EXACTLY EXACTLY!!!!! Season 9 narratively makes NO FUCKING SENSE of that was the plan all along for the finale! Why make your viewers invest all that emotion and care into Barney and Robin! Why invest all that plot into Ted ‘letting Robin go’! It’s just BAD. Finale I reject you.

And this is such a big brain take about how Barney and Robin meet that day too and that the whole show is really just THEIR love story and Ted’s comes as a result.

Fuck now I wanna rewatch again except for the fact that I don’t cause TedMosbyisaJerk.com

No because it was a crime to set up how perfect Robin and Barney pair together (to the point where it can be obvious on rewatches from season 1! When you’re supposed to WANT Ted and Robin together! Barney and her STILL seem more compatible!) only to have them divorce at the beginning of the finale for no good reason. I will die mad.
