My buddy @salemoleander made a post going over all the weird stuff with BigB’s unusual Secret and it got my mind racing. The red icon... The isolating, grindy, antisocial task... The strange phrasing… Makes you think 👀

(Even if it turns out to be nothing I WILL be headcanoning lore about it hehehe)

‘Death’

Angst idea. So something happens that causes Danny Fenton to be ‘fatally injured’. Like shot through the head, cut in half, spine ripped out, impaled kind of injured. Maybe attempting to save the day after being forced out of Phantom form. So as a Halfa, as long as his core remains undamaged, Danny can eventually heal from basically anything. (Yes it will hurt, but he’ll have Deadpool level of regeneration. Just a bit slower and more subtle.) So Danny won’t die. That’s how he’s survived his battles at Phantom (because some of those get violent. The problem? Danny Fenton’s ‘death’ was very public and he hasn’t told anyone he’s Phantom yet (besides Jazz, Tucker, and Sam.) He’s scared of revealing it to his parents because he still doesn’t know how they will react and worries it might even seem worse. Like that ‘Phantom’ was impersonating their dead son or something. So he has no choice but to let the world, his parents, his school, and his former bullies believe he’s dead.

what i would give for a ghost based cod campaign. can you imagine if they pulled from the comics and had roba come back and want to get revenge against ghost for destroying his empire? the 141 slowly learning about simon riley and banding together to kill his ghost?

ghost being so certain he killed roba to set up an unreliable narrator; taking this unfathomable soldier, the nightmare of the 141, and realising he bleeds humanity. playing as ghost through flashbacks of mexico and his torture under roba but in the current time, little details break down; little inconsistencies of enemy numbers or base layout or what people look like, things that you can't be sure if you the player just missed something or if it’s really ghost seeing things that aren’t there

ghost starting to question how much of his memory is real, both what he went through with roba and what he’s currently experiencing; if it's his trauma bleeding through or if he's breaking for the last time. he doesn’t know if he can trust himself ("just make sure you can trust yourself. start there") and he has to reckon with completely trusting the 141 when he realises he can't

i need a sequence of him just losing his shit; hearing roba's voice in his head, his taunting “english” telling him he never left his compound, seeing the dead prostitute and his father laughing, always laughing, the tear of the meathook between his ribs and sting of the scorpions in his flesh, the coffin and the rotting stench of the dark and all of it culminating in ghost almost accidentally shooting soap when he tries to talk him down

whether it ends up being someone pretending to be roba or they just change it to roba still being alive, either way i need a ghost based campaign with personal stakes and character depth

i can only hope that one day people who use leafblowers on their residential lawns realize they look just as stupid as someone using a riding lawn mower. That is a heavy duty tool my friend.

The humble rake can do this job. For many fewer dollars. And zero environmental impact.

The rest of the team: "Alrighty!"

Spencer: "...like... not at all? Am I supposed to use my feet? Can I touch this with gloves and it doesn't count? Am I supposed to pick up other tools with my hands or would that disqualify me?"

The others: ...

Spencer: "I'm autistic, you should have seen this coming."

price doesn’t really know when he figured it out, all he knows is that sometimes the only way to get his team to do anything is framing a task as a dare. it’s beyond childish in his opinion, but hey—if saying “i dare you to finish your paperwork faster than ghost” works, then, well. it works, doesn’t it?
