Warning's: Briefly fighting a dragon I suppose, being wounded.

First of all..how does one get into such a situation. You had a genius idea of going to defeat a dragon with no crew. As you approached the rampaging wyvern wreaking havoc with your weapon it growled out angrily, turning to you with a screech as it charged. You dodge out of the way narrowly, swinging at the large creature, managing to only slash it's leg. The wyvern roars in anger, fwipping around quickly-..It caused you to be wacked by it's long tail. A yelp left you as you fell back, weapon clattering away. As you laid on the ground your eyes started fluttering closed..The last thing you saw was the wyvern being subdued by a soft white and purple spell.

..Hours, days or even weeks later you awoke inside your husbands home. A tall ceiling and glistening appearance, with a soft groan a damp feeling on your cheek. "Starlight, your choice was rather foolish." A smooth, honey-like voice said in your ear.

A hiss left you as ointment was applied to your stinging head. "Wh.." A confused hum left you, only met with a husky chuckle from Aaravos. "You hurt yourself, my dear..seriously. Why attempt to fight a dragon my darling." The startouched elf sighed. with a soft groan you attempted to sit up. "It was..hurting people. I wanted to help..-" You were sharply cut off. "And you were hurt in kind. Stars, your foolish mortal mind is so..utterly, empathetic." He sighed out, caressing your face gently with one hand, dabbing your wound with a damp cloth on the other. "To me you're truly fragile." Aaravos mumbled, kissing your head..then softy tugged at a strand of your hair.

"Use your glorious brain, hm?" He said softly, an affectionate manner taking him over as he cared for your wounds. Flustered as you were doted on, you glance up at him. "Should I have let it happen?.." "Yes." You were answered almost instantly, he looked a bit serious. "You should let me handle such things, my brightest star. Call for me, keep yourself bundled away and safe If I am not there." He fretted ever so slightly, pressing his forehead to yours. "I could never imagine losing you, my dear."

listen, aaravos is SOOO attentive. he probably has your cycle memorized better than YOU. he's always prepared for when you're on your period, and will approach you about it a few days before it starts

aaravos is amazing when your on your period as he never undermines you, and while he doesn't relate to your experience he definitely sympathizes with you and supports you any way he can

his powers come in handy a lot, and whenever your having bad cramps he can very easily heat up his hands or cool them down and become your own personal heating/cooling pad. he also gives wonderful massages and can also attempt spells/potions that may work as painkillers for you

aaravos is a FANTASTIC cuddler, he's 6,9 ft of pure warmth and loves holding you when you're on your period. if you're feeling emotional or sad in general aaravos is genuinely always willing to comfort you, as he hates seeing you in distress

speaking of when you're annoyed, if you are especially irritable on your period, aaravos takes it surprisingly well. if you snap at him he'll just brush it off or roll his eyes, he knows your feeling shitty and that you'll feel bad later. he might get a little pouty though, and will be clingy when you two are trying to sleep

if you get headaches on your period aaravos is more than willing to accommodate you. he'll gently cup your face, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead before getting a damp towel to lay across your eyes

as much as you want to rot in bed while you're on your period, aaravos will encourage you to be at least a little active. he might take you for calming walks where you won't run into others, or even just slow dance with you in the comfort of your own home while lofty music plays in the background

aaravos will run lavish baths for you om your period with bubbles and fancy soaps and anything your heart desires. he really does love pampering you at heart and will gladly sit at the edge of the tub and wash your hair or massage your scalp while you bathe and relax

Totally forgot to post this for WIP Wednesday, but here's some fluff I'm finally working on

It didn’t take them long to reach the lodge. Only a day on horseback, same for Rayla’s parents, who rode alongside them on the Shadowpaws they’d traveled to Katolis on.

Callum had kept his arms tight around Rayla’s waist the entire time, his hold firm and reassuring. As if he hadn’t already made it perfectly clear to everyone that she was his. But Rayla didn’t mind. In fact, she found comfort in the way he held her, a subtle reminder of how safe and protected she felt in his arms.

As the sun set and evening fell, they arrived. The colored lamps draping from the eaves were yet to be lit for the season, casting the lodge in a quiet, expectant shadow. Callum squeezed her gently, leaning in closer as he nuzzled against the side of her head.

“We’re here,” he murmured softly, his breath warm against her skin.

A small smile tugged at Rayla’s lips. “I guess we are.”

Ezran and Soren dismounted shortly after, walking up to the lodge doors to unlock them. Rayla and Callum followed, sliding off their horse. Rayla’s gaze wandered, taking in the sight of the lodge. She’d never seen it in the wintertime, when it was meant to be used.

Callum came up beside her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. She leaned into him instinctively, her arm slipping around his waist as they watched the others ahead. With a grand, over-the-top gesture, Soren flung the doors open, and Rayla rolled her eyes at him playfully.

They stepped inside, the warm interior of the lodge greeting them. Corvus, meanwhile, took the mounts to the stables, leaving Barius already hard at work in the kitchen. Soren hefted their bags into the lodge, hauling them up the stairs to the rooms. Corvus soon joined him, having returned after securing the horses.

Janai, Amaya, and Gren would arrive in a few days from Lux Aurea, still busy with the rebuilding efforts there. For now, it was just the small group settling in for the night.

Rayla bent down to grab one of her bags, but Callum was quicker. He effortlessly picked it up, slinging it over his shoulder before bending down to grab another of her bags.

She blinked at him, a little surprised. “You don’t have to carry all of them.”

Callum just smirked, his eyes glinting with mischief as he hefted the bags. “I know,” he said with a cheeky grin, leaning in to press a quick kiss to her cheek before heading upstairs

Ngl, I think my only real wish for the series is that at some point Aaravos and Stella have some sort of bonding moment.

The only two Startouch creatures that we really see on screen, one of which is a jailed war criminal and the other a tiny thieving gremlin.

What would be more adorable to see than our beloved touch starved elf snuggling with a cheeky little cuddle monkey? And I mean, just imagine all the mischief they could get into with each other.

I can't think of too many things worse for a guy who wears four shirts at once than to have them all taken off while he's badly hurt and manacled to the wall, and then be tickled half to death all night long, on his birthday.

In The Shadow of Betrayal - Chapter Eighteen

Rayla gasped, tears falling from the corners of her eyes as Lucinda finished stitching her arm. Callum gently reached out, brushing the wetness from her face. 

“It’s over now, Rayla,” he said quietly. “You did really well.”

She nodded, moving to sit up. “Let’s go find Ez and Calypso, see what they learned–”

“No!” Callum said, gently pushing her back onto the bed. “Stay right there while I talk to Lucida. Last thing we need is you breaking the stitches again, okay?”

She grumbled, falling back against the pillows, grunting slightly in pain. “So fussy.”

“You’re welcome,” Callum said, smirking. “We both know you’d be lost without me.”

“Shove off, dummy,” Rayla said, rolling her eyes.

He did, walking over to where Lucinda was washing the remaining blood from her hands and tools. 

She turned to him as she finished at the sink, holding his scarf out, freshly washed. 

“O-oh,” Callum said, taking the scarf gratefully. “Thank you, I… when did you have the time to do that?”

She winked at him, taking a seat at a small desk and motioning him to the chair opposite. “I’m a mother who works full time, young man. I have my ways.”

Callum nodded, sitting opposite her. 

“Now, the advice is similar to what her previous doctor recommended,” Lucinda said, scribbling on a piece of paper. “No strenuous activity, as much rest as possible - actually this time-” Callum laughed nervously.

“I’ll try to keep her from overdoing it,” he said.

“Keep the wound dry and change the bandages two or three times a day. I’ll give you some herbs that should keep it decently free from infection but you’ll need to be careful if you intend to keep moving,” Lucinda said, passing the paper over to Callum along with a bag full of bandages and a pouch of herbs.

“Thank you so much,” Callum said, hugging the bag to his chest. “I… don’t know what I’d do if she… d–” he choked, looking down, “... got really hurt.”

“Cry in a corner and mope around doing nothing productive if I know anything about you,” Rayla offered from the other side of the room.

Callum laughed wetly, brushing tears from his eyes. “Something like that, yeah.”

Lucinda smiled, patting his hand gently. “It’s nice to see such a lovely young man taking good care of his partner. And they say chivalry is dead!” She laughed.

“Oh, uh– we’re not… that, actually.” Callum stuttered, his face going red. 

Lucinda paused. “You’re not?”

He shook his head, mortified. 

“Well, you never know,” Lucinda said, slapping him jovially on the back. “Love hits you when you least expect it. You’d make a lovely couple.”

Rayla snorted from the cot, enjoying Callum’s embarrassment, though her cheeks were similarly flushed. 

“Thanks,” Callum mumbled, unsure how to respond. He stood, pulling a pouch from his bag. “How much do we owe you for today?” he asked. 

Lucinda shook her head. “No charge. I’m always happy to help anyone in need. Hold on to your money, I’m sure it’s scarce, especially at the moment.”

Callum shook his head forcefully. “No, please take something. I– we–” he sighed, thinking of the incredible privilege his position afforded him. “Seriously. We have… more than enough.”

Lucinda sighed, taking the pouch he offered her. “If you insist, I suppose… where do you come from? Most folks around here know to avoid the mountains this time of year.”

Callum hesitated, glancing at Rayla. “... east,” he said lamely. “Near the capital.”

“Nobles, then!” Lucinda said. “I thought I recognised that pattern on your scarf.”

“Ah, yes,” Callum said. “Please, just…. don’t tell anyone.”

Lucinda nodded, her eyes sparkling. “My lips are sealed.”

Callum helped Rayla sit up, pulling a sling over her head and carefully nestling her arm in it. 

Rayla stood up, wobbling slightly on unsteady feet and leaning against Callum’s side, his arm gently resting around her waist. 

Rayla turned to face Lucinda. “Thank you so much.”

“It was my pleasure,” Lucinda said, smiling warmly. “And a little advice, from one woman to another: life’s too short for waiting around.”

“I… thank you,” Rayla said, flushing and feeling Callum doing the same beside her. “I’ll… keep that in mind.”
