Tauriel

Wanted interactions: for now only muses from the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies, until I figure out how she'd interact with others. Open to ship with: people she has chemistry with, particularly Legolas (while she'll repress it because "not worthy" at the very least until the end of the events of The Hobbit). Open to ship with Kili too but only if we write their relationship developing in time and it works, since by default I write her as platonically caring for him.

A slow born smile unfurled on Hel's lips. With help, this should be easy.

She signaled to Tauriel to wait as she grabbed something from the purse attatched to her belt. It looked like a small bundle of dried herbs. She then covered her eyes with a hand and pointed at Tauriel, warning her to keep her eyes closed while she dropped it into the fire.

It fell quickly and erupted into smoke just as fast.

Before Tauriel had the chance to motion anything else, Hel slipped from the branch beneath her and landed, her knees bent and her hands on either side of her body. She barely made a sound.

And then. And then, she caught one at the neck, slashing quickly through his throat, his voice box, his jugular. She ducked low as she moved swift and quiet across the ground, cutting ankles as she went.

Various screams, yelps and groans sounded as she went but most emphatically came the thuds. The sounds of heavy bodies on the ground as she felled them. One hand to hold, the other to carve.

        Tauriel had been tracking this party of orcs for some time through the woods, waiting for the opportune moment to strike. She moved through the trees with well-practiced stealth, steps light and careful amongst the brush. Now she crouched on a branch above them, pressed against the trunk, watching them build a fire when a flash of red caught her eye.

        The elf froze, head whipped around to find another woman hiding in the woods across from her. What are you doing? the unfamiliar maiden mouthed, followed shortly by another phrase: Why are you here?

        Tauriel's brow furrowed, a glance cast between the woman and the group of orcs. She thought it was quite obvious why she was there, and what she was doing. These orcs needed dealing with and if no one else would track and kill them, she'd do so herself. Both brows raised, she turned back to the woman, her inquiry clear: Shall we?

I am 23f. But please be aware that although I do try and reply regularly I for one hold a full time monday to friday job in GMT and I also have (currently undiagnosed ADHD) which means if you are someone that is going to get annoyed if I fall off for a week or so this isn't for you. I am looking for a friend and someone who won't make me feel back for rejoining the rp after a brief hiatus if I need one.

She had stopped by the river to collect water, realizing only then she had been humming. She found herself doing so at times when in need to soothe herself after something had made her heart race in a way that was unbecoming for a guard, let alone a captain. But too often she was prey of her own emotions, and had to walk away. "I know when I'm being followed," she finally spoke up, turning enough to look above her shoulder. "Come out."

Legolas had always been an anxious young elf when it came to others, he didn't easily make friends but he blamed a lot of that on his father because he was so cold. Most did not want to risk being around Legolas since they didn't want to displease the king of Mirkwood. Tauriel was different, she seemed to see him differently and didn't judge him on his father. He had always loved that about her and how she often went against his wishes in order to keep Legolas close.

His eyes met with the she-elf as a slight smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "do not worry yourself on what my father will say, we are doing all we can to protect Mirkwood" he spoke softly and gave her a soft nod. "of course I can, i've barley seen you today. Its been lonely here without you" he spoke softly and gave her an innocent smile.

tauriel felt legolas' presence long before the elven prince had spoken. there was a smile on her lips as she turned her attention towards him, a gleam in her eyes. they had grown closer and closer together over the past century. but there was always that voice in her head, telling her to be cautios. he was a prince, and she a lowly silvan elf. whereas sindarins were known to have mingled with the silvan elves, and legolas was all but a silvan elf by now, there was still the fact that he was a prince. one day, he would inherit the kingdom of mirkwood. the king himself, had approached tauriel about this subject. still she refuses to see herself as anything more than a dear friend of the prince. “ i was not gone that long. have you missed me so, cónin? ” her words might be teasing, but she meant them affectionately. she walked slowly towards him, the warmth radiating from her seemingly increasing the closer she got. “ it is getting uneasy out there. more and more of those creatures crawling about . . . the king will not be pleased, ” she knew that neither would legolas. she reached out, placing a hand on his shoulder. “ i must debrief. will you join me? ” as captain, her duties came first. but that didn't mean she didn't enjoy spenidng time with him, either. tauriel had few friends, and legolas was her dearest.

what’s the best thing about shipping for you?

It's strange really, you'd think it would be the romance, hell you'd think I'd love romance novels and such but actually adventure is where my heart lies and movies it's always been about fantasy adventure. What I love about shipping though is the journey. I love the different ways people fall in love with each other and I've rped quite a lot of them. I love going into interactions adamant about not shipping and then it just happens naturally. I think all the ships I've loved the most though have been the unexpected ones, ones I never could have seen coming in a million years. I just love writing people falling in love, I don't know why. I suppose it's an adventure of it's own in a way. Also at heart I'm a real big believer in the love conquers all thing.

6. do you have any ship bias with your muse?

TBH, I think with Maria it's absolutely one thing I've learnt not to have. She has certain tastes, and things she generally doesn't find attractive - like she'd never fall in love with anyone younger than her. But some of the ships she's had in the past have honestly just surprised me so much that I gave up any kind of bias pretty quickly I would say. I also feel with shipping it very much comes down to chemistry so there's no character (that fit her criteria) that I could see myself being like ABSOLUTELY NOT about. That being said Maria is definitely a lot more attracted to more dominant/domineering male characters. If they have the energy that they could take charge she'll be doing the 0.0 eyes.

7. what do you think about OC x canon ships? would you play any?

I play an OC so it would be pretty strange of me not to play them! I adore OC x Canon ships though and I've always written/read fanfic of them.

15. what’s your OTP when it comes to your muse?

God I have several. Multiship means they all have their own verses and such so it makes the OTP thing a bit less complicated. That being said here are some of my favourite ships pre 2017, that I wrote for Maria (half of these blogs are deleted/inactive now - with the exception of admiralchristopherpike). Maria x Pike (AOS) - Maria x Spock (AOS) - Maria x Bones (AOS) - Maria x Scotty (AOS) - Maria x Jim Gordon (Nolan) - Maria x Alfred (Gotham) - Maria x Andy Bernard (The Office) - Maria x Sherlock (BBC) - Maria x Bruce Banner (MCU) - There was also a gorgeous OC called Sam and that was an adorable ship but I forget the full name!

20. is there a ship you wanted to play, but couldn’t yet?

I've written a lot of fanfic in my days and generally speaking, I've tended towards pairing Maria with obscure characters or characters who rarely seemed to get RP'd so I often just write the fanfic. There are ships that I ponder on, that seem like they could be fun for Maria but honestly in the end it all comes down to chemistry and portrayal.

23. have you ever been pushed to ship something?

Yes, twice - once on Maria the first time, I was so new to rping too I just sort of pushed past my own discomfort. Then once on Tauriel which I gave a hard pass too and was stalked b/c of it. I may have had it on male muses once or twice but I don't really remember.

27. did you ever play a wedding?

Yes a few times actually! Pike and Maria, pretty sure Bruce and Maria were married, pretty sure Andy and Maria were definitely married. Then Briar and Scotty got married which was adorable, we turned that into like an event for our little rp circle.

33. what’s the first ship you played?

The timelines getting a bit jumbled in my head and I know that before this there were a few because I think I was part of a OUAT rp group but the first real one I think was Maria x Bruce Banner.

38. how easily does your muse get crushes?

Stupidly easily, if something even resembles a meet cute she's probably crushing. If someone just says something that catches her attention the right way and makes her look at them in a certain light, she'll catch a crush.

39. does your muse have a celebrity crush?

Alan Grant from Jurassic Park - the movie - so I suppose Sam Neill. Also though Jim Dale from the Carry On Films, Harrison Ford, Cary Grant, Gene Kelly, Sean Connery (The Rock/Entrapment/LoXG) and of course Colin Firth!

"Fili!" Kili bellowed as he stepped out of hiding, Thorin yelling at him to turn around, to run, to not look, but he couldn't tear his eyes away as Azog skewered his brother. Kili felt his heart stop, felt such pain and agony he was sure he'd die instantly.

Fili's soft gasp was nearly inaudible except Azog had made damned sure all were silent enough to hear it. The sound itself had pierced Kili worse than the blade now sticking out through his chest. He could see the bloodied point even as he staired up at his brother whose eyes even now dimmed as death wraped him in a warm embrace. The elder dwarf was falling and Kili couldn't move from the blade that was through his own back.

His brother was falling and he couldn't catch him, he couldn't move, he felt the blood that bubbled from between his own lips as breathing became hard. His body was in pain, but it was nothing compaired to the agony in his soul.

Fili, his brother, his everything, was dead and his body dropped like a crumb swiped from his beard. FAlling, falling, Fili was dead and he was falling. Kili dind't know how he'd survive without Fili. He'd neve known a day with out the golden haired dwarf, never suffered a day without him at his side, never had joys that weren't shared. He'd never even considered having a lover that didn't accept that Fili was a part of him. His brother was integril to who he was, and now Fili was gone.

The life had left those once striking blue eye before the blade had pulled out, and Kili finally screamed his own death at the loss of his brother. But a strong golden ahired elf Kili recognized as Lady Glorfindel jumped from a ledge, grabbed his brother and holding a rope ended up dissapearing back into the tower. It was all seconds long, but it had felt like years to Kili. He needed to get to Fili- he ahd not a single other thought. His brother was dead and he needed to be by his side!

Stumbling forward the blade pulled out with a slick sound and he collapsed in a pool of his own blood, turning to see Bolg - the defilers offspring, leering over him. In the distance Tauriel cried out and Kili finally felt bad for playing her. He's flirted and wooed her and while he did find her pleasing and liked her in a way, he realized it was nowhere near the love he had considered or even the interest he'd genuinely thought he had. It wasn't real and he knew it instantly.

Instead there was another elf's face that had flashed in his mind. Someone unexpected that he'd let his eyes linger on several times since first seeing them. As Bolg grabbed the dwarf's leg to tug him and - to his dawning horror - bring him somewhere else, he thought the very blonde elf he was thinking of stood there now to fight the monsterous orc.
