SILVAZE FAMILY IS HERE!!!!! I've been thinking a lot about the concepts I wanted to explore with them and their lore and I'm finally satisfied with the result! Even though I'm not a big fan of Silvaze, I think the dynamics between them are interesting to work with. And for my AU, they're quite relevant!

Here are some fun facts about them in my Sonic Next Gen AU:

Blaze and Silver, the Empire of the Guardians.

- Silver and Blaze were together at the end of the Great Incident at the End of the World, a bigger problem that arose and began with Villains already known to them and Sonic's gang. - After Blaze became Queen of the Sun Empire, Blaze lost contact with Sonic and his friends. She could no longer return to their dimension, as she now understood the consequences her Trips there had within the Dimensions. - Her routine became more hectic than ever, although she always remained a responsible and organized Cat in her duties as Royalty. - Silver understood that Blaze was an important part of his life after all the past events, and so he made the Sacrifice of staying by her side in her Dimension. Leaving his future origin and his old team in it, who were now also in good hands and safe, in an emotional farewell. - Even though Silver decided to stay with Blaze, he remained responsible for being the Guardian of Time. Having possession of the Time Stones and ensuring that no one interferes in any event, be it past, present or future. - After time passed, as they were now married, ruling their own Empire and being guardians of powerful jewels with Blaze, Silver always wanted to start a family. But it was a distant thought, since pregnancy between different Species was risky for both the mother and the child. Blaze also didn't like the idea of ​​being a mother very much, even though she knew that at some point, she would need someone to inherit her legacy as Queen coming from the same blood. - After some hesitation, Blaze makes the decision. She would also like to start a family with Silver, and is now more open to the idea. She mentions that he made many sacrifices for her and she was willing to do the same for him.

Chance and Cyrus, the Twins coming from the Sun.

- Chance and Cyrus are twins, born during sunset. Their names refer to Good Luck and Enlightenment. - Chance is worthy of inheriting and ruling the Sun Empire in the future, as she is the first to be born. - Although they were very close when they were younger, Cyrus feels that Chance should not inherit the Throne. Since she feels unprepared and often overestimated, this leads to the birth of a greater Envy. - Chance and Cyrus were conceived with their mother's Pyrokinetic powers. But not only these, they also inherited The Eternal Flames. Their mastery of these is equivalent to the total mastery of fire that will never go out, being lethal if it reaches its Peak. Their powers were dormant within them when they were still young, and neither of them knew about it… Until they became young Adults. - Cyrus can also teleport and create weapons through telekinetic powers. Chance has always been very reluctant about his powers over fire, having much more connection to the Flames than his brother. - Chance, despite being destined for the Throne, never felt confident about it. She talks countless times about her insecurity with her father, with the fear of disappointing everyone. Silver has always been one of her great voices to guide and calm her. While her mother, has always been the inspiration to keep doing the right thing and be determined during her journey. - Cyrus has always shown interest in the throne, but while he has not yet achieved it, he has trained to continue as the protector of Time, like his father. Although he was never able to actually go with him during his time away, he learned a lot from Silver about how time can be treacherous and affect countless events… Something he always reminds himself of.

Nova Del Sol, the Youngest Prince.

- Nova is the youngest child and also the most withdrawn of the other two siblings. Born during the night, this last pregnancy was the calmest Blaze has had, which was a positive surprise, knowing the great risks involved in having children of different species. - Unlike his two siblings, Nova never had any great connections with fire, he always had an irrational fear of large Flames. - He was always very interested in the stars and the waters. - Nova has the ability to create a Gravitational Field, despite being a child, he gained great mastery over his powers. As a baby, his abilities acted erratically and almost always as his feelings took over. - Blaze always comforts him by reading books and telling stories during his nightmares, something that happens quite often. - Silver always enjoyed playing with him, creating stories and helping him with his lessons. Although he is always surprised by his own son's reasoning ability. - There are times when Nova says, "I've seen this before," but in reality, he has brief visions of the future. He still hasn't figured out the purpose of this, perhaps it's to predict something worse coming in the future…

Extra Fun Fact: All 3 children end with "Del Sol" since they are children of mixed species. A concept I put into my Next Gen AU: Although they are not necessarily a mix of species, their names do not end with the animal they are. Which indicates that they are considered hybrid children! (The theory of Amy Rose being part Echidna is interesting to me too lol) Finally, I believe that's it! I've been planning to write and draw some scenes about them. Even though I've already shown a bit of Chance's old concept here, I feel like I ended up giving her a new vision, and besides… I ended up adapting what was already going to happen before >:) See here also my SonAmy kid: Skyler The Hedgehog! If you love Biscuits and Gravy like I do you'll love this dinner recipe.

1 pound pork sausage

4 servings gnocchi

2 cups chicken broth

1 cup pureed pumpkin or butternut squash

½ cup heavy cream.

Brown the pork sausage. Add the broth, gnocchi and pumpkin. Let simmer about 10 minutes. Add the cream. Salt and pepper to taste.

It's basically dumplings and gravy, the pumpkin or butternut squash lives in harmony with the rest of the flavors and add the creamy gravy texture. It's one of my favorite meals and I have it at least every other week.

What is fun about the last time Shanks saw Mihawk he was probably 29 on the cusp of 30 and then they fall out and they don’t really reconnect until Mihawk is middle age and Shanks on his way there.

That’s alot of time to miss someone you used to know intimately. A whole life has been lived there. And think how much Mihawk must have changed how much shanks himself has changed. All this to say that I really think Shanks loves watching this version of Mihawk being domestic and having his little old lady hobbies.

He loves watching him cook and bake and talk about recipes and how to make sure the little gremlins under his care are getting the proper nutrients. He loves watching him tend to his garden with his ridiculously domestic sun hat, he loves watching him pick strawberries and put them into a little quicker basket and plant and harvest cocoa trees for Perona, and teach Zoro how to chop vegetables really fast and embroider his little flower patterns and read erotica and newspapers Like the same thing and take naps in the sun spot like a cat and interact with the kids and just he likes seeing Mihawk live his life because I will never come down from the hill that Shanks really kind of subconsciously worries about him and his loneliness and kind of the empty way he was living his life.

Cause like I think for shanks it’s such a jarring juxtaposition with the Mihawk that’s still freshest in his memories 10 years ago. 20 something young dangerous and wanted. Mihawk back then was probably the definition of vagabond literally bound to nothing and no one except occasionally shanks. Sailing around in a tiny ass boat with only wine and his sword a one man calamity.The Mihawk he remembers was always itching for a fight and would gladly start one. And because I headcannon Mihawk probably didn’t get his title till after his big blowout with shanks this is still a Mihawk with a lot to fucking prove and he’ll prove it every chance he gets. This is a Mihawk who still regularly accepts challengers and is also actively challenging people. This is a Mihawk that is hunting marines for sport (or revenge Or both) His life revolves around wine, sword-fighting, violence and blood shed and in the way only a man that doesn’t even realize how lonely he is it revolved around shanks.

I just think 20 something Mihawk had 1 friend and 1 hobby and hewas a lonely fuck who was so intensely single-mindedly putting all his energy into both he ends up kind of losing both (shanks crumples under the weights of his expectations and he literally positions himself so far above the crowd in swordsmanship and the one fight he actually does want to have is ruined for him that for a long period of time he doesn’t even experience the same joy that he used to while fighting it’s just another thing he can no longer fully indulge in) 20 something year old Mihawk was a discontent mess rapidly spiraling into depression and nihilistic boredorm and like Shanks can’t do anything about it because Mihawk won’t do anything about it he won’t even properly acknowledge it’s happening. And suddenly they aren’t friends anymore the love of his life literally walks out of it.

And then 10 years go by and zap suddenly here’s this 41 one year old man mostly unchanged but definetly more mature on the cusp of something truly life changing and then there’s this 43 year old with an island and a home and these 2 kids that he can’t even properly contextualize how they fit into his life and that must be so jarring one moment shanks remember A 29 year old nihilist that is literally breaking his heart and now here’s a “mellowed” out little old grandma hobby having middle aged man doing needle point on a Sunday evening come to take his place. A whole life lived in 12 years and Shanks didn’t get to see a lot of it but he’s so glad to see this now, that he gets to have this now.

you know i do wonder how many sonic characters actually have living parents. like knuckles is the last of his kind so obviously his parents arent around anymore. both guys who could be considered shadows dads are 100 percent confirmed dead. sonic is canonically an orphan im pretty sure. and on the other side of the coin cream is like the only character in the game cast who has a living parent we actually see onscreen. but what about everyone else i dont think theres a straight answer for any other character. other than rouge's mom being mentioned a couple times i Guess but we dont even know anything about her or if shes still alive just that she existed at some point. are these kids constantly putting themselves in danger because they dont have parents around to stop them or because their parents just dont care

Into The Underground Part 1

When Blaze started to climb the mountain, he certainly was wondering if this was the right decision. Unlike the world he was leaving behind, Mt Ebbot was peaceful. He liked it. Still, he knew the second he returned home, it’d just be the same. His father would just continue to beg him to find humans for him to feed on him. He knew the stories of the monsters being sealed away, but it seemed a few monsters went unnoticed. The more humanoid ones, of course, given his father was a vampire. The only sign they weren’t human were the pointed ears and fangs. And well, the drinking of blood. But that was less obvious to most people.

That’s why he was here. He knew that most people who came here would never return, presumably killed by the monsters or the fall from the mountain itself. Blaze was tired of helping his father, tired of knowing that innocent people were dying. It wasn’t like he could just say ‘no’ to his father either, then he’d just be attacked and be fed on. As much as Blaze wanted to die, he wasn’t planning on letting his father use him for his own personal gain. Hence Mt Ebbot, a way to die peacefully and hopefully never be seen by his father again.

Still, as he stood, staring into the hole into the mountain, and the long drop, Blaze had to admit. He was scared. Part of him didn’t entirely want to die, but it wasn’t like he had anything else to live for. His father was a vampire, just using him for his own personal gain; his mother hated him, and had even shot him when all he wanted was comfort, and Phantom… He wasn’t sure what to think of Phantom. The experiments with the monster souls had fused them, in a way, and Phantom was always there. At first, that didn’t go well, with Phantom lashing out at any human who got to close, often taking over just to attack them. But now? The two were at relative peace. Coming to an agreement of sharing his body took a while but still. Phantom was encouraging this, saying he wanted to go home, to see his family again.

“Well, this is the end, then…” Blaze sighed, before closing his eyes and jumping.

“I really doubt we’ll die.” Phantom scoffed, his voice clear in Blaze’s head, “All the rest of those humans survived, and they were just kids.”

Blaze just grunted in response, finally opening his eyes, watching as the ground came nearer and nearer. This seemed to be taking longer than he anticipated, but at the same time, that could’ve just been adrenaline.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Blaze hit the ground. It took a mind a second to catch up, but he quickly realised that he was unharmed, lying on a bed of yellow flowers. Sitting up and rubbing the back of his head, he looked around.

“Guess you were right, Phantom. We really are alive…” Blaze muttered, rolling his eyes as he slowly stood up. “At… Least we’re away from father. They won’t find us here.”

Phantom made what sounded like a grunt of agreement but didn’t say anything. Blaze sighed in response, slowly beginning to walk down a dark hallway. He paused, noticing a grand-looking archway standing before him. Considering how empty this area was, it was certainly a surprise that it was in good condition. Perhaps those flowers were important. Maybe a burial sight of some kind, and whoever lived here visited regularly.

Shaking those thoughts aside, Blaze walked through an archway. At first, he thought the room was empty, but as he began to walk, a frog jumped in front of him, making him yelp in surprise. Everything turned black-and-white, and Blaze felt… lighter than normal. It was weird, like he had become separated from his body, almost like Phantom was in control, but Blaze could already tell he wasn’t.

“What… What is this?” Blaze asked, staring at the frog in front of him in sheer confusion.

“It’s a fight.” Phantom answered simply, like Blaze was supposed to know what that meant. After a second, he sighed in annoyance, “Right. Down in the Underground, monsters can initiate fights. It’ll separate your soul from your body. That’s a Froggit there, they’re mostly harmless”

Nodding vaguely, Blaze stared at the Froggit. “You know, you’re kind of cute.” He remarked, not really thinking of what he was saying.

The frog monster paused, tilting its head to the side, almost seeming like it appreciated that remark. Still, before Blaze could relax, he quickly noticed what seemed like flies moving towards him. Instinctively, he jumped away from the flies, which were almost definitely trying to come towards him. Then without warning, the flies stopped.

“That was an attack. Just dodge it and you’ll be fine.” Phantom scoffed, “You can spare the Froggit now. See that menu beneath you? Just press spare.”

“Huh? Okay…” Blaze muttered, doing as Phantom told. Everything went back to normal and the Froggit hopped away, leaving Blaze alone. Running a hand through his hair, Blaze continued on forwards, coming into a fancy-looking room. Unlike the previous rooms, it was a bright and vibrant purple with a white staircase on each side. Strangely, despite the lack of trees, there was a large pile of red leaves between the two staircases.

“Hm. Looks like this is the Ruins. I never came here much.” Phantom remarked. Blaze didn’t say anything about it, just walking up one of the staircases and into a nearby room.

Unlike the previous rooms, the door was closed, seemingly sealed shut. Blaze frowned at that, glancing over at the buttons on the opposite side of the room. It was clearly some kind of puzzle. Grunting in annoyance, Blaze walked over to the nearby sign, hoping it’d provide some information. But before he could even begin to read it, the sound of the door opening made him flinch.

“Fu-“ Blaze cut himself off when he saw who was at the door. While she was clearly a monster, with white fur and horns that made her look like a goat, she didn’t seem hostile. Instead, her eyes widened at the sight of Blaze, clearly not expecting him.

“Oh my!” she gasped, “Are you alright, young one? You must’ve fallen from the surface… I am Toriel, caretaker of the Ruins. I pass through here every day to see if anyone has fallen down. You are… the first in a long time. I’m sorry I didn’t find you sooner…”

“Don’t worry about it…” Blaze muttered, rubbing the back of his head awkwardly, “I’m Blaze.”

Toriel hummed in response, “It’s nice to meet you, Blaze. Come, I shall guide through your new home.”

“My… new home?” Blaze asked, surprised at the notion. Toriel nodded her head but didn’t say anything just yet. Deciding not to question her any further, Blaze just began to follow Toriel, as she led him through the now open door.

The next room was the largest of the rooms Blaze had seen so far, with it being some kind of hallway. He could see three levels, two of which had writing surrounding them.

“Is this another puzzle?” Blaze questioned.

“Ah, yes. The ruins are full of puzzles. Ancient fusions between diversions and doorkeys, they must be solved to move from room to room.” Toriel explained.

“That seems highly impractical.” Blaze remarked.

“I suppose it is…” Toriel muttered, before shaking her head, “However, you must learn to grow used to them if you are to stay here. Try and solve this puzzle. In this room, you will need to trigger several switches. Do not worry, I have labelled the ones you need to flip.”

Blaze nodded at that, glancing at the nearest lever, which was surrounded by yellow arrows. Not bothering to read the writing surrounding it, Blaze flipped the switch, earning him a smile from Toriel. Toriel moved aside so Blaze could see the next two switches. Only one was labelled.

Humming in response, Blaze walked over to the labelled switch and pulled it. He looked over at the spikes blocking the door, frowning when he noticed they hadn’t retracted.

“Are you… sure this is the right switch?” Blaze asked.

“It should have opened by now…” Toriel muttered, sounding like she was talking to herself, “I am sure I labelled the correct lever… Ah, do not worry, young one! Try flipping the other switch.”

Hesitantly, Blaze went over to the unlabelled switch and pulled it. The ground crumbled beneath his feet, sending Blaze plummeting through the ground. With a cry of pain, Blaze hit the ground, feeling himself losing consciousness.

“Oh my! Are you alright? Oh dear, I’m afraid I cannot meet you. I must leave for a moment. You will stay there, will you not? Do not wander, many monsters are unfriendly towards humans. Fret not, young one, I shall protect you. Please… Wait there.” Was the last thing Blaze heard before he finally lost consciousness.

Here are my designs for adult Amy and Blaze. I finished Blaze just a couple nights ago and I wanted to post her and her adorable wife together.

I had a lot of fun drawing the two of them, and I wanna try and do some more fanart of this couple and flesh out their story a bit more.

So, here’s my thought process while designing them.

Amy

Soooo for Amy, I felt it would be cute to draw a little more inspo from her classic counterpart. I really like the “Rosy” design, so I made her spines look more like her classic counterpart. I adopted this visual HC of how Amy liked to style her spine in a bob, but in my au, as she got older, she stopped caring about her hair and let them spike. (Girl I feel that... my hair be uncontrollable.)

Blaze

I was at a loss of what her outfit was gonna look like. I loved the way I designed her hair... but I just couldn’t figure out how I wanted her outfit to look. Blaze’s core outfit is just so damn cool, I just couldn’t think of any way to spin it or top it. So I decided to wing it. I gave her a nice looking trench coat and looser pants... I couldn’t change her heels tho. I love dem heels. (Also, Sonic’s shoes hardly changed so why should I change hers? lol)
