I think we still have some 5.25" floppies around here. I'm sure I have 3.5" diskettes.
But I'm in my 40s, live in Silicon Valley, and was raised by computer engineers, so that's entirely within expected parameters
Tag your age if you wanna bc I was just thinking about how I have used floppy disks before (I'm 25 and used them in elementary computer lab) but my 22 y.o. brother hasn't which is so weird to me like 3 years isn't a long time at all to me

ANC = Active Noise Control (or Active Noise Reduction, ANR). Headphones with this have a button or switch to activate it. The headphones play additional white noise intended to cancel outside noise. Headphones with only ANC may not fit tightly over/in your ears.
Passive soundproofing: this method relies on materials and fit to reduce outside noise. This means a tight seal inside your ear (earbuds) or over/around your ear (headphones).

Hey all I made a poll expanding other to add rogue one and Andor characters go vote in that one. After both these polls finish I will make a final poll comparing the two winners to see who is truly the saddest death on Star Wars.

“I want to be a vet” is a common childhood dream… but I’m curious just how widespread it is!

I saw this image on LinkedIn and was wondering which one was on your first-ever Windows computer? 🤔
E.g. for me, number 2 was on my first ever computer (at primary school back in the early 2000s) 🥰

Dagnabbit, @alicedopey! Now I can't stop thinking about what, if any, other languages Ransom knows!
My thoughts:
French - His parents initially pushed it because they liked how it sounds and thought it would help his understanding of English vocabulary (English being the bastardized language it is). He kept doing it when he saw the ladies swoon as he talked.
German - He is making sure his BMW is authentic. That he can repair it. That he's able to get the correct parts because he knows what he's saying.
Spanish - To spy on the help. At least when he was younger, if not now. Especially with how his racist his parents are. He's likely to learn it so he can report the help to his parents. Or falsely accuse them of something because he heard them calling him names in Spanish.
Italian - For the automobiles and the fashion. Again, it's all about making sure what he gets is the real deal. He doesn't want to risk trusting someone only to find out they sold him a knockoff.
Latin - Another one his parents pushed on him. They want him to at least appear smart and having an understanding of Latin can help with other languages as well multiple scientific fields, if they'd been able to push him into one.
