So....here I am, I promised I'd write something after every fic I read which I definately did not hold upto but!!! I have just read this amazing fiction by the above author named Extension (read here)

This fanfiction explores a found family trope where Wilbur and Technoblade are the princes of a flourishing empire which is lead by Philza and they are in search of having a new someone to call their brother. Enter Tommy, a blind child with a bright mind and extraordinary powers! He has kept the entire Kingdom on his toes and now is wanted alive and cuddled by the two princes.

This is a very heartwarming story with beautifully interwoven fantasy and magical elements. The plot is wonderful and delivers what the tags promise with wholesome feelings and emotions. It's a perfect balance of fluff and angst.

It took me around 4 hours to read it entirely in a go. It's very easy to read and comprehend. The language and theme are wonderful and absolutely amazing. Kudos to the author ( I don't know if they have a Tumblr account. If they do please tell me.

I’m a sucker for hurt comfort and angst but I love reading about found families too and I wish there were more stories of tinies/giant sizeshifters or shapeshifts hiding that they can shift because they’re afraid of rejection or being abused that when potential family figure finds out, (or hurts them when they do know) they bolt. Then lots and lots of healing and love.

favorite headcannon you've come up with (canon!dsmp, ff!dsmp, etc.) Ok so after season 1 ended, I came up with this thing that the S1 selves still exist, but are like trapped in the C! subconsciousness and that in Season 2, S1 self and S2 self will end up talking. And I have this thing where Tommy and Dream become friends but Tommy starts pulling pranks and shenanigans like he used too in S1 and Dream is just brushing them off even though he’s slightly bothered. To the point where weird shit starts happening on the server but no one can trace the source, while S2 Dream just keeps blacking out with headaches. Because S1 Dream is taking over his body and getting Revenge on Tommy for causing him the same pain. And at some point S1 and S2 Dream speak and it goes something like this: no tommy didn't destroy my build to hurt me. it was innocent fun! A prank!! s1 dream: No Dream. He did it to hurt others, hurt your real friends, ��to hurt us, hurt you. Or maybe a different route where S2 Dream is heading down that same road that S1 Dream did, and S1 Dream comes to S2 Dream with warning and basically its a self healing moment. And like this applies to Tommy too in different ways and I just think it would be cool if the S1 and S2 selves met each other.

I'm not a fan of his content style, I find it kinda grating, but godDAYUM do I respect the content creator, and more importantly, the MAN Thommas Innit has become over the last half decade or so. Like, genuinely, he was surrounded by arseholes and morons, his idols were Wilbur Soot and Logan Paul ffs, and he's come out the other side a better man than all of them. Shoutout to all the amazing influences in Tommy's life, MommyInnit, Technoblade, Jack Manifold (Jack please don't turn out to be an asshole in like three years or something lol), everyone who kept this child on the right track through it all.

The low buzz from the air conditioning in the quiet stuffy room sounded as you fixed the dress on your figure. It wasn’t something you’d ever be caught dead in but when you hit the subgoal for a surprise stream you really had no choice.

It had been a lot easier than you had thought it was going to be, to be able to accumulate the dress and its accessories without your boyfriend noticing with the fact that he had put it right back into its package after wearing.

A maid dress. Your mind had never even thought about something the costume on until you ended up actually hitting your subgoal and didn’t even have the surprise ready. Knowing if you stared at the outfit any longer you’d chicken out and have to reschedule your stream for another day.

The sigh that left your lips was supposed to help let go of all the built up fear and discouragement but ended up doing nothing of the sort. Knowing you were too far gone now you pressed the start stream button waiting a few minutes for the notification to send to all your followers so they could tune in.

“Hi loves!” You smiled, catching glimpses of certain comments in the chat, the mention of your boyfriend's character name appearing more than once. “No Fund , won’t be here for this special stream. But this one is so special I blocked him so he can’t watch it.”

You knew there were two reactions you could get had your boyfriend been able to see the stream. One he’d laugh. Laugh his ass off and wouldn’t care how many daggers you sent him, or he’d become an absolute simp.

“Mmm.” You pretended to think about the answer to the question you had gotten quite a few times. “Uh fuck Dream for leaving him at the alter.” The smp lore was never really your thing, but people seemed to really want you to know that he was left for a British boy at his wedding on twitter after it happened.

“Ok guys are you ready?” your nerves bubbled with fear as you thought about all the possibilities and outcomes you wearing a simple outfit could lead to. With a sigh you turned on your camera and stuff back so everyone could get a full view of what you were wearing.

Your eyes wandered as you watched the chat fill with “awoogas,” , “simping.” , and “you’ve killed me Nn.” Before you could respond your streaming door opened and their stood your boyfriend though he wasn’t looking at you, too busy looking at something on his phone.

“Hey babe? Everyone’s saying you're streaming but it’s saying something about me being-...” He trailed off looking at you for the first time since he entered. “Ohh..”

Having a mind of their own your hands went to the side of your body as you did a semi enthusiastic jazz hands. “You like?” Not wanting it to become too awkward with your boyfriend just gawking at how the maid dress looked on you; you did a little spin allowing the curtain of the skirt to flow up and doing a little pose at the end.

“I love it.” He smiled walking over to you taking your hand in his and twirling you around once more to get a closer view of how it looked. “Look very dashing.” He mumbled one of his hands going to the dip in your back while the other encased your hands together allowing him to dip the two of you for a semi romantic kiss in front of two hundred thousand people.

After bringing your bodies back up he place multiple kisses on your cherry flavored lips *wink wink* before you had to push him away reminding him you were streaming and this shouldn’t be something done on stream.

“I’ve decided I have nothing better to do and that i’ll just sit here and watch my beautiful significant other do what they do best,”

Part two. Now to the actual plot, ffs.

Now to the actual plot, ffs. So, everything kinda starts at Great Lands at the day when new ruler gets chosen by tradition where Descendant of God of The Constellations preforms a special spell to let the stars show their new ruler. The fate chooses Eret and we kinda just hang out there and new meeting of the rulers are scheduled. Don't know if it's like just sorts of soon or a time-skip to it, so meeting happens on a territory of New Lands. There's obviously every ruler of the country and one of their helpers (vice president, right hand or something else). While the meeting is happening Quackity acts on his plan, arresting Techno under false president's order. Ant and Sam taking him to prison. However Techno finds a way to break away from them like right before his cell and runs. However he stumbles upon Phil's cell and decided that have a accomplice or a friend when you becoming an international criminal by running away from your assigned country as a descendant is much better. While it's all happening Tubbo and Fundy return from a meeting and talk to Q and Tubbo is utterly shocked by actions of his vice president and really want to fix everything until it's too late. He warns Q that if he will give another order without consulting him first, he would be judged for a treason, takes Fundy and runs off to meet Techno. When they arrive at prison Techno and Phil going out of it and it visibly a bit shaken. Tubbo tries to reason with Techno, tell him that he wasn't the one giving orders, Techno doesn't believes him and since Tubbo really does nothing to stop him, he tries to leave, but Tubbo actually comes very close to hold him down. And this is when Tubbo gets shot by Sam who will later say he was aiming at Techno (he wasn't). Everyone are shocked but Phil takes Techno with him and they fly away. Basically they go to North into Red Kingodm's swamps and forests because before Phil got himself imprisoned he knew someone who lives there - Sneeg. While they're going Fundy is kinda left with heavy injured Tubbo, he panics, thinking that he's dead and runs to president house's hidden archive, where stored everything that ever belonged to previous presidents. At the same time Q gets a report from Sam that President is out of commission that makes him an acting power in New Lands and that's Philza and Techno are escaped. He writes a message to all rulers about it and how he announces that Technoblade and Philza should be killed on sight. Fundy finds what he was seeking - a spell book and a 'statue' of ex-president and Descendant of the God of Death Schlatt. Fundy nervously uses an anti-spell on statue and brings Schlatt back. The man is very confused and needs to adjust to being alive again, after that he scolds Fundy for not even fucking checking if his friend has a pulse. He sends him to get him medical instruments and some medical stuff if he wants his president be alive without reviving him. So after some time Techno and Phil arrive at the place they were going to and very surprised to see Scott there, mostly the one surprised is Phil since he knew him in war times and haven't heard from him since. Scott and Techno have an argument where Techno calls Scott a coward for hiding and doing nothing against something he dislikes in his country, Scott calls Techno hot headed and naive they were sulking at each other for some time until he gets to talk to Pearl through the reflection of the moon on water. She advises to give it a chance and if world won't get better he could run away any time. News about Techno's and Phil's betrayals of their nation were shocking for everyone who knew them. Dream thought it's some sort of mistake and wanted to go and find Techno himself to talk to him, but Punz talks him out it because it would be dangerous for him, elder commission could announce him as a national criminal and for his head as well. Grian, who kinda grew up with Phil and fought a war with him back then was even more shocked. And was mentally preparing to do whatever needs to be done to avoid war starting again.

Yeah, Q is kinda betraying the country, but the Elders' Council in the Great Lands, a few generals in the Red Army of the Red Kingdom and a cultural commission in the Shadow realm is in on it too. They are trying to antagonize every single one of the Marked against each other, because they believe that if cycle can be broken they should all kill each other and after the Marked people will be gone all their magic will go into special artifacts created by them with ink magic. And artifacts are much easier to control than people.

What wasn't really expected is that a large quantity of the energy that will burst in the conflict between descendants will be enough to awaken an old monster of Crimson vines, that have the ability to eat at the energy of people and magic. And it will grow rapidly, trying to consume everyone, people whom it consumed it can make practically identical copies of, that are able to use the same powers or even have the knowledge of originals. The only give-away is the crimson eyes.

And the world was put into chaos, the awakening of this old monster became a resonance for other monsters to appear as well, such as great sea serpent that caused storms or golden eagle of fires.

Basically it all ended with them using their power to fucking defeat and seal them all away again. Which actually did free them of the marks of gods. But the shadow of god's powers did not go into the artifacts like some people wanted, they separated into shards and became desires, ambitions of people. Now every person who's ambition was strong enough received a tattoo of determination, that gave them powers associated with one of the god's ideals.

Fuck it! The entire plot of the Ancestors AU I made. Because it's very much discontinued forever.

The world of the Ancestor's AU was created long ago by gods, that kinda created each other. Basically at first there was nothing, then a concept of existence itself has been born and was split into four concepts known as "Time", "Space", "Life" and "Death". These four concepts grew and at one point gained courteousness with the understanding that they can create anything. And they did. They are four primary gods from which every other concept was born: "Sun", "Moon", "Constellation", "Sky", "Earth", "Blood", "Light" and "Shadow". Time, Space, Life and Death are existential concepts. Sun, Moon and Constellation are celestial concepts. Sky, Earth, Light, Shadow and Blood are earthly concepts.

With Sun, Moon, Sky and Earth also representing four elements of fire, water, air and rock respectfully.

At some point the god of Light (or Ancestor of Light in this world) created two birds from the two identical drops of light - The Bird of Joy and The Bird of Grief. Although two were identical one was singing and brought people joy and prosperity, the song of the other brought despair and knowledge of the catastrophe to come. And filled with jealousy bird of grief attacked her sister and killed her, her feathers changed colour from spilled blood from yellow to black. Distraught by her own actions, she asked Ancestor of Death to bring her sister back. The Ancestor stroke a deal with her, that both of them will be allowed to be reborn in new bodies and live. But they will always end up harming each other.

On the next day all gods (Ancestors) disappeared. For decades they protected people of the lands they created and just suddenly completely vanished like they never existed. Except that day a first person with the mark of the God was born, starting a cycle of endless reincarnation. The marked by god people will be known in the world as "Descendants of the gods". They have an access to the shadow of the gods' power, but even that is much stronger than anything that humanity was trying to recreate. (And they also live very long naturally if not stabbed) They became the ultimate weapons of their countries. And so began the Great Era of Wars.

The Great Lands and The Red Kingdom started their ruthless wars, while the Shadow Realm raised the "shadow curtain" - a barrier that requires a Descendant of the god of Shadow to maintain - around their islands, isolating the country from the wars. A lot of shit goes down actually during the Era of Wars: people die left and right, famine, people trying to killed marked people as babies or kidnap them. That's actually how Grian, who is marked by the Bird of Joy got to the Red Kingdom and Red Army - he was kinda kidnapped, which is better than being killed, to be honest.

When he grows up there Red Kingdom has 6 makrked people: Death (Schlatt), Grief (Philza), Space (Mumza), Blood (Techno's ancestor), Earth (Ren's Ancestor and a Red King of the Red dynasty) and Joy (Grian). Marked by the God of Blood is naturally strive for justice and unity and this nature brings him to leading a lot of people out of the war, running away from Red Army. And pretty much every other marked person followed him, besides Grian who willingly decided to stay behind, because the devastation for people of the Red Kingdom would be too great. And well, the Red King, who IS leading the freaking war.

At one point they traveled to the end of the land, but they still were chased by Red Army so Mumza, being a Marked by a God of Space, decides to use her powers to create a new continent for their people. However it's such a great use of her power, that it took away her body by the time the continent was finished. Schaltt attempted to bring her back, but there was no body for him to work with. The day after the New Lands were established in the Red Kingdom a new child with the mark of Space was born.

Techno's Ancestor, marked by the god of Blood, decided that they can't run away and hide, in hope that the war won't reach their people. They should stop the wars once and for all and to do that they shall kill the Red Kind and current Royal Majesty of the Great Kingdom. And they needed help.

So Philza was sent to fly to the Shadow Realm and propose a plan created by Techno's Ancestor and Schlatt. Reluctantly (took a while to convince the commissions) they agreed and The Shadow Realm joined the war.

The final battle was hell on earth, but they've done it. The wars were over. The marked by Sun, Sky, Constellation, Light, Earth and Blood died on that day. But the Era of Peace have began.

Somewhere on the timeline that happened: -Schlatt in attempt to save Cleo from his own decay, tied to revive her. But it resulted in her permanently stuck in between being dead (decaying) and alive (reanimating) and she is now in a lot of constant pain, but also probably immortal. That gave her a title of "Undead General". -Badboyhalo was born way before the wars and got stuck in the Shadow Realm during the Era of Wars. When marked by the Sun was reincarnated, he actually found him and took him in, covering up the fact that the boy - Sapnap - is actually marked. He took him away from Shadow Realm to Great Kingdom when it got finally safe. But now people deem the cycle broken for the marked by the Sun and his shrine is very empty in the Shadow realm. -Phil adopts a boy named Wilbur and tries his best at parenting. -A specific type of magic was invented the magic of Ink, which basically meant that with specific ink all symbols written on paper could have specific properties, which was good for astral charts, seals and stuff. -Scott running away to live in the forest between the Red Kingdom and Great Lands, because he is Tired and wants to live his own life, without being told what to do. - Wilbur grew up, became president of the New Lands, got a son of his own, became insane from obsession that everyone want to betray him, made Tubbo a vice president, died leaving (begged for Phil to kill him) a president's stool to Tubbo. - A bunch of marked people sealed into statues for "peace" purposes. Such as Time, Light and Death.

Dream SMP Essay: c!Quackity's Conflicting Backstories

Notes: 

Some of you may already know some of this, because I have already posted part of my findings on c!Q's DSMP wiki page. And to members of the Flycord, you might have already found me ranting about this in his loveposting channel a couple of days ago or so.

Everything in the context of either characters (c!) and content creators (cc!) are labelled as such. The unlabelled names would refer to instances where the situation is ambiguous and apply to both.

Citations and links to VODs will be provided as required as evidence.

Content warnings: Death, dehumanization mention, injury, mental health, trauma, violence, etc. If further tagging is needed, please message me by asks or DMs.

Currently, c!Quackity has 2 potentially-contradicting known canon backstories, the first one being juvenile prison and the second one being MCM. I will elaborate more below the cut.

Backstory A: Juvenile prison

c!Q was allegedly in juvie for either 10 or 41 years before joining the SMP. It is unknown how he ended up there in the first place, e.g. what he did to be sent there, and there is very little context to what exactly happened there, other than it being an unhappy and possibly traumatic experience for him.

From what we know, he apparently broke his legs somehow during his second night there, and possibly even every night there. He might also be claustrophobic as a result of this. Since this backstory was mostly dropped after Q's first couple of livestream appearances, and it was mostly played for laughs than for drama, it is unknown how canonical this backstory is.

There are 4 main mysteries related to this potential backstory:

As mentioned above, what did he do to get sent to juvie in the first place?

How did the leg-breaking thing even happen? There is literally zero context to how that could have happened. And every night? Who is doing this? What kind of juvie is this? Can someone please shut it down?

If this backstory were to be played dead-seriously in the current lore and plotlines, how could this have impacted him? Especially because of, you know, the Pandora's Vault arc that we have going on at present?

How was he able to contact the Triple Ts to do their "drug cartel" thing before he even joined the server? Since he was apparently, you know, in jail at the time.

Backstory B: Minecr@ft Mondays

As far as I am aware, MCM was first mentioned in the Manburg Festival stream (a year ago to this day, i.e. the day I am posting this), when c!Q explained briefly how his fear of c!Techno to the point of having a breakdown came to be. Later the same day, i.e. the same stream, c!Schlatt mentioned how he and c!Techno "go way back", citing MCM Week 6 as part of their shared pre-SMP backstory.

Later in November (real-life time), c!Q clarified how he and c!Techno first met through MCM Week 1, explaining how he hadn't heeded JunkyJanker's warning about c!Techno's rightful reputation in PVP and then getting slaughtered to the point of allegedly having PTSD. Some of you may know that stream as the one where c!Techno had his infamous 'hunters and prey' speech, by the way.

In December (real-life time), c!Q cited MCM-trauma as one of his more personal reasons for hunting c!Techno down as part of the Butcher Army. The content creators then joked about them making MCM canon to the DSMP, and while the content creators were lighthearted about it, MCM therefore became a dead-serious, fully-fledged part of the DSMP lore.

I'm not 100% sure if other Weeks of MCM are considered canonical (they might be), but there's solid confirmation to how Weeks 1 and 6 are specified to be canon. cc!Q participated in Weeks 1, 2, 6, 8, and 12 of MCM, but since I cannot find the kill records of Weeks 8 and 12, let's hypothetically take those off the list for Q-and-Techno encounters (for now, I might return if/when I get more data). In MCM Week 2, the two did not actively interact (i.e. kill each other) at any point, which leaves us with Weeks 1 and 6, and wouldn't you know it — those are the two Weeks where Quackity got murked "so many times".

Week 1: Q's deaths in Rounds 6 and 8 are both attributed to Techno, but the one in Round 8 was actually death-by-border, which doesn't really count. Round 6, however, Techno just hunted Q down to the point he had no way out, border or enchanted diamond sword to the torso. (Techno POV + Quackity POV)

Week 6: Unlike the earliest MCM Weeks, this one only had Hunger Games in Rounds 1 and 9 (beginning and end), and not every single round. Q also happened to get knocked out of the game by Techno in both rounds. (Round 1: (Quackity POV + Techno POV) (Round 9: Quackity POV + Techno POV)

I was a little skeptical at first that one encounter would lead to enough trauma to have a PTSD diagnosis, but after remembering and looking up Week 6, then taking that into consideration as well, I am not quite as skeptical of the PTSD claim anymore.

And here are an additional 6 mysteries, or details that make the MCM encounters angstier (excluding anything related to inter-worldly canon life-counts):

Schlatt was teamed with Techno during Week 6, meaning c!Q also knew him at least in passing before all three of them joined the DSMP at different times (excluding the possibility of SMP Live being canon, which opens up a different can of worms that I am not equipped to deal with). Now recall c!Q and c!Schlatt interacting again on the DSMP… no, I am not happy about this. Especially bearing in mind Schlatt during Round 9 of Week 6 (see link).

During Week 6 Round 1, after spotting Q + JunkyJanker, Techno decided to go after them and avoid Yammy and her teammate because the latter two were "sentient players". In other words… ouch.

On a funnier note, right after killing Q (in Week 6 Round 1), Techno got border-killed. TAKE THAT! Karma went and collected his debt, I suppose. /lh

Q getting bonked in Week 6 Round 9 took place in the water. If we are going with the Duck Hybrid theory that canon has provided crumbs of possible supporting evidence… ouch. Again.

On a side note, could MCM and related tournaments have caused trauma in other characters in the DSMP-verse?

Also, multiple other content creators who are now part of the DSMP also participated in MCM, e.g. Philza, Connor, BBH, Skeppy, even Dream at one point. Would MCM be counted as part of their backstories as well? How can we explain their participation in the event while still adhering to their respective canon backstories?

Compare and Contrast

It is unlikely for both of these backstories to work at the same time, due to their overlapping time frames. There is one exception to this, however, it's that c!Q was either let out of jail early, or was let out temporarily to participate in MCM for whatever reason.

The only thing that these two backstories have in common is that c!Q allegedly had PTSD from both (A and B), though we don't know if that was an official diagnosis or a self-diagnosis (for better or worse). So either way, cc!Quackity decided that he was gonna give his character canonical trauma the moment he stepped on the SMP, and then just rolled with it until the boulder was hurling unstoppably down the mountain slope.

I miss him still, and while I wish the pain would go away I also fear the day I think of him for the last time, when the pain is no longer there because it is forgotten, because he is forgotten, and though I will never forgive myself for that day, I feel it is inevitable and a simple fact of life unless I actually die as young as I sometimes joke I will. no one deserves to be forgotten, so if his memory does come to pass from me be it in life or death I hope that others, some unborn yet, will remember him for a thousand years, and thousands more. for you cannot die if your name is still whispered in myth, spoken in legends, and thus he, I know, will never die.
