[ID: Three panel comic. Crudely drawn stick figures represent people.
Panel 1: A lime green person is talking to someone whose color is approximately a warm grey tone.
Approximately warm grey: "You know, green is just not a very creative color."
Lime: "Excuse me?"
Approximately warm grey: "Unlike you simplistic primary greenies, nonprimary people such as myself have far more interesting chromatic alignments."
Lime: "I am going to lose patience with this very quickly, make your case immediately."
Panel 2: Zoom in on approximately warm grey.
Approximately warm grey: "Of course. I am medium-dark reddish cyan with warm-toned teal and cold sepia accents, and a dash of burgundy-toned light cornflower blue. It is a subtle, rich, complex colour with far more nuance than you can ever even begin to comprehend. Your limited, primary mind simply cannot process it. It is beyond you. You are beneath me."
Panel 3: Zoom in on lime.
Lime: "...Do you think lime green is a primary colour?"
siffrin - the newest employee, recruited from the gas station around the corner. still learning how to function in a healthy work environment. loop - an alter in the same system as siffrin. they're better at making it through tense situations than siffrin, but that doesn't mean they handle them well. mirabelle - she's worked there the longest, but turned down the promotion to manager. that's a lot of responsibility and she's still figuring out what she wants to do with her life. isabeau - recently bumped up his hours after burning out of college. he's not great at latte art, but he has fun. odile - took the manager position as a way to escape her stressful corporate office job. it's nice being part of something smaller and more tangible. nille - usually comes in bright and early to bake the pastries. she's started working towards getting her GED, too. bonnie - in their first year of middle school. whenever nille has a shift outside of school hours, they hang out in the shop, doing homework and playing DS games. euphrasie - owns the coffee shop. she puts any extra profit towards the underfunded local house of change, where she's a member of the board.
i'm working on some silly little posts for this au, but feel free to send asks too if there's anything you'd like to hear more about!
EDIT: changed nearly everyone's color schemes bc i found the Q&A where id5 assigned them favorite colors and it was going to bug me forever if i didn't change them to match, lmao
HI HELLO! For the past couple of months me and @childdevourer1 have been losing our minds over and au where Jay became the green ninja instead of Lloyd (we saw that one fun fact about how it was originally gonna be Jay and went fucking feral).
Anyways I made a comic about it. We may write a fic about it one day but for now it's just a lot of strung together ideas.
I don’t have enough room in the bed to lay out the last row across the bottom lol (if I decide to make this longer. With a border I think it’ll be plenty long already…)
Jordan Fabrics Beads pattern, with added sashing and corner stones. I love the teals and aquas.
Gotta make the setting triangles to square it up then I can add a border. Haven’t decided whether to piece a seminole or not. I’m thinking yes? Because I can alternate the 2.5” diamonds and the 1.5” diamonds and make it fancy.
But. I also gotta make it fun because I’m doing an identical one for my mum in reds on a cream background.
And yes, there are two different but very similar fabrics used as the beads, I love how the layout makes lines of slightly darker and slightly lighter diamonds.
