Precipice
Long have I teetered the edge
The miles trek of back and forth
Without moving a single step
Daring to risk another rebirth
Hesitation, a killer, one I know all to well
Staring down this abyss I must finally embrace
Cycles within cycles, lives stood still
Stasis maintained despite all my rage
Nevermind the force of will
Will this be where the web is finally untethered?
Pattern within the Tellurian rewoven to another tale?
My chance is finally here
And will answer for their own Hell.

#my art#mission to zyxx#C-53#pleck decksetter#dar mtz#ok time for some of my appearance headcanons#i was just gonna give c little dot eyes but i was goofing around with the doodle#and i was like. oh actually little light up ocular sensors that look like 👁️👁️ are kinda funny#i'm kinda trying to hit the space where the juck bot frame could conceivably have the same inner workings as the c frame#but it's got more like. idk plating and synthetic skin and stuff#i also think that ideally this type of frame is supposed to be more fully covered? with skin. less visible joints#and is supposed to have a cooler better looking face#but they got it at a discount store that sorta refurbished it juuuuuuust well enough to sell#they also mention in the show that the eyes glow and the jaw comes off#if there were any other details i forgot about them#i like tellurians to be Pretty Much Human#but I do like the pointy ears interpretation for one main reason:#i can put perfect little pointy ones on tellurians that are the Standard for good looks (rolphus etc.)#and give pleck ones that are slightly larger and a little bent. i just think that's fun#i'm also a short pleck truther and do not believe he is skinny. that man is at least midsized. actually probably just midsized#cause if he were too big he would be too cool#ohh and first time drawing the k'hekk eye yayyyy. it should probably be nastier but i can only do so much#dar i really imagine round cause it's like the classic Big Guy shape and they have no bones in their head so it can't be that structured#bodywise my design is def inspired by tikkitronictonic and snuffysbox's designs#i was at a total loss on how to interpret the talons and chutes and flaps when I was listening and this is easy and smooth#maybe the only major difference is that i imagine dar is pretty hygienic and furry scales feel like they'd be hard to keep clean#with all the uh. goings on#so i've got those across the chest and arms and then the torso is smoother in my mind#also ik dar is supposed to be like twice pleck's size but it's hard to stand these people next to each other#my brother said they made up a thing called mass shifting in transformers g1 to excuse the scale issues. so i'll do it too. get off my case

Sign language for deaf tellurians in the modern interstellar era is often integrated into clearspeech translators by way of motion capture ear pieces and gloves. These same capture rigs can also be used for direct transcription (glossing) without translation.
Speech-to-tactile-text devices can fill the receptive communication gap, and other orientation and mobility skills and devices can fill the role of echolocation. In combination, these technologies can allow for a high degree of independence and self-expression.
Even so, many deaf tellurians still make use of personal assistants to serve as tactile sign interpreters and hearing guides. When speed and ease of use are a higher priority than strict single-person independence — as is often the case within many tellurian cultures — a skilled professional generally remains the preferred choice.
In-person communication within deaf communities also generally opts in favor of tactile sign.

📜 give me some of that juicy lore!
Mew such as Inari are what one would call Tellurian Mew. This subspecies is cute, round, and resemble a mix of a kangaroo rat and cat, with a pure Psychic typing.
Like all Mew subspecies, they have the ability to learn all moves. Though they lack the appendages for some moves, this doesn't stop them from using said moves in the least.
They are well known for their soft fur, bubble-like barriers, and their potent psyonics.
The ancestor of this subspecies is known as Terran, and they supposedly helped terraform the planet!

Cracking the Bone
This comic was created to introduce people to the pathos of Werewolf: the Apocalypse so as to introduce the upcoming reference guide for it: Werewolf: the Essentials. A team of dedicated fans and scholars on the setting have amalgamated all the best of WtA into an easy to parse format, coming to Storytellers Vault this winter! At long last, all the deep lore on Garou Society and the denizens of the tellurian are coming together into a single series of references that span the entirety of their lore, condensing thousands of pages into a single series.
Enjoy, and don't forget to share with your friends and follow this account and @werewolfessentials to stay up to date on news!
A very special thank you to @mekanikaltrifle for illustrating the comic, and to @wolfgirlbites @excelgarou @redratt @balthazarslostlibrary and @bekandrew for their contributions to writing this!

Medusa by: Clark Ashton Smith (1893-1961)
As drear and barren as the glooms of Death, It lies, a windless land of livid dawns, Nude to a desolate firmament, with hills That seem the gibbous bones of the mummied Earth, And plains whose hollow Face is rivelled deep With gullies twisting like a serpent's track. The leprous touch of Death is on its stones, Where, for his token visible, the Head Is throned upon a heap of monstrous rocks Rough-mounded like some shattered pyramid In a thwartly cloven hill-ravine, that seems The unhealing scar of huge Tellurian wars. Her lethal beauty crowned with twining snakes That mingle with her hair, the Gorgon reigns. Her eyes are clouds wherein black lightnings lurk, Yet, even as men that seek the glance of Life, The gazers come, where, coiled and serpent-swift, Those levins wait. As round an altar-base Her victims lie, distorted, blackened forms Of postured horror smitten into stone— Time caught in meshes of Eternity— Drawn back from dust and ruin of the years, And given to all the future of the world. The land is claimed of Death: the daylight comes Half-strangled in the changing webs of cloud That unseen spiders of bewildered winds Weave and unweave across the lurid sun In upper air. Below, no zephyr comes To break with life the circling spell of doom. Long vapor-serpents twist about the moon, And in the windy murkness of the sky The guttering stars are wild as candle-flames That near the socket. Thus the land shall be, And Death shall wait, throned in Medusa's eyes, Till in the irremeable webs of night The sun is snared, and the corroded moon A dust upon the gulfs, and all the stars Rotted and fallen like rivets from the sky, Letting the darkness down upon all things. Those levins wait.

The Coming Age Volume 2: The Easter Issue, Spring 1977
The second issue of The Coming Age is mostly about the filianic version of Easter. Note the HVH on the chalice on the cover, from the first volume's article about the unpronounceable names of God. One of the few occasions I've noticed it used, although that may change now that I know what it means and I'm on the lookout for it. This issue mentions that the previous year saw the emergence of Madrian faith from closed, private, groups into the public. The article names the Order of the Silver Star and Daughters of Artemis as the two Madrian groups spearheading the movement and it is noted that the issues of The Coming Age are "issued under the hand of the Goddess" by "The Order of the Daughters of Artemis and Lux Madriana" at the 3 Hill View Oxford address. So perhaps the Order of the Silver Star was the group living at Hebden Bridge? Because it is noted later that one group of Madrians was living in Hebden Bridge for some years. In an article by a mysterious Camilla (who's writing credits only appear a few times in The Coming Age), titled "The Feminine Principle" interestingly enough, mentions that "some of us" are feminists. Interesting because later Romantia writings would go on to absolutely bash the idea of being a "feminist". Aristaisans hated feminists. It also mentions that women are both masculine and feminine and "in this world we do not see the pure feminine or masculine, but only points along a sliding scale". I found this a bit interesting because, much later, the Aristasians would add Melin and Chelan to that sliding scale of gender, and allow some special people to be exclusively feminine, while regarding us pit-tainted Tellurian bongos as being mostly masculine, regardless of what we thought we were.
There are a few interesting vocabulary words in this issue: "Kear", which is defined "by Madrians" as a spiritual crack or rift in "our own imperfect souls" and between humans and God.
"Iahu", which I believe the context implies is one of the names of God (although this article refers to "The Goddess", which is interesting to note because later there would be much writing about why a feminine god should be referred to as "God" rather than "Goddess") and means "exalted dove".

telluric (adj.)
1800, "containing or derived from tellurium;" 1835, "pertaining to or proceeding from the earth;" 1836, "pertaining to Earth as a planet." The last two senses are from Latin tellus, tellum(genitive telluris) "earth, the earth" (see tellurian). Also see -ic. Related: Tellurial.

I do find it very entertaining that when Alden like created pleck in his brain and sprinkled in info about him throughout, he obviously intended tellurians to be human or the humans of zyxx so that pleck could be the token human guy of the crew (until aj), but instead half the fandom just decided that wasnt true and pleck had cute ears or tail or anything else non-human.
Like i assume the whole ‘im not pink’ bit is that hes ‘human’ so hes pasty and white boy pink but the more it got denied the more everyone was like this guys is PINK and solidified it entirely as canon. Which also makes it kind of silly because then when you apply that to other tellurian characters like AJ or Rolphus they immediately seem less cool or intimidating. ESPECIALLY THE EMPEROR I HAVE TO ADD
