I had to do this one because I was curious about the shoujo-esque styled Yuri comic on the side. Apparently it was a review comic of the drama special included with Vol 6 of the dvd/blu-ray release for Season 1. It was drawn by Kiki and included on pg 22 of the magazine this blurb appeared in.
I've translated the information in the blurb that follows the DVD/Blu-ray info, pertaining to the drama itself.

I'm aware TB 1999 CD drama isn't canon per se, but concept of Subaru having an assistant is sort of appealing to me for two reasons: Subaru having someone to talk to, even if keeping on emotional distance and Seishirou being jealous (but in denial) that someone has 'taken his place'.
Ofc nothing of that sort would happen between Subaru and whoever Sumeragi clan appointed to drive him around and help maintain schedule but it's not precisely 'Subaru-kun might hook up with other man' sort of jealousy. It's more bitter amusement that Subaru has someone in life performing similar duties he once did; that he was 'replaced'. Ofc that's far from truth and Subaru never opened up to his assistant but Seishirou doesn't necessarily know that; plus this is point of story where Subaru is still in denial he wants to kill Seishirou.
For a man that allegedly has no emotions and doesn't care one bit it sure would be amusing to witness his mental gymnastic when he sees other man regularly by Subaru's side
#anyhow Subaru would need to find new assiatant soon bc previous one would go mysterious missing#or actually no maybe he'd live#if Seishirou gets stubborn and refuses to kill because he doesn't want Subaru to think he can influence his actions even a bit#anyhow drama angst potential maybe even some humor

I want to get into media archiving. I want this to be my new hobby. I want to buy stacks of high quality DVDs and burn them with all my favourite movies, tv shows, and music playlists. I want to make them cover arts and put them in cute boxes so I can fill shelves upon shelves with All My Favourite Stuff, perfectly organized and permanent and mine.
I want to delete everything I have on google drive and onedrive and dropbox. If I never watch any of these shows again, who cares, life is to short for rewatching things anyway, there are so many new things to see. Why do I have so much stuff? How did I generate this much data?? I don't need any of this!
I want to buy albums from my favourite artists on bandcamp. I want to stop paying for streaming platforms, no more Spotify, no more Netflix, I want to own media, I've had enough of renting. I want to stop giving money to executives who exploit artists. I don't want to enable these businesses anymore. If everybody stops using them, then they'll have to change policies!!
I want to be able to share Spotify playlists with friends online. I love listening to my friends' playlists. I love it when I watch a nice drama on Netflix and I text my grandma and tell her to watch it and she does because it's easy and doesn't require any tech knowledge to do it. I love it that we can share these things cause we can access them instantaneously and easily. I love sending my friends a link to my 7 TB google drive acount full of tv shows that I'm probably never gonna watch again.
I want to print all of my favourite pictures and make photo albums. I used to love photo albums so much as a kid! I want to make collages with tickets and paper wrappings that I've kept from travels and events that I don't want to forget. I want to have stacks of notebooks with the pages filled with pictures and memories and stories. I want to flip through them when I'm sad to remind myself that there are always happy moments.
I want to let go of all my physical possessions. I don't have a home of my own and I move around a lot (and will continue to move around a lot in the foreseeable future). I need my whole life to fit inside a 23kg suitcase. Anything out of this bag can go. I want everything digital. An ebook with 600 books, a phone with virtually unlimited music, computer with virtually unlimited movies and tv shows. I want my life to be light to carry, easy to access.
I want to be free. If I loose it, I loose it. Nothing is permanent anyway.
I want a home full of books! I want a living rooms with shelves all around for books, photo albums, vinyls, CDs, DVDs, and all the aforementioned homemade archived media.
I want everything real, physical, forever.
This is so stupid :)

X/1999 Ending Speculation : Part 3 : The Substitutes
I have decided to break this post into two pieces because I want to talk about some other things before I talk about the Decoys.
Ôkawa Nanase had, apparently, been planning out X/1999 since she was quite young. This implies that several characters who appeared in X/1999 were added part of the way through its development. These are Subaru, Seishirô, Hokuto, Seiichirô, Yûto and the Detectives.
You probably will immediately realise that most of these characters appeared in different series. Subaru, Seishirô, Hokuto and the Detectives are obvious, while Yûto’s previous appearances (in Hagunsei Senki and as a cameo in CGT) are less well known. Seiichirô is the only one of these who first appeared in X/1999, but he did not originate in X/1999, because he is a real person, namely, the editor of X/1999.
Subaru and Seishirô are rather clearly afterthoughts : lots of people have noted that, other than Fûma punching Subaru’s eye out and Kamui’s apprenticeship(?) to Subaru, there is little connection between Subaru and Seishirôs’ storyline and the rest of X/1999, and how Seishirô joining the Dragons of Earth seems a bit OOC for someone supposed to be preserving Japan. (IMO, it would have been better if Subaru and Seishirô had been swapped, with Seishirô fighting for the people of Japan as a job and eventually coming to realise that he wants to protect Subaru and Subaru having become broken by the events of Tokyo Babylon to such an extent that he does not care whether humanity lives or dies, or maybe it would have been better to just give them their own series, or have them be supporting characters who are not Dragons, or something.)
It is also quite clear that the people who were originally supposed to be Dragons in their places were Hinoto and Kanoe. Many readers of X/1999 thought that Hinoto and Kanoe were Dragons, or knew that they were not but counted them around their number anyway. Also, early on (even through Volume 5, where Seishirô was introduced), Hinoto repeatedly refers to the Seven Seals in first person plural, or implies herself to be a member. This seems to suggest that Ôkawa Nanase originally planned for Hinoto and Kanoe to become Dragons in place of the Tôkyô Babylon characters, and still thought of them as Dragons early on in the print run.
The presences of none of the other substitute characters was jarring. This may be because they were added earlier. However, people have noticed that Yûto’s motivations for joining the Dragons of Earth were never really stated in the actual manga, the drama CD, or the anime. Also, completeoveranalysis said that Shougo Asogi (I can see you cringing already) seemed like he should have been the replacement for Yûto, not Kakyô. Maybe COA was wrong about the order of the replacements, and Yûto replaced Shougo? Assuming that Shougo would be more like TRC!Shougo…
… nah, still don’t see this. You know what, just pretend I never mentioned him. Maybe they would explain Yûto better in Volume 21 or something. Maybe he was in the plan for a while longer?
Also, me and a few other people on the Tomoeda discord have grown the giant epileptic tree that Yuna from CCS:CCA was the original Reject Love from X/1999 and that Akiho was also based on a removed Dragon (probably Reject Humanity, maybe Reject Life)
Aoki seems well integrated into the plot, more so than any of the crossover characters except Nokoru. This might be because he entered even earlier than Yûto, or because he replaced a different character with a similar personality (like Miyazaki from the TB OVAs). I also think that whatever character he replaced had the same mutual protection relationship with Karen that he did. Some fans have suspected that he replaced Saiki.
I will talk about the Detectives in a later post.

“99.9~Keiji Senmon Bengoshi”
133.
Title: 99.9 Keiji Senmon Bengoshi (or 99.9 Criminal Lawyer) Genre: Law, Crime, Comedy Season: Spring 2016 TV Station: TBS Theme Song: “Daylight” by Arashi Starring: Jun Matsumoto, Nana Eikura, Teruyuki Kagawa, Jin Katagiri, Ittoku Kishibe Date Finished: July 8, 2020 My Personal Reason for Watching: MatsuJun!!
(^^ “Itadaki-mongoose!”)
99.9% of all criminal case suspects are presumed guilty in Japan. This drama is about the lawyers who try to find the truth and prove the innocent for that .01%. Hiroto Miyama (Matsumoto) is a peculiar lawyer who one day, is hired by Madarame Law Firm. With the help of Atsuhiro Sada (Kagawa), who is adamant about being in charge of criminal cases after years of specializing in civil cases, Ayano Tachibana (Eikura), a pro-wrestling fan who was also dragged into the criminal case world by Madarame (Kishibe), and a team of paralegals, they will fight for the innocent .01% one case at a time.
(^^ You can’t go wrong with these three on the case!)
I’ll get straight to the point—I loved this drama!! The cases were interesting and easy to follow. The comedic relief with Miyama’s oyaji gags and puns were a delight. The main and supporting cast created a great ensemble with nice back-and-forth banter. Crime and law dramas aren’t typically my favorite genre but this was definitely an exception! And the inclusion of delicious looking food made me hungry! This drama had everything and I could not get enough of it!
(^^ Sada enjoying Miyama’s oyaji gags was one of my favorite bits)
I love Jun in these types of roles. It’s so different from his typical romantic lead roles. He always plays the “cool” type, but this shows he has the chops to star in more comedies. I love his dynamic with Teruyuki Kagawa who plays Sada. Sada’s love for the songs by Kanako (Yukino Kishii), a frequent customer of the bar owned by Miyama’s cousin Bando (Takafumi Ikeda) and Miyama fangirl, was so unexpected. Sada purchasing all of her CDs made me LOL.
(^^ “I’ll give you 1 million yen for everything!” Oh Sada Sensei! XD)
I think puns in general are difficult to understand when you don’t have a command of the language (it is word play after all). Also, a general understanding of Japanese pro-wrestling would be nice to have since there are a lot of references due to Tachibana’s love of the genre. Other than that, it is an enjoyable watch and highly recommended!
Favorites: Favorite Character: Miyama or Akashi! I love the dynamic between the two even though Akashi is always the butt of the jokes for not passing his bar exam! Favorite Episode: I loved all the cases and never got tired of the format (where each episode is a different case). Episodes 5 and 6 were tied together for one case and I loved that Tecchan from Terrace House was in it. Episode 7 was different because we already knew who committed the crime in the beginning but had to figure out how Miyama would prove he was guilty. And Miyama was the suspect in Episode 8, so that was entertaining to watch. Episode 9 definitely had a Knives Out feeling to it which I loved. So overall, I guess I liked those episodes the best (that was more than half of the episodes…but I can’t pick just one)! Favorite Scene: Miyama oyaji gag scenes, Sada laughing over Miyama’s oyaji gags…maybe just anything to do with those oyaji gags haha
(^^ “We will! We will…rock you!” Why, Akashi, why?!)
“99.9 Keiji Senmon Bengoshi” Rating: Story: ✭✭✭✭½ Entertaining and engaging throughout! Acting: ✭✭✭✭½ Loved the casting! They all worked well together and chemistry was on point. Theme Song: ✭✭✭✭ Arashi songs never disappoint!
Total: 13/15
Next Up: 99.9 Keiji Senmon Bengoshi II
(^^ See you in season two...too~;D)

Akira Kosemura - Diary 2016-2019 - evocative piano & chamber music by the founder of Schole Records (and incidentally, an exemplar of the label’s aesthetic)

As this album titled as “Diary”, all the tracks are listed in time order, which includes the original sound track for "Konatsu and Hiyori" (Kansai TV Production), a music composed for the ending scene of French movie “Mais vous êtes fous (Losing It)”, a short composition series ‘In Moonlight’ produced during the score production for “Chūgakusei Nikki” (TBS TV Drama), ‘You’ which was used as a theme song for an American TV Drama “Love Is __”, a rework version of ‘Someday’ featuring Devendra Banhart, and 2 unreleased tracks ‘Red Diary’ and ‘Late Night Tales’. With total of 17 songs included in the album. This album can be an introductory piece for piano music lovers, but also can be recommended to soundtrack fans. Matsumoto and Ninomiya ready to marriage, the office will seriously consider it
For idols, severals scandals can be said are fatal injuries.
However, in some cases it is said that marriage is the most popular invitation to bring down the idol image. Therefore, the wedding circumstances of Johnny's talent are more severe than could imagined. "It seems Johnny´s office is not absolutely opposed to marriage but as an office they demand to his talents a good correspondence after the marriage in regarding good gains and good sales: goods and CD, drama and CM, etc. There seems to be many people who hesitate about this condition. Recently Okada married with Miyazaki Aoi and also Morita Go married in succession with Miyazawa Rie. But nonetheless seems to think Arashi got married in the middle of his popularity (Advertising agency official)
But the situation seems has already changed.
Reports said Ninomiya approached to the office executives harder to accept marriage "If it is not accepted, I may quit the office" he said. The office also push Ninomiya and puts his own condition. Marriage will pass only when 20th Anniversary tour has been successfully completed (the same advertising agency official). Speaking of Ninomiya he has a relationship with Ayako Ito since July of '16. In April this year magazines report that couple also living together in Ninomiya condominium (Weekly Women). After she retired from the entertainment industry the relationship becomes more serious in expectation to marry. Ninomiya falling more in love with her when Ito quits her office.(a record company official).
Even marriage can destroy popularity. However Ito was suffering bashing by fans more than necessary. There is no doubt that her "smell" act produce antipathy from the fans. It´s possible office can admitt marriage in despite of suffers more months of headache with too much stuff to concern.
Matsumoto is first, Ninomiya must wait
"As an office, I think that it is impossible for members to marry after the fall next year, when the 20th anniversary year ends. But the first marriage can't be Ito because she is disliked by fans. The image of entire group can destroy.
Instead Matsumoto and Inoue Mao has great reception after 10 years of association. (entertainment professional). Matsumoto and Inoue who co-starred the drama 'Hana yori Dango' (TBS, 2005). Even though relationship started from that time, never ever magazines taken a two-shot.. In the other hand the evaluation from Inoue from the fan is high. the opposite for Ito.
