Roy Kent's Astrology Chart

Based on info from the FIFA game. This might be the most fitting astrology chart for a fictional character I've seen, thanks synchronicity.

He has his Moon in Scorpio which is full of intense, enduring emotions, prone to possessiveness, a need for deep emotional connection, can't stand superficiality. And where is all this energy? Buried in the 12th house of the subconscious. 12th house moons are used to repressing their emotions and have a hard time pinning down exactly what they're feeling, they're scared if they crack open that door a flood of neediness will pour out. They are often incredibly empathetic and try to take care of others at an emotional distance (social workers, working with other people's kids, etc.)

The Moon is ruling his Cancer 8th house of sex, so that 8th house energy also ends up in the subconscious of the 12th house (“I could never be that free"). His North Node is there so part of his soul growth is to emotionally connect with others deeply (it doesn't mean just sex).

The early nurturing was interrupted in some way. This especially seems the case since he has Chiron, the wounded healer, in tight opposition to his Moon.

Aquarius Mercury square Pluto doesn’t give a fuck about pissing off authority and would rather give a stony silence than lie.

Scorpio rising at the 29* degree. Tall, dark, and handsome. Intense. Never smiles. Known for that hip thing he does during sex.

Since we keep talking about sex... Let's get to the Libra Pluto/Saturn/Mars all conjunct. Mars in 10th is a good placement for an athlete. Mars in justice loving Libra hates a bully, although they usually try not to make waves until they absolutely have to.

Now there's sooo much to be said for the Saturn/Mars conjunction so I'll try to be brief - Saturn is restraint and Mars is action, there's tension between the two energies, but once the native commits to hardwork they can become very disciplined and accomplished. This is considered the classic Man's Man aspect. (All the James Bond actors have had a Saturn-Mars aspect.) Now add in the obsessiveness of Pluto and you have a recipe for a formidable athlete. Or a serial killer? Maybe just a healthy dom kink? Regardless, this combination makes him more proactive than the typical Libra Mars.

The fact that they all trine his Sun speaks to him being a natural leader who can actually express himself well (3rd house) when he puts himself out there.

His Venus in Capricorn likes to show affection in practical and tangible ways. Much like his Scorpio Moon it will not settle for superficiality, it wants to build something real once it commits. However it can become sensitive over matters of status or reputation. Unfortunately his Venus isn't making any easy aspects. It is square the Mars/Saturn/Pluto combo which means there's tension between his romantic (Venus) and sexual (Mars) nature, as well as hesitancy to express himself (Pluto and Saturn). (This suggests someone who may’ve been romantically awkward in their youth and coasts on status.) Relationships - both platonic and romantic - won't be easy, but are absolutely necessary to mature (Saturn) and grow (Pluto).

He has his Rising, Sun, and Moon all in Fixed signs (Aquarius - Fixed Thoughts, Scorpio - Fixed Emotions), giving him a stubborn nature, resistant to change, or at least change needs to happen gradually. The Sun - Moon square speaks to conflict between his emotional needs (Scorpio - closeness, protectiveness) and ego needs (Aquarius - detached, explore life from a curious but comfortable distance), it feels like in order to satisfy one need the other must be sacrificed.

Rebecca & The Lasso Ring

If you didn't think much of it before, now you might.

Seen in both 3x06 and 3x07, the ACNE Studios gold knot ring has caused quite a stir.

In 3x06, Rebecca wears the ring on her right middle finger.

In 3x07, the ring is worn on her left middle finger.

It's also interesting to note that Rebecca wears a lot of blue this season. Here, she wears a cyan blazer and azure dress. Both of these colors are associated with calm, tranquility, thought and, of course, water. Watery shades for a watery meet-cute!

But wait - there's more! Both azure and cyan are derived from the Lapis Lazuli stone. Ultramarine, a color pigment famously used by Vincent Van Gogh, is also a product of Lapis Lazuli. To take things even further, Van Gogh's Amsterdam sunflowers - which moved and inspired Ted in 3x06 - were painted with the pigment Veronese Green - yet another product of azurite. I'm not saying Rebecca could be Ted's inspiration this season, but I'm also not *not* saying it.

Back to that ring - as mentioned before, Rebecca goes from wearing it on the middle finger of her right hand in 3x06 to wearing it on her left middle finger in 3x07.

On the most basic level, the episode title is 'The Strings That Bind Us', so some string-related jewellery makes sense. But there might also a deeper meaning behind it.

In palmistry, the middle finger represents balance, responsibility and self-analysis. In astrology, the middle finger is connected to the wisdom of Saturn. Rebecca's journey so far has been, for all intents and purposes, a quest for wisdom. A time of introspection and discovering her worth.

In conversation with Keeley, she recalls that in the early days of her relationship with Rupert 'It just felt nice to be taken care of for once.' However, it's a wistful recollection, almost mourning the feeling wasted on a man who didn't care about her at all. It's at this moment that Rebecca fiddles with the ring. It's subtle, but noticeable nonetheless.

There are two men who have genuinely taken care of her since Rupert, and she happily left one in Amsterdam. The thing is, all of the qualities she found appealing in her Dutch mystery man are right there in Richmond. She hasn't quite made the connection yet, but for all the talk of soulmates and the red string of fate (which Ted tripped over!) in this episode, a lasso around her finger is a pretty big hint. Only time will tell if our final Biscuits With The Boss is sealed with a kiss.

Here's Jamie Tartt's astrology chart which absolutely no one asked for. Birth data from the wonderful @disasterbijamietartt who got it off the FIFA game (it is questionable but probably the only thing we'll get, if there's dates for other characters please lmk).

Quick Analysis -

Leo Rising - a strutting king.

Love that Sun/Mercury/Chiron mix. Libra Sun ruling his Leo rising shows he does know how to be conscientious, will try to appease others (able to agree with everything Roy said until he had to say he was ugly = pure Libra lol, knows what's needed to win people over). Mercury in Scorpio is brilliant at tactics and seeing through people's shit, but Mercury/Chiron makes him insecure about verbally expressing his intelligence, being gaslit and trusting others is the wound, sexualized comments by himself and others are the wound, the wound is in the 4th house of family.

Moon in Gemini just wants to tell you ALL THESE FUN FACTS ABOUT AMSTERDAM, can compartmentalize his different personalities, will start shit just because he's bored, can't sit still, needs to verbalize feelings and will likely ramble. Mom was probably very young, fun, a bit immature herself, wanted to share new experiences together.

Venus/Mars conjunction = slut lol. Loosely conjunct Pluto for the #trauma. He knows how to have a good time, aware of how his physical presence affects others, loves fashion, a touch (or more) of femininity in his masculinity, impulsivity in romance that gets him in trouble, love must be fun.

Saturn in Aries on Midheaven wants to be the best, has to win (Aries), but there are a lot of lessons (Saturn) about what that really means before he can be truly great (Saturn/Midheaven). Pressure from the father figure (this Saturn and Sun should be more fucked up in my opinion, but then again I think Jamie truly does have solid self-esteem). Cares too much how he is perceived, especially by the general public. A reality show is one of the worst things a Saturn/MC could do.

Tension between 5th and 11th houses - being the star vs. part of the group is something that must be reconciled. Group therapy might be great for him with Moon in 11th house.

Don't really like that Jupiter on the descendant or empty 8th house tbh. Same sign on the 7th and 8th house cusps can mean reading too much into romantic intimacy.

“My what?” Rebecca asked without looking up.

“You know, birth charts. Where the stars were at the exact time and place you were born? It explains all sorts of stuff about your personality and your future.”

Rebecca had heard the term. Sassy had mentioned getting her chart read after her divorce, offered her psychic’s services. But at £200 Rebecca had decided her money was better spent on a birthday massage—

“Hold on.” She whipped her head up. “How the fuck did you find out what time I was born?”

“Oh, I texted Deborah.” Rebecca should have known introducing Keeley to her mother was a mistake, but she hardly expected them to get on so well. She blamed their shared love of murder podcasts. “I knew you wouldn’t give it up. You’re secretive like that. It’s very Scorpio of you.”

“Alright that’s enough of that.” Rebecca glanced back down at her papers, ignoring the self-satisfied look on Keeley’s face.

“Don’t worry. I didn’t just do your chart. I’ve got the whole club’s right here,” she said, plopping down beside Rebecca. “Lots of interesting stuff going on in the House of Greyhound.”

Rebecca could practically hear her wagging her eyebrows.

“Please tell me you got everyone else’s birth information voluntarily? I really don’t have time to talk to HR today.”

“Oh, the team was easy! I just had to get one of them excited about it and then they all piled on.” She tilted her head. “Apparently Colin is very sensitive to Mars.”

Rebecca raised her brow, not sure what to do with that little tidbit of information. She’d never given Mars much thought in her daily life.

“Beside, not everyone is so tight-lipped about personal facts. Did you know Ted was born in a bowling alley?”

Rebecca couldn’t help but smile at that. Of course Ted would have a folksy birth story. He probably popped out saying, “Howdy y’all.”

“How exactly does this connect to your job as a head of Marketing?”

Keeley lit up, opening the folder. “Well, I was thinking we could do social media posts about the players’ signs, highlight some of the team dynamics on the field with their compatibility scores, and maybe—“

“Fine,” Rebecca acquiesced. “If the players sign off on the posts, it’s fine. Let’s move on.”

“Wait, don’t you want to see your chart?” Keeley’s brow furrowed and for a moment Rebecca felt bad. She did didn’t mean to dismiss Keeley’s hard work, it was just the content that left a sour taste in her mouth. It wasn’t for her.

But before she could answer, Ted was knocking at her door holding a piece of paper in his hand.

“Hey Keeley, what does it mean if my chart says my moon is in Aquarius?” Ted asked. “And does it have anything to do with the dawning of the age of Aquarius? Because that sounds like a barn raising I’d like to attend.”

“Ted,” Rebecca gaped. “Don’t tell me you believe in this sort of thing?”

“Well I dunno.” He shrugged, looking between the two women. “It’s kind of fun. Like a personality test, but more complicated.” He waved the paper around. “I feel like Nicolas Cage in National Treasure just trying to understand all these lines and symbols.”

Rebecca rolled her eyes. “I’m sorry, but nothing on the sheet says anything about anyone except that they’re incredibly naive and take no ownership for what happens in their life. No offense Keeley.”

Keeley sighed. “Such a skeptic. Typical Scorpio.”

Rebecca refused to dignifying that with a response.

“Scorpio, huh?” Ted asked, voice curious.

He was watching Rebecca with a familiar look, but one she rarely saw around the club. It felt like he was seeing all of her, his eyes skating a path down her body.

“I believe that’s my cue to leave.” Keeley slipped a piece of paper from the top of her folder and handed it to Rebecca. “This is for you.” Then, with a very obvious wink and a knowing smile, she bounced out of Rebecca’s office.

“Really Ted?” Rebecca asked, raising one brow, but Ted just smiled, taking Keeley’s seat.

“What? It’s not my fault my chart says I should expect a Scorpio in my bed tonight.”

“It does not.” Rebecca lunged for the paper in his hand, leaning across his lap only to miss entirely. She twisted around until was staring up at a gleeful Ted Lasso.

“You’re right. It doesn’t.” His placed his hand on the outside of her knee, reading from the paper for real this time. “But it does say some interesting things about Taurus and Scorpio compatibility. It looks like Keeley did some of her own interpreting.”

He pointed to a section on his paper, circled twice in red ink:

“It also says that there’s a ‘a strong sexual connection between Taurus and Scorpio.’” He said, voice low as he traced small circles around her knee. “But I guess we already knew that.”

Her eyes flicked down to the next section:

Bulls, by definition, are sexual beasts and crave the carnal. Governed by pleasure, physical intimacy comes natural to the sign, provided it vibes with the right zodiac.

Heat uncurled in her belly, and she bit her lip. She wasn’t ready to give credence to any of this star stuff. Not yet.

“But you know, you might need to fight Beard. It turns out he’s a Virgo and our connection is literally fire. Or I’m guessing based on all these little fire icons things. He and I have five and you and I only have four so—”

“Okay, that’s enough of that.” Rebecca sat up and straddled Ted’s lap, taking his chin in her hand.

“I’d like to see Beard do this,” she murmured, dropping her lips to his. Ted’s hand fell against her thigh, the other gliding up her back. She could hear the piece of paper crumple against her dress. Ted turned his head, deepening the kiss, and she groaned against his tongue before remembering her office door was still open.

She pulled away reluctantly, burying her face in his neck. “Oh god. Keeley is going to be insufferable when she finds out about us, isn’t she?”

“Yeah,” Ted sighed, tracing patterns against her back. But there was a smile in his voice that made it clear he didn’t care.

She pushed herself upright and looked at the man in front of her, his eyes staring up at her like she hung the stars and the moon herself. It was silly, Rebecca didn’t believe in birth charts or fate, but the idea didn’t seem so odd when it was Ted beside her.

With a squeeze of her leg and eyes that said I see you, she felt that pull into something larger than herself. In that moment she could see their future stretched before them, twined with the club and the legacy they were building together.

Maybe the stars were shining down on them after all.
