Easy-to-follow tips for new mentors
If you have already jumped into a teaching career, then you’re probably finding it a daunting task as you have a lot of responsibilities and tasks to complete. Being a new mentor, you may need some good tips and techniques that will help you manage your students and day-to-day classroom activities. Having good ideas can help you have a smooth start. Let’s review some of the effective techniques that make things easier for you.
1. Don’t use harsh words.
As you’re new to the teaching field, it’s quite challenging to understand the nature of each student. Don’t panic or use harsh words unnecessarily because it will create a bad impression in front of children. Initially, you have to focus on building a good relationship to explicitly define learning skills and goals positively. Connecting with your students helps you create an effective learning environment that eventually helps you achieve your goals.
2. Learn from experienced teachers.
There are many knowledgeable and experienced educators around your school. Observe and follow them to get a better idea of how to coordinate and manage students while discussing topics in the classroom. It’s a great opportunity to improve your skills and learn new techniques and patterns that are already established.

Furthermore, it allows teachers and educational institutes to promote and publish their notes on its website and get leads from learners.
3. Respect staff members and other educators.
Whether it’s teaching or any other field, respecting others is the priority. If you know the exact meaning of respect, then only you’ll be able to make your students understand the real value of respect. 4. Encourage students
Another useful strategy for new educators is to encourage students. Encouragement is the most important force in education. It helps lift pupils to make more efforts, learn deeply, and perform better in the classroom. By using encouraging words and actions, you can motivate children to be more productive and intellectual. As a result, learners will show more respect when they are encouraged and follow all your instructions and guidelines.
5. Stay Positive
Whether you’re a new teacher or an experienced one, it’s crucial to stay calm and positive. Generally, students learn from the way their teachers behave and perform in the classroom. So, stay positive to remain an inspiration to the learners because a positive attitude enhances children’s overall well-being and boosts their immune systems. As you are the main contributor to establishing self-esteem in students, their future depends on your kindness and positivity.
6. Set simple rules.
Classroom rules play a dominant role in managing students’ behavior in class. Teachers need to keep classroom rules simple so pupils can easily follow and obey them. Setting simple rules helps you create a safer learning environment for everyone. However, maintaining law and order in the classroom is always better than dangling punishments. This piece of advice for new mentors can save you from lots of stress.
The last line
If you follow the above-listed tips and advice, you will surely make your teaching path easier. All these tips are extremely helpful and bring creativity and efficiency to your profession. No doubt, new educators may experience confusion and stress as they take their first steps into teaching. However, self-confidence and self-reliance are the pillars that make your path successful. So, trust yourself and be ready to give your best!

President Donald Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick got burned badly by Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-Pa.) ― with a banana, no less.
It happened during a meeting of the House Appropriations Committee on Thursday, where the former stockbroker insisted the major effect of the president’s controversial tariff proposals would be teaching self-reliance to American businesses.

really . . . glinda did not AT ALL have even the faintest interest in baking if it meant that she'd have to touch . . . any kind of sticky , gooey substance . then again . she'd also never thought much of it before . EVERYTHING GLINDA HAD EVER NEEDED had always been prepared for her . it wasn't until recently that she'd discovered that perhaps that was not how it worked in this place . ( or she supposed : this was not how it worked for most people . )
❝ hm . well , i haven't yet decided , ❞ she admitted , tilted her head in thanks for the tea . ❝ i don't think i've ever seen my mumsie and pop-sicle in a kitchen for even a day of my life . ❞ usually , it was her ama clutch who she'd spot there . or one of the many , many maids . so it was only natural that she couldn't quite fathom the idea of cooking before you could toddle , glinda thought .
❝ . . . and . . . ❞ she paused , the start of a plan forming in her mind , ❝ you see , it would only be a weight on my conscience if i weren't any good at it . ❞ she paused , looking up beneath her eyelashes — doing her best impression of the picture of a forlorn and lost little thing . not that the worry wasn't at least a tiny bit true . ( or perhaps a lot true . ) glinda thought of elphie and her sentiments . that it was HARD for glinda to make any magic because things in her life had been EASY . then , briefly to madame morrible , who had done cast some kind of spell over her , surely , to have shaken glinda's self - confidence .
or , maybe THEY BOTH HAD .
❝ so , i think i would need a very good teacher to gather the courage to even remotely attempt AT LEAST . ❞
It was a little bit difficult, without having tasted the desired end product for himself, to be sure-- not to mention discrepancies in the local culinary style, and the fact that Jiaoqiu wasn't nearly as proficient of a baker as he was in cooking-- but with a bit of querying and a few sagely nods of his head he'd roughly approximated a recipe, or at least a process to work with.
The scent of blooming yeast filled the air as Jiaoqiu beat a few eggs into a bowl of flour with a pair of chopsticks, before kneading the whole mixture together, well-practiced motions continuing until the texture shifted, becoming smooth and silky as he folded in butter, shaped and dusted the resulting small circles with a bit of flour before draping a cloth over them so they could rise. These buns would be quite rich indeed-- they would pair very nicely with a honey-chili pepper glaze, he thought to himself, though whether his current client would appreciate his innovation, he couldn't say. The kitchen was just a little cooler than he'd like it to be, so he took a small furnace he'd purchased and ignited it, fanning lightly at the flames to lend a bit of warmth to the rising dough.
All the while, he was aware of the young woman's gaze upon him, studying his movements-- and perhaps the Foxian was showing off a little bit as well. He'd gotten quite familiar with his kitchen by now, and the many cooking utensils and tools that took up the counterspace ( for which he may or may not have spent the majority of his initial funds here-- all completely necessary purchases, of course ) , and so it was easy to make the whole process look quite effortless indeed.
Once it was all set to rest at last-- a process that would take another hour at least, let alone the baking time-- he brewed a pot of tea, sneaking in a few soothing herbs and fragrant spices among the leaves before pouring each of them a cup and taking a seat to wait. The question had him tilting his head, thinking for a moment.
"I learned to cook before I learned to walk," he said. "As for baking, that came a bit later, but I would say it may even be a little easier to learn, albeit less forgiving. It all comes down to following a few simple formulas. Once you know those by heart, they can then be modified to suit whatever the situation calls for."
He paused, ears twitching slightly, then a smile curled across his lips once more. "Why, would you like to learn?"
#✧ೃ❤⁀➷「 ♥ in character . 」#✧ೃ❤⁀➷「 ♥ closed . 」#firefcxian#firefcxian / o1#(teach her your ways o' great culinary master)#(glinda on her way towards self - reliance. or at least what she assumes that should look like.)#(and yknow maybe she'll get elphie and morrible's respect that way >:T and bamboozle fiyero with a treat or smthn)

25 Essential Principles for Black Conduct and Empowerment: A Garveyite Perspective
From a Garveyite perspective, Black people must uphold a code of conduct rooted in self-determination, unity, discipline, and economic independence to reclaim sovereignty and build a powerful Black world. Marcus Garvey emphasized that the liberation of Black people requires not just awareness but action, structure, and collective responsibility. Without a solid foundation of principles to guide conduct, Black people remain vulnerable to external control, disunity, and stagnation.
This analysis outlines 25 essential principles that Black people must adhere to for collective empowerment, ensuring that every aspect of life—from personal discipline to political strategy—aligns with Black self-reliance and Pan-African unity.
1. Prioritize Black Unity Over Petty Divisions
Black people must reject tribalism, nationality-based elitism, and class divisions that prevent global solidarity. Whether African, African American, Caribbean, or Afro-Latino, all Black people share a common struggle and destiny.
2. Be Loyal to Black Institutions, Not External Systems
Economic, educational, and political systems designed by non-Black entities often do not serve Black interests. Black people must build, support, and defend their own institutions to ensure self-governance.
3. Maintain Economic Discipline and Group Economics
Black people must spend, circulate, and invest money within their own communities rather than enriching non-Black businesses that do not support Black liberation. Wealth must serve the collective, not just the individual.
4. Reject Begging and Dependency
Garveyism teaches that self-reliance is the key to sovereignty. Seeking validation, reparations without self-building, or constant dependency on non-Black systems keeps Black people weak. We must create solutions, not wait for handouts.
5. Strengthen the Black Family Unit
A strong Black nation starts with strong families. Fatherhood, motherhood, and communal responsibility must be honoured. The intentional breakdown of the Black family is a tool of oppression, and reversing it is a revolutionary act.
6. Guard Black Cultural Identity Fiercely
Black culture must be protected from dilution, appropriation, and distortion. The global media industry manipulates Black culture for profit while degrading its revolutionary potential. Black people must reclaim their spiritual, artistic, and historical identities.
7. Reject Hyper-Consumerism and Materialism
Black empowerment is not measured by luxury brands, flashy lifestyles, or European standards of success. True power comes from ownership, land, and industry—not consumer status.
8. Develop Financial Literacy and Generational Wealth
Black people must prioritize financial education, investments, land ownership, and cooperative economics over short-term spending habits. Financial discipline determines power.
9. Master Self-Defense and Security
Black communities must be physically and strategically protected. Knowledge of self-defense, martial arts, and security strategies is essential to prevent exploitation, gentrification, and violence against Black people.
10. Respect and Elevate Black Women
Black women have always been at the forefront of liberation struggles. They must be honoured, protected, and empowered, while rejecting both misogyny and feminism that devalues traditional African family structures.
11. Reject White Validation and Seek Black Excellence
Seeking approval from white institutions, corporations, or governments weakens self-worth. Excellence must be defined on Black terms, not Western standards.
12. Eliminate Self-Hatred and Colourism
Black people must dismantle anti-Black programming, including colourism, texturism, and Eurocentric beauty standards. Loving Blackness is a revolutionary act.
13. Be Politically Aware but Not Emotionally Manipulated
Black people must engage in politics with strategic awareness, rather than blind emotional allegiance to parties that do not serve Black interests. Power is taken, not asked for.
14. Prioritize African Spirituality and Indigenous Practices
African spiritual systems have been demonized and replaced with religious systems that pacify Black resistance. Black people must reclaim ancestral knowledge and reject systems that promote blind obedience over empowerment.
15. Train Black Youth for Leadership and Legacy
Black children must be educated in liberation philosophy, economic empowerment, and self-discipline from an early age. The next generation must be trained, not just inspired.
16. Reject Degenerative Media and Narratives
Music, television, and films that promote self-destruction, hypersexuality, and violence against Black people must be rejected. Media that elevates, educates, and empowers Black minds must be supported.
17. Demand Accountability from Leaders
Black leaders—whether political, religious, or social—must be held to strict ethical and strategic standards. Personality cults and blind allegiance lead to betrayal and stagnation.
18. Build Pan-African Alliances Instead of Isolating Movements
No single Black community or nation can thrive alone. Black people worldwide must work together to secure land, resources, and industries.
19. Promote Self-Discipline and Mental Strength
A weak and undisciplined mind is easily controlled. Black people must master self-discipline in thought, habits, and actions to create a powerful global presence.
20. Reclaim the Warrior Spirit of Our Ancestors
African history is filled with warriors, revolutionaries, and empires that resisted colonization and slavery. Black people must embrace the warrior spirit rather than glorifying passivity.
21. Master Technology and Control the Digital Space
The future is digital, and Black people must own, develop, and master technology rather than being just consumers. Controlling media, cybersecurity, and AI is critical for sovereignty.
22. Protect and Defend Black Land and Resources
Black communities and nations must protect their land, agriculture, water sources, and raw materials from foreign control. Land ownership equals power.
23. Reject Integration as the Ultimate Goal
Integration into white society is not liberation. The goal must be nation-building, sovereignty, and Black self-governance, not assimilation.
24. Reject Criminality and Sabotage from Within
Internal destruction—whether through gang violence, betrayal, or corruption—keeps Black people weak. Code of conduct, integrity, and accountability must be upheld.
25. Make Black Consciousness and Excellence the New Standard
Mediocrity, victimhood, and aimless entertainment must be replaced with a culture of Black excellence, Pan-Africanism, and mastery of knowledge and power.
Conclusion: The Path to Black Sovereignty Is Discipline, Strategy, and Unity
From a Garveyite perspective, the liberation of Black people is not a dream but a responsibility. Without a strict code of conduct, discipline, and self-determination, Black people will remain vulnerable to exploitation, division, and external control.
Marcus Garvey built the largest Black organization in history because he understood that power comes from order, strategy, and a clear set of guiding principles. These 25 rules serve as a modern framework for achieving Black sovereignty, economic independence, and Pan-African unity.
The question is: Will we have the discipline to follow them?

the reliance of college students on gen ai thing is particularly crazy to me as a college writing instructor whos also about to finish an educational psychology certificate because like one huge thing ive learned in my classes is that the american college system is pretty dogshit at teaching students when it comes both to content mastery and also preparing them for the workforce. like these kids are graduating college and going into jobs that they have their degrees in and dont know how to thrive in the workforce and Also dont really know much about the thing they got their degree in. and theres a lot of reasons for that that i could go over in depth but i'll spare yall
BUT the thing that college is like the most decent at is changing the way people think about knowledge itself. further education (high school to undergrad to graduate school) is a huge factor in what develops your epistemological beliefs (epistemology being the nature and theories of knowledge). like your epistemology does naturally change as you get older, but with further education you learn that knowledge itself is complex, ever changing, and interrelated, meaning you inherently trust "facts" less and actually perform critical thinking when presented with new information
but,,,,,, with that new study microsoft did on generative ai showing that usage of gen ai in the workplace can lead to the degradation of independent problem solving skills and that people who trust gen ai actively use less critical thinking to do tasks,,, and that giving yourself fewer opportunities for critical thinking degrades your ability to think critically at all even when it comes to important tasks,,,
like. all these students are using gen ai and sometimes their classes are actively encouraging them to use gen ai and i fear were losing like the one big thing american undergrad is good for bc lets be real its pretty dogshit at everything else
and considering the nature of the topic:

Redeeming the Law of Attraction: A Believer's Guide to Manifestation in Alignment with God
I receive a lot of questions from you guys regarding how to reconcile the LOA and your faith at the same time. Or whether that's even possible. I fully agree that as a Believer, it can be confusing to navigate the concept of the Law of Attraction (LOA), especially given how closely it mirrors some Biblical principles, yet how deeply it has been distorted by New Age ideologies. While many LOA teachings emphasize personal power, manifestation, and relying on "raising your vibration," the Bible teaches us that all good things come from God (James 1:17) and that He alone is the true source of our abundance, protection, and fulfillment. So how do we reconcile this principle with our faith without veering into pride or idolatry? My opinion is that the answer lies in understanding LOA as a created principle that's part of God's divine order and not a substitute for God Himself.
1. God Is the Source, Not Us
Deuteronomy 8:17–18 gives us a direct warning against self-idolatry: “You may say to yourself, ‘My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.’ But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth.” The core issue with many LOA teachings is the belief that we can bring things to pass through our own will or energy, independent of divine grace. But Scripture reminds us that every ability, every blessing, and every outcome we achieve ultimately comes from God.
When we remove God from the equation, we risk elevating ourselves to the place of the Creator. This is the same pride that led to the fall of Lucifer and the rebellion of Israel. We see it played out in the consequences of Israel's disobedience and reliance on their own understanding, leading to exile and suffering (Isaiah 30:1–2; Hosea 4:6).
2. Pride Destroys, Alignment Protects
Manifestation without humility is a spiritual trap. The more we insist on controlling outcomes, the further we drift from the protection that comes through surrender to God. Proverbs 16:18 says, “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.” Even when we are pursuing good things, if we do so without seeking God, we step out of alignment with His covering.
In the New Age framework, the LOA often becomes a form of self-worship. But for the Believer, true manifestation is not about making ourselves gods, but about aligning with the will and timing of the one true God. The difference is critical. God’s protection, insight, and timing are what shield us from attracting things that may look good but ultimately destroy us.
3. We Are Co-Creators, Not Sovereigns
The Bible tells us in Psalm 82:6, “You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High.” This doesn’t mean we are divine in the same sense as God, but that we are made in His image (Genesis 1:26–27), given creative power through our words, thoughts, and actions. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue,” and Jesus Himself said, “Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24).
We are, in a sense, spiritual creators—but under divine authority. The moment we see ourselves as sovereign over our lives without God’s governance, we step into dangerous territory. We may manifest what we think we want, but without discernment, we often call in things rooted in trauma, pride, lust, or broken ambition.
4. The LOA Is Real, but Fulfillment Comes from God
We should not deny that there is truth to the Law of Attraction. Our thoughts, emotions, and spoken words have power. But that doesn’t mean we are the ultimate power. God created the universe to operate on spiritual principles: sowing and reaping (Galatians 6:7), asking and receiving (Matthew 7:7), faith and expectation (Hebrews 11:1).
Non-believers can and do use these principles to gain success. But without God’s direction, success can become a snare. People can attract toxic relationships, wealth that isolates, or fame that destroys. Only the Lord gives true fulfillment. Proverbs 10:22 reminds us, “The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.”
5. Faith = Surrender + Expectation
Where LOA emphasizes belief in self, biblical faith emphasizes belief in God. Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” This isn’t a mere transaction; it’s also a transformation. As we align our heart with God, He plants His desires in us, but also delights in giving us the things we've longed for that are for our good.
Prayer and faith are not passive, they are bold, expectant, and active. Yet, they are also surrendered. We ask in full belief (James 1:6), but trust that if something doesn’t manifest, God has something better, or is protecting us from something we cannot yet understand. Romans 8:28 assures us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Final Reflection: Manifestation Under Lordship
Ultimately, the Law of Attraction is not a rival to God; it is simply one of the many principles He put in place to govern His creation. Like gravity, it works. But like any tool, it can be used righteously or destructively.
When we manifest under God’s Lordship:
We invite the Holy Spirit to shape our desires.
We allow God to filter our intentions.
We steward our thoughts, words, and energy in a way that honors Him.
We relinquish the outcome to His perfect will (to prosper us and not harm us, to give us hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11).
We are not victims of randomness, nor are we gods unto ourselves. We are image-bearers of the Creator invited to co-create with Him in trust, humility, and alignment.
So yes, believe. Visualize. Speak life. Walk in expectation. But do it all from a place of surrender, knowing that the One who holds the universe also holds you, and He has the final say and that is a privilege for you! Because in the same way a loving parent would never allowed their children to blindly get harmful things due to lack of understanding, neither does He want us to suffer because we aren't fully aware of the negative outcomes that some of our selfish manifestations may carry with them. God is not an authoritarian figure, but a protective and loving one. Remember that.

I, for one, would love to hear about the janitor au ships you have in mind
I am a chronic multishipper so please lay them all on me
my biggest ship plans for this au are with kalim, leona, and malleus.
kalim and the janitor is precious to me bc I love their relationship in the au where the janitor helps pick up and teach kalim about how to actually experience life and responsibilities. the janitor brings out the best in kalim and helps him grow and supports him! and kalim offers a positivity that the janitor needs. janitor would definitely lower their guard around him and actually vent to him about their feelings and worries. they both learn to support each other very well and just aaaa!!!! the possibilities.
Leona and the janitor is also a good ship. they're both very comfortable with each other and leona, having not overblotted and got to win the spelldrive tournament, is honestly probably better off then in canon. his lack of drive and general gloominess is lessened in the au (still there but not as bad, easier to deal). he respects the janitor and also probably appreciates how tesponsible and mellow potentially older yuu is. leona is also a lowkey mother hen and I could see the two warming up to each other via gifts bc leonas love language is definitely giving time and gifts nobody can change my mind on this. janitor would also appreciate having someone else that knows how it feels to wrangle a bunch of younger students around, someone who is actually self reliant and mature.
NOW MALLEUS, oh God malleus. this relationship is potentially the... most convoluted and potentially unhealthy of the group. they both have a deep attachment to the other and even if the relationship stays purely platonic, they both aren't their best together. especially early on i can imagine them both indulging the other in some pretty harmful over reliance and having attachment issues if not dealt with. NOT TO SAY THEIR RELATIONSHIP AND FRIENDSHIP IS BAD it's just there's a lot going on between the two of them. theirs a lot of positive things about them!!! they both care for each other very much and I can imagine they'd bend over backwards for the other. they have a very selfish love but its genuine and sweet when its not potentially overblot worthy.
now for best friends, definitely rook. rook is enough of a pain in the ass that he would stick to the janitor early on and his personality is a good balance for the janitor. also I like the idea of the janitor being partially """""socially adopted"""""" by vil. the pomefiore has a sewing machine for goodness sake, of course the janitor is going to use it as much as possible! lol

The 9th House and In-laws
The 9th House is associated with your in-laws. This house can describe your in-laws' personalities, some of the family dynamic, and your overall relationship with them. *Due to the 10th House's association with authority and parents' influence some may look at this House to reference in-laws as well.
Aries: Marrying into a highly competitive family, maybe a sports family, or maybe a military family. Passion, leadership, confidence, and self-focus may somehow be themes in the dynamics or personalities of in-laws. Aries is associated with separation and independence; this could indicate a more distant relationship to in-laws or even in a more literal sense with the in-laws being separated. Anger and arguments may be commonly caused by in-laws. In-laws could also be highly enthusiastic and encourage fun, assertion, risk, and being enterprising in your marriage or as a family unit.
Taurus: Marrying into a predictable, routine, unmoving or deeply rooted, maybe controlling family. In-laws may be dependable, huge foodies or materialistic, potentially may spoil their family, could be an artistic family, or a down-to-earth one. With Taurus's association with security this may mean they give their daughter/son in-law plenty of reassurance and stability OR they could see the new daughter/son as a threat as well. May be slow to form a relationship with. The in-laws will strive for peace and contentment in their family.
Gemini: Marrying into a family that highly values intellect and has high energy. Some in-laws could be flexible and others unstable. A highly communicative and social family. In-laws may be open-minded, easygoing, but potentially opinionated, may love debate or wild discussions, could seem detached as well. May judge their daughter/son in-law by their field of study, social standing, and how they hold themselves in conversations. Could have a lot to share and teach with their family. Some in-laws may be highly supportive and others two-faced, gossipers, and tricky.
Cancer: Marrying into a family that may have a great focus on family loyalty and tradition. In-laws could be very protective over their children and may not always be welcoming to spouses. Some could also be on the other end of the spectrum - highly understanding and kind to a son/daughter in-law. An in-law could be highly intuitive and frequently shares their wisdom. This family can have attachment issues. In-laws could be manipulative and possessive. This can also be a family one may easily be able to get close to, in-laws who embrace a spouse as one of their own. May be the type to show favoritism towards a daughter/son in-law.
Leo: Marrying into a proud family that focuses on honor, duty, and success. Can be warm, affectionate, and very generous in-laws. These in-laws may go out of their way to impress a spouse. But they can also be overbearing and arrogant behind their shinning gold. One in-law could stand out by playing the role of queen/king of the family. Can also be a lively, playful, and entertaining family. The married couple may feel as if they have to put on a performance when around the in-laws. Some may want to rebel. Some may fit in with the passionate and driven parent(s).
Virgo: Marrying into a hard-working, practical, intellectual, and potentially critical family. These in-laws may have high standards for their son/daughter in-law. May be very helpful and supportive in-laws who take on extra tasks, chores, and responsibilities for the couple. Could be rigid, potentially often complainers, and judgmental. These in-laws may try to contribute to the married couple's finances or health often in some way. May not be the best at sharing emotions and reassurance. In-laws appreciate a cooperative daughter/son in-law and may have a family dynamic that is all about striking a balance between teamwork, everyone contributing, and self-reliance.
Libra: Marrying into a family that has a very harmonious dynamic OR may seem like they do at first. There is pressure in the family one is marrying into to keep the peace. Maybe this family brushes issues under the rug, doesn't get too deep or passionate in their dynamics, or constantly pushes the importance of tact, manners, and grace. They could be kind, easygoing, and supportive in-laws but also potentially vain, shallow, and easily jealous. The individual with this placement may try hard to please their in-laws or the family they are marrying into. It is important for them to set healthy and realistic boundaries, and some may need to learn to stand up to their in-laws with their spouse. This can also indicate in-laws who have good judgment, admire their child's relationship, and help the couple with networking or even originally introduced the married couple to each other!
Scorpio: Marrying into an intense and passionate family. Potentially a highly competitive and combative family. This family may have many secrets, or many things might not be shared and discovered until long after the wedding and being part of the other family. Family loyalty may be important along with power and control dynamics. These in-laws could be overprotective, manipulative, and vindictive. But they could also be compassionate, motivating, intuitive, and filled with useful insight. Their protective nature could encompass their daughter/son in-law. But these in-laws may likely struggle with letting go of control and involvement. This placement can also indicate a deep, empowering, or transformative relationship with one's in-laws.
Sagittarius: Marrying into a gregarious, fun-loving, zealous, and active family. In-laws may give their adult child and their spouse a lot of space and freedom. Could also be unreliable, selfish, irresponsible, and dishonest in-laws. An in-law could also be boastful and dogmatic. They may not accept a son/daughter in-law unless they agree with their opinions or beliefs fully. In-laws could also be the type who refuse to acknowledge the marriage or relationship status, treating the son/daughter in-law always like a "stranger". Because Sagittarius is associated with luck, maybe a spouse has hit the jackpot and their in-laws could be very giving, open-minded, and friendly. In-laws may live far away or be part of a very different culture than the daughter/son in-law. Whether there is a good or bad relationship, the family dynamic is likely flexible, fast paced in some way, or maybe even exciting or wild.
Capricorn: Marrying into a strict, traditional, ambitious, practical, or potentially a well-known family. Reputation and work ethic may be important to the in-laws. These in-laws can also be reliable, patient, chill, and they watch out for their children, including the son/daughter in-law. These in-laws could be highly judgmental, negative, and rigid. Some may want to rebel against their in-laws or question their authority and judgment. Trust issues can be a big deal in the dynamic somehow. The in-laws could be workaholics or highly materialistic or even greedy and unexpectedly manipulative. Capricorn is associated with integrity, these in-laws may approach their married children with full trust and respect, at least at first. These in-laws could also help their son/daughter in-law with getting a job or career.
Aquarius: Marrying into an unconventional family or family dynamic. There are many ways the in-laws could be unique depending on your society. Maybe there are untraditional roles, large age differences, they could have a free-spirited lifestyle, are politicians, the list could go on. These in-laws could be separated, divorced, or not married at all. The in-laws could also be highly detached or estranged from the couple. These in-laws can also be conversationalist, highly value intellect, love a good debate, embrace quirks, and be open-minded or very friendly. There can also be a hypocritical, opinionated, or controlling nature. These in-laws could also be highly unpredictable and unreliable. In healthy and idealistic dynamics they can make a daughter/son in-law feel accepted, be a great teacher, and inspire the couple or individual.
Pisces: Marrying into a sensitive, emotional, maybe artistic, or maybe a touchy-feely family. This family and/or the in-laws may be easy to get along with at first, making a daughter/son in-law feel at home or at ease. But these in-laws can also be manipulative, elusive, and volatile. There can be an unstable and always changing feel to the family dynamics. An in-law or both parents may be highly intuitive and receptive to the married couple's relationship. A son/daughter in-law may conform to their in-laws beliefs and wishes or be highly sensitive to their wants OR the in-laws themselves may be quick to try to please or pacify a son/daughter in-law. Boundaries can easily be crossed in the dynamic. There can be a great opportunity for closeness, but this can come with plenty of pros and cons. Spiritual or religious beliefs may be a hot topic somehow. With Pisces strong association to healing, an in-law could become the mom this individual always wanted, or the daughter/son in-law could be the daughter/son the in-law always wanted. Or the individual may act as the family's therapist.

Excerpts:
"The convenience of instant answers that LLMs provide can encourage passive consumption of information, which may lead to superficial engagement, weakened critical thinking skills, less deep understanding of the materials, and less long-term memory formation [8]. The reduced level of cognitive engagement could also contribute to a decrease in decision-making skills and in turn, foster habits of procrastination and "laziness" in both students and educators [13].
Additionally, due to the instant availability of the response to almost any question, LLMs can possibly make a learning process feel effortless, and prevent users from attempting any independent problem solving. By simplifying the process of obtaining answers, LLMs could decrease student motivation to perform independent research and generate solutions [15]. Lack of mental stimulation could lead to a decrease in cognitive development and negatively impact memory [15]. The use of LLMs can lead to fewer opportunities for direct human-to-human interaction or social learning, which plays a pivotal role in learning and memory formation [16].
Collaborative learning as well as discussions with other peers, colleagues, teachers are critical for the comprehension and retention of learning materials. With the use of LLMs for learning also come privacy and security issues, as well as plagiarism concerns (7]. Yang et al. [17] conducted a study with high school students in a programming course. The experimental group used ChatGPT to assist with learning programming, while the control group was only exposed to traditional teaching methods. The results showed that the experimental group had lower flow experience, self-efficacy, and learning performance compared to the control group.
Academic self-efficacy, a student's belief in their "ability to effectively plan, organize, and execute academic tasks"
', also contributes to how LLMs are used for learning [18]. Students with
low self-efficacy are more inclined to rely on Al, especially when influenced by academic stress
[18]. This leads students to prioritize immediate Al solutions over the development of cognitive and creative skills. Similarly, students with lower confidence in their writing skills, lower
"self-efficacy for writing" (SEWS), tended to use ChatGPT more extensively, while higher-efficacy students were more selective in Al reliance [19]. We refer the reader to the meta-analysis [20] on the effect of ChatGPT on students' learning performance, learning perception, and higher-order thinking."
"Recent empirical studies reveal concerning patterns in how LLM-powered conversational search systems exacerbate selective exposure compared to conventional search methods. Participants engaged in more biased information querying with LLM-powered conversational search, and an opinionated LLM reinforcing their views exacerbated this bias [63]. This occurs because LLMS are in essence "next token predictors" that optimize for most probable outputs, and thus can potentially be more inclined to provide consonant information than traditional information system algorithms [63]. The conversational nature of LLM interactions compounds this effect, as users can engage in multi-turn conversations that progressively narrow their information exposure. In LLM systems, the synthesis of information from multiple sources may appear to provide diverse perspectives but can actually reinforce existing biases through algorithmic selection and presentation mechanisms.
The implications for educational environments are particularly significant, as echo chambers can fundamentally compromise the development of critical thinking skills that form the foundation of quality academic discourse. When students rely on search systems or language models that systematically filter information to align with their existing viewpoints, they might miss opportunities to engage with challenging perspectives that would strengthen their analytical capabilities and broaden their intellectual horizons. Furthermore, the sophisticated nature of these algorithmic biases means that a lot of users often remain unaware of the information gaps in their research, leading to overconfident conclusions based on incomplete evidence. This creates a cascade effect where poorly informed arguments become normalized in academic and other settings, ultimately degrading the standards of scholarly debate and undermining the educational mission of fostering independent, evidence-based reasoning."
"In summary, the Brain-only group's connectivity suggests a state of increased internal coordination, engaging memory and creative thinking (manifested as theta and delta coherence across cortical regions). The Engine group, while still cognitively active, showed a tendency toward more focal connectivity associated with handling external information (e.g. beta band links to visual-parietal areas) and comparatively less activation of the brain's long-range memory circuits. These findings are in line with literature: tasks requiring internal memory amplify low-frequency brain synchrony in frontoparietal networks [77], whereas outsourcing information (via internet search) can reduce the load on these networks and alter attentional dynamics. Notably, prior studies have found that practicing internet search can reduce activation in memory-related brain areas [831, which dovetails with our observation of weaker connectivity in those regions for Search Engine group. Conversely, the richer connectivity of Brain-only group may reflect a cognitive state akin to that of high performers in creative or memory tasks, for instance, high creativity has been associated with increased fronto-occipital theta connectivity and intra-hemispheric synchronization in frontal-temporal circuits [81], patterns we see echoed in the Brain-only condition."
"This correlation between neural connectivity and behavioral quoting failure in LLM group's participants offers evidence that:
1. Early Al reliance may result in shallow encoding.
LLM group's poor recall and incorrect quoting is a possible indicator that their earlier essays were not internally integrated, likely due to outsourced cognitive processing to the LLM.
2. Withholding LLM tools during early stages might support memory formation.
Brain-only group's stronger behavioral recall, supported by more robust EEG connectivity, suggests that initial unaided effort promoted durable memory traces, enabling more effective reactivation even when LLM tools were introduced later.
Metacognitive engagement is higher in the Brain-to-LLM group.
Brain-only group might have mentally compared their past unaided efforts with tool-generated suggestions (as supported by their comments during the interviews), engaging in self-reflection and elaborative rehearsal, a process linked to executive control and semantic integration, as seen in their EEG profile.
The significant gap in quoting accuracy between reassigned LLM and Brain-only groups was not merely a behavioral artifact; it is mirrored in the structure and strength of their neural connectivity. The LLM-to-Brain group's early dependence on LLM tools appeared to have impaired long-term semantic retention and contextual memory, limiting their ability to reconstruct content without assistance. In contrast, Brain-to-LLM participants could leverage tools more strategically, resulting in stronger performance and more cohesive neural signatures."
