Did you know that you can dye lace with regular old tea? It's a great method if you'd like to apply an antique stain to your lace. Here are some of my lace mermaid scales for an upcoming cosplay! I wanted a champagne/taupe color as opposed to the stark white this lace came as. All you do is grab 8-10 tea bags, boil some water, let the "tea" steep for 15 minutes or so, and then soak the lace in the tea for a few hours!
