"We did. I never thought I'd ever get to see her again..." Well crud that meant she could go toss that tacky helmet that was still sitting up on a hill back in the Valley. Oh well. What mattered....was they were together again. "Come on....I'm about ready to crash myself."
Her legs were tingling still from keeping up a high speed for that long. She knew here kind were endurance runners but....that was a lot for her. Add on her condition and rest was a requirement for all three siblings. She joined her brother in the elevator and pressed the button so they could head up.

SILVAZE FAMILY IS HERE!!!!! I've been thinking a lot about the concepts I wanted to explore with them and their lore and I'm finally satisfied with the result! Even though I'm not a big fan of Silvaze, I think the dynamics between them are interesting to work with. And for my AU, they're quite relevant!
Here are some fun facts about them in my Sonic Next Gen AU:
Blaze and Silver, the Empire of the Guardians.
- Silver and Blaze were together at the end of the Great Incident at the End of the World, a bigger problem that arose and began with Villains already known to them and Sonic's gang. - After Blaze became Queen of the Sun Empire, Blaze lost contact with Sonic and his friends. She could no longer return to their dimension, as she now understood the consequences her Trips there had within the Dimensions. - Her routine became more hectic than ever, although she always remained a responsible and organized Cat in her duties as Royalty. - Silver understood that Blaze was an important part of his life after all the past events, and so he made the Sacrifice of staying by her side in her Dimension. Leaving his future origin and his old team in it, who were now also in good hands and safe, in an emotional farewell. - Even though Silver decided to stay with Blaze, he remained responsible for being the Guardian of Time. Having possession of the Time Stones and ensuring that no one interferes in any event, be it past, present or future. - After time passed, as they were now married, ruling their own Empire and being guardians of powerful jewels with Blaze, Silver always wanted to start a family. But it was a distant thought, since pregnancy between different Species was risky for both the mother and the child. Blaze also didn't like the idea of being a mother very much, even though she knew that at some point, she would need someone to inherit her legacy as Queen coming from the same blood. - After some hesitation, Blaze makes the decision. She would also like to start a family with Silver, and is now more open to the idea. She mentions that he made many sacrifices for her and she was willing to do the same for him.
Chance and Cyrus, the Twins coming from the Sun.
- Chance and Cyrus are twins, born during sunset. Their names refer to Good Luck and Enlightenment. - Chance is worthy of inheriting and ruling the Sun Empire in the future, as she is the first to be born. - Although they were very close when they were younger, Cyrus feels that Chance should not inherit the Throne. Since she feels unprepared and often overestimated, this leads to the birth of a greater Envy. - Chance and Cyrus were conceived with their mother's Pyrokinetic powers. But not only these, they also inherited The Eternal Flames. Their mastery of these is equivalent to the total mastery of fire that will never go out, being lethal if it reaches its Peak. Their powers were dormant within them when they were still young, and neither of them knew about it… Until they became young Adults. - Cyrus can also teleport and create weapons through telekinetic powers. Chance has always been very reluctant about his powers over fire, having much more connection to the Flames than his brother. - Chance, despite being destined for the Throne, never felt confident about it. She talks countless times about her insecurity with her father, with the fear of disappointing everyone. Silver has always been one of her great voices to guide and calm her. While her mother, has always been the inspiration to keep doing the right thing and be determined during her journey. - Cyrus has always shown interest in the throne, but while he has not yet achieved it, he has trained to continue as the protector of Time, like his father. Although he was never able to actually go with him during his time away, he learned a lot from Silver about how time can be treacherous and affect countless events… Something he always reminds himself of.
Nova Del Sol, the Youngest Prince.
- Nova is the youngest child and also the most withdrawn of the other two siblings. Born during the night, this last pregnancy was the calmest Blaze has had, which was a positive surprise, knowing the great risks involved in having children of different species. - Unlike his two siblings, Nova never had any great connections with fire, he always had an irrational fear of large Flames. - He was always very interested in the stars and the waters. - Nova has the ability to create a Gravitational Field, despite being a child, he gained great mastery over his powers. As a baby, his abilities acted erratically and almost always as his feelings took over. - Blaze always comforts him by reading books and telling stories during his nightmares, something that happens quite often. - Silver always enjoyed playing with him, creating stories and helping him with his lessons. Although he is always surprised by his own son's reasoning ability. - There are times when Nova says, "I've seen this before," but in reality, he has brief visions of the future. He still hasn't figured out the purpose of this, perhaps it's to predict something worse coming in the future…
Extra Fun Fact: All 3 children end with "Del Sol" since they are children of mixed species. A concept I put into my Next Gen AU: Although they are not necessarily a mix of species, their names do not end with the animal they are. Which indicates that they are considered hybrid children! (The theory of Amy Rose being part Echidna is interesting to me too lol) Finally, I believe that's it! I've been planning to write and draw some scenes about them. Even though I've already shown a bit of Chance's old concept here, I feel like I ended up giving her a new vision, and besides… I ended up adapting what was already going to happen before >:) See here also my SonAmy kid: Skyler The Hedgehog! See here also my Shadow's kid: Aura The Porcupine! Thank you very much for reading, sorry for the English mistakes! <3

Poll 2, Round 3.
Tumblr media
About Lily: (by @galacticghoste) Lily is a magic tube baby. She is a genetic copy of her kinda twin Iris only difference is she has Tails DNA.She loves the outdoors and gardening and since she magic tube baby she gain the ability to manipulate plants instead of just being able to communicate and empathize with them she not big on fighting as some of her friends but she will do it to protect those she holds dear.
About Ari: (by @pokeypoqi) Ari is the single daughter of Silver the Hedgehog and Amy Rose, she lives a pretty normal life besides some abnormal inheritances (cough cough, Silver's telekinesis) and, well... I mean, having your dad be from the future is kinda rough. Anywho, despite outbursts few and far between, Ari is a gentle spirit at her very core. She tends to be quiet and reserved, but has her mother's compassion and love for the world, and finds a lot of enjoyment in the little things. Her mastery over her telekinetic abilities is... well, acceptable; she has the basics down, really, which tends to allow it to get out of control when backed up by strong emotions, sudden imbalances, etc. Ari's a good kid, but she definitely has SOME repressed grudges against not having a very "normal" family, and being quite isolated in her earlier years. (Note: Yet to make other fankids (besides Wafer, if anyone remembers her) to go with Ari, so hopefully she will get some friends her age EVENTUALLY lol)

"Whatever, Chaos Control."
In a blink of an eye, both of us were in back in Amy's living room. I felt great knowing that Shadow had heard my calls for help, and it felt even greater to know that he cared about me in one way or another, whether he admitted it to himself or not.
"Shadow?"
Shadow turned to look at me from the bottom of the steps. The look he held wasn't one of anger or annoyance, but of concern.
"If you are about to ask to see her I suggest you hold your tongue. She is still resting and I'll be damned if you want me to wake her for something like this."
"Woah, calm down. I stare at her room for a couple of seconds and you think I want to talk to her at a time like this?"
"Be serious," Shadow had his teeth clenched in either anger or jealously. "Just because she trusts you and gives a damn about your life does not mean you know her as I do. Keep your distance and we will get along fine."
"Then what gives you the right to push people away for her. I feel guilty enough that I'm here, and even more guilty that I have to put her through this. You have no idea what I feel or who I am! So don't tell me what I can and cannot do!"
"At least I know what is best for her! You didn't even know her in your time!"
"That's why I am here! To make sure she lives to see the future! But you don't care about that! All you care about is that I am here and she cares about me now! Stop thinking with your jealously and start thinking with that 'oh so logical' brain of yours!"
I stormed away from him and made my way into the kitchen preparing to make myself a glass of chocolate milk. As I reached for a glass a memory began to play in my head.
--
A young Silver was running through the halls of his barren home, he giggled as he watched the toy rabbit he was playing with float in the air, covered with the mist of magic he calls his telekinetic powers. Unbeknownst to him, through Silver's laughs, his father's sobs rattled the walls of his room. Shadow was clutching the framed picture of his deceased wife, Amy Rose. The picture was taken in a field of pink wildflowers in mid-spring, right when they were at full-bloom. Amy was standing there in a red spring dress and a peach, wide brim hat. Her happiness shines through the smile she gives to the camera.
"You are more beautiful than any flower in any field." That is what Shadow had said when he took that picture.
A little over a year later, everything in that photo would cease to exist. The field would be destroyed. His Rose would die soon after. The memory of that day made Shadow cry harder into his free hand.
Silver passed by his father's room and heard the awful noise of sadness that seeped through the thin, wooden door. Usually, his father never let sadness run through him, and instead displayed an array of love and happiness whenever Silver saw him. To hear him so sad confused Silver.
"Papa?" Silver dropped the rabbit he was playing with and frowned. His little fingers tapped on the door, trying to get it open. But it was to heavy for Silver. "Papa? Papa, are you sad?"
Silver tapped on the door a little louder. The crying suddenly stopped. He heard silence then followed the shuffling of footsteps.
"Come in, Silver. Papa is alright."
Silver smiled as he excitedly opened the door.
"Papa!" Silver ran to his father and engulfed him into a big hug. Shadow wrapped his arm around his son and used the other to pet his quills on his head. "Papa, were you sad?"
Silver felt his father tense at the question, then he heard him sigh.
"Yes, my son, Papa is sad. But it's okay, Papa will be okay. Don't worry."
Silver looked up at his father and smiled brightly.
"Really?"
That smile made Shadow break inside; it was just like his precious Rose. Tears dropped down Shadow's tired face.
"My son, you look just like your mother. You have her loving heart. Her beautiful eyes. Her bright smile."
Silver looked confused as to why his father was crying. Usually, he would smile when he talked about the boy's mother, but this time was different.
"Papa?"
Shadow dried his tears and picked his son up. Silver giggled his father placed the young boy atop his shoulder.
"Mommy loved you very much my son. She will always be with us." Silver simply nodded his head. He had wished he had met his mother, and every time he heard of her, it made him feel sad. Shadow took notice of this and walked towards the door. "Hey, what did I say about being sad? Only Papa can be sad around here."
"Why?"
"Because sad boys don't get chocolate milk."
"Chocolate milk! Okay, I'll stop being sad! I want chocolate milk, Papa!"
Shadow chuckled at the bouncing boy on his shoulder as he walked towards the kitchen and towards the refrigerator. Shadow put Silver down to prepare the two glasses of chocolate milk. Meanwhile Silver watched excitedly as his father poured in the chocolate syrup into the glasses and stirred them, making them a rich brown color. Shadow passed one glass to Silver and kept the other to himself.
"Hey! I thought sad boys couldn't drink chocolate milk!"
"But I'm not sad."
"Why?"
"Because, I have you here with me. That is all I need to be happy."
"Me too! And even more that I have chocolate milk."
"Always remember, my son, remember how much your father loves you."
"I love you too papa!"
--
I smiled through the tears running down my face, and I watched them as they dropped around the glass of chocolate milk.
"Rest easy my dear parents. We have a long road ahead of us."

SonicAU . . . I guess??
Honestly, I just need To share this so it’s out of my head, but I’d love to hear some thoughts! Also, will never do anything with it, so, it’s up for grabs!
So, several THOUSANDS of years into the future, most of Sonic & Co are dead, and have passed into legend. Like, they were clearly real people, but so much time has passed that most people consider their adventures a bit exaggerated, ya know? Like, the events surrounding them HAPPENED, clearly, but most people think they were blown a little out of proportion, or were actually more mundane phenomena that wasn’t well understood at the time. The planet didn’t REALLY break apart! Chaos wasn’t some giant dragon thing, probably just a massive wave! A hedgehog? Running at super sonic speed? Well, THAT seems unlikely! That sort of thing.
Anyway, this a Cyber!Punk/Star Trek future, where we all have crazy tech based off of synthetic Chaos Energy, a lot of it pioneered by Prower Technologies (the company started by Miles “Tails” Prower, still going strong). One of the current “heirs” to Prower Tech, is Kilamitra “Trip” Prower (trip short for triple), the three-tailed, several times great-granddaughter of Tails. She doesn’t really WANT to take over the company, and instead wants to join The Chaos Corp, sort of like the Federation from Star Trek, mixed with a bit of Voltron (mostly the Legendary Defender part). When she does, she ends up meeting-
“Kicks”, the grandson of Knuckles, (I like to think Knuckles has an extended lifespan, thanks to the Master Emerald, so the generations between his kids are fewer) whose older sister is a commanding officer in the Chaos Corp, and who wants to prove himself to his family. Unlike most of his family’s penchant for punching things, he prefers kicks (obviously).
Ora, daughter of Silver, (finally stopped time-travelling, settled down, had kids) who’s struggling to control her telekinetic powers. Since they aren’t as reliable for her to fight with, she also wields a giant hammer, or club.
Marianne “Sunny” Kintobor, somewhat distant descendant of Eggman, hoping to fight against the reputation her ancestor stuck their family with. A tech genius. One of the few human/“uplander” characters. Looks very like Maria Robotnik.
A very mysterious black & red hedgehog, called “Dark”, who seems to be hiding something. He has a friend called “Sage”, who will call him often.
And finally, Nikki. A blue Hedgehog who has spent her whole life hiding the fact she can run faster than the speed of sound. Nikki actually doesn’t know who her family is - she was found alone as a baby, and was presumed to be abandoned. She is cagey about her speed, and seems to want to keep it on the down low.
So, only other things that popped up:
- The initial big-bad would absolutely be an Eggman fanboy wannabe, who really wants to be the next Robotnik, but, ya know. Successful. Probably not ACTUALLY related to him in any way, but that isn’t stopping him from CLAIMING he is. Marianne is adamant they are NOT related.
- Dark is Shadow. In case that wasn’t obvious. Turns out being the “Ultimate Lifeform” makes you functionally immortal, which has been … rough. Watching your friends outlive you isn’t exactly FUN. He ended up fairly close to Knuckles, who aged much slower, but it was still hard. He’s had periods of time where he’s separated himself from civilization, and periods of activity but most recently, he’s heard whispers about the Chaos Corp, about something big being worked on, and came out of isolation to investigate.
- Sage, being an artificial being, is ALSO functionally immortal, and took it very hard when her dad, Eggman, died. She tried for a while to keep up his legacy, but her heart wasn’t in it, and eventually she retreated with the few bots of Eggman’s that were still functional. Eventually, mostly through chance, she encountered Shadow, and the two bonded over their long lives, and what that meant for them. They’ve spent a lot of time together, and are now quite close. Their relationship is very brother and sister, with the pair often teasing and fighting with each other, but also very protective of one another. When Shadow went to infiltrate the Chaos Corp, Sage accompanied him. She is actually hiding in a special watch she developed, that Shadow wears, which lets her get into all sorts of tech, as long as she’s in range. She has VERY complicated feelings about Marianne.
- Nikki is, in fact, Sonic’s descendant … technically. She would be counted as Sonic’s daughter, but is actually an attempt at a clone. Sonic DID have kids, but his family in general was actually much more low-key, and most of them took after the mom (Amy? Sally? Rando?) so didn’t have the super speed. Someone *cough*Eggman Wannabe*cough* tried to clone Sonic from old samples, but had to do some genetic gymnastics to have a viable fetus, so Nikki is closer to a daughter than a clone (I mean … that should be pretty obvious? Unless you subscribe to Trans!Sonic, in which case, more direct clone). When someone in a position of power learned of the cloning attempt, they raided the lab, but Nikki was “sent away”. She was later found, put in the system, and adopted. Her name comes from a medical bracelet she was wearing - SONIC-I. The first two letters were smudged out, and the C with the dash looked like a K, the one like a capital I, so, Nikki.
- current Sonic descendants actually work as historians and archaeologists. Their family is still close with the Prower family, and recently, became connected through marriage.
- the Chaos Corp is so named because they guard the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald. Knuckles was the original founder, when he realized he was going to get older, and before he had found someone to settled down with, or had kids. They have devices that let some of their more seasoned members use a single Emerald to boost them, but this can be dangerous, and possibly fatal without the right training. Still, being an “Emeraldeer” is seen as a very prestigious position, and the one many cadets gun for. There has been a recent, rather rapid shift in leadership, which is giving a few people pause, and there are rumours about a project to “bring back heroes” …
(thoughts, feelings, opinions?)

Sonic World project plan: Silver & Blaze (Vol. 1)
Tumblr media
This series is not an assured project. It is a concept that can still be changed or scrapped.
Synopsis
There has been an anachronism in the timeline. Silver goes into space to investigate. They have to fight Dark Oak and the Metarex to save the timeline. Both also run into a mysterious new fiend named Paradox.
Characters
Silver the Hedgehog - An optimistic, telekinetic hedgehog who comes from the future. He travelled into space to stop an event that will destroy the future.
Blaze the Cat - The princess of the Sol Dimension and best friend of Silver. She has pyrokinetic powers.
Dark Oak - The leader of the Metarex. He is a half-cybernetic/half-botanical alien being. He seeks to spread floronic life across the universe that will destroy all beings of flesh.
Paradox the Hedgehog - A mysterious purple hedgehog connected to Dark Oak. He wears high-tech speed shoes.
Black Narcissus - A narcissistic high-ranking member of the Metarex.
Urthia - A female high-ranking member of the Metarex with a wrathful personality.

Chapter 7: Ruthless, Rueful, Toothless, Truthful
Tensions run high as Silver is introduced to the sharper side of detective work - in his opinion, anyway.
As I said - more of a part two, so I had to kick this out quick. I'm gonna rest a few days after this one, but I really appreciate everyone who is reading along! ❤️❤️

I just had a wild dream where my brain created a whole new Sonic the Hedgehog game to explain Silver's continued existence in the games.
I wanna write it down before I forget, because I'm proud of my brain for putting so much detail into this during a dream.
So, there wasn't any name, but there were six mini stories. The first was Shadow Lancelot on his own, the second Silver and Amy Rose as a sidekick, and the third Sonic and Maria as a sidekick (yes she was alive). There were three more you had to unlock by playing the first three stories, being a version of Silver who tried to contain Mephiles within himself (kinda like Elise and Blaze did with Iblis, but Silver failed) and an Amy Rose mid roboticization sidekick, Maria and Shadow with Maria being the character you play as, and Sonic with Metal Sonic as a sidekick.
So, the only one I played in my dream was the Sonic and Maria one. From what I could gather, there's numerous timelines for the games, and due to Silver time travelling at least once in every timeline, some have the ability to hop between timelines. The Silver we keep seeing in the games is a version of Silver from a timeline that was completely destroyed except for him.
The villain of the game is a version of Silver where both Iblis and Mephiles had to be contained within a living person, and when he tried to contain him using himself in the future, it failed and he basically got possessed. His telekinetic powers have been replaced with the power to shadow bend and control these purple crystals. He's begun hopping between timelines and merging them together, as well as trying to possess more people to create a hive mind to search for a version of Iblis he can fuse with and become Solaris. This possession of people outside of the Silver he's currently in kind of works as an infection.
Your sidekick doesn't follow you into the levels. Instead, there's this small hub world with the levels. As Sonic, you can talk with Maria, and she'll follow you around the hub. In the storyline for them, Sonic is trying to find a way to stop the possession of Maria, since she's gotten "infected" with the darkness that is a sign you'll become possessed in a few weeks. However, in a voice line, it mentions that she's scared her infection might spread faster since she already has an illness. The infection seems to start in the legs, possibly as a shadow grabbing you to infect you, since there seemed to be these black and purple vines wrapping around her legs. Because of this, she walks slowly.
The actual levels were pretty normal, all being a 2D level with 3D animations. However, there would be times where the level would flash or flicker into a 2D, classic sprite look for a moment. I kinda guessed this was to show timelines merging. Most of it seemed to be based on the Space Colony Ark, because Maria can't leave it and Sonic didn't want to leave her alone and scared on the Ark. There was also a lot of secrets in the background, like being able to see characters from other stories in the background.
In the main hub, if you talked to Maria, she'll sometimes talk about her timeline. In her timeline, Shadow was the one who died, and she's been living alone on the Ark the entire time until Mephiles, disguised as Silver, showed up and infected her. Then, shortly afterwards, the timeline merged with the one your Sonic comes from. Your Sonic came along and has promised to cure her from the Darkness, which is what the infection and hive mind has been named. Sometimes she asks if Shadow is still alive in your timeline, and if she's alive, or if this or that happened. Your Sonic isn't from the main timeline, so you get to answer these questions however you want using dialogue boxes and create the story of your timeline.

Sonic Headcanon Sunday #8: Silver
Just a heads up, I’m starting to lose motivation on this, so this one may or may not be the last one I do before taking a break on this for a bit. Anyways, here’s my top 10 favorite headcanons I have for my favorite time-traveler!
1. Winter is his favorite season. However, the ironic thing about that is that he’s very sensitive to cold weather, due to being used to a hotter climate in his devastated future.
2. Thanks to Espio, he’s grown somewhat fond of poetry.
3. Silver doesn’t wear actual clothing too often outside of formal events (like a lot of the other male Sonic characters tend to do), but his favorite clothing piece is cardigans.
4. He, as well as Knuckles and Shadow, had fallen victim to “updog” and “joe mama” jokes.
5. His telekinetic abilities tend to go a bit haywire when startled or in extreme emotional distress.
6. Silver absolutely loves chao and always enjoys visiting and taking care of them in chao gardens, but he’s yet to officially have a chao of his own.
7. He’s a pretty decent singer, but is extremely insecure about others hearing it, out of fear of being made fun of. His singing is for Blaze’s ears only.
8. He can speak a bit of Italian.
9. The design on his gloves are actually also part of his bare hands.
10. Due to inhaling so much smoke in his bad future, Silver is an asthmatic.

Till Death do we Part, my Ass! - Chapter 9 - "resonance doesnt occur with disgarRsting shets"
Tumblr media
Summary:
Caleb pulls big brother ghost shenanigans to fend off any men within a 5 km radius of his little pipsqueak
A love and deepspace fanfic for Caleb

Caleb felt as though he was submerged into an endless pool of pitch black darkness. Unable to see, unable to feel, only vague echos of words and speech floated around his dull senses.
It felt like he was slowly spinning around, everything jumbling together as he heard bits and pieces of the past, present, and future swirling about in his mind- flickering in and out of existence as though he was supposed to move on and go somewhere, but was unable to. In the cold darkness that enveloped him and the mish-mash of obscured sensations, the only thing that he could clearly feel was the tug of something at his neck. While the currents of this surreal space tried to sweep him away to the beyond: a thin metal chain that held him resolutely to its anchor, not letting him go.
The sounds of the world were faint to him, but he was still vaguely aware of it. Caleb could only blip in and out of consciousness as bits and pieces faded and washed over the dull awareness of his mind and soul.
He heard the choked gasps of a strangled breath and a deep voice in the distance: “You went through all that trouble to enter the N109 zone. I must fulfill my duty as your host.”
A muffled gunshot fired in the background.
“Since you can’t escape, why don’t we make a deal?”
Caleb stirred in the darkness, a flash of anger cutting through the haze. He couldn’t place the words, their meaning fragmented, but something deep inside rebelled against them. Don’t , he tried to shout, the thought rippling through the void. He fumbled around blindly, feeling the metal around his neck tug as he moved. It was the only thing holding him steady in this endless void. Its pull on him was stronger now, beckoning for him. He followed.
She needed him.
And he’ll always go to her.
The world around him began to sharpen. He heard the distant roar of a motorcycle engine and the frantic pounding of a heart—hers. The thin pull of the chain transformed into a brilliant tether, golden light blazing through the void and pulling him like gravity to its source. The gentle clink of metal resounded clearly in his ears as light pierced through the blackness.
Gasping, as if he had breached from a dunk underneath a dense pool of water, Caleb returned.
The sights and sounds of the moment were dizzying—bright lights, a sharp chill in the air, and the monstrous roar of a Wanderer rearing back to attack. Caleb barely had time to register the creature’s hulking form before his instincts took over in the presence of danger. He sent out a burst of telekinetic energy. The Evol surged from him, causing the massive creature to stumble and crash to the ground.
The scene before him spun dizzily as he steadied himself. His gaze locked on a familiar figure standing amidst the chaos: a tall man with silver hair and crimson eyes glaring at him.
“Your little guard dog is back. How… loyal.”
Caleb’s fists clenched, anger surging through him.
A deafening roar ripped through the air. The monstrosity that he had sent flying moments ago, rearing back up and poised to attack.
Caleb gritted his teeth. He was still disoriented, confused at where he was and what was going on. But he knew the priorities here; his eyes focused on the monster rearing up to attack.
He was ready to fight, ready to go at it—until he felt that pull again. A tug at the back of his mind, a power and echo of a resonance he hadn’t felt in so long. Golden light swirled around him, amplifying his Evol as it sent the monster hurtling into a wall.
The sensation was achingly familiar.
It was her.
Caleb recognized the power innately.
It was the same feeling that he got when they used to play together as kids: warm, persistent, and comforting. The glow and sensations were that of her essence and what she was to him. It was the same feeling that he got when she used to mess around with him when they were kids. Misusing his abilities to obliterate the neighborhood kids at dodgeball, cheat at the claw machine together, or get things from a shelf that was a bit too high for her to reach.
Perhaps it was the years of growing up together or the sheer amount of trust she had in him that allowed for her to just use his ability with ease, even when he was just a specter floating around at her side. It was like her power just unconsciously reached out to find him, pulling on him despite him not physically being there: a testament to the bond between them.
She was looking down at her hand in astonishment, face wrought with confusion and disbelief at the familiarity of the evol that she had resonated with just now. Even she was unaware of what had just transpired.
Caleb’s eyes took in the sight of her face, his heart aching in relief to see her again, and seeing that she was safe. He rushed back towards her, mind abandoning the situation at hand. He reached out instinctively, expecting to phase through her as always—but this time, his hand stopped, meeting a subtle resistance. The shock of the contact made him pull back immediately. His hand felt somewhat warm now, able to feel some vague sensations that he wasn’t able to perceive before.
Caleb looked down at his hand in astonishment before a glint of silver around her neck caused his eyes to widen in recognition. There was a faint tug at him again: warm, persistent, and familiar. It was the very one that held him anchored as the void tried to drag him away.
What had pulled him from the abyss was now unmistakable.
Around her neck was the necklace. His necklace. The little movements she made as she shifted her balance from foot to foot caused the little apple pendant to jingle against the dog tag; he recognized it as the sound that pulled him from that empty dream and back to her.
“...Caleb-?”
The sound was a soft whisper from her lips, fraught with disbelief and twinged with hurt. Her trembling eyes searched the surroundings with bristling desperation- in search of a specter that she was unable to see.
Caleb felt his heart skip a beat at the sudden call of his name. An onrush of emotions slammed into him: hope, joy, fear, and anxiety. All at once. All overwhelming. He could feel his eyes stinging, watching her blink and grasp ahold of his necklace to ponder where she was able to suddenly draw his evol from.
He felt a rueful smile creep up on his lips, feet sliding as he took tentative steps towards her. “I’m here, Pipsqueak,” he whispered, knowing she couldn’t hear him, yet unable to stay silent. “Always.”
His reunion with her was cut short, Sylus came storming towards the both of them, clear annoyance etched into his face. “So this is why you haven’t been able to resonate with me.” He pushed past Caleb, eyebrows furrowing in annoyance before the man took her wrist and pinned it against the wall. “You’d rather resonate with that little puppy who follows you around instead of me.”
Caleb saw red, unbridled anger raging through him, as he flung Sylus off of her, his evol surging to full force as the silver-haired man was thrown across the room. Before impact, the man disappeared into a cloud of crimson and black smoke, reappearing with a grimace on his face.
The man’s crimson eyes landed on Caleb’s spectral form before he let out a low chuckle.
Caleb stood his ground, standing straight as he positioned himself firmly between her and Sylus- determined to not let the man get the better of him this time. Caleb could feel the surge of his evol culminating to its full capability- rising to its full potential despite his spectral form.
The silver haired man approached slowly, tendrils of crimson and obsidian smoke curling around his hand. A low chuckle rumbled from his throat.
“So if he’s the reason we can’t resonate, then I’ll just make sure I get rid of him for good this time-”
Caleb felt something pull at the back of his mind, a linkage that tapped at his power with intense urgency. He felt something grasp tightly around his entire body, turning his head briefly to see her clutching his necklace in alarm.
Caleb’s eyes widened slightly, realizing that she was pulling on his evol to retaliate against Sylus. It was like the silver haired man knew what was transpiring; a brief look of something unknown flashing through his eyes before his annoyance grew to anger.
“You should let the dead pass on, and let them go-“ he muttered lowly, the crimson spirals of his evol passing through Caleb’s spectral form and focusing on the item she held clasped in her hand instead.
But before a full blown fight could break out, the shopkeeper that was standing off to the side intervened.
“A-Ahem, Mr. Sylus! I think there is… another reason why she can’t resonate.”
A tense moment of silence passed between the four of them before Sylus stood up straight and turned towards the shopkeeper.
Caleb held his stance, tense as he wasn’t sure if Sylus’s volatile mood would cause him to fight again.
The shopkeeper drew a sharp breath, electing to continue.
“You see… Her Evol is special. It utilizes the waves generated by the human brain’s magnetic field.”
Caleb stared at her and Sylus uneasily, holding an arm out to shield her in case he tried anything again. Caleb wouldn’t let him. The man was clearly annoyed at the inability to resonate with her for some odd reason, and the fact that his pipsqueak was resonating with Caleb’s evol over his right in front of him must have added salt to an existing wound.
The shopkeeper continued. “Maybe her brain’s magnetic field produces repulsive waves against you. That’s why she can’t resonate with you.”
“Get to the point,” Sylus interjected, looking upset and torn between annoyance and another feeling that Caleb felt was familiar, but couldn’t quite pinpoint on the man’s expression.
“To make a long story short… On a subconscious level, she’s either rejecting you, scared of you or…” The shopkeeper rubbed his head, unsure if he should say the next piece. He looked up at Sylus with hesitation before finishing. “Disgusted by you.”
Caleb let out a bark of laughter before trying, and failing, to compose himself; Sylus was still volatile and upset, but Caleb couldn’t help it. He tried to bite the inside of his cheek to calm himself down, reminding himself that he had his pipsqueak to protect.
There was a sense of pride that washed over him as Caleb stared at the man, who was visibly upset., with a smug grin. Caleb rolled his shoulders back, puffing out his chest a bit before standing straighter between them. He stuck out his middle finger, a shit-eating smirk plastered on his face.
“Ha ha ha~! She haaaates you!” Caleb’s body shook with barely contained laughter. It was childish, sure. But Caleb didn’t care. Sylus pissed him off, and he hated the man. “Disgusting! Digusting sheeeit~!”
“It’s probably because of this damn guard dog that keeps following her around-!” Sylus muttered lowly, eye twitching as if he had heard Caleb’s mockery. His crimson eye glowed, Caleb could feel the man’s gaze on him, stiffening up slightly under the invisible pressure. Sylus’s evol activated, crimson mist starting to pervade the space around them.
Before Caleb could react, a surge of golden warmth enveloped him, his own evol flaring to life. The gravitational force surged outward, pushing Sylus back with a grimace. Caleb blinked in confusion as he suddenly felt the world shift around him—time and space warping.
When his vision cleared, he stood rooted in place, feeling sluggish and heavy. The golden warmth faded, leaving him feeling groggy as if he had woken up from a long nap. Sylus was no longer gazing through him; he was staring straight at him.
That glowing vermillion eye stared straight into his own violet ones. Caleb felt a sense of unease, rubbing his wrists and rolling his ankles around in mild discomfort- feeling something pulling at him like invisible shackles.
The shopkeeper intervened, ushering her out of the front of the shop and up the stairs to somewhere on the second floor.
Caleb felt that pull on him again as she left, as if to urging him to follow. He started to trail after her, only to be stopped by an opposing pull- crimson spirals now precisely curled and gripping on his shoulder.
“...Stay back. I have things to discuss with you.”
Caleb froze in his steps, turning back to see that Sylus was staring straight at him- words spoken too low for her or the shopkeeper to hear. They were meant for him alone.
“What does this fucker want-? A fight?” Caleb muttered to himself, evol surging as he turned to face Sylus- eyes narrowed.
The man scoffed, carmine mist dissipating. Sylus held up his hands, placating the hostility between the two of them.
“Such foul language. All bark and no bite,” he mocked.
Caleb felt his blood run cold. Was Sylus able to hear him? Caleb looked at his hands briefly, tilting his head inquisitively, before taking a cautious step towards the man.
“You can hear me?” Caleb asked, voice low, the tension in the air thick enough to cut.
Sylus smirked, tilting his head. “I can now,” he said, his tone infuriatingly calm. “And I actually see you as well.”
Caleb clenched his fists. So what if Sylus could see him? It might even be better this way.
“Great. Now you can hear me tell you to leave her the fuck alone.”
Sylus chuckled. “You’re saying that as if you weren’t the reason she came here in the first place.” He leaned forward, his voice dropping to a mocking whisper. “She’s free to leave whenever she wants. But she’s here. With me.”
A flash of anger and something sharper—regret?—stabbed through Caleb. A sharp pain lanced through his head, memories flickering just out of reach. He shoved them down, focusing on Sylus. “Shut it,” he snapped. “Why are you so desperate to resonate with her? Didn’t you hear your lackey say she practically hates you?”
Sylus’s jaw tightened, crimson mist flaring up around him. “I don’t need a ghost to lecture me,” he spat, the weight of his evol pressing down on Caleb.
Caleb steadied himself, stepping forward as his own evol surged, rattling the objects around them. “At least this ghost can resonate with her,” he taunted, a smirk tugging at his lips.
Sylus’s glare deepened, and Caleb returned the smirk right back to the man- finally getting under his skin now that Sylus was able to hear and see him. The tension between them crackled like a live wire. Then, unexpectedly, the man leaned back, a knowing grin spreading across his face. “You won’t resonate with her for long,” he said, his voice soft but cutting. “Once she realizes you’re here- haunting her- and finds out the truth, what you’ve done...” He leaned closer, his crimson gaze piercing. “She’ll be more disgusted with you than me.”
Caleb froze, his breath caught in his chest like how you would tense up when something hidden was suddenly exposed. Searing hot anger immediately replaced by a cold, creeping doubt built up inside of him. A vague and ominous discomfort prickled inside of him, like the one you would get when you become aware of the dream that you have been sleeping in. “...You don’t know what you’re talking about,” he growled, though the crack in his voice betrayed him. “Don’t act like you know here so well. She’d never—”
“Sure, sure. We’ll see about that.” Sylus turned away, the mist dissipating as he started to leave out the front of the shop. His parting words lingered like a poison in the air- a mocking wave of his hand rubbed salt further into his festering wound. Caleb felt something tilt out of balance. The man’s voice was becoming distorted, reverberating unnaturally and overlapping on itself like an out-of-sync record. “When you wake up… and go back to her. Would she still accept and trust you?”
The world began to tilt and spin, the floor cracking beneath his feet. The words hung in the air, their weight pressing down on Caleb like the gravitational force of his own Evol. A defensive panic bloomed in Caleb’s chest- anxiety rising. “What are you talking about?!” Caleb stumbled, his voice rising in desperation. “How would you know?! You don’t know anything! No one knows!! They can’t! They don’t!!” The cracks widened, and the shop around him shattered into a million pieces, plunging him into the void.
Caleb’s vision went black, his mind slipping into unconsciousness as he fell into a dreamscape that he could not yet pull away from. His heart was racing- hammering violently in his chest- while the intense feeling of freefall pervaded his senses. It was like he was cast out from the world, endlessly falling through an infinite sky: a nightmare from which he could not wake from.
No.
No no no!
Wake up!
Wake up!
He needs to wake up.
He has to go home.
He wants to go home.
She calls him.
Home calls him.
But he couldn’t.
He’s falling.
Endlessly falling.
Where is he?
He doesn’t know.
He does know.
The rush of wind enveloped his hearing, distorted voices and fragments of past, present, and future rushing by at the speed of a million light years. “…67… 67 days until-” a broken robotic voice laced with static echoing in his mind. “-67 days until the project is completed-” It felt like his brain was being electrocuted and stabbed repeatedly by a searing hot knife. Pain coursed through him as he cried out in agony.
His eyes were clamped shut. Caleb shook his head violently, covering his ears with his hands to muffle out the voices.
He’s dreaming.
A dream.
He can’t go home.
Not yet.
It wasn’t time.
Caleb struggled against the pain and the helplessness of falling to a death and reprieve that would never come.
A nightmare. A dream.
His heart raced erratically. Gravity pulled him in directions that defied logic- surreal.
Get back.
Control it.
Take it back.
If this was a dream he fell into, he simply needed to take control.
“A dream- A dream-” he muttered to himself, closing his eyes and trying to choke down the sensation of endlessly falling.
He felt a pull in the back of his mind, a warm golden light washing over him- placating his anxiety; the sensations of falling were fading away before it all calmed and disappeared.
The warm pull disappeared. Caleb drew a sharp breath, hesitantly opening his eyes before finding himself back at the storefront. Footsteps sounded out from behind him as he saw her standing there, looking in his direction- gaze lingering as if she was staring at him. For a moment, he felt his heart drop. Feelings of insecurity and guilt washed over him before she blinked owlishly in his general vicinity before walking out of the front door.
Caleb exhaled a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding, shaking his head. Of course, she didn’t see me. She can’t see him. He was a ghost.
Yea.
That’s right.
He was a ghost.
He followed her through the door, “You sure you should be wandering around here like this, pipsqueak?” He hovered close behind, already falling into his usual habit of fussing over her and trying to immerse himself back into their dynamic as if nothing had changed with now unstable his spectral form was being.
Sylus was nowhere to be seen. Did the man leave?
Caleb huffed, scoffing. Good. There was no need for the man to be here. Caleb was all she needed, and he’d keep her safe- always.
He watched her interact with a small child, inquiring for a place to find information before the little girl led them away. They arrived at an establishment with tables of playing cards and a bar tucked away in the corner. Caleb furrowed his brows at the clearly dangerous place. This was the N109 zone after all. This place probably wasn’t as safe or simple as it looked. He hovered right behind his pipsqueak as she started to listen in and ask around for intel, keeping a close watch on their surroundings to ensure that nothing was amiss.
Caleb could sense the danger before it happened. Her goal of gathering information was interrupted by a series of loud gunshots; an entourage of men carrying guns broke down the entrance- the clicking of guns being loaded and the intentions of the group clear. A single man emerged from the broken down door: clearly their ringleader.
“Onychinus’s important guest got lost,” the man sneered. “I’d like to ask everyone to cooperate with our search.”
Gunfire and the sounds of clatter from furniture being knocked over sounded out. Caleb remained close at her side, ready to defend at a moment’s notice. He cracked his knuckles, evol surging in preparation to protect her.
The armed men closed in. Caleb’s trained fighting instincts kicked into play, evol activating a shield of gravitational pull to grab and deflect bullets that were fired towards her. He pulled at them, a calculated move meant to take advantage of their center of gravity to make them stumble. But before he was able to send them flying away, a familiar cloud of energy particles coiled around the men- strangling them. They slumped to the ground, dead.
“You’re pretty useful as a guard dog, aren’t you?” a familiar voice mocked.
Caleb gritted his teeth, turning around to glare at the man who materialized suddenly from behind the both of them: Sylus.
Before Caleb could retort, she beat him to it, cursing him out with questions on where he went and why these men - seemingly working for Sylus’s organization- were trying to hunt her down.
Caleb sighed, a surge of pride in his chest. He shot a grin at Sylus, eyebrows quirked in provocation.
Sylus’s gaze flickered between the both of them momentarily, mouth twitching as if he wanted to quip back, but deciding to remain silent - pursing his lips.
“Focus on yourself first.”
Caleb gritted his teeth as he heard the roars of wanderers, the monsters materializing before charging right at them. He straightened himself, hands opening and closing to stretch before activating his evol: ready to fight.
The battle was fierce.
As the fight panned out, Caleb watched Sylus with mild interest in seeing him fight in hand to hand combat; the man was skilled, Caleb would give him that. Comparatively, Caleb was reliant on his evol, unable to fight or physically interact with anything in his spectral form. Since that was the case, Caleb opted to remain close to her, taking on a supporting role to hold groups of Wanderers together and deflecting projectiles coming their way.
“Nice job, pipsqueak! You’re doing great. Keep it up,” he commented, smiling to himself as he fought alongside her. It was the first time that they were fighting side by side. He was always curious about what she was up to after the Hunter’s Academy and her new job. He had gone to Skyhaven for the Aerospace Academy and started work at the DAA right as she got to her academic and career track, so he never really knew the extent of her combat abilities firsthand. Caleb couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride and joy at seeing her fight despite the precarious situation before them. He barely noticed when her movements slowed, her wide eyes locking onto the spot where his voice had sounded moments earlier. She whispered his name in question after he spoke, but Caleb didn’t hear over the barrage of gunfire and screams-- too preoccupied with the fight.
But as great as the three of them were in combat, the Wanderers kept coming in relentless troves, one after another.
Caleb watched as she fell back against the window of the building, thoughts clearly racing in her mind. There was no way for this to keep up. He looked at her in concern, the strain on her was evident.
“We can’t wipe them out… Our only option is to retreat,” she muttered, eyes glancing up at Sylus.
The man impassively shook his head. “Do you really believe ‘retreat’ is a word in my dictionary?” Sylus scoffed.
Caleb’s temper flared up, standing up and pushing the man sharply with his evol. “Hey, we’re fighting our asses off here. She’s not going to die here because you’re being a stubborn jackass!”
Her eyes flickered towards Caleb, blinking at the space where he was standing. Caleb failed to notice it, glaring at Sylus with hostility aimed at him. The silver haired man ignored him, pushing past Caleb and bending down towards her instead.
“Then consider this training practice.” Sylus reached out for her gun, aiming it at the switch box on the wall. A gunshot rang out, the bullet piercing the box and plunging the room into darkness. “Stand your ground for five minutes. It shouldn’t be too difficult since your guard dog is there with you.”
“Hey!”
Caleb let out a colorful string of curses. The room only appeared slightly dimmed to him, but he knew that it must have been pitch black for the living- a perk of being a ghost he supposed. His eyes were focused on the swarm of monsters in the building, slowly making their way around blindly in the dark.
Her breath hitched, her head tilting slightly toward where Caleb stood. She scanned the space as if searching for something, but her focus shifted back to the approaching threat.
He saw how tense she was, gripping her gun tightly and holding her breath in palpable anxiety as she looked up in surprise towards his direction. Caleb hurriedly knelt down by her side, drawing a deep breath and placing his hand over hers. “It’s ok, pip...I’m here. It’s ok,” he whispered, eyes focusing on the Wanderers beginning to trail in towards the two of them. He placed a hand on one shoulder and guided her hand in the darkness to the Wanderers in the dark. The monsters were just a bit too far out of the reach of his evol, and he had no projectiles to launch at them. With how anxious she was, he didn’t want to leave her side. He’d do what he can: helping her aim and guide the bullets to strike in the darkness. “I’ll be your eyes. We got this.”
He could almost feel her heart racing in her chest. His head was pressed in against hers to see her viewpoint to aim. Pulling her finger back to fire, a gunshot rang out and deftly hit the Wanderer straight in the head- killing it on impact.
Her grip on the gun was loose; her eyes weren’t focused on the monsters but staring off towards her side blankly where Caleb was. Did she freeze up? Caleb narrowed his eyes at the hoard of monsters still approaching. It’s fine. He’ll protect her.
Caleb guided her hand to fire again, adding enough force with his evol to break through the Wanderer’s shield. He started to deftly apply his evol on her firearm, adding additional power to each bullet and helping diffuse the recoil after she pulled the trigger back. The gun was glowing softly with the glow of his own evol, but it was subtle- only wrapped around the bullet and hilt of the weapon. Her eyes were staring straight at the gun in her hand, eyes flickering with recognition and unable to tear away from the presence of an evol so familiar to her.
After a couple rounds, Wanderers falling to the ground after Caleb aimed for each one, her hands stabilized around the weapon- aiming and firing more confidently with shot. Her hands began to glow with a soft golden light. The Resonance evol applied to the gun intertwined slowly with his. Caleb’s eyes widened as he could sense the way it called to him, as if recognizing his presence and urging him to go to her.
Her other hand came up to hover right above his, pressing down and meeting with resistance as her hand no longer was phasing through his.
Caleb turned to look at her in alarm, eyes looking and locking with hers as she stared straight at him. She blinked, pressing her head forward against him and feeling the resistance in the empty space beside her.
“Is it you?...Caleb?”
It wasnt a call of uncertainty. She could sense for sure that he was there.
His heart stopped, blood running cold.
Caleb fell backwards, stumbling in alarm. The chain of resonance between them broke abruptly from him pulling away, and he unconsciously called out her name in alarm.
Her eyes widened as she stared right at him.
“It is you-! Caleb-”
Caleb clamped his mouth shut immediately. She can hear him?
Despite the danger, her gaze lingered on him. The glow of the gun in her hands mirrored the golden light in her eyes, a reflection of their bond. Caleb stood protectively in front of her, his mind racing. She knows. She knows I’m here.
A crash and a roar shook them of the stupor; a Wanderer came charging towards them. It wasn’t the time to ponder on this. Protecting her and ensuring her safety was the priority now.
Reflexively, Caleb used his evol to maneuver her hand, pulling the trigger and killing it immediately.
Several more were still pouring in, reminding them of their dangerous situation. He gritted his teeth before stealing a peek at her. Her eyes were focused on the ceiling. She drew a sharp breath, shooting at the wine barrels decorating it as a cascade of alcohol poured down. The bullets ignited the volatile liquid, catching the monsters on fire as they burned.
Caleb pushed them into the flames, standing defensively in front of her and shielding her from the hot air and fire.
After what seemed like eternity, the Wanderers suddenly dropped to the floor like broken marionettes with their strings cut loose- curling up into a fetal position and succumbing to the flames.
We did it.
Caleb let out a breath of relief right as the light turned back on. His heart was racing as he stole a glance behind him, watching her expression as she stared in his direction. He moved to one side, seeing her head turn and follow.
She can sense him. He could tell that her gaze was struggling to find his exact form, but she can still discern his presence now.
Her breath hitched, tears brimming in her eyes as she whispered his name again. “Caleb…” Her voice cracked, the disbelief and hope colliding in her chest like a tidal wave.
It felt like his heart had leapt up and lodged itself in his throat. He couldn't move or breathe as she took careful steps towards him, hand opening and reaching out in the air.
She can sense him.
He averted his gaze and took a step back, a rush of feelings overwhelming his senses: mortification, guilt, remorse.
She knows he’s there.
Her name was a faint whisper from his lips, interlaced with guilt and regret.
The crunch of debris interrupted the two. From the entrance of the front, Sylus emerged calmly as if nothing had happened.
He looked amused as he stared at the both of them, a smirk visible on his face. “Ah. Looks like you’re able to see your little guard dog now, hmm? No wonder he’s stopped barking all of a sudden.”
Her eyes widened as she looked at Sylus. Her gaze then flickered between the both of them, and Caleb could see the gears turning in her head as she was piecing things together.
“Let’s go,” Sylus said, his tone light but his eyes sharp. “You’ll have all the time in the world to figure things out-- assuming he tells you the truth.”

"I had to snag them when I saw them! They're STILL so hard to find where I'm at!" Acorn Kingdom wasn't exactly known for having a variety of exotic fruit.... "But it was SO worth it!"
She gave her brother a gentle one armed hug, Clove may be gone...but they could still have a good holiday while remembering her. "It's good to see you, Silver."
She loved her older brother dearly... didnt get to see him as often as she'd like but she treasured the times when she did.
(from crossed-worlds) (Cassia to Silver) "Hey! Brother! Look what I found!" She holds up two mango sized golden fruits. "Marula fruits! Just like the ones Clove used to somehow find for us when we were kids! I managed to get some! Thought it would bring some cheer to the holiday!"
"Cassia!" Silver hasn't seen his sister in what seems like forever! He's so excited to see see her, so much so that he's floating!
Upon seeing the fruit, a fuzzy memory of them shows and he accepts them. They are familiar... The smell of them as its closer sharpens the memory and he smiles brightly.
"Yeah! I remember, they were so rare and she still managed!" He misses her... But now is a time to be happy! "Thank you Cassia!"

That time Shadow adopted a child he found in a vent - A_Wild_Glitch__InTheServer - Sonic the Hedgehog - All Media Types [Archive of Our Own]
Calibrating the bands, Shadow Studied the maps closer trying to think of the best course of action. “Just one useful lab” he muttered to himself
“Lab?”
Shadow stilled, caught off guard by the voice that came from the vent. It slipped his mind for a second in his moment of weakness, but that wasn't why he was shocked, no. The reason he was so shocked was because the voice didn't belong to some old security robot, or some evil ghost or even one of some old pest that was somehow  still alive, no.
The reason he was stunned into silence was because that voice could only belong to a child.
A very small child
One small enough to fit into a cramp and tiny vent.
‘Shit’
Or: 200 years in the future, Shadow finds a small telekinetic child hiding in a vent of an old G.U.N base he was raiding. He is not ok
(A 5k fic I wrote about Shadow finding and adopting Silver in the future)

Poll 14, Round 1.
Tumblr media
About Aster: (by @sushirolledghost) Aster is a lost Echidna puggle (scientific term), who lived in the forest for a good long portion of their life. They have a short attention span, easily being distracted fr anything they’re doing. They can run pretty fast, roll, and do Knuckles’ flying maneuver.Tails found them and Aster just stood with them, Knuckles realized they were an Echidna and started teaching them about the culture. Aster was confused but happy to be included.

Sonic JJK AU … Silver as Nanami 🧠 let me cook
Nanami’s retirement plan and tranquil death-sequence on the beach in comparison to silver’s idea of a fixed future. Both fighting for an end goal of a peaceful existence, for not only theirselves but the people in their lives as well.
Nanami quitting his 9-5 only to return to being a sorcerer. Silver going back in time to correct his future. The way Silver stands up for those who can't stand for themselves, similar to how Nanami’s priority had always been preservation of life.
Plus Nanami’s ability being based around the concept of clocking in and out of work would be a silly nod to Silver’s time-jumping chaos control lol.
To add on, Nanami mentions to Yuji that he found Jujutsu Sorcerers to be idiots. He struggles with a conflict of both not only dealing with but accepting the inevitable losses that come with being a sorcerer. He explains, “You have to force your comrades to accept the notion that they must willingly sacrifice their lives.”
I find this fits well with Silver’s role in Sonic 06, in which he “found his resolve and hostility towards Sonic wavering after seeing the way that Amy revered him as a hero” after travelling to the past to kill Sonic.
In both these character conflicts, what is most notable is the pairs sense of justice. They‘re both passionate characters who struggle with an initial mindset, due to their true nature of kindness and generosity.
Of course there's differences and not everythings gonna line up perfectly, but I think Silver would be so fun to see as Nanami in an AU.
* honestly my first instinct was to view him in the shoes of Gojo: white(silver) hair, blue eyes, with (fancy reversed?) telekinetic abilities.
but gojos personality is so important to his character and i struggled to imagine silver acting similarly.
now sonic on the other hand.. hehe
