Eventually Izuna finishes the final version of his essay, and Tobirama reads it over, approves it, and files it.

If Izuna notices that once he no longer has any reason to need his finished essay, it's suddenly filed on the bottom shelf of the accessible sex bookshelf instead of in the locked cabinet he had to ask Tobirama to open for him, he doesn't say anything.

Tobirama showers him with praise for his persistence+residence, for an excellent essay and for really furthering his understanding of a topic he clearly didn't know much about, previously. Izuna is very embarrassed. He thanks Tobirama for the compliments and for the teaching/help, and then escapes as soon as possible.

(He goes home and chases completion several times thinking of Tobirama before he can sleep)

Once the essay is done, they don't really have any reason to interact as they had before. Of course, their interactions still aren't exactly standard: Izuna continues stalking Tobirama, continues tracking him down to bother him at any and every opportunity, and keeps breaking into his lab. Meanwhile, Tobirama continues to pretend he doesn't know Izuna is following him, humours his attempts to be annoyance with alternate sniping (of various friendliness/hostility) or put-downs, continues using his lab half for questionable experiments and paperwork and half for masturbation, continues allowing Izuna to watch him masturbate. They spar, sometimes, work together when needed and bicker (again, varying hostility/friendliness when bickering)

But they don't touch outside of spars anymore, they never discuss anything even vaguely related to sex, Tobirama rarely ever seeks Izuna out first and never tries to tell him to do, or not to do, something. He doesn't praise Izuna or try to humiliate him, and Izuna no longer approaches him as someone he can ask questions or someone to whom he can confess a lack of understanding and expect help. They don't talk much, in general, outside of work. They're back to being vaguely friendly, vaguely antagonistic colleagues, with the after thought of Izuna feeling entitled to Tobirama's lab regardless of what he happens to be doing in there.

It's....less than satisfactory, to say the least.

And he can tell that Izuna isn't happy about it either, because he's breaking into Tobirama's lab far more often than he did before first being given a requisition report, he's being even more persistent in his stalking and being pointedly less careful to go unnoticed. His attempts to bother Tobirama are also gradually ramping up from the usual, persistent needling to actual attempts to pick a fight - though Tobirama shuts that down fast, and Izuna backs off entirely for free days, sulking, before going back to being a pest. He keeps trying to get Tobirama's attention, although frankly, Tobirama has no idea what the man intends to do with that attention once he has it. He's not convinced Izuna knows, either. He just feels neglected, it seems. Tobirama finds that unsatisfactory, but cannot think of a way to fix it.

Despite all this, it still feels good to have Izuna watch him. It still feels good to have the same Sharigan eyes that were such a threat in war instead transfixed on a sliver of bare skin, on the twist of his wrist, on the way blood beads at his lip when he bites down to muffle himself. Izuna can never seem to look away once Tobirama starts, if he's there, and it feels /good/.

And then one day Izuna tries another approach to get Tobirama's attention. It's tentative, and stumbles over his words a few times, clearly unsure, but one day Izuna appears when Tobirama is masturbating, pulls up a chair, and then tells him he has a question. Eyes nowhere near his face of course, Izuna is watching elsewhere at the moment.

Tobirama tells him to ask his question, and then decides he wants Izuna's eyes on his face after all. He makes a point of letting his breathing get heavier, bites his lip like he's trying to stifle himself, then lets his lip free and instead runs a hand up his chest, to his mouth - only to be quieter, of course, no other reason, he has to be quiet if he wants to hear Izuna's question and he's hardly going to /stop/ so he'll just have to muffle himself, is all - and watches with satisfaction as Izuna's face flushes almost as red as the Sharigan. Izuna's own mouth is open, having stuttered to a stop before he'd gotten out more than the first word of his question, and now his eyes are exactly where Tobirama wants them. Good.

Tobirama is very very pleased to note how long it takes Izuna to gather himself and restart his question, after that.

He's even more pleased at what Izuna has to ask.

"Ah, I just thought, um... Usually when you do an experiment, you have a hypothesis, right? And then, then you observe to see if your hypothesis is right. Or you change this variable or that variable to see what it affects, so..." Izuna got distracted watching a bead of sweat drip down Tobirama's chest, and Tobirama tried not to feel too smug about it. He failed, unsurprisingly. But he thought he might like where this line of questioning was going.

"So?" He prompted - he couldn't quite keep the breathy quality entirely out of his tone, but he /could/ keep his voice calm and even, and he loved the way it made Izuna squirm when he pretended not to be affected.

Sure enough, Izuna's blush reddened anew and he stammered a bit, gesturing emphatically and completely meaninglessly with his hands, before he could answer properly. Tobirama was careful not to acknowledge this flailing, just so he could keep watching Izuna's reaction.

Izuna cleared his throat, stared at the wall for a moment - Tobirama didn't know why he bothered, his eyes were drawn back like a magnet within seconds - and continued.

"So. In the reports it's, if you're not testing a hypothesis or the affect of a variable, you're trying to confirm previous results so...so which are you doing, now?"

Yes, he was pleased with this. If he was careful... If he was careful, he might be able to draw Izuna back in, here. At very minimum Izuna had started them back on the topic of sex, and if they both allowed that back on the table of permissable conversation that was already a vast improvement to the recent state of things.

He hasn't been thinking about this when he wrote the reports, hadn't been thinking about what Izuna might think of it at all, it was just convenient habit when writing up an observation, but now...

"Hm... Confirming previous results," Tobirama lied easily, then pressed on before Izuna could question him about previous data, "why? Do you have a hypothesis you'd like to test?"

Izuna's throat bobbed as he swallowed. Tobirama watched.

"I... yeah. Yeah, I do."

Tobirama waited, idly thrusting up into his hand as he did so, and then after a few moments in which Izuna only stared, prompted with some small impatience "Which is?"

"I, is arousal affected by another's touch in the same way other sensations are!" Izuna blurted all at once, then amended somewhat sheepishly "Like tickling. "Um." Izuna stopped, thought for a minute.

Then he tried again, offering in his best attempt at clinical, factual phrasing "If we assume that all parties involved view achieving orgasm quickly as the goal, is success achieved more quickly alone or with a partner?"

i grew up watching the original scooby doo where are you? series (fun blazie fact i got the complete og sd series for christmas one year as a kid but i found it under my parents bed on accident like mooooonths ahead of time when i was laying on their floor watching tv and i think i knew i shouldnt have seen it so i just managed to be quiet about until christmas and then went "ohhhh it was a christmas gift that makes sense" in my head on christmas when i got it and i dont think either of my parents know that to this day) as well as the early to mid-2000s what's new scooby doo series with everyone's favorite emo scooby band simple plan pls pay ur respects (sorry simple plan but if u didnt wanna be known as the scooby doo band u rly shouldnt have written such BANGERS SORRY !!) along with the '88-'91 series a pup named scooby doo and all of the movies we're abt to talk abt

as an older kid i've also watched the new scooby doo movies (the show lol) and the new scooby doo show and some of the scooby doo and scrappy doo show and the 13 ghosts series. the newer mystery incorporated series on cartoon network was rly cool!! way more like serious and the mystery lasted the entire series with complex storylines i thought it was really good tbh!! basically what im saying is if its animated from 1969 to 2010 ive probably seen it at least once but more likely like way more times then i could count im just a kid after all

the first era of scooby are the 4 animated tv films although the 4th is kinda in era 1.5 we'll get there. animated tv films mean that they aired on tv originally before getting any physical release, in contrast to the rest of the movies that went straight to dvd release and then also aired on tv (i think). the first three star shaggy scooby and scrappy, scooby's nephew.

the very first scooby movie is called scooby doo meets the boo brothers (n establishes shaggy as having an uncle who owned a southern plantation during the civil war HMMMM 👀 fun scooby fact there lol; he also has an uncle that owns a castle in europe in the whats new scooby doo series, the rogers family is truly diverse and extensive and also his dad is a cop in a pup named scooby doo lol) from 1987, followed almost exactly a year later by scooby doo and the ghoul school in october '88 which is followed about a month later by scooby doo and the reluctant werewolf in nov '88. these three movies are AWESOME and filled with puns so like rly i was doomed from the start raised on these movies to be a sarcastic lil shit heheh. ghoul school is my favorite from this era and is my favorite scooby ever maybe, it goes back and forth between monster of mexico. i rlyrly love ghoul school tho sibella is the biggest vibe ever i wanna be tannis getting taken care of by sibella so bad it hurts all my life annnnnnnnyway ive gotten off topic a bit.

now the 4th movie scooby doo in arabian nights in era 1.5 is different for a couple reasons that's why its sort of in its own era but it was still an animated tv film but it was released in 1994 and was an adaptation of one thousand and one nights. scrappy is also not in this one just shaggy and scooby and the humor is a little different but i actually just rewatched it yesterday and i forgot how good it is !! also shaggy dresses as a girl for the first time in movie form in this one besides the tutu scene in ghouls school i only noticed recently how often this occurs in this series i grew up with and have loved longer then anything other media and turned out to be trans HMMMM.

~era 2~

the second era also has four movies in it and were animated in japan by mook animation. frank welker is the only returning cast member voicing fred again but doesn't take over scooby yet. these movies star the traditional gang from the original series: fred, daphne, velma, shaggy and scooby. i put these in their own era bc they share characteristics from being made a unique animation studio from overseas. the gang have a style up-do and their attitudes are different. my partner puts it that they really lean into the meddling part and i have to agree. especially in zombie island they act like brats lol i'd try to suck their energy out also heh. also scooby hates cats in this era and doesnt understand that he's a dog despite these being previously established in the original series (scooby is friendly with cats and also knows hes a dog). also importantly different in this era is that the monsters are all real, not humans in masks.

the first movie from this era is scooby doo on zombie island from 1998, which is dedicated to the original voice of scooby don messick who died in 1997. this is my partners favorite scooby movie and the music is AWESOMEEEEE it ROCKS.

the witches ghost has awesome music too via the eco goth group the hex girls that DEFINITELY had nothing to do with me being a lil teenage lesbian (oh my god why r they so hot pls tell me why they made them so hot ????) and their music is fucking awesome and their pagan its p heckin cool i love the hex girls smmmm. it came out similarly like a year later in 1999.

in 2000 scooby doo and the alien invaders came out. this one is my least favorite of this era. its not bad !! its just.. not as good lol.

era 3 rly covers the rest of the movies but theres sub eras again if you'll bear with me just a lil longer.

scooby would return to movies in 2003 as the first solo animation project of joseph barbera, since william hanna died in 2001. this is the first time in the movies frank welker takes over as scooby since don messick died in '97. he starts this in the whats new scooby doo series that ran 2002-2006 and era 3's animation style, personalities and humor are all much more similar to whats new scooby doo then era 2's.

era 3.1 consists of 2003's legend of the vampire and monster of mexico, the last two movies to reunite the original series cast. monster of mexico is my other favorite scooby movie although i am forever cursed with learning at a young age that el chupacabra is "like Mexico's version of the bigfoot" from this movie and having to always remember that that's not true lol. the bad guy in this movie is the rich white man trying to steal from the Mexican family and town. good stuff. i like this one a lot. BANGERS!!!!!! if there's something that stays with scooby throughout all these years it's the MUUUUSIC !!!!! legend of the vampire is also cool and GUESS WHO'S BACK MY GIIIIRRRRLLLSSSS the hex girls are back in this one with the same VAs as witches ghost. i also found that they were in mystery incorporated when making sure they were in legend of the vampire!! truly icons i love them sm im so gaaaayyyyyy !!

era 3.2 starts with 2004's loch ness monster and has the voice cast of what's new scooby doo, with velma and daphne's original VA's retiring from scooby at this point. casey kasem and frank welker are still here. era 3 takes the gang worldwide really, with locations from australia to mexico to scotland to hawaii to egypt to the bermuda triangle to the himalayas before they go back to coolsville in 2008's goblin king!! in monster of mexico we see them on a video call in their houses so presumably this is the first time coolsville is seen again in a scooby movie since 2003!! although in goblin king they do use coolsville by name but they don't in monster of mexico so it's not actually confirmed if they're canon living in coolsville at the start of era 3 it's just my head canon. coolsville is the town that the gang is from in the original series and a pup new scooby doo (which is technically a prequel series to the og scooby doo where are you)

~era 4~

2009's samurai sword (which is the only movie i dont own of all of these although that was before i knew this was the last one with casey kasem i just remember being kinda meh on it oops) was the last scooby movie with casey kasem voicing shaggy. 2010's abracadabra doo is the first animated movie that matthew lliard voices shaggy in and the start of era 4. aside from the change from kasem to lliard, the animation style got an upgrade and they took out the "and the" part of the title, from scooby doo "and the" monster of mexico to scooby doo abracadabra doo as one example. this is in line with the release of scooby doo mystery incorporated in 2010. just as era 3's movies partnered with the series that ran in tandem, era 4 has a closer animation style to mystery incorporated and the same voice cast. abracadabra doo is rly good !! it's my partners second favorite scooby !! again guys the music is AWESOME and also velma's little sister mads is in it and rly cute 🥰 they released camp scare in 2010 also it's alright it's not bad. i got it in the set that i bought with most of my other movies otherwise i probably wouldn't have seen it. solid scooby movie, but not one of my favs.

this is also the end of my eras of expertise if u will. ive seen a couple of the newer scooby movies since 2010 but its all just kinda meh to me, im too autistic n just wanna watch the same movies over and over again for the rest of my life. i have a nightstand drawer that they live in 🥺👉🏻👈🏻 someone else will have to take up the torch for scooby movie eras 2011 and later🫡 or not..theyve been retconning older properties.. like they made a "sequel" to zombie island in 2019 20 years later except did they watch the ending to zombie island ????? #notmyscooby lol 😋

HE WAS HIRED AT DISNEY IN 1945 GUYS THE WAR E N D E D IN 1945 WHAT A LEGEND !!!!????!!!! he worked for disney from 1945 to 1961 working on animation such as cinderella, peter pan, lady and the tramp, sleeping beauty n one hundred n one dalmatians !! then he went to work for hanna-barbera and designed scooby and astro the dog from the jetsons n others !!!! he has several notable awards but it seems like the golden award from the animation guild in 2005 was the highest honor. he has a memoir i actually wanna get that n read it !! he died in 2007 at the age of 81 but remains in the scooby credits as the character designer past his death 🥲🥹 scooby is based off of an employees great dane at hanna-barbera 🥹💕

My one company, a small succulent that rests near the window, and a carved small owl that i need to constantly clean because its constantly molding due to the dampness.

You were completely smitten by him. Confused by how you went this long without noticing. It was hard to keep it in, so you told Celine.

After you did and you guys got together it was easy to tell that you were completely in love with him. You're guy's friends (Will and Mark) teased you by saying you were worse then Damien. It was true. You fell so hard for that man. (We all did. He's so pretty)

For Damien he is the workaholic and you are clingy. Like he'll come home from work and be like "I have work to do."

Hey, if we're talking about Jon's asexuality, can we not make it about a black and white "explicit fic involving Jon bad"

While this isn't true to all of them, a lot of the explicit fic, especially when it involves Martin, have a discussion about Jon's asexuality. As a result, a lot of the emotional moments and the sex itself is shaped around and is changed because of it.

And oh, a lot of explicit fics are in fact written by ace authors exploring their own sexuality and kinks because asexuality is a spectrum!

(This is not to say that just because an author is ace, doesn't mean they can't be critical of their own writing. Fics that glorify rape/incest in particular can still be written by an ace author and shouldnt be shielded just because they are).

For those unaware, there are many types of aces. Sex-repulsed, those are not favorable to sex at all and outright dislike it. Sex-indifferent, which are indifferent to sex in a relationship. Sex-neutral where they’re neutral to the idea of sex itself. Sex-favorable where the idea of sex in a relationship is good even if it's not to their own person. Sex-positive where they’re actively seeking sex and sexual situations in a relationship. There are other variations that fall under the ace umbrella like demisexuality and gray-ace to name a few, but this is the main gist. 

(Note, this has been edited. To include sex-indifferent and sex-favorable aces). 

I've read fics for many types for Jon. I adore reading fics of Jon talking with Martin about his boundaries. I really like a Jon that helps Martin through sex but feels more than satisfied with the intimacy of being close to Martin in his afterglow. And the sex-positive fics are rarer but they're usually really good at exploring and talking about his aceness and how it affects his sexuality.

But Lunes, you may say, isn't the line "Jon just.... doesnt." Doesnt that imply that he's sex-repulsed or at the very least, definitely never sex-positive?

There's been many posts arguing the semantics of this statement. That for many sex-indifferent and sex-neutral aces also identify with this statement or that in the specific context, they were talking about casual hook-ups. I could go on.

But tbh? I don't personally care.

Listen. There are very few ace characters. Further, there is very few ace protags. There are 703 AO3 works for the "Canon Asexual Character" tag and 482 of them are for TMA. The second highest is at 34 for Rusty Quill Gaming.

There are so few ace characters. Everyone is looking for representation and a lot of ace folks are writing different fics that have their own version of aceness. And yes, this sometimes means explicit fics because sometimes exploring aceness means exploring sexual situations since asexuality inherently changes how sex is viewed and performed. Let people explore their asexuality through a popular character!!! Do I personally think Jon is sex-positive, probably not! But hey, I'm sex-neutral and I don't know what being an sex-positive ace means.

But guess what? All aces also have almost equal amount of rep. And by that, next to none. We're all scrambling for the same rep and seeing ourselves in the same character. In the far future, there may be more ace characters we can all project our particular flavor of ace onto, but atm there isn't.

There is nuance here that I'd like there to be in the conversation in regards to writing Jon in explicit fics. And I keep seeing posts that imply that just the act of writing Jon in sexual settings or having sex is bad (I remember someone pointing out the number of explicit fics with Martin was a lot.... which tbh isn't even true. There are 3366 works for Jonmartin, 1363 for T, 1131 G, and in third place with only 345, E with 310 are M and 217 not rated. Also in general of the 5562 fics involving Jon, only 667 are E rated. In comparison to most fandoms, where the E tag would be the first or second highest tag, that isn't that much).

(This is not to say some ships don't have more sexual content than others. In particular, I find explicit fics with Elias and Tim rarely if ever explore Jon's aceness. And if they do, there tends to be... let's say manipulative elements at best from Elias. And explicit fics with Tim tend to have a lot of "office slut" factors from both of them. Which really shows the biphobia from the fandom).

I make this post not because the fandom's portrayal Jon's asexuality has been perfect or that all explicit fics have treated his aceness with respect. Far from it. But not all explicit fics are the same, and I dislike that many wonderful explicit fics that explore Jon's asexuality in an ace way have been meshed in with fics that just treat him as straight up gay (erasing both his bisexuality and his asexuality in the process).

I make an edit here as well. Jon is ace and you can’t forget that. It changes things and if you don’t keep that in mind when writing relationships with him, then you’re erasing his asexuality. This isn’t just in explicit fics. I’ve seen many T-rated fics that mention previous casual hook-ups like they’re a regular thing he used to do, unsaid sexual situations, and Jon finding characters attractive in a way that felt distinctly offputting as an ace person. It’s complicated, and difficult, and even as I write this post in defense of explicit fics, I want to keep this in mind. I don’t make this post to excuse lazy writing of an ace character rather to keep in mind that asexuality is complicated. And in that complication means we all have to work harder to be more understanding of one another but also to work harder to make better fic that is inclusive. 

TLDR: Please be careful when writing Jon's asexuality. He is ace and you should write him as such, BUT do not make an umbrella notion that writing an explicit fic with an ace character is inherently bad. There is nuance that can and should be discussed, especially since many of these explicit fics are being written by ace people. Sexuality is far too complicated for such a blanket statement. I'd rather the discussion lean towards how asexuality is portrayed rather than throwing out explicit fics all together.

First of all i want to mention that Aysha is non-binary poc and is married to a woman. This doesnt exempt her from possibly writing some shitty things, but its good to have perspective here. Shes not some cishet white person writing these characters.

So are you going to ignore the literal thousands of pages of the original comic where we had a PLETHORA of Rosemary interactions??? And absolutely no davekat? And if you remember Kanaya was still having hang ups with Vriska, so it only made sense that that was explored a bit in Pesterquest rather than jumping straight to Rose and Kanaya cuddling on a couch and spewing gay poetics at each other. Like I genuinely dont know what you fucking want.

Also i would like to point out that romance wasnt even the fucking focus of Pesterquest. Dave and Karkat’s interactions were barely anything more than characters mentioning them and them being in the same place together for one single ending and mspar implying that they had a feeling they were supposed to be good friends. Tbh it sounds like you and the people who often have this complaint are way more fucking obsessed with what’s going on with Davekat than Aysha or the rest of the team will ever be. Maybe you should redirect your efforts into creating more wlw content for Homestuck since you think the new team is so lesbophobic for portraying two grown ass women having some marital problems (and acting like that cant happen in the real world with real people literally every day).

You and tons of other people fucking love to point to Kanaya and Rose’s issues in hs2 and preach that it’s suddenly lesbophobic that theyre not happy go lucky 24/7. Anon, I am very sorry for how you feel these days. I totally understand and I also want you to recover as soon as possible.

Your state really reminds me of how I felt when ch.138 came out. I didn’t cry that much, but maybe...it was because of the leaks I’ve read before the chapter or just how I lived during that time. I couldn’t normally eat, sleep and simply function, because every time I did something, it just ended up being another breathing exercise session, because I really couldn’t get myself to do something without thinking about ch.138.

But instead of checking social media and trying to find a distraction in my phone, I just tried to distance myself from it. One of the things that really helped me to cope was...cleaning😂 I don’t know how it will be for you, but cleaning really distracted me and eased my mind. Also, on the day when ch.138 was officially released, i needed to go outside with my friend and tbh, these two really helped me to deal with the anxiety. I took me a full week to recover, but nevertheless...I just tried to find some ways to think about something else. I also did my school work, talked to my friends, watched another animes and just continued to live.

As for how I am still mentally and physically okay...I am just that type of person who is used to let things go. Be it people leaving my life, materialistic stuff that I lose or how things don’t go my way, I just don’t feel as sad about it as I used to, because nothing is permanent in this world and everything has an end. I knew that AoT will end someday and I used to tell myself that no matter what kind of ending it will be, I will be okay.

It’s not like “I will accept any crappy ending”, but more like “I know that Isayama won’t scrap his work and no matter what he does, it’ll be meaningful”. I knew that getting a happy-go-lucky ending won’t be possible as I used to think, and maybe that was my fault for believing it...But I am happy with this ending, because it wasn’t closed and precise enough.

As for Mikasa, I see where you are coming from, but Mikasa didn’t brutally killed him. She finally freed him from the burden of this world. Yes, it would be so great if they lived together, had a family and just spend the rest of their lives as they wished for.

But realistically, knowing how many problems Eren’s existence will bring and their conscientious nature...They still wouldn’t find peace, because as Armin mentioned that even if titans stopped to exist, it doesn’t mean that the world will just come to peace. No, they will need to work and create that peace by themselves, but again, Eren’s life would be full of responsibilities and burden all over again.

If the writing was different and Isayama made his story a little more hopeful in some ways...I think we would get something different, but that’s only my speculations.

could you give us your most realistic scenario of what will happen to hawks in the manga? do you think horikoshi will delve into his mental state after this super traumatic event or just kinda focus more on his wings/external injuries??

ooooh this is a hard one because well... i’m bound to be biased about how important hawks is hahah. he’s important to the plot and has been a focal point in the narrative and his arc still has more to it, but he’s still a side character and there’s gonna be a lot of recovery focus on different characters after this arc, so how much room is there for hawks?

at the most basic of levels, i want to see indication that hawks is struggling mentally and physically after losing a massive part of himself. even if it’s just in the way that mirio was shown to be doing Not Well after losing his quirk—panels of him crying alone etc. but imo, mirio was handled that way because his arc was mostly over and he wasn’t that plot relevant anymore, whereas hawks still is (he knows dabi’s name, info on the plf, toga will probably want revenge, the mystery around hawks’ own name and childhood.... the list goes on). so i’m tentatively hopeful for more depth into a recovery arc for him.

that being said, i’m not sure i see him giving up or even outwardly showing how torn up he is. i’ve considered a few main scenarios though: 1) he keeps up his jokey facade to deflect worry and attention or 2) we get treated to suddenly serious hawks, but not just when he’s alone anymore—no point in still playing the fool if it comes out he’s an undercover agent with a kill count. i suppose he could lose motivation and feel broken and useless (though hopefully as part of an arc where he finds his worth without his wings).

but personally, i view him as a determined, self sacrificial person. his own ruined life is a casualty for that better future and he hasn’t come this far to stop working hard now. so even through the mental and physical turmoil, i can imagine him not really addressing it and going straight back into work. repress, repress, repress, all the guilt at failing the raid and needing to be saved and killing twice—push it all down to keep working (though it’ll come back to bite him later). this is less of a realistic scenario and more how i’d write it hahah........ it would also allow for the plot to keep moving without spending too much time on hawks being sad (but very sad internally)

but yeah, his entire identity is his job and without his wings he can’t really be that anymore, at least not in the same way. identity crisis time? tbh, i really can’t predict it. i can see most focus being on his physical injuries but i hope there’s more to it! again, my ideal scenario is hawks pretending he’s fine so that he can keep working and everyone’s like there is no WAY that man is fine oh my god shouldnt he be in a hospital??

whewww so much to unpack here lets go its essay time

1. !!!! this is probably one of the most fundamentally misunderstood parts of femdom. it don’t gotta be ball crushing and whipping and calling him a worm all the time, or even at all. this is probably what turns so many women off from trying it or thinking they might be into a more dominant role. gentle femdom is way more palatable for beginners and for me personally, just way more enjoyable (even tho i definitely would wanna make a boy cry from time to time)

2. I used to be one of those people who looked down on findom. I still don’t understand why anyone would be into it tbh but findoms get a lot of shit for no reason... being a sugar baby is so glamorized but if you’re a findom you’re cold, or a bitch, or taking advantage. even though they’re both just people who get money from men who have money to throw at them for sexual favors... but one’s demonized and one’s all the rage... hm i wonder why

4. 100000%!! the stories i’ve seen from black subs in kink (mostly black women but still) are horrendous. a lot of doms will try to enforce a master/slave relationship, and try to exercise their authority to make subs agree to it. i know it’s a common dynamic, but that shit is wayyyy different to black people... any dom should know that. forcing your sub to do anything is wrong, but especially something so racially, historically, and culturally insensitive. and don’t get me started on the surprise “race play” stories i’ve heard... like i said doing anything without your sub’s consent is wrong but THAT kind of thing requires double consent with a cherry on top. this is part of the reason I’m so scared to enter the kink scene... this shit scares me. thats why the title mistress and master/slave dynamics in general just isn’t for me. it makes me think of my ancestors :/

6. yessss I hate the stereotype of dom outfits as black, latex, leather, way too high to walk in boots... like does it look fire?? yes of course but pink and lace and knee high socks would make a fit that’s just as fire. 

7. this is non-negotiable to me. whenever I hear someone say “I don’t like safe words” or “I/We don’t need a safe word” it’s just a red flag to me. idc what anyone says safe words are mandatory.

8. Yes. I feel like I shouldn’t have to say this but with the rise of the popularity of “rough sex” (again, thanks FSOG) there’s seems to be a rise in people who just assume their partner may be into something, or who just try to experiment on their partner without asking them first. I’ve heard a lot of friends and other girls talk about guys just going straight into choking them, spanking them, and pulling their hair without even asking if they like it (another reason I’m scared to get out there and do stuff, as a person who is very much not a sub or into being treated roughly or tossed around, it’s a big fear of mine). I’ve also seen a lot about girls just randomly trying to finger their boyfriends. If it’s not vanilla, and y’all haven’t discussed it, do not assume it’s on the table. We’ve gotten to a point that kinky stuff is so talked about and normalized (especially with young adults) that people forget it’s actually kinky.

10. okay so story time, around the age of 15/16 is when I started to realize I was into kinky stuff. The preference had kinda always been there, but I couldn’t really place a name to it. I had always felt like an outcast among my peers when it came to the way they would talk about romantic and sexual relationships (I was a year ahead, so all my friends were 1-2 years older than me, so they started to do that stuff earlier than I did) because the things they talked about and liked were way different from the stuff I would think/fantasize about, so I always stayed quiet (teenage girls are very vocal about having choking/daddy kinks but that’s definitely indicative of a much larger problem that i will not get into bc that’s a whole other very very long essay that I will definitely write on here one day but not now). So when I found out what gentle femdom was I felt like I had a community that understood me, and everything just clicked. I would lurk on online communities and I lived for the discourse on there but I could never actively participate because every community had a strict “no minors” policy. They would say exactly what you said, “If minors wish to learn, then they should do so by finding articles and books, not by asking people involved in the scene.” I didn’t want to make anyone catch a case and I didn’t want to get targeted by predators so I tried to follow their advice. i found nothing. There honestly just isn’t that much educational stuff for “kinky teenagers”, or at least none that fit me. There was no femdom oriented stuff. I mean sure there was the standard “consent is important especially in bdsm relationships” but like that didn’t really help me. I had so many questions, that I could never feel comfortable asking my mom or a therapist, and especially not my friends. I didn’t know how to express this part of myself. I couldn’t talk to anyone about it and I couldn’t even watch porn like a normal teenager (we all know the state of femdom porn. its bad) so I was this ball incredible frustration and confusion and i didn’t know what to do with it. So I unfortunately turned to twitter. There I made a little like minded friend. he was also 16 so i thought “this is good, a non adult also kinky teenager who I can relate too. what could go wrong :)”(I’m sure you see where this is going) I was so excited to have a new friend, but ofc, our convos soon took a turn. However, since he was the first person to ever show interest in me, and the only person my age who i could talk to who understood me, i started to catch feelings. But he was a teen just like me, just as horny and confused and sooo immature. He started to pressure me into domming him/becoming his domme, but I refused because I wasn’t ready (i saw on one of those online communities I used to lurk in that its not healthy for your first sexual experience to be bdsm and I took that to heart). he ghosted me. needless to say that “friendship” was toxic. i realized too late that he only saw me as a kink dispenser, and didn’t care about me on a personal level. it also made me realize how not “mature for my age” I was. i say all this to say, NO, teenagers should not be participating in kink. they are not mature enough. however education and resources for them are not where they should be. if we want to discourage them from putting themselves in these situations, we need to better provide them with education and healthy ways to relieve these urges/feelings (i eventually took up writing, it helped me a lot). i feel like had i found a healthier and safer way to express/explore that side of myself, I would’ve never gotten in that situation to begin with. That experience has kinda put me off from dipping my toe into the actual community (well that and the lack of diversity but we’ve already talked about that)

ALSO the amount of very young children i’ve seen in the kink “community” on twitter is alarming... you’re not a little you’re 12
