he spends his free time mainly watching starting drama whatever the hell others are doing

Tabletop Trick or Treat!!!!!

I'll go with Treat on this one, which means...

A game on my wish-list, to either buy, read or play.

Let's begin with Void 1680AM for this one. I was playing with a similar idea (for a short story, not a TTRPG) for a while, and I love the idea of a game that helps you create a playlist as you play through it. The library of callers is also an incredibly neat idea.

You play as a radio DJ broadcasting your show into the void, receiving calls and playing songs, all guided by a deck of cards. You can even have your show broadcast on AM/YouTube, if you so choose!

This one has won awards for good reason, and the only reason I haven't played it yet is that I already have a substantial backlog of games to play.
