Can we talk one moment about the fact that George sent a telegram to inform Hector that the payment would be delayed, but not one to check on Gladys and ask her how she was doing or how Bertha's visit went - which is why he doesn't believe Bertha when she tells him Gladys is doing better. And after the financial situation is fixed, it's Bertha the one who sends a telegram to Gladys to invite her and her husband to Newport. During this season George has been consistently unwilling to lift a finger to help Gladys in any way that might matter. Father of the Year, Ladies and Gentlemen.

I have a completely different take on this. This is horrible.

If a kid goes to an adult and days “Timmy put gum in my hair” -adult needs to repond to that and correct Timmy that that is wrong to do.

If a kid goes to the teacher to say “Julie copied Jamie’s picture” then the teacher might correct that child to let them know, gently, that that is not an appropriate thing to share without being asked.

If a kid goes to the teacher to say “George just ran out of the door on his own” again teacher needs to immediately act on that.

A person who should not be in teaching is one that tells the kids to “go talk to a wall”. Those kids also are leaning teachers not adults will listen to them.

But go on if you think this is appropriate behavior (it’s not)

I fucking told y’all George was an asshole! Again, to repeat myself (which I hate doing btw) just because he was better then some of the other “railroad barons” doesn’t make him a good person.

He’s a fucking hypocrite (which I also despise) and I fully expect him to step out on Bertha next season.

My prediction is Larry & Marian will become engaged and she will apprentice under Bertha… if you take my meaning.

I am surprised as hell about Dr. Kirkland however he still needs to learn to think for his own fucking self.

I knew Gladys would announce a pregnancy soon. That’s the main reason I’d bet the Duke was an ass on their wedding night. To get an heir asap. Thankfully their marriage is tuning out happier then we feared! I believe something I read how they are taking from both of the real historical Duke’s marriages.

The hostilities will continue of bet between Mrs. Astor and Mrs. Russell but really what else could we expect? I do suspect someone will be brought in during season four that will have them on the same side of a bigger issue again

Just saw a video from the New York Historical Reference Library about a copy of Society As I Have Found Them given to them by Ward McAlister.

Apparently a few years after being cast out of society he went back to them and hand wrote the names of everyone he talked about in the margins of the book!
