and then you sigh and drop your head on his shoulder, “It’s my first Life Day without my family. I suppose I’m feeling a little…melancholic.”
“You having second thoughts?”
“No.” You shake your head, “Just…feeling a bit lonely.”
“Well, that’ll happen when you’re sitting out in the cold rather than celebrating with your chosen family,” Ezra points out gently, “What’s really bothering you?”
“...I don’t know.” You pause, and pull your knees up to rest your chin on them, “What happens when you leave?”
“Hey, I’m not going anywhere.”
“Sure, you say that now-”
“No.” He turns to face you and holds his pinky out for you to hook, “I’m not leaving you. Not now. Not ever.” He wiggles his pinky at you, “You know a pinky promise is eternal.”
“What are you, five?”
“Five times more fun than you.” Ezra quips. “Come on, even if I do have to go away for whatever reason, I’m always going to come back to you.”
“Until you don’t.”
“Nope. Always. Forever. I’ll always be faithful to you. I love you after all.”
You sigh and hook your finger with his, “Then, I hope you know that I’ll always be faithful to you too.”
Ezra beams at you and uses your joined fingers to tug you in so he’s able to kiss you, “Now, we’d better get back inside before Hera sends Sabine after us.”
“Oh…well…”
Ezra hops down off the boulder, and offers you his hand with a blinding smile, “Come on, gorgeous. It’s Life Day, you shouldn’t be alone.”
You release a quiet sigh, but slide down the boulder to take his hand.
Maybe change isn’t so bad after all.

[ FINAL ]:     a letter written in the aftermath of the recipient’s death, where the writer knows they’ll never get the chance to read it. / for Brasidas from Maxima for maximum pain 😭
letters / accepting / @mindsmade
There had been a ceremony, after the news arrived to all widows, to all families to all of the government. Maxima truthfully, did not recall much of the day, only that the sky seemed to be akin to her own mind: threatening to collapse don't other earth and disintegrate into a thousand fractured pieces. She didn't. Her responsibilities were many and great and if the Gods were watching they had been the ones to make sure that one such as her never got a moment to rest or mourn.
So she had gone to the ceremonies, she had attended any and all events that she rightfully should to protect her place and that of her children. At least, for now, while she made arrangements, while she considered their options. Without Brasidas she could feel the vultures circling in and Sparta would not have her children.
For the first time, she had made her way to the temple of Hera and she had brought a promise with her.
My heart, I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive you. Truthfully, I almost started this letter off calling you the most vile of names. It would be deserved, but my rightful rage does not change your place within myself. When the philosophers spoke of the heart betraying the mind, I never thought it would be quite so literally. Despite my best attempts and arguments, despite having lowered myself to begging you — you followed your orders and left. You have abandoned me and your children. I begged you before the eyes of all the Gods and still you denied me. You cannot understand the shame that I have carried since that day. I have found myself unable to explain your death to our children without this awful fury boiling over. I have told them the truth, but I do not have the strength to explain why I do not have a body to bury or a shield to give them. How can I explain that in an attempt to protect this place, you chose it instead of us? I will never forgive you, Brasidas. I promise this to you here as I have promised it to the Gods in their temple. I might not believe their stories, but I hope my words are written in stone as their tales were. My words are as true as theirs when they reach the masses' ears. If I ever speak them they will sound as loudly as the prophecies from Delphi and consume the world in flame. When I was younger I used to have these dreams. Strange, that left me in pitches of fever and malaise. They were not prophecies for they never happened. I am no oracle. They have always felt closer to memories. They had grown dull for a while, but I have started having them again. In them, I see you fighting still on a battlefield with soot falling from the sky and I cannot stop myself from shaking. I know we will see each other again. I will make it happen while I still draw breath and I will return once that is done to our children. I will stand before them as a reminder: while their father chose a piece of land that will erode with time and forget him once his usefulness comes to an end, my love for them is eternal and unmoving. We will see each other again, and it will be you who will beg for me to stay. — M.

Yay!
Okay, I'll start off by saying that Jason Grace is my absolute favourite character in the whole of the camp half-blood chronicles. When I was around 12 or so I genuinely had a crush on him and now that I'm 19 I just absolutely adore him and just want to protect him lol.
Anyways.
He's been done so dirty, okay? Killing a former protagonist after his series is over is so cheap idc, especially if you kill him out of the blue after revealing that a huge part of what he fought for during hoo (his relationship with Piper) was over.
I can understand Leo and Calypso breaking up, because they met for two weeks or something and then 'fell in love'. They have a lot to unpack and a lot to work through before they're able to form a relationship. But Piper and Jason? They were together for five books, there was a genuine connection between them, they worked well together, etc. Idk, whether you ship Jasper or not, them breaking up outside of their main story for factors that weren't even mentioned when they were protagonists is a huge wtf moment.
I don't want to think this, but it feels like Rick wanted Piper to be queer, which, you know, is great, the more representation the better, but there are other, more sensible ways he could've used to approach her queerness. He could've had Piper mention she'd realised she was queer after the war but she still loved Jason because, you know, four books of relationship development weren't for nothing. Or, if he wanted to break them up, he could've given Jason and Piper more protagonism and explain their reasoning for parting ways better.
But I digress.
Jason's death was so fucking gratuitous, it makes no sense. Why would you kill a protagonist after his series is over? Why? Just to be cruel? So that his death can be serve as some stupid character development for Apollo/yet another trauma for Nico?
Also, are we going to talk about how fucking stupid it is to kill Jason specifically? My man had a very important task to fulfil after hoo: he was going to create temples for the minor gods to stop them from rebelling. You know, he was doing virtually all of Olympus a huge service and I honestly don't know how the minor gods didn't all collectively murder Apollo for letting the one demigod that cared about them die. Idk, if I were a minor god I'll go steal his soul or something to resurrect him, because everyone else is too focused on themselves to care about the minor gods. This is so annoying wtf.
And don't even get me started on how sad it is that Jason's peace was robbed of him when he's been in a shitty place most of his life: his mother was an abusive alcoholic (because neglect is abuse), he was raised by a literal wolf and trained to be a warrior ever since, he was the Percy Jackson of Camp Jupiter during pjo, he had to fight in the war against Gaia, he had to see Leo die (and obviously Rick couldn't wait until they'd meet again to kill him), and the love of his life broke up with him when he did absolutely nothing (nothing!) wrong. People may not realise it, but he's one of the characters who's had the most fucked-up lives wtf.
In conclusion, Jason is now part of Hotel Valhalla because Hera did one (1) good thing and glitched his going to the Underworld so that he could live forever. That's what I'm telling myself from crying about him 24/7.
Ok I just want to say that in some time from now unto eternity I may steal borrow that 'if I were a minor god I'll go steal his (Jason's) soul or something to resurrect him' because that's an absolutely fantastic prompt for the next book.
(Or maybe idk the minor gods wrecking havoc bc their only representative was killed off for the sake of an Olympian sounds quite nice too).
For the rest yeah you have a (many) point(s).

Hestia
In ancient Greek religion and mythology, Hestia is the virgin goddess of the hearth and the home. In myth, she is the firstborn child of the Titans Cronus and Rhea, and one of the Twelve Olympians.
Tumblr media
Pic by Christian Baitg on Getty Images
According to ancient Greek tradition, Hestia, along with four of her five siblings, was devoured by her own father Cronus as an infant due to his fear of being overthrown by one of his offspring, and was only freed when her youngest brother Zeus forced their father to disgorge the children he had eaten. Cronus and the rest of the Titans were cast down, and Hestia then became one of the Olympian gods, the new rulers of the cosmos, alongside her brothers and sisters. After the establishment of the new order and in spite of her status, Hestia withdraws from prominence in mythology, with few and sparse appearances in tales. Like Athena and Artemis, Hestia elected to never marry and remain an eternal virgin goddess instead, forever tending to the hearth of Olympus.
Despite her limited mythology, Hestia remained a very important goddess in ancient Greek society. Greek custom required that as the goddess of sacrificial fire, Hestia should receive the first offering at every sacrifice in the household. In the public domain, the hearth of the prytaneum functioned as her official sanctuary. Whenever a new colony was established, a flame from Hestia's public hearth in the mother city would be carried to the new settlement. The goddess Vesta is her Roman equivalent.
Hestia's name means "hearth, fireplace, altar". This stems from the PIE root *wes, "burn" (ultimately from *h₂wes- "dwell, pass the night, stay"). It thus refers to the oikos: domestic life, home, household, house, or family. Burkert states that an "early form of the temple is the hearth house; the early temples at Dreros and Prinias on Crete are of this type as indeed is the temple of Apollo at Delphi which always had its inner hestia". The Mycenaean great hall (megaron), like Homer's hall of Odysseus at Ithaca, had a central hearth. Likewise, the hearth of the later Greek prytaneum was the community and government's ritual and secular focus. Hestia's naming thus makes her a personification of the hearth and its fire, a symbol of society and family, also denoting authority and kingship.
Hestia is a goddess of the first Olympian generation. She is the eldest daughter of the Titans Rhea and Cronus, and sister to Demeter, Hades, Hera, Poseidon, and Zeus. Immediately after their birth, Cronus swallowed all his children (Hestia was the first who was swallowed) except the last and youngest, Zeus, who was saved by Rhea. Instead, Zeus forced Cronus to disgorge his siblings and led them into a war against their father and the other Titans. As "first to be devoured . . . and the last to be yielded up again", Hestia is thus both the eldest and youngest daughter; this mythic inversion is found in the Homeric Hymn to Aphrodite (700 BC).
Zeus assigned Hestia a duty to feed and maintain the fires of the Olympian hearth with the fatty, combustible portions of animal sacrifices to the gods. Wherever food was cooked, or an offering was burnt, she thus had her share of honor; also, in all the temples of the gods, she has a share of honor. "Among all mortals, she was chief of the goddesses".
The gods Poseidon and Apollo (her brother and nephew respectively) both fell in love with Hestia and vied for her hand in marriage. But Hestia would have neither of them, and went to Zeus instead, and swore a great oath, that she would remain a virgin for all time and never marry. In the Homeric Hymn to Aphrodite, Aphrodite is described as having "no power" over Hestia.
At Athens, "in Plato's time," notes Kenneth Dorter "there was a discrepancy in the list of the twelve chief gods, as to whether Hestia or Dionysus was included with the other eleven. The altar to them at the agora, for example, included Hestia, but the east frieze of the Parthenon had Dionysus instead." However, the hearth was immovable, and "there is no story of Hestia's "ever having been removed from her fixed abode". Burkert remarks that "Since the hearth is immovable Hestia is unable to take part even in the procession of the gods, let alone the other antics of the Olympians".
Traditionally, Hestia is absent from ancient depictions of the Gigantomachy as she is the one who must keep the home fires burning when the other gods are away. Nevertheless, her possible participation in the fight against the Giants is evidenced from an inscription on the northern frieze of the Siphnian Treasury in Delphi; Brinkmann suggests that the letter tracings of one of the two goddesses right next to Hephaestus be restored as "Hestia", although other possible candidates include Demeter and Persephone, or two of the three Fates.
Her mythographic status as firstborn of Rhea and Cronus seems to justify the tradition in which a small offering is made to Hestia before any sacrifice ("Hestia comes first"), though this was not universal among the Greeks. In Odyssey 14, the loyal swineherd Eumaeus begins the feast for his master Odysseus by plucking tufts from a boar's head and throwing them into the fire with a prayer addressed to all the powers, then carved the meat into seven equal portions: "one he set aside, lifting up a prayer to the forest nymphs and Hermes, Maia's son."[20]
Hestia is identified with the hearth as a physical object, and the abstractions of community and domesticity, in contrast to the fire of the forge employed in blacksmithing and metalworking, the province of the god Hephaestus. Portrayals of her are rare and seldom secure.[21] In classical Greek art, she is occasionally depicted as a woman simply and modestly cloaked in a head veil. At times, she is shown with a staff in hand or by a large fire. She sits on a plain wooden throne with a white woolen cushion and, Robert Graves declares, "did not trouble to choose an emblem for herself". Her associated sacrificial animal was a domestic pig.
Her Roman equivalent is Vesta; Vesta has similar functions as a divine personification of Rome's "public", domestic, and colonial hearths, binding Romans together within a form of extended family. The similarity of names between Hestia and Vesta is, however, misleading: "The relationship hestia-histie-Vesta cannot be explained in terms of Indo-European linguistics; borrowings from a third language must also be involved," according to Walter Burkert. Herodotus equates Hestia with the high ranking Scythian deity Tabiti. Procopius equates her with the Zoroastrian holy fire (atar) of the Sasanians in Adhur Gushnasp. To Vesta is attributed one more story not found in Greek tradition by the Roman poet Ovid in his poem Fasti, where during a feast of the gods Vesta is nearly raped in her sleep by the god Priapus, and only avoids this fate when a donkey cries out, alerting Vesta and prompting the other gods to attack Priapus in defense of the goddess. This story is an almost word-for-word repeat of the myth of Priapus and Lotis, recounted earlier in the same book, with the difference that Lotis had to transform into a lotus tree to escape Priapus, making some scholars suggest the account where Vesta supplants Lotis only exists in order to create some cult drama.

Ήρα Αιώνια - Íra Aiónia - Eternal Hera
The Temple of Eternal Hera is a religious organization whose purpose is to promote education, understanding, and worship of the Great Goddess Hera. We base our beliefs not just in the mythos, but in the living practice of the ancient and classical Hellenes, who viewed Our Queen as the perfect model of Womanhood.
We believe the Gods are deathless and eternal. We are a recon-based revivalist Hellenist community - thoroughly grounded in the history of our theological forebears, living in our present, with an eye to the future. Our faith may have died, but our Gods have remained. As we return to Them, we must apply the ancient wisdom to our modern lives.
As Hellenists, we revere and adore all of the Gods, but Íra Aiónia is devoted to the Queen of the Heavens. She is the ideal model of a Woman, of a Wife, of a Mother, of a Leader.
Our Values
We look to the wisdom of our forebears and the nature of Queen Hera to guide our values, which are:
Eusebia - a sense of reverence and duty to the Gods
Xenia - hospitality and generosity
Sophia - the unending pursuit of wisdom
Hagneia - spiritual purity
Kharis - giving without expectation and receiving with gratitude
Amyna - the stalwart defense of Hera's domain, especially women and children
Our Tenants
We affirm that Hera is the Queen of the Gods; mighty and worthy of no less praise and worship than Zeus, Her King.
We affirm that the Gods are deathless and eternal.
We affirm the reality of the Gods and do not consider Them metaphorical.
We affirm that the nature of ancient worship reflects the existence of multiple pantheons.
We affirm that we are simply mortals: we do not speak for the Gods, nor do we have special knowledge of Them.
We affirm that Hera is the beloved and ideal model of Womanhood and Motherhood, as believed by the ancients, not the cruel and bitter tormenter portrayed by popular culture and certain man-created myths.
We affirm that our traditions and beliefs are based in history, while understanding that we live in a different age.
We affirm that we are all students of one truth, and that we only know parts of the whole.
Virtues of Hera
Hera is the model of Womanhood, Motherhood, and Leadership. These virtues of Hers are an inspiration to all who revere Her.
Dignified
Loyal
Courageous
Mature
Wise
Temperate
Passionate
Protective
Creative
Nurturing
Generous
Unifying
Marriage
Blessed Hera is the Goddess of Marriage, and we view marriage as a sacred rite. As we do not have a priesthood, we do not perform marriage rituals. We recognize the blessed nature of marriage between any two consenting adults.
We consider the following to be blasphemy: forced marriage; marriage between children; marriage between adults and children; predatory marriage; forced polygamy; cheating; and spousal abuse.
Marriage is a vow that must not be taken or broken lightly. However, we affirm the right to divorce when the continuation of a marriage violates the sanctity of the rite or the dignity of the participants. We believe that it is between the individuals and the Queen of the Heavens to decide.
Cult Traditions
While these traditions are not based in ancient Greek worship and customs, we find meaning in them and embrace them.
Wednesday as Hera's sacred day
Bead-counted prayers and mantras (such as Her epithets or short, self-written prayers)
Associating each month with one of Hera's epithets or virtues
Discord membership will be taken as express agreement with our values and tenants. Additional rules will be posted in the Discord, and are intended only to govern activity therein.

Vesta Asteroid Through The Signs ⊹₊🔥⋆。°✩
Tumblr media
Overview: In Greek mythology, Vesta was the daughter of Chronos and Rhea. She was their firstborn and also the last titan to be reborn. Zeus, also one of Chronos and Rhea’s children, freed the rest of his siblings from Chronos’ stomach. The children of Chronos and Rhea were Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Hestia (also known as Vesta), Demeter, and Hera. Zeus freed his siblings, and Vesta was the last one to be reborn. ⟢
Vesta was worshipped by many and was regarded as the public hearth, as she contained the secret flame. This flame symbolized the unity of the family and the people, and many ceremonies were created in her name. She was acknowledged as the goddess of the eternal flame, which she protected. Vesta also refused to marry potential suitors. ⟢
Tumblr media
In Rome, a temple was built that contained the eternal flame at its center, and the priestesses of Vesta were responsible for protecting it. There were six priestesses in total. A controversial aspect is that these priestesses were chosen at a very young age, around six years old. They vowed to chastity and celibacy, serving for 30 years. Although many questions remain about this practice, it was the priestesses who performed their duties of devotion and purity. ⟢
However, they were punished severely if the flame ever went out or if they broke their celibacy vows. Despite these harsh penalties, the priestesses had special privileges across the city. Festivals were celebrated in their honor, and statues were built in their image. ⟢
**What insights does the mythology of Vesta offer regarding the role of this asteroid in our natal charts?**
Tumblr media
Well, if we consider how loyal the priestesses were to the eternal flame when looking at the birth chart, Vesta can indicate how focused, determined, dedicated, and devoted we are to achieving our goals. Think about how focused you are. Are you someone who is always committed to a goal or task, or do you find it challenging to keep going? Do you get easily distracted? What are you like when working under pressure? Can you show great discipline? Then again, perhaps your focus is narrow, rigid, or unclear. Maybe you’re someone who needs breaks often, such as a coffee break or a light walk. Maybe you listen to music as a way to help you get in the zone. ⟢
Vesta represented the home, family, and people's spiritual focus, suggesting that it can point toward the flame within ourselves. ⟢
Vesta in Aries: Your eternal flame represents your desire to move freely and independently. You’ll protect your personal accomplishments and be your own source of inspiration. You can actively focus on your goals, and you’re driven and self-assertive; however, you can alienate yourself when you’re so hellbent on your own goals without considering other people. It can be challenging to maintain relationships when this happens, so you might be self-contained when it comes to your personal goals and activities. Still, you’re self-reliable and unafraid to accept a challenge. When it comes to your sexual expression, you know what you like, and you’re willing to go out and get it. Retaining your identity in the bedroom is important. ⟢
Vesta in Taurus: Your eternal flame represents your desire to feel anchored, stable, and secure. You’ll protect your belongings and your comforts, and anybody taking your stuff is a big “no-no.” You can focus steadily on your goals, and you’re very persistent and quite patient. However, you can alienate yourself when you’re inflexible, possessive, and stubborn. You can tend to have this “mine” attitude, making it difficult to make any compromises within relationships when this happens. You might be self-contained when it comes to your personal values and talents. Still, you’re determined and have incredible staying power. When it comes to your sexual expression, you can be earthy, grounded, and sensual. Doing what comes naturally to you in the bedroom is important. ⟢
Vesta in Gemini: Your eternal flame represents your desire to be curious and convey information. You’ll protect your ideas and your intellectual activities, and you can become skilled at communicating and networking. You can be adaptable when focusing on your goals, and you’re typically willing to try out new methods and styles. However, you can alienate yourself when you rationalize things too much or stray away from the original point, message, or goal. Trying to have a conversation with you when these things happen can be challenging, and you might be self-contained when it comes to your educational interests and speech. Still, you’re inventive and willing to learn along the way, and when it comes to your sexual expression, you are communicative. Mental stimulation in the bedroom is important. ⟢
Vesta in Cancer: Your eternal flame represents your desire to nurture those you love and care about. You can be sympathetic, and you’ll protect your home and typically like to feel needed. You can be tenacious when focusing on your goals, displaying a great deal of inner strength that keeps you going. However, you can alienate yourself whenever you feel others are being too harsh or insensitive toward your needs. You might withdraw and feel upset with others when this happens. Trying to help you feel more at ease can be challenging in these situations. You might be self-contained when it comes to your emotional security and caregiving. Still, you’re motherly, highly protective, and caring, and when it comes to your sexual expression, you’re sensitive and emotional. Having your needs met in the bedroom is important. ⟢
Vesta in Leo: Your eternal flame represents your desire to express yourself and be seen. You’ll protect your creations, including your children, your individuality, and your ego. You like being noticed for the love you give, and you’ll also protect your joy. You are usually dignified when focusing on your goals, taking pride in your work and your output. However, you can alienate yourself whenever you are too prideful or childish or when you refuse input from others. It can be challenging for others to feel seen within your relationships if this happens. You might also be self-contained when it comes to your vitality and generosity; still, you’re a leader who knows how to direct your own life. Nonetheless, when it comes to your sexual expression, you’re usually enthusiastic and fun-loving. You like to be admired, and keeping the romance alive in the bedroom is important. ⟢
Vesta in Virgo: Your eternal flame represents your desire to be of service and to improve your performance and life. You’ll protect the things that you’re working on, such as your craft and your services. You usually won’t rest until you live up to the expectations you set for yourself. You’re dedicated to your mission and dutiful when focusing on your goals. There’s also a need to create order and to serve others; however, you can alienate yourself when you are too consumed by work and too critical of yourself and others. Relationships can be challenging when this happens, and you might be self-contained when it comes to your efficiency and planning. Still, you’re a natural healer who pays attention to details, and when it comes to your sexual expression, you are hygienic and very particular. Serving your partner or lover in the bedroom is important. ⟢
Vesta in Libra: Your eternal flame represents your desire to cooperate and work with others. You’ll protect the give-and-take dynamic within your relationships and partnerships, and you’ll want to create bonds based on mutuality. You can be tactful when focusing on your goals, weighing out your options, and considering them carefully. You also prefer to work with others rather than alone. However, you can alienate yourself whenever you compare yourself too much to others or when you sit on the fence for too long; having a harmonious relationship with you can be challenging when this happens. You might be self-contained when it comes to your taste and your charm, but you’re an intelligent diplomat who can find the balance between you and others quite well. When it comes to your sexual expression, you are refined and sincere. Healthy exchanges in the bedroom are important. ⟢
Vesta in Scorpio: Your eternal flame represents your desire to have deep and meaningful bonds. It signifies your desire for truth, and you’ll protect your sexuality and emotions, following your strong hunches and intuition. You can be devoted and driven when focusing on your goals, and you are always willing to investigate and look beneath the surface. You have great concentration; however, you can alienate yourself whenever you take things to the extreme or when you fear vulnerability. You can be suspicious and lack trust, and establishing relationships or being intimate can be challenging when this happens. You might be self-contained when it comes to your commitments and your power. Still, you’re a profound healer who is incredibly resilient, and when it comes to your sexual expression, you are passionate and dominant. However, an air of mystery in the bedroom is important. ⟢
Vesta in Sagittarius: Your eternal flame represents your desire to expand and seek more knowledge. You’ll protect your beliefs and future aspirations, and you’ll want to believe in your missions. You aim to be a protector of truth and honesty. You can be open-minded when focusing on your goals, and you feel uplifted when you can see the possibilities. However, you can alienate yourself when you are too fanatical or when you gamble with life without thinking about the consequences. Maintaining relationships can be challenging if or when that happens. You might be self-contained when it comes to your faith or teaching. Still, you are an enthusiastic explorer who never stops learning. When it comes to your sexual expression, you are generous and frank. Keeping a sense of adventure in the bedroom is important. ⟢
Vesta in Capricorn: Your eternal flame represents your desire to achieve and discipline yourself. You’ll protect your accomplishments and your status, and you’ll most likely want to play by the rules. You are willing to sacrifice yourself for security and professional reasons. You can be dedicated when focusing on your goals, and you feel that obtaining them is your responsibility. However, you can alienate yourself when you are overly rigid with your time and when you try too hard to control your environment. Letting loose in your relationship can be difficult when this happens. You might be self-contained when it comes to your obligations and organization. Still, you show strength and integrity in whatever you do, and when it comes to your sexual expression, you are practical and purposeful. Commitment in the bedroom is important. ⟢
Vesta in Aquarius: Your eternal flame represents your desire to create change and maintain your personal freedom, emphasizing your independence and individuality. You’ll protect your goals and hopes for the future, and you typically work well within groups. You also want your uniqueness to be respected, and you can be inventive while focusing on your goals. You’ll explore new theories, ideas, and concepts. However, you can alienate yourself when you are highly opinionated, stubborn, or rebel against authority figures who want to help. Having cooperative relationships can be challenging when this happens, and you might be self-contained when it comes to your humanitarian efforts. Still, you’re a major team player in any group you join, and you have a mind of your own, thinking for yourself. When it comes to your sexual expression, you’re intriguing and innovative. Keeping that element of surprise alive in the bedroom is important. ⟢
Vesta in Pisces: Your eternal flame represents your desire to show compassion and empathy towards others. You’ll protect your artistic vision, dreams, and spiritual values, and you’ll be devoted to those who need you the most. You can be fluid when focusing on your goals and want the option to switch between different things from time to time. You really need to recharge your batteries and have some alone time. However, you can alienate yourself when you’re too idealistic, too dreamy, or try too hard to please everyone. Feeling serene within your relationships can be challenging when this happens, and you might be self-contained when it comes to your psychic abilities. Still, you’re a highly rhythmic person with a fantastic imagination. When it comes to your sexual expression, you’re sensitive and serving. Tapping into a little fantasy in the bedroom is important. ⟢

Long post. Really nothing important just a theater script I made for creative writing class, than put in my university's art journal. Wanted to put it on here just for fun.
The Eternity of Hades
THE CHARACTERS
The Delivery Man Hades
Cerberus Zeus
Thanatos Aphrodite
Alexander Oracle of Delphi
Hermes Persephone
Scene One
In a dark cavern-like location, a man stands nervously in front of a black archway surrounded by jagged rocks. The man is carrying a large bag and peers around the edges of the archway.
Hades jumps out from around the corner of the archway, dressed in ancient Greek robes.
Hades: Ah! There you are! A bit late, I must say. Did you lose your way? I told Hermes that we needed signs along the river.
The Deliverer: No, it’s literally too hell to gone. Here’s your pizza.
Hades smiled: Much obliged, do you take cash? Or would drachmas be preferred?
The Deliverer: Cash is fine.
Hades pulled money out of a pocket and handed it to the Deliverer.
Hades: Thank you!
The Deliverer holds the cash in hand, as he walks back towards the rocky pathway.
Hades enters an area that resembles a form of Grecian temple, with a large dark red velvet sofa in the corner, where a dog is sleeping.
Hades: Cerberus, down! Just because mommy is not home does not mean you get to ruin her sofa.
A long deep tolling bell sounds through the room. Hades retrieves his mobile device while balancing the pizza with one hand.
Zeus (Through text): Bit of an update, Miranda is heading your way. Hera found out about “certain” activities LOL. Anyway, could U send Thanatos after Ares? He has been a constant irritation lately, as usual. U coming to the party Tues?
Hades places the cell phone down with a long stare of suffering only known by those who are kin to Zeus.
Hades: Why did I not block his number?
Hades sits beside Cerberus taking a slice of olive pizza. A dark figure with black wings floats into the room and grabs a slice of the pizza.
Hades: (With a scoff) Thanatos, you could have asked.
Thanatos: When is Persephone returning?
Hades: Two weeks. (He sighed)
Thanatos nods before he heads out of the room and back through the black archway.
Aphrodite: Hades! Hades!
Hades chokes on his pizza, as he stares off at the archway. Reluctantly he places the pizza down.
Aphrodite stood before the arch; she was wearing a new tight pink sports outfit.
Hades: Aphrodite, what can I-
Aphrodite holds up one hand with a sour expression.
Aphrodite: I want you to return what you stole from me.
Hades: (Frowning slightly) I don’t have anything that belongs to you, I rarely go up to Olympus, for a reason.
Aphrodite: Oh, please!  I want Alexander back.
Hades hesitates before he retrieves his phone from the table.
Aphrodite: What are you doing?
Hades: Talking to Thanatos, he is the person you should be speaking with as well. I do not take in the dead.
Aphrodite: (Waved her hand in dismissal, her bracelet jingling in the process) Alexander died, and I want him back.
Hades: No, I’m sorry.
Aphrodite: What do you mean no?!
Hades: Ever since Orpheus and Eurydice, I swore off returning the dead.
Aphrodite: (Crossing her arms, with pursed lips) “What if it was against his destiny to die?”
Hades: Well Destiny is shapeable Aphrodite. It can be changed by a single act. I will release him if you can find evidence he was taken too soon.
Aphrodite: (Smiling with a smug look) I will. I get what I want.
Hades: What did I get myself into?
Scene Two
Hades is seen walking around a room, in a robe with a bowl of ice cream in his hand. Cerberus is laying on the sofa, while a mirror is displaying the image of talking people, who appear to be in distress.
Aphrodite: “Hades!”
Hades turns the mirror off, then walks towards the door, he stops as Aphrodite comes inside, dragging a woman wearing a white dress behind her.
Aphrodite: This is the Oracle of Delphi; she will tell you Alexander’s fate.
Hades: Yes, I am aware who this is... How did you convince Apollo to let you-
Aphrodite releases the Oracle, shoving her forward a few steps.
Aphrodite: Tell him!
Oracle: Alexander’s fate, was to become the favored of Aphrodite before he gained eternal comfort and peace by her hand.
Aphrodite: See? He is supposed to be with me and in the comfort of Olympus.
The Oracle furtively slinks out through the archway.
Hades: No, I do not exactly see your point. He was destined to die. What did you do anyway? Please tell me it was not another Troy situation.
Aphrodite: What do you mean? Comfort? Peace? That is your idea of death.
Hades: Yes. I don’t exactly rip out peoples’ livers you know! I make sure that everyone who comes to my kingdom is as welcome as I can. Except for Pirithous.
Aphrodite: Life is so desolate then?
Hades: No, it’s not Aphrodite.
Aphrodite flounces off stage, while Hades sits down with his phone. A cell phone buzzes as a text message from Hermes is displayed.
Hermes (Through text): Update, we just got a new plant for the natural world courtesy of Apollo!
Hades paused as the phone buzzed again,
Persephone (Through text): See you in a few days <3.
Hades: (Smiling as he reads his texts) Life is not desolate at all.
End.

Today I want to talk about a deity in the Hellenic Pantheon that is unfortunately one of the more obscure and less talked about deities despite her importance especially as an opposite of Nyx. Ever since her sudden appearance in my life this year I’ve been itching to make a post like this, a guide and overview of a deity that’s the light of my life (/j) both historically backed as well as UPGs to make up for her lack of an official cult, readily listed epithets, or symbols of worship. Think of this as almost like a starting point for a goddess so important and invaluable in our lives to anyone that might read this that worships her or wants to worship her and is at a loss.
Hemera, one of the Protogenoi, and one of the Theoi Ouranioi was one of the first gods and the personification of day: both the daytime and the daylight always found in the sky during that time frame. Her parents typically are listed as Nyx and Erebos together, but sometimes Khronos (Time) and Nyx, or Khaos on her own are listed as her parent(s). Hemera’s brother and husband is Aither (personification of light and the bright, blue ether of the heavens) and their daughter is Thalassa, and in more rare cases Gaia and Ouranos are also listed as their children too. Hemera’s home is shared with Nyx in Tartaros but is only occupied by one of the two at a time where one rests and the other is active and playing their role in the universe.
Hemera’s role as a goddess in effect is akin to metaphorically leading everything and everyone that falls under her domain as the one ushering day in, the first one that gets the ball rolling every morning. She greets Nyx for but a moment or two as night recedes and falls day in and day out in an eternal cycle as she parts the veil and dispels the mists so the blue sky and all the light that comes with it and the sun become known to those that inhabit Earth.
Typically, other goddesses associated or closely tied to her are Hera for her position as Queen of the Heavens in a similar manner to Zeus’ connection to Aither. Eos as the goddess of dawn is also connected with Hemera where their names would be used interchangeably. There is not a lot of art depicting her from ancient Greece, and we do not have any signs of her having a cult or temple more in line with what’s typical for the first deities outside of a few exceptions. Interestingly despite the lack of a cult, a shrine to Hemera and Helios was found on the island of Kos. Unimportant tidbit, but interesting and a little fun that based on context her description as ambrosial-faced most likely means she has a pleasing face and she’s easy on the eyes, beautiful and potentially invoking warmth and light.
Alternate ways her name is spelled: Hêmerê (Ionian), Amera (Doric), and Amara (Locrian)
Colors I associate with her:
Any shade of yellow Lighter/softer shades of orange Pink Purple Sky blue Gold
UPG sacred animals and plants:
White horses The dawn chorus - comprised of birds like the Dartered trogon, Red-winged blackbird, Song thrush, Common chiffchaff, American robin, Tufted titmouse, Common pheasant, Baltimore oriole, Northern cardinal, Common chaffinch, Chipping sparrow, and the Yellow warbler Sunflowers Black-eyed Susan  Zinnia Yarrow Hellebores
Epithets (Almost all UPG since she has none):
Light-bearing  All-surrounding  Bringer of light Light giver One who bathes us in light Golden-winged Dispeller of night Night chasing  Chaser of night Ambrosial-faced The one that holds all-seeing light Radiant  Far-shining Horse-driving
* The last five epithets are the rare ones actually historically tied to Hemera

Note
your fav epithets of kronides? (also, why?)
Zeus: Xenios (Of Hospitality)
I had to think on this one for a bit because there are loads that I really do like of his (The Good God, the Giver of Good, of the House, Counselor-) but honestly, Zeus of Hospitality is... something special to me? So many act as if he is cruel, is evil, is bad, as if he would never grant anyone aid or sanctuary... but hospitality is about welcoming outsiders in, to give them aid, to give them shelter, to feed and water them, and all you may ask in exchange is a story of their travels. It’s about giving, and helping, and being a good neighbor, a good person, about helping those in need even if only for a night. And it embodies more than that, you don’t just have to welcome them in, you could give food, money, aid to anyone and that would be Hospitality. It can be your home, your city, your country- it... it’s about being caring, and that just- it’s so lovely, that he rules over that, isn’t it?
Poseidon: Gaiêokhos (Holder of the Earth)
Okay so the Ancient Greeks believed that the ocean cradled the Earth, and that’s kinda why Poseidon has this epithet, but in the modern day it kinda has a different feel (cause we know the land isn’t held by the ocean) of like... Poseidon cradling the Earth, that even though it isn’t literally an island on the ocean it’s still something he holds, he treasures, he is the Sea but he’s also guarding those on land, his people of land and sea alike- it just has such a gentle feel to it.
Hades: Nekrôn Sôtêr (Savior of the Dead)
This one is just like- so many view Hades as bad, or they woobify him, Hades is the Lord of the Underworld and... the Savior of the Dead. He is their sanctuary, they are in his kingdom, he guards them and hosts them and protects them and saves them. They have a place to go after death, they have his kingdom, the kingdom of the Dead, and they are safe there. It’s just so sweet, isn’t it? He is the Savior, which means he is not soft, he is still a king and capable of saving all the dead from wandering for eternity, he is not cruel though, he’s a savior, he saves them... but he is still strong enough to do so. I just feel it embodies so much of him.
Hera: Pais (Child)
I honestly like this one because so few actually... see Hera as such? She isn’t just the Queen of All (though she is and that’s another epithet of hers), she’s also the child of Kronos and Rhea, she’s the Goddess of Women in all stages of life from child to betrothed to married to widowed, she was once a child, she can be a child, she is of the heights of marriage of so many things... but she was also once a child and still remembers children and still protects them just as Apollo and Artemis do.
Demeter: Mægála Mítir (Great Mother)
I already said this one but  she’s A MOM and a GREAT MOM and I love her okay- There’s not much more to say about it-
Hestia: Potheinotáti (Beloved)
She just is beloved and 🥺 it’s so soft and sweet, and she’s not got many traditional titles known today because she was of the home and the hearth so her temple... it was the home people lived in. And she was beloved, she was the home, she was their hearth that they sat around, they loved her for it, she loved them for it. It’s so soft and sweet and she’s just- she is beloved.

Hi! How are you? I'm here again with more Troy requests as I said i will be because i loved what you wrote 💕May i ask for Paris x female reader dating headcanons? Thank you so much in advance, I love Orlando and crave for more content about this film. Finding your blog has been awesome and I'm enjoying your work.
♡︎𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞♡︎:
Pairing: Paris of troy x fem reader
Warnings: cuts
Thanks for sending another request , I really appreciate it! I'm ok, could be better. I hope that your doing well. Your so nice and I hope you enjoy! 💗
Tumblr media
Let's say you moved to troy from Greece to make things easier (because we don't need another trojan war)
I think it would be sweet if you were a common girl , ya know not super wealthy or highly ranked.
Maybe Paris' dad convinced him to get married or hed cut him off
So he'd anxiously and unwillingly go through the city with his brother looking for a girl he could tolerate and that his father would approve of
That was the difficult thing, every girl that Hector and his father would approve of was stuck up, boring, or didn't want to marry him due to his reputation with women
And every girl he was into was well- would not fit in well with the pompous Royals he was used to. Or they were married.
They spent 9 hours looking for a possible bride. Nine hours. It was sunset by the time they were done
Paris decided to go into the woods to practice his archery to take his mind off the day, he knew he'd have to do that cycle again tomorrow morning.
While shooting his arows he noticed a girl picking flowers not far away, what was a a young lady doing in the woods after dark? It could be seriously dangerous.
And as if the fates heard his thoughts he noticed a wolf crawl towards you and by the time you noticed it had already jumped on top of you.
You screamed out but the wolf suddenly went limp , it had been shot with multiple arrows.
You had been so stunned that Paris had to push the wolf off you and help you up
"are you ok?"
All you could do was let out a high pitched hum
He noticed you had skratches and cuts on you and ripped his tunic to wrap around your arm
You talked and explained your mother was ill and you had been taking those flowers to offer them to Asclepius (god of healing).
He had told you of his upcoming marriage and how archery helped calming him down
You were eternally grateful to him saying that you owe the prince a lifetime of debt
Paris laughed and walked you home
The next morning after giving your mother some healing water and saying your prayers you heard loud knocks on your door.
On the other side were two trojan soldiers, prince Hector and Prince Paris
You were very very confused but also very happy to see the prince again
He had told you that to pay off your debt you only had to do him one favor, you eagerly agreed saying you would do whatever he asked
" be my wife"
Hah , what? Marry a prince you only met yesterday. You had to sit down to think about it. He seemed very sweet, he was quite handsome and you had almost no money to support you and your mother. And there had definitely been weirder engagements under a shorter amount of time. Besides every girl wanted to marry a prince
Paris could sence you were hesitant and pulled out a golden ring with the biggest shiniest pearl you had ever seen
He told you that he knew he was in love with you and that Hera herself had blessed your engagement, and he pulled out a second gift : a golden apple.
A golden apple from the garden of Hesperides AND was gifted by Hera , goddess of marriage was the greatest gift any bride could ask for.
After they left your ran into your mother's room
" who was at the door? Why do you look so happy?"
" I'm going to get married, mater"
To say you were terrified of meeting your soon to be father in law was a understatement. But both the princes told you that Priam thought it was a brilliant idea that Paris marry someone as hard working as yourself.
And a week later you were married in the small temple of Hera troy had, as thanks for the kindness she showed you.
The city was not pleased about you a common girl marrying prince Paris but seeing as the marriage was blessed by Hera and the king , no one said anything.
Now instead of working all day and worrying about your sick mother , you would spend the time in the gardens with Paris, and youd watch him with his archery
Paris loved to spoil and shower you with riches, veils, dresses, wine, jewelry, anything, you ask and he shall give it to you.
But his favorite thing was sitting in the forest listening to you read him stories, you told him of all the great Greek stories you had learned as a child. The stories of Deadalus , Heracles, Prometheus, and Jason.
But his favorite story was that of Orpheus, the man who traveled all through hades to get his love back. He told you he would do the same if you were ever lost to him, because he's a hopeless romantic and a total drama queen.
And of course you had to deal with jellous looks day and night, but you knew Paris would never give a second look to anyone but you.
Although some days you would be stuck in your room, alone when Paris had to attend meetings and conferences. The days would stretch out longer than it seemed possible but it was all forgotten when he would come home, a bouquet of daffodils.
On those days, when you were alone you would visit Briseis , Andromache, or give offerings in the temple of Hera , you would always feel less lonely with her.
Ok this guy as a father would be hilarious- mans would be too scared to touch the baby incase he hurt them and too scared to fall asleep in case hades decided to take your child.
He'd teach the baby archery boy or girl, and how to be a proper prince/princess.
You and Andromache would laugh about how funny yet amazing father's Hector and Paris are.
But all in all, your days had been a absolute blessing since you had met Paris, thank gods that wolf didn't eat you
