Sunstorm has been lingering in my brain aaannnd now theyve escaped containment sjfnskvnd

bit of lore rant under cut

So as relative standard, Sunstorm is a clone of Starscream made by Shockwave. They were presented to TC and Warp as a replacement for Star (Starscream gets rekt and peeps think he's ded for a while), made to be the idealized, perfect weapon. Shockwave had created them really as his beta test for his project of cultivating the next evolution of Cybertronians. He viewed Sunny as a partial success, given that their radioactive spark became an apparent problem quite quickly. Shockwave was still satisfied with their skill, resilience, and behavioral programming. Even when they would occasionally spout some questionable nonsense about Primus when their radiation got a bit high, it was irrelevant and an easily solved problem to Shockwave. Plus, the ridiculous energy output Sunstorm was capable of was a valuable resource to be used as a source of power for the citadel. Saved on quite a bit of energon that way lol. Speaking of energon, they rlly had to be careful when fueling of making sure their radiation was a safe level before hand so they didnt combust lol. If they're optics are red, then that's an easy indicator that they chillin.

Sunstorm very often will "translate" Shockwave to people. Insisting that Shockwave cares in his own way, and that he has the best intentions. Shockwave did kinda programmed em to be specifically loyal to him tho-- Sunstorm very much does not understand why Shockwave is imprisoned later.

They also be plagued by visions from the gods due to their heightened energy signature. Primus and Unicron sound the same to them. Unicron of course took advantage of that and starts rlly getting in their brain and manipulating em hard. I'm sure you can guess what for-

After Shockwave's imprisonment, Sunstorm starts having more trouble keeping their energy levels stable, since the citadel was decommissioned, and the others dont really know the specifics about their condition/how to handle it. Unicron's influence gets worse, and Sunstorm goes to visit Shockwave for advice. Although they aren't in their right mind anymore, so when Shockwave tries to guide them on how to expell their energy safely, they freak out that he doesn't understand. In their frenzy they almost melt Shockwave thru the bars as they're in more of a daze guided by Unicron bein like /dewit/ lol

But guards step in. They try to apprehend Sunstorm buuut they cant touch em. Sunny leaves adn there is a whole arc of that theoretical last season round them and how peeps will end up taking down unicron and Sunstorm gets a good ending.

But I think theyd still visit Shockwave later, be decent friends with Soundwave, and Thundercracker. They'd retain an aversion to Optimus, really not being a fan, much to OP's dismay smh. One quirk of theirs to Starscream that makes him find a bit of a point of conversation to start on. Star would def warm up to em /after/ all that crazed shit (Probs would even get a bit protective tbh).

(I'm not great at describing scenery, so just some conference like room with different tables and large switched off screens and lamp like lighting is what it looks like for them.)

(Also TC talks somewhat about a kink of his, but it's not the main focus of this ramble.)

"You know I've thought about putting a human in my mouth."

Thundercracker laughed awkwardly as he leaned on the table next to Orion, even his laugh was nervous.

Megatron who was in the corner checking over the reports from Soundwave cast him a look and then one over to Orion, but didn't say anything.

In some of these cases he was just curious as to how Orion would react to such things.

Optimus had his feet up on the desk and kept reading the non classified documents he'd been given, simply checking for mistakes in spelling, he however did not look up as he swiped to the next page, wishing he was repairing space bridges instead of this. Desk duty at least in the Elite guard had been the absolute worst.

But then again he'd been fixing Sentinels problems at the time and of course that mech always took the credit for literally everything.

"Uhhh you mean you want to eat...humans, Thundercracker? Is it?"

Orion's ear fins twitched nervously.

"Oh Primus no! What in the ...no I mean like um...uhhh..."

Both mechs looked at him this time , fingers hovering over their data pads.

"So hum anyway how do you know my name exactly?"

Megatron , placed his glasses on the desk he wasn't going to let his seeker get out of that so easily.

"No, Thundercracker you had something to say, by all means continue, it is not as if Orion isn't being grounded right now as it is, have a conservation , let the whole 'class' hear."

"Megatron, don't torment him , he-"

"Orion, this is my soldier and if he's just going to come up to you with out so much as a hello how do you do before starting with his fantasies he doesn't get to just change the subject."

Megatron stopped him from defending Thundercracker with a firm tone and looked back at his soldier.

"Well, I um...over time...on this mudball, I've seen things, people and...have become a little...fascinated by them....and size difference."

Orion really did feel for the seeker, he was absolutely floundering.

Thundercracker's fists clenched as he stared up at the ceiling making a frustrated noise.

"I saw your sand guardian video , your human form, and it was hot okay, I want to rip of your humanoid versions layerings from it's body, put you in my mouth and use my tongue in ways until you're squirming and overloading repeatedly in my mouth!"

He glared at Megatron as if to say 'there , you happy!'

Megatron's smile had a sadistic twist that said

'Extremely so.'

Orion however was unfazed and had returned to his documentation.

"Wait you're not bothered by that?"

"Compared to the fan mail I received after helping to defeat Megatron and the other Decepticons, that was was tame, I've read things that make me wish I could unread them."

Thundercracker took a seat and both Decepticons pulled in closer. Even though no one had really said it, they wanted to know more about his world.

"Your Megatron must have been a weak fool, to be defeated by such an agile frame such as yourself."

Megatron chuckled.

"Like him you underestimate me, but maybe that is a Universal trait. If Optimus has not stopped you in this world , perhaps you simply have not pissed him off enough to try?"

Thundercracker sucked in his lips after that comment, desperately trying not to laugh, especially at the expense of his Leader.

Megatron looked unimpressed and even less so at Thundercracker.

"So, did you kill him?"

"No, he told me to end it, I didn't. He needed to pay for his crimes, go on a fair trial...funny enough he's now turned Autobot and on a Ship with Rodimus Prime."

(I just made a mtmte reference there , yes I did , fite me...but not really ....cause I am writing this for me so shush)

"I see, and you and him, do you enjoy my company because of him?"

Orion knew what Megatron was referring to and swiped to the next page after clearing that one.

"You two hardly look alike, but no, we grew to have a begruding respect for one another, his sites were set on Rodimus. Rodimus will be fine he has enough attitude for the Universe."

Thundercracker blinked, that was certainly interesting

"So you wasn't disappointed that you and he never."

"Not one bit-"

He turned back to Megatron , cooing over him but his voice was patronising as he patted his face

"So you don't have to worry your little self about me comparing the two of you at all."

"Little! I'm not-"

Orion pressed one of the yellow marks on the back of his hand that opened up a panel in his palm as he showed him the size difference of himself next to his version of Megatron.

"What am I looking at here?"

He leaned in closer to the image as it slowly rotated , as did Thundercracker.

"You must be exaggerating, that's...he's roughly the size of Devastator..."

Megatron looked at the image and then up at Optimus and then at the image again.

"Of course I had help from my team mates, one whom died putting the Allspark together."

The Decepticon leader poked at the image, which distorted at the interference.

"If he was in this room, could he even stand?"

Orion looked around the room.

"At best, he could stand while being partially bent over."

Closing off the image Orion then turned the next page as if he hadn't just blown their minds with size differences and tidbit information.

"I am supposed to be doing tedious work here, I missed our time this morning sir, how else am I to learn discipline and take you seriously if we sit around talking like protoforms behind the academy gossiping."

Orion huffed , a finger tapping impatiently on the back of his data pad.

"Alright, alright, just please , what was my counter part like?"

Orion turned his head slowly to Thundercracker and forced a smile

"You were a piece of Starscream, he made clones, all that took on a piece of his personality, your counter part didn't exist until he built you and placed a fragment of the all spark inside your chest."

"Oh...uh which trait did he have?"

It was obvious that Thundercracker was disappointed at this information.

"Ego, he had Starscream’s ego."

He placed his Datapad down and held out a hand for him....no wait , that custom might not even exist for Cybertronians.

He took an unexpectant Thundercrackers hand and shook it

"But it's nice to meet you, you and Skywarps are firsts for me."

"You have odd hand gestures Orion, first you make a promise by curling your little finger with the Casseticons and now this handshake?"

Megatron grumbled , taking Orion's hand away from Thundercrackers and looking over it as if it would explain some mystery.

"There's nothing secret about it, it's just a formal greeting."

"I see, and me, do you have any special greeting for me?"

"I uh..."

Orion was trying to go through his Data banks, thinking of all the films he'd seen on movie nights with Sari and even Issac.

"Well I never researched exactly where this one came from , but if I show you, it is platonically done as family members and friends also greet each other like this."

"If I find it agreeable, it must only be for me then."

Megatron stated waiting to see what this oh, so 'special' greeting was.

Orion went to his feet and motioned for him to do so aswell, he did and then Orion kissed each of his cheeks and hugged him.

"And then I think I say something of affection, however the affection type depends on the relationship between the two parties I believe."

Orion had been about to pull away only for Megatron to instinctually put his arms around him.

Hugs were rare amongst the Decepticons...it wasn't exactly common practice, but ...apparently he wasn't ready to let go of this one.

SK8 Cast Image Colors, and the Super Sentai Roots of Character Color Coding

Unlike my post about hanakotoba, where only a few examples can be confirmed to be intentionally meaningful choices, image colors are an aspect of SK8's visual symbolism that has been explicitly assigned by the creators to each of the eight main cast members. From design elements to official art and merchandise (such as the art and the Infinity Week logo above) to shots in the show itself, these image colors are a consistent aspect of the series' visual language, and colors, like flowers, have meanings and associations that can provide interesting insight into why these colors were chosen for these characters. Color-coded casts are also strongly historically rooted in the super sentai subgenre of tokusatsu series, a genre that has had massive impact on Japanese pop culture, especially battle anime like SK8, in part, is, so I'll also examine the archetypes associated with their colors in super sentai (and, in Adam's case, another important piece of anime history.)

As color associations can vary by culture, I made sure to use Japanese sources - I mainly started with the dictionary on TC Color Therapy for basic color meanings but frequently checked other sources. My primary source on colors in super sentai is a paper on color theory in tokusatsu by Misako Takahashi, along with fan wikis such as Pixiv Dictionary and other Japanese blogs analyzing the subject. I also supplemented with quotes from SK8's staff when relevant.

All the image colors come from the official character guide included in volume 4 of the Blu-rays.

Reki Kyan - Yellow

Despite his red hair, Reki's image color is yellow, the color of the signature hoodie he always wears at S. Yellow is associated with brightness, cheerfulness, fun and excitement - all things that Reki embodies at his best, and are very important parts of his character arc and what he represents to the people around him. In Utsumi's instructions to colorist Yukari Gotou, as shown in SK8 Design Works, she requested Reki's design have "so many bright and colorful primary colors it's tiring" in order to draw the eye, fitting of a bright and energetic protagonist. Yellow is a common color for team members in sentai anime, being the third most common after red and blue and appearing in the majority of series, and are often bright and cheerful "life of the party" type characters as well. This is a trend dating back to Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, the very first long-running super sentai series (beginning in 1975,) whose color coding has persisted for decades. Kirenger, the yellow member in Gorenger, was even a big eater with a signature favorite food (a trait more commonly attributed to Langa, but Reki's love for ramen and all things salty - even toothpaste - is a recurring bit in SK8 as well) and a big family.

In Takahashi's paper, she quotes another academic, Asako Yoshida's, analysis of another core aspect of yellow sentai characters, where she describes them as "an intelligent type who gathers information and forms strategies before taking action", and "rather than fighting on the front, they're a tactician who uses their wits and comes up with strategies," traits that Reki also shows frequently, especially in his biggest triumph in episode 11.

Like many of the image colors, it's also used in the show (both in the opening - highlighting his yellow-orange eyes - and in episode 11.)

Langa Hasegawa - Blue

Langa's image color is blue, selected along with white from the beginning to fit his snow theme. Blue is associated with positive meanings like calmness and intelligence, but also more negative ones like coldness, sadness and loneliness, fitting of both Langa's calm exterior and the grief that's central to his storyline. Blue sentai members are classically considered "cool" characters, an association that remains strong even as actual characters of that type have grown somewhat rarer over time, with newer series sometimes deliberately subverting expectations. Like yellow, the association of blue with the cool member of a team also dates back to Gorenger, with Aorenger (the blue member) being a cool, stoic character who came from a snowy region. Takahashi quotes Yoshida's description of blue heroes as "the calm, composed and cool second in command type," a character who "doesn't worry about what's in front of him, never seems to get worked up and deals with things calmly," which certainly describes the impression Langa gives off at first - and belies what SK8's producer Kyoko Uryuu described (when comparing him to a petit gâteau) as his "surprisingly passionate" interior.

Like with Reki, Langa's color is shown off in the opening and in the show itself - notably as his "aura" when he's in the Zone with Adam.

Miya Chinen - Light Green

Miya's image color is light green, usually shown as a yellowish lime green. I'll get to green as a whole for Kojiro, but yellow-green specifically is associated with youthfulness, beginnings and hope, as it's the color of newly budding plants - and it can also be associated with immaturity, all meanings fitting of a very young character like Miya. While his costume is meant to be an in-universe game character, his bright green hood could also be seen as vaguely evoking Link from the Legend of Zelda series.

Green sentai characters have more varied archetypes, but were historically often the youngest member of the team, while more recently it's been a trend for them to be the oldest member of the team - fitting for the youngest and oldest members of the six characters making up SK8's main "team." The idea of a green member being the youngest also dates back to Gorenger, with Midorenger (the green member) being an innocent younger boy compared to the rest of the team, who was treated like a "mascot" of sorts and even shared Miya's affinity for animals. It's also become a trend for green characters to have close relationships with the yellow members, and to be in conflict with the red members.

Like with most of the other characters, Miya's color is highlighted in the opening.

Hiromi Higa - Purple

Hiromi's image color is purple, the color of his lipstick and the inside of his cape. Purple is associated with mystery, rarity, luxury and nobility, and in Japan in particular it's frequently associated with horror (from urban legends like the purple mirror to the common use of purple miasma to show disgusting/horrific food in anime.) Purple sentai members are incredibly rare, and at the time of Takahashi's paper the few that existed were usually mentor figures, but several since have been "dark heroes" or antiheroes - as "Shadow-sama" (fitting of the link to nobility) calls himself, as the self-proclaimed Antihero of the S community. With how he becomes a close friend (and even somewhat of a mentor) to the boys despite his very antagonistic first appearance, he certainly fits the "enemy-turned-ally" archetype, and while he's not actually the much older mentor early purple members were, Reki constantly calling him "old man" does evoke that trope too.

His color appears in the opening as well as featuring heavily in his S costume.

Kaoru Sakurayashiki - Pink

True to his surname and aesthetic, Kaoru's image color is pink, the color of cherry blossoms. Pink is associated with beauty, grace, luxury and love. Just like in the west, it's considered a very feminine color - also shown in the fact that pink sentai members are almost exclusively women, and typically particularly feminine and glamorous when on teams with other female members. This is a case where Cherry is in large part a departure from the classic color coding just because of his gender; SK8's colorist, Yukari Gotou, even expressed in Skater's Backstage that she was a bit worried about having a male character with pink hair, but Utsumi described him as a "pink ninja" from the get-go in her coloring notes.

And even Kaoru isn't completely immune to hitting the sentai archetypes either, with his noted beauty and a concern for his looks that Kojiro mocks as effeminate in the series; the contrast between the feminine characteristics he has and his masculine voice and personality are a core part of how his character was designed. He even has a surprising connection with Momorenger (Gorenger's pink member, and only woman) in his affinity for kicks. (As of 2022, there's also finally been a male character properly featuring as the pink member in a sentai series in Avataro Sentai Donbrothers.)

Of course, on top of featuring so heavily in his design, Cherry's color is also used in the opening.

Kojiro Nanjo - Green

Rather than Miya's light green, Kojiro's image color is a regular green. Green is associated with calmness, stability, growth and nature, fitting for a very calming and stable mentor character who just "goes with his feelings" like Kojiro - but like light green, it can also signify immaturity, which also suits a character who proudly proclaims to be a "kid" when he's on vacation. Where Miya fits the "youngest member" trope for green sentai members, Kojiro fits the "oldest member" trope, and he also fits the recently trendy close relationship with yellow and conflict with red. In Takahashi's paper, she quotes Yoshida describing green characters as a whole as "a caring type who's always concerned if things are peaceful" (also fitting of Miya, who's always the most concerned for Reki and Langa,) "a soothing person who makes you feel warm and comforted just by being next to them" and as someone who "loves their friends, and 'being together with everyone' is important to them," and in Utsumi's color notes in SK8 Design Works, she described Kojiro as "A calming, mature green. Comforting."

And like with the others, on top of being his hair color, Kojiro's color is also shown in the opening.

Ainosuke Shindo - Red

Naturally for the "Matador of Love", Adam's image color is red, a color associated with love, passion and excitement, but also danger and anger, covering both sides of the duality of Adam's connection with love and romance and his violent skating. Utsumi's color notes in SK8 Design Works describe it as "the color of love and blood", and described Adam himself as "a guy who stole a main character's color" - fitting of the fact that in sentai series (and many anime influenced by them,) the red member is almost always the main protagonist and leader. (And perhaps a cheeky reference to Reki, though it seems Adam's color was decided on much earlier on.) Between red and blue being tied for their inclusion in sentai series and yellow in a close second place, the three primary colors form a core trio of characters in sentai series that's also reflected by Reki, Langa and Adam as the three most central characters in SK8.

While many works follow Gorenger's lead with the red protagonist being a hot-headed, passionate natural leader (a role that Adam does command at S as a whole, at least at first,) it's covered such a wide spectrum of protagonists over the course of the genre's history that red's biggest association is simply "being the main character," superseding a single specific character archetype. To momentarily dip into the history of anime itself rather than tokusatsu's influence, I'd be remiss not to mention that thanks to the influence of Mobile Suit Gundam (a franchise that both writer Okouchi and character designer Chiba have history with and mentioned in interviews on Febri as inspiring their interest in anime) it does have a memetic association with speed (and rival characters,) as Gundam's frequently-imitated masked antagonist Char Aznable's custom red mecha is notoriously "three times faster" than any other. (Adam's voice actor, Takehito Koyasu, has even played two "Char Clones" himself.)

As with the other characters, Adam's color appears in the opening but it also surrounds him frequently in the show even from his first appearance, including a red glowing aura to mirror Langa's blue when they're in the Zone (even in the finale when the red is gone from his costume.)

Tadashi Kikuchi - Gray

(Tadashi never got an official Twitter icon like the other characters, so I used a different piece of merch.)

Lastly, Tadashi's image color is gray, which is mostly known for being... a bit of a non-color, though it can be associated with gloom, ambiguity or uneasiness. It's mostly seen as a color that blends in and doesn't stand out by itself, which was the purpose behind Tadashi's color scheme, as Utsumi described in her notes as wanting his coloring to "make the main character stand out", given that he was designed from the beginning to appear alongside Adam, who has the "main character's color." Gray is an incredibly rare theme color in sentai series, to the point that there aren't specific character archetypes either; in 2014, at the time of Takahashi's paper, the only gray character she noted was a literal ghost. Even Tadashi's image color is alienated from the other skaters'...

While there are comparatively few (and less obvious) examples of Tadashi's image color appearing in the show, his last emotional scene with Ainosuke takes place in an almost entirely gray room.

It'll be interesting to see how these associations might continue to be used in the future.

Y’all- I made my first tramsformers snippet on a whim and tired inspiration- it’s a Kotrine fic (knockout x elite trine) I tried lol, if you’d like to see similar content feel free to send in a request!

The only thing could be heard was banging and cursing, the medic sighed as he looked up from his work scowling. Who could blame him though? Trying to work on the formula to crack synth-en took silence and unfortunately it was being interrupted, soon the cause of the noise became known as the door to the med bay opened and there stood the problem- Starscream- well he was actually being carried by his trinemates, Thundercracker and Skywarp as he kept on cursing and hissing at them. “Stop being so fragging stubborn” Thundercracker grumbled before pushing the red seeker onto a med berth with the help of Sky. Knockout couldn’t help but roll his optics, “what happened this time? Did Shockwaves pet get ahold of him and use him as a chew toy?” He said as he approached the squirming seeker who eventually got the other two seekers to let him go, “no- who do you think I am?” Starscream barks out. “An idiot duh” Skywarp says with a toothy grin. “Alright back up- shoo shoo now-“ knockout mumbles while getting his tools ready, Starscream damaged his wings of all things, making the medic once again roll his eyes, first off seeker wings are basically their legs, can’t survive without them due to their frames being built for aerial combat, damaged wings mean death if they’re grounded unless you’re Thundercracker in which case the larger seeker just shakes the ground to get a better advantage, second- their wings are sensitive and the last time this happened the red seeker did nothing but try and wiggle away while snapping and swiping at him which in turn damaged his finish, annoying. “Hold still now” he said before running his servos across Starscreams wings making him growl faintly and whimper. “Hey- watch it!-“ starscream hisses softly as knockout tapped the ends of his wings before starting to clean up the dried energon clumped around the wound. “You’re lucky the damage isn’t to extensive, you could’ve lost your wing you dumb-aft” the medic mumbles lightly, starscreams wings are so pretty so he’s going to try and repair it as best he can.

While the two red cybertronians are mumbling to eachother Skywarp couldn’t help but watch the doc’s hips as they sway side to side absently, he nudged Thundercracker in the side and motioned toward the medic and the blue seeker instantly caught on, also watching the speedsters hips sway. “I never noticed how our doc has such a small waist..” Skywarps vents out, fans now humming slightly louder than usual, he wonders how it would feel rot hold onto those hips- keep them still as he plows into their dear little medic making his face flush warm as devious and perverse thoughts flooded into his processor.

After he managed to get the red seeker to sit still long enough to clean and wrap his wounds he turns around to let Starscreams trine know. “Okay make sure he-“ they’re gone, where did they go? Before he could question it more he was shoved forward and pushed up against a berth adjacent to the red seeker, a purple servo holding him down before the other starts to gently explore making the medic squirm, faceplate a deep blue. “What are you doing?!- l-let go of me you aft-“ just as knockout finished Thundercracker pulled the purple seeker back a little giving the doc enough room to turn around face blazing blue and his vents stirring. “Skywarp- that wasn’t the plan-“ TC hissed “I know- but he’s just so- so fuckable-“ Sky whined making the blue seeker smack him in the back of the head. Knockouts head turns to face Thundercracker now. ��Plan?- what plan?-“ he says trying to sit up before the blue seeker gently pushes him back down, being careful as to not scratch his paint and K.O noticed this. Skywarp only grumbled and rubbed the back of his head as Thundercracker pulled knockout up off the berth gently and carefully checked them over, apparently Thundercracker was very observant and realized K.O. Prioritized his clean finish and wanted to check for damage, how sweet. This led to the medic thinking over the pass few minutes of what just happened and what it was possibly going to lead to making him weigh the pros and cons (teehee cons-) he turned his face towards the blue seeker who still seemed to be checking him over before grabbing their servos and pulling them forward and giving the bulky seeker a soft kiss. Thundercrackers fans made a hitching sound before his wings shifted down as he carefully grabbed their medics waist bringing him closer to himself. Skywarps wings flared up as his faceplate became hot, is he seeing what he thinks he’s seeing?? No, this is not fair- the purple seeker growls before getting behind knockout and pushing himself against their back and grabbing onto their hips while applying some heavy pressure making the smaller gasp into their kiss with TC, seeing this as opportunity Thundercracker pushed his glossia into their mouth while practically pinning them against skywarp. Starscream was able to hear everything, faceplate red before he turned around on the berth only to see his trine pinning their medic against eachother and rubbing their servos all over them only to realize that knockouts modesty panel was already gone and Skywarps digits were already deep inside the moaning mess of a doctor, his wings twitched as Thundercracker noticed his stare before chuckling and pulling knockout towards star making sky’s digits leave the medic which in turn made them whine. Thundercracker stared at Star before Star realized and removed his own modesty panel letting his spike free. The blue seeker carefully lifted K.O before making the medic straddle Starscreams waist, knockout looked down as his faceplate became more hot before adjusting his position and pushing Starscream inside making his legs shake, Skywarp being the menace he is grabbed knockouts shoulders and pushed the medic down fast making Star choke up a moan and the medic cry out a pleasured yelp. Moments later it’s nothing but moan after moan coming from everyone of them, Skywarp has his spike deep in knockouts valve as the medic tries his best to clean Starscreams spike all while he uses his own spike to please the big blue seekers valve. What a day to be a seeker.

So these are the outfit packs for Double Exposure.

Max Caulfield would not wear any of these outfits.

People's styles change as they age, I know but this is not something she would wear.

It's so blatantly obvious that Deck Nine knows absolutely nothing about this character to the point they removed everything that made Max, Max.

These outfits are fucking ugly and Max wouldn't wear a single one of them. These skins feel gimmicky. The outfits for Chloe in BtS and Alex in TC all felt like clothes they'd actually wear. Max wouldn't wear any of them.

And the "fan favorite" feels like a middle finger to the audience.

At this point it feels like they're fucking with us if they let you wear Chloe’s outfit but Chloe was nowhere in the game. It's getting to the point where Chloe basically has to at least appear, or the promotion of this game is nuts

Like, they're tweeting about how people will have to wait and see if she's there, can you imagine if they're just like 'hey, technically we never said she'd actually be there'

I'm not going to tell you what to do with your money, but do not buy this game.

My reasons explained here. This is a soulless cashgrab from a studio that got caught protecting a bigoted groomer and did nothing to stop a Nazi from putting white supremacist signs in their games.

Like it's fucking blatant it's a have their cake and eat it too, trying desperately to recreate lightning in a bottle that was Life Is Strange but without the charm, characters, the artistry or ambiance that the first game had. It's Square Enix trying to milk the cow with Deck Nine lacking a complete understanding of Max Caulfield or that made the first game good in the first place. All while Deck Nine is trying to save their fucking asses after they got exposed.

Not to mention it's a copy & paste of True Colors, but with Max's name slapped on Steph because D9 can't understand their model resembles nothing of Max.

Now the final of these posts. The tugs. Obviously there isn't gauges for tugs, however there are significant size differences and different purposes for tugs. Now for most of them the only real difference is size, speed and agility but I'll still point things out. Also if some colours are off it's on purpose as some star fleet members opted to have their fur repainted to a new colour.

So, here we go.

Ten cents is a switcher. Any fan of the show knows this means that he is the smallest type of tug. In terms of beast, this remains acurate. This also means that Tc is very agile and flexible compared to other tugs. In general, switchers are light and easier to move, and in general are faster. They also have rather sharp claws, due to the fact they can't rely on their strength to defend themselves. Other notes is the back legs are fin like and weak on land and waterproof fur.

Warrior is one of many harbour tugs in the series, as they are the most common type with 6 characters being labelled as harbour tugs. They are big and strong, not too fast or agile but not too slow or clumsy (in general anyway). Alongside that harbour tugs's claws are less sharp than switchers, since they are strong enough that they dont need them. In every other way, though, they remain identical to the switchers aside from their size and claws.

O.J is also technically a harbour tug. This makes him the same as the other harbour tugs with one key difference, his paddles. O.J. is generally referred to as a paddle boat tug, due to his side paddles that allow him to move, since he was built before tugs were made with propellers. This means that as a best he has 2 large fins on the sides of his tail and body, which helps keep him afloat.

Top hat is a railway tug. This means he has a neck that can extended, which still remains the same. Afterall whats a railway tug with no neck? A harbour tug. He is also a lot taller than the others, having longer legs. One slightly odd detail though is his back legs more closely resemble that of the engines. While this was confusing as to why, some workmen came up with the theory as to why this could be the case. It was imagined that in a realm where the beasts were the norm, railway tugs may have been bred to help with other railway works, so evolved to have stronger back legs to allow easier land travel to help with tasks like shunting and small, short deliveries.

Hercules is an ocean going tug. This means he is absolutely massive. He is made for ocean travel, therefore has much stronger limbs than the others. He also has thicker fur to keep him warmer on longer journeys. Most of his lenth is in his tail, allowing for stronger strokes in the water. His claws are also blunt, as ocean going tugs are so massive they tend to just eat whatever they hunt whole rather than dragging them to the surface. This is at priced with the fact that he is naturally the worst on land due to his sheer size alone.

This is usually when this would end, but there is one more tug I wish to cover.

This is Seafoam, one of my tugs ocs and an ice breaker tug. Ice breakers are built to break and transport ice, so they have thick, fluffy fur to keep them warm. This is combined with sharp claws on both their front and back legs, which allows the ice to be broken apart more easily. Their back legs are also stronger and larger than the other types, (aside from the railway tug of course) to allow them to be able to easily kick away ice if they become surrounded.
