Tony put the flogger back down on the bed, asking Steve another silent question in a series of them. 

Steve countered by making the flogger grow wider, and change fabric. 

“I fucking hate your magic,” Tony growled. “I worked hard on that thing and -”

“You don’t hate my magic when it does this,” Steve replied evenly, and Tony noticed the hotel headboard shift into their preferred variety. 

Tony set his jaw.
