haha okay so we gotta time travel back to like.... 2013 for this one. total drama all stars had recently wrapped up, the total drama fandom hated it, and everyone was debating whether mike was an ableist representation of DID or not. like, writing-letters-to-fresh-tv levels of intense. i took it way too seriously, i regret it, i'm sure most of my then-peers do as well.

enter a blogger named tasha-loves-duncney. she defends mike and makes fun of sjws, calls them bitches, reblogs personal/vent posts to insult the OP, is basically a troll through-and-through. it escalated to her making blatantly fake asks from popular TD tumblr users, running targeted hate blogs with names like "kill the td populars," editing people's selfies... again, running the whole mean girl gamut. she became so iconic that people started making troll blogs imitating her. she got in trouble for harassing someone and threatening to reveal their personal info, only for it to turn out to be a sideblog of hers. probably her most iconic moment was when someone told her to "fly away" after she commented on their post and she freaked out claiming it was insulting as she was bullied for looking like a bird in high school. this was after she had called everyone bitches and sent death threats.

eventually after a year she came back as a user named "tashalovesnirvana" and picked fights with the same tumblr users again. this resulted in the iconic "i'm a jaded teenage girl" copypasta. (winnerchallenged was a popular TD user at the time and tasha had very frequently harassed him specifically.) this blew up and she became famous without anybody knowing her total drama fandom roots. at some point i guess she got into a feud with someone named whitegirlsaintshit and copied her url and shit and that's how she went out.

in short, she's a grade-A troll from an era when we didn't know better than to feed them, and the jury is still out on whether she was even a teenage girl at all, though she definitely seemed jaded.

A: dooley! I love his relationships with bree and chase, as well as him and kaz being besties. i think he would add enough sunshine to the team too, because the more sunshine-y characters already on the team are somewhat edgy. he absolutely would be traumatized by sharing a home with people who kiss his big siblings on the mouth though lol

A: i love the ship outside of my universe and totally get the appeal :D however brylar is more important to my rewrite and it's too weird because horace adopted skylar and douglas is bree's biological dad

A: yes and no. it's complicated lol. daniel is biologically their brother, but they view him as a cousin and he does the same. it's like that with marcus too (if marcus wasn't evil) daniel calls tasha aunt and douglas dad, while the rats call tasha mom and douglas douglas lmao

essentially when building their family tree they go less by genetics and more by emotional connection, which is why leo is referred to as their brother and daniel isn't (which he's fine with) they used to view donald as their dad and douglas as their uncle, but the line blurred after aijaf so douglas has a weird mix of the roles now (he felt more paternal than uncle affection for them, naomi and leo included, way before but didn't want to step on the kids' toes)

Q: were Kaz nd Skylar pranking Logan

A: oh yes. they embellished adam's overprotectiveness very intentionally for their entertainment (I assume you're asking about the scene where they talk about adam threatening them)

Zero related to jjk but „the poppy war“ is my latest obsession and I have so many thoughts about this trilogy. Literally went through all emotions a human being is capable of. My life feels empty after finishing the books.

Oh, I've read these. Quite genuinely threw the second book across the room at one point, raged, made myself a cup of tea, and came back to finish it 😂😂💀 It was near the end. I'm sure you can guess when I did this.

Mr Haitch and I recommend the Daevabad Trilogy by S.A.Chakraborty, Empire of Sand by Tasha Suri, and The Watchmaker of Filigree Street (and its sequel) by Natasha Pulley.

We also felt this way after finishing The Poppy War trilogy 💀💕

Tasha sits on the couch, a movie playing on the TV, but she's not paying too much attention to it, most of her attention focused on painting her left hand, the nail polish shaky in her non dominant hand.

She hears footsteps and looks up to see Douglas, tapping away on one of Donald's tablets.

"Oh, are you doing your nails! Do you have any remover, mine are chipped to all shit!" Douglas drops the tablet on the couch and sits next to her, waving his chipped black nail polish at her. She sets her nail polish down and hands Douglas her nail polish remover and he grabs a tissue and starts scrubbing at his nails.

"Do you want me to paint your right hand?" Douglas asks after a beat, the movie droning on in the background. "I'm ambidextrous, so it's never been a problem, but an ex of mine in college always hated doing his left hand, so I started doing his nails for him. I'm pretty good, too." Tasha sighs.

"Please. I hate painting my own nails, honestly, but I hate looking at bare nails even more."

Douglas laughs and takes the bottle from Tasha, grabbing her hand lightly and starting to paint the first coat nimbly.

"So, what happened to your ex?" Tasha asks, hiding the smirk on her face.

"Oh, he was an absolute douchebag, cheated on me with one of my friends at the time." Douglas motions for her to blow on her nails to dry the first coat.

"Sounds like a dick." Tasha says, inspecting Douglas' handiwork. He barks a laugh, motioning for her to give him her hand back.

"Oh, he was. One time, I planned a whole date for us, like nice restaurant and everything, and he stood me up!"

"He did not!"

"He did!"

9. Could you be roommates with this character?

It might work out haha. Iirc it was implied when she was staying with Reade that she is not so tidy, and neither am I (although I draw a big distinction between "clean" and "tidy" - I do keep things clean beneath the clutter). So at least in that sense we wouldn't drive each other up the wall. However I think we're both fairly stubborn and while easygoing about many things, when we do have an opinion I think it is An Opinion, so there is a good potential for some butting of heads lol

10. Could you be best friends with this character?

I'm not sure about that. Beyond being untidy and stubborn I don't think we have a ton in common. We like different sports, very different professional interests and expertise, etc. None of that is deal breakers for a friendship, so it's possible. But I think it would only happen if we were forced to spend enough time, maybe by a mutual friend or some project or other circumstance, to get past the initial "I don't know how to make small talk with you" phase and into appreciating each other's actual personality, values etc.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

Um so, my brain is about as robust as wet spaghetti recently. I spent a few hours mulling this in the background and I am 97% sure I had an interesting headcanon for Zapata (I think around season 3ish?), but hell if I can remember what it was right now. 😅 If I remember it or think of a different one, I'll reblog again lol

14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.

I will be honest I know very little about fashion. She dressed well and wore it well, at least once she joined CIA. Maybe we could call it, business chic? In seasons 1 and 2 she and Jane were both a little more on the sporty side, weren't they? But that was cool for them, too. Very different show after season 2. Professionals instead of rookies.
