Interestingly, despite claiming that the Quack Pack is non-canon and its own thing, it still appears partially in the comics, possibly showing a possible future. By the way, this is from the comic "Paperinik e i crimini virtuali" from October 1, 1998, written and drawn by Stefano De Lellis. Admittedly, it's about an ordinary Duck Avenger (Paperinik) wondering what his future holds and his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck appear as teenagers about to go to college. Yes, this may be the only time in the Italian comics that the Quack Pack version of Donald's nephews appear there, but again, it's good to know. Isn't it?

They just messed up maybe the designs and colors. I guess you recognize who is who. Although I prefer the original and true version of the Quack Pack this is how they appeared in the comic in the first place. Even if it was a non-canon future, I wish it had come up a little more often. I mean the teenage version of Donald's nephews.

Young Donald Duck and Young Della Duck - Duck comics, Ducktales 2017 and Young Donald (Quack Pack AU) - Duckverse

Even though I'm already late, I definitely did three drawings related to the best Duck twins ever. I mean Donald and Della Duck and that's related to Siblings Day. The first drawing shows Donald and Della Duck as they are depicted in the comics as a little boy and a girl, I combined a bit from the Don Rosa comic strip as well as an Italian comic book about a little Donald called Paperino Paperotto. The second drawing shows a younger Donald and a younger Della Duck as they enter their teenage years from Ducktales 2017. What I particularly liked about that series was that they showed them as younger children, and their interaction was very exciting. However, Emo Donald is not very satisfied and he wants to work as a rock musician, while Della wants to be a pilot and an astronaut. Yes, I combined the DT17 style a bit with my style and yes I added that they are wearing jeans. The third drawing shows a teenage Donald Duck as depicted in the Young Donald Duck comics, I just added him wearing a backwards cap and a teenage Della Duck, as I imagine her to be, complete with ponytail blonde hair. And I combined the Italian comic book style with my own style. And yes, this third version is how Donald would be in 1990s outfits if he was a teenager like Della Duck and it's part of my Quack Pack AU, so Donald looks a lot like Louie from Quack Pack, while Della looks a lot like teenage Gosalyn from Darkwing Duck and April (May and June's sister, Daisy's niece) as teenagers from Dutch comics and how I imagine.

I hope you like these drawings and these characters and these ideas. Happy Siblings Day once again! Also this is a gift for my friends @0sharisa0 (who celebrated her birthday last month) and for @squirmydonnie (who loves Emo Donald from Ducktales 2017). I hope you like them.

Unpopular opinion, but I kind of prefer Huey, Dewey and Louie from the DuckTales reboot when they become teenagers and then adults to all wear pants. I'm just embarrassed to see that no one is wearing or that one is wearing and the others are not. It makes me cringe. Sorry.

Quack Pack AU - Donald, Daisy, Huey, Dewey and Louie, April, May and June Duck - My version - Quack Pack and Duckverse

Sorry for not posting anything for a long time, had a lot of trouble, but now everything is fine. Without further ado, let me wish Donald's nephews a happy birthday, who celebrate on October 17th in addition to April 15th, because that's the date that Donald's nephews first appeared in the comic strip entitled "Donald's Nephews", in 1937 by Ted Obsorne and Al Taliaferro . Happy birthday and sorry for the delay!

What makes it furry

As I’ve come to realise, what makes something furry gets more specific than either merely dressing up as animals or portraying anthropomorphic animals. People anthropomorphise animals all the time, without being a part of the furry subculture themselves. People dress up as animals without necessarily being furries themselves, same goes for depicting anthropomorphic characters.

Furry is something else altogether, or at least take anthropomorphism to a different place. Whenever a furry comes up with a fursona, it’s generally their idealised self though it sometimes gets realised in the form of an outfit. That’s different from merely dressing up as an animal, since those who wear cat ear headbands don’t always and in fact, never come up with their own fursonas.

Not all people who depict anthropomorphic animals necessarily come up with fursonas, nor do they do art for people with fursonas well all the time. Some don’t even do fursona art at all in any form or way, which goes to show you how specific furry sensibilties are. Though furry fandom started out as a fandom for anthropomorphic animals and still is so to an extent.

Not that furries don’t do fanart at all, but that furries more readily and eagerly come up with their own idealised personas to the point where some even dress up as such. What makes something furry is more specific than liking a franchise with anthropomorphic animals in it, one can like Donald Duck without being a furry themselves. In fact, most Donald Duck fans are just Disney fans.

While Donald Duck could technically be a furry because he’s an anthropomorphic animal, the fact that he’s such a well-known and mainstream character means he’s more readily embraced by non-furries than they do with something like Extinctioners. Same goes for the Looney Tunes and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, really.

I don’t think some people care to realise that there’s a difference between plain anthropomorphism and furry, especially when it comes to the mindset and sensibility. Furries aren’t like people who merely dress up in animal fancy dress, not that they’re perverts but they’re something else altogether.
