Summary: Spencer is sent to prison and is waiting on his team to get him out. Meanwhile, his partner is there for morale support.

Never in a million years did she think she would be in this position. Getting a call from Emily in the middle of the night was not what she expected. But to be told that her husband is currently in federal custody and awaiting trial, that was another. But she took it as it came. There was nothing she could do for her husband except just to be there for him. She would never be able to get the image of him in handcuffs in the BAU out of her head, but she was glad she was able to hug him.

“Spence. Oh my Spence.” She hugged him over the handcuffs that were hidden with the jacket. His fingertips were just barely able to grasp on to her shirt to pull her as close as physically possible.

“Hey honey. I’m sorry you have to see me like this. How’s my mom?” He whispered into her ear. Spencer was thankful that everyone decided to keep a healthy distance as the husband and wife reunited.

“She’s good. Wondering when you’re coming home, but I am helping Cassie take care of her. I don’t care about seeing you handcuffed, sweetheart. I’m just glad I can see you and hold you.” Her reply made Spencer want to cry. He knew it was not fair to her to have to deal with this whole situation. Stepping back, she pressed a sweet kiss to his lips and tried to convey all of the lover she felt into that kiss. Pulling away completely, she watched as he accepted embraces from his teammates.

If only they knew at the time, how much of a roller coaster this was going to be. She sat on the prison bus waiting to be taken to the facility. Being able to see her husband was wonderful, except for the fact that she would be sitting across from him in a cubicle, with a sheet of glass separating them. The bus ride was bumpy, but thankfully it was over quick. Stepping off, her hair was swept away in the windy weather outside.

Walking inside the correctional facility, her eyes kept scanning the room, looking for any threats. A side effect from working for the FBI all those years ago. Now, it only served as a reminder of where she had once been, and of how her husband became that title. She walked up to the reception desk and placed her id down.

“Inmate name?” The officer asked. Her voice was devoid of any emotion.

“Spencer Reid. I’m his wife.” She supplied her name, and waited as the officer scanned a list and then her ID again.

“You’re not on the list. Next!” The officer yelled, pushing the woman off to the side. She stood there dumbfounded as she was handed back her ID, but knew better than to fight with the officer. Her body, especially her heart felt numb as she walked outside and waited for the bus to take her back to the car lot. Why was she denied access to see her husband? JJ was able to see him; so why was she not?

After the numbness wore off, rage fueled her. It kept her going all the way to the FBI headquarters where she signed in for a visitor’s pass silently. Marching her way into the BAU’s office on the sixth floor, she noticed how everyone was still there thankfully. She made her way over to JJ, who was surrounded by Tara, Matt, and Stephen.

“Hey,” JJ greeted, ”how are you doing?”

“Don’t give me that.” She snapped, leaving the agents in a state of shock. Never had she ever snapped, not even raised her voice.

“Whoa, what is going on?” The blonde woman asked, holding her hands up in surrender.

“Did you know?” Mrs. Reid growled, with her patience wearing thin.

“Did I know what? You’re not making any sense.” JJ tried to reason and de escalate the situation, but Emily and David were already out of their offices and looking out at the bullpen.

“Did you know when you went to visit Spence that he had put me on the ‘no visit’ list?” There it was. The million dollar question. JJ remained silent for a minute, but her face did the talking before her words caught up.

“Listen, you have to understand his reasons.” She tried to reach for the woman, but she slipped out of the way.

“You knew? And you didn’t tell me? I just got back from there, hoping to see my husband and check in on him. Only to be turned away at the gate. And you never told me?” Now, she was yelling. It was scary to see the former profiler turned professor yell. She spoke sternly sometimes sure, but she never raised her voice in anger.

“He wants to protect you from the inside. Spence asked us not to tell.” A slip of the tongue and now her fury was leveled to everyone.

“You all knew?” Prentiss and Rossi made their way down the stairs by this point.

“Yes, we did.” The dark haired agent said, walking along with her right hand man.

“Spencer doesn’t want you to see him like that so he asked if we would not tell you that he had put you on that list.” Emily placed her hand on the woman, and it was like her strings were cut. Rage left and was followed by intense depression. Sobs wracked her body as she crumpled to the floor. Emily tried to grab her, but Luke was the one that actually got his arms around her.

There was nothing left for her now. Everything came crashing down around her; her world was shattered. She thought about every interaction that she had ever had with Spencer. There were probably some that she was missing, but she was not blessed with his memory skills. But every major moment came to her at that time. The first time they met, their first date, when he introduced her to his mom, their proposal and wedding. Rubbing her stomach, she wondered when she would wake from this nightmare and be safe in her husband’s arms once again.

I just wanted to get a feel for what people what to read. Personally I think that Emily Prentiss is totally Gay, but if she were to be put with some one on the team it would definitely be Hotch.

Zoe's Timeline (SPOILERS! DO NOT READ IF YOU WANT TO AVOID SPOILERS FOR MY VALENTÍA)

*I tried to keep certain things vague; Some years are different.*

*Some characters' birthdays are their actors' birthday just to establish it. A Tumblr post says that they mention Garcia was born in 1977 but in earlier seasons, she talks to Spencer in Tabula Rasa, saying "You're young. The eighties left a lot of people confused." She's referring to a gothy picture of high school Prentiss but that's not the point, the point is Garcia is implying to be a bit older than four years older than Spencer, and Morgan was born in 1974 which makes you think that she's around his age, so I just changed it to 1975 plus that's the same year that Adam Rodriguez was born.*

I am working my way back to the season twelve finale, I had finished only the first episode of the two parter but I went on vacation for my mom's birthday and when I tried to finish the second part, my car DVD player stopped working and I'm the sort of person who will avoid big change in TV shows, it took me a full year to even start the final season of Parks and Recreation and I don't want to see how Spencer changes so I procrastonate my procrastination (watching Criminal Minds instead of doing other things) Anyways, but I tried to keep major characters involved. You know Alex Blake, Kate Callahan, Stephen Walker, Tara Lewis and I know in season thirteen Matt Simmons joins the team. I'm hesitant to watch Evolution because Spencer's not in it but there's still hope he'll come back, though last year I did meet Matthew Gray Gubler in New York in that car he was driving with a giant green hand and we chased him down to a stop light and he gave me a free copy of his book that we later saw at the New York bookstore we always go to as being thirty bucks.*

This may be under constant construction and dates may slip and slide. October 28, 1985 — Zarah Carina Noble-Valdez is born in Quantico, Virgina; Zelena, still in labor and the unborn Zoe are kidnapped by the same psychotic axe murderer Zelena had been chasing.

October 31, 1985 — Alexander finds Zelena and Zoe; Zelena dies from multiple axe wounds to the chest while the UnSub gets away; Xiomara "Zoe" Noble-Valdez is born due to a post-mortem C-section in Quantico, Virginia, initially as a stillborn due to the conditions but is successfully resuscitated but quickly diagnosed with a heart defect.

November 1, 1985 — Zoe is diagnosed with having transportation of the great arteries (TGA) A serious, rare heart problem in which the two main arteries carrying blood out of the heart are reversed, at most giving her a year to live without correction surgery.

November 7, 1985 — In Quantico, Virginia, At one week old, Zoe receives open-heart surgery for transposition of the great arteries (TGA) and survives to live a relatively “normal” life, although with possible heart failure problems later in life

Hayden only relays this information to Alexander Noble which is overheard and understood by his one-year-old daughter Zoe Noble-Valdez who had by now developed the cognitive understanding of an eight-year-old with her high IQ and exceptional memory.

December 12, 1987 — Joy Montgomery is born and only Zoe and Alexander remain aware of her true father’s identity.

October 13, 1988 — Riley Jenkins is found dead in Las Vegas; Zoe and Zarah go to spend some time with Kalypso Valdez (who suffers from Schyzotypal Personality Disorder) and her family in Las Vegas; Two-year-old Zoe goes missing in park, presumably kidnapped, causing seven-year-old Kalypso to have a Schyzotypal psychotic break due to the immediate stress and fear during this traumatic experience; late that Zoe is found by Las Vegas local.

1989 — Alexander has no choice but to leave Zoe with his father for a month while Zarah gets treatments from the hospital; he returns to find his four-year-old daughter severely injured with her ribs broken and not breathing due to a heart failure and Cain is forbidden from ever being near her again.

1990 — Zoe and Zarah Noble-Valdez take the ACTs due to their high intelligence, Zoe additionally takes the CLT.

1991 — William Reid leaves Diana and Spencer Reid; Zoe meets Emily Prentiss through Maze Valdez and Alexander Noble; Zoe and Zarah start advanced dual college classes along with elementary.

1992 — Zoe and Zarah receive Criminology degrees at age seven

1992 — Seventeen-year-old Rosalyn Jareau gives eleven-year-old JJ her necklace; Eleven-year-old JJ finds seventeen-year-old Rosalyn Jareau in the bathtub, having committed suicide with her father’s razors, JJ freezes up for about ten minutes, unable or unwilling to comprehend what she’s seeing.

February 13, 1998 — Hotch’s serial killer intends for twelve-year-old Zoe to be his twenty-first kill but finds that she has no fear in her eyes which (disgustingly) fascinates and intrigues him. (Yeah, I know, gross, but if you know who I’m talking about he’s a sick guy, basically it's an even creepier meeting of Crazy Jane and Frank, only illegal, disgusting, and one-sided; Also I think he only killed twenty before making the deal.)

February 13-18, 1998 — Twelve-year-old Zoe is held captive by the serial killer, her five-day absense is relatively unnoticed by the BAU on account of Alexander lying for the safety of his daughter’s return. Zoe is found outside of a Boston hospital with deep knife wounds (not stab wounds), bruises, broken bones, and drugs in her system. Alexander somehow manages to keep her injuries secret from the BAU.

March 1998 (Six weeks after the “deal with the devil” was made) — Zoe Noble-Valdez has weekly therapy sessions with Karl Arnold who she sasses and profiles constantly before deciding she doesn’t like the vibe she gets off of Karl Arnold.

1998 — Zoe and Zarah receive physical science and counseling degrees at age thirteen; Zoe also receives a nursing degree, intending to be the medical doctor on the team.

November 1998 — Zoe Noble-Valdez makes her first kill in self-defense for her sister.

December 15, 1998 — Tracy Belle is born in Texas

1999 — Zoe receives computer science and physics degrees at age fourteen. Zarah receives human services and arts and humanities degrees at age fourteen.

2000 — Zoe receives toxicology, pharmacology, and chemistry degree.  Zarah receives an anthropology degree at age fifteen.

Sometime after October 12, 2000 — Now eighteen and eligible to pursue his career in the FBI, Spencer Reid, knowing that without him his mother, Diana Reid wouldn't be able to take care of herself, admits her to a mental institution, Bennington Sanitarium.

October 15, 2001 — Zoe Noble-Valdez manages to escape with no memory of how. Zoe is reunited with Alexander Noble but refuses to go to the BAU .

Late 2001/Early 2002 — Derek Morgan is recruited by the BAU (Doesn't meet Zoe due to her being busy getting her degrees, finishing school, and medical school and by request is not named to avoid later accusations of nepotism)

March, 2002 — Zoe gets a biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and neurobiology degrees.

June 3, 2002 — Zoe finishes high school, has a psychotic break due to grief, guilt, and  seven months of rumors about what happened to Zarah and bullying; Zoe gets degrees in computer science, behavioral science, philosophy, and pharmacology degrees, starting to over-over achieve to distract herself, all at age sixteen

September 1, 2002 — Zoe starts medical school

2004 — Penelope Garcia is recruited by the BAU for her coding skills as an alternative to jail time for hacking; Spencer Reid is recruited to the BAU at the age of twenty-two/twenty-three.

2004 — The Blue Ridge Killer plummets off a roof and hits his head, somehow surviving but in a coma. (Also, you’d think Gideon would be there or they could’ve placed it during Gideon’s six month medical leave)

August 14, 2004 — Zoe is kidnapped by terrorists and tortured by a prison front for terrorists.

2004-2005 — JJ is recruited as the media liaison for the BAU

February 13, 2005 — Zoe is rescued from corrupt prison by Maze resulting in most of the corrupt guards/terrorists being brutally murdered

April 3, 2005 — Jason Gideon goes on medical leave; Hotch is promoted to unit chief

April 13, 2005 — Zoe interviews for the BAU by Aaron "Hotch" Hotchner, newly promoted to Unit Chief after Gideon's medical leave of absence; Zoe meets Spencer Reid and impresses him with her intellect

April 3, 2005 — Jason Gideon goes on medical leave for six months; Hotch is promoted to unit chief.

April 13, 2005 — Zoe Noble-Valdez interviews for the BAU with Aaron "Hotch" Hotchner.

May 1, 2005 — Zoe's first day at the BAU; Zoe meets Spencer Reid for the first time a second time.

Notes (Colored merely to show they're different notes from the ones before): Alexander Noble’s birthday — September 29 — It's been a while since I wrote this down so I googled David Tennant september 29 and what came up was that the first episode of Season two of the revival of Doctor Who, called "New Earth" aired which was the first episdoe where David Tennant could really be the Doctor for the full episode as he was in a coma for most of "Christmas Invasion". Isobel Noble's birthday — May 29 — The day Karen Gillan was announced by portray Amelia “Amy” Pond in Doctor Who Mazikeen “Maze” Valdez's birthday — January 25 — In the season three episode of Lucifer, The City of Angels? It takes place on January 25, 2011 and it’s about Lucifer’s first days on Earth of his “vacation” of eternity of ruling Hell (or at least according to the Lucifer Timeline page on Lucifer Wikia (too lazy to watch the full episode and keep an eye out to see if the date is mentioned and I multitask too much to) For Will LaMontagne's birthday, I wanted to be a bit more original than just using the actor, Josh Stewart's birthday, plus he was born in 1977 which would make him several years older than JJ, I wanted their ages to be more similar but, since Will was introduced in "Jones" with an Unsub copying Jack the Ripper, I used the alleged date that sources claim a letter first used the term "Jack the Ripper" I feel like it's worse that Emily and Spencer have the same birthday—October twelfth—yet they still forget his thirtieth birthday and it's not like they had never celebrated it before. They celebrated it in the fourth episode of the whole series! If I were them, I would just feel like the worst friends because presumably Spencer's mother who often didn't know what day of the week it was, dismissed her doctor's suggestions (because "he's a Neanderthal"), and once had a schizophrenic episode so bad she didn't notice her son had been missing for a whole night when he was tied to the school field due to some horrible bullies, you can assume he didn't get to celebrate his birthday too much after his dad left when he was ten. I would just fee like the worst friend ever.

Maeve Donovan's birthday — September 21 — Maeve's birthday is the date that psychologist and behavior geneticist, Kathryn Paige Harden's book, The Genetic Lottery: Why DNA Matters For Social Equality was published, plus September was the month that "The Narrative of John Smith" was published. (I was going to use July 19 after the birthdate of Nancy Wexler who learned a Ph.D. in Psychology but chose to instead work in the field of genetics. I don't really know who either of these women are though, I don't really understand genetics like I do psychology—Ironic since just last semester I took a class called "Developmental psychology" or not ironic at all (Developmental psychology is pretty much about psychology as we grow and the psychological concepts that we go through and the bonds we form) but I tried to find a woman who had work in both fields of genetics and psychology. I did find a geneticist and psychologist named Robert Joseph Plomin and Gregor Mendel who I KNOW was in my developmental psychology class, despite him seeming to be firmly in the world of genetics with some overlap in psychology but I don't want to sign into my school account, it's whole ordeal and they make it so overly complicated (for privacy reasons but still, it's annoying. So thanks to an influx of new followers and from different fandoms and interesting requests I’ve been getting I figured it was needed to repost this.

summary - in which the team finds out you and tara are engaged

you and tara were both over the moon walking into work on monday.

the past weekend had been nothing short of pure love and bliss. no work meant spending the entire weekend together at your shared apartment; whether cooking or just relaxing, you were more than thankful for the time together.

saturday was an easy highlight; you had gained both a fiancé and a new ring to symbolize it.

tara had asked you that night, pulling you close to her while you cooked dinner and asked you simply, ‘marry me?’

you weren’t sure if you heard her correctly at first, choosing to carefully put the spoon you were using to stir to the side.

you spun around, resting your back against the counter with your eyes still focused on tara. her hands found their way to your waist once more, her eyes finally meeting yours. “what?” you asked.

“marry me,” tara echoed.

a grin immediately formed on your face. you surged forward, pressing your lips to tara’s out of pure joy. the moment didn’t long as you couldn’t stop smiling and tara had started laughing quietly at your reaction.

“so is that a yes?”

you nodded, “that’s a yes.”

tara kissed you again, both of you overjoyed at the events that had just happened. she gave you the ring a few minutes later, disappearing into your bedroom before returning with a small velvet box.

“i’ve had this for awhile now, it’s just been in our beside table. i’m honestly suprised you haven’t found it yet,” tara spoke, slowly opening up the box.

your smile returned as tara shakily slipped the ring onto your left ring finger, making your answer to her question just a few minutes ago official. “it’s perfect,” you commented.

“i love you so much.”

“i love you too.”

afterwards, both you and tara agreed to play a little game with the team to see who would be the first to notice and when they would say something. you thought it wouldn’t be somethint they could miss, there was a whole diamond on your left ring finger, but some people on the team were obviously better at picking up on small details then others.

there weren’t any official bets, though you did have suspicions on who would notice both first and last. you couldn’t wait for monday morning.

rossi noticed first, emily almost directly after him.

you needed to get rossi to sign off on one of the files, it was the least he could do since he rarely did paperwork. much to your suprise, tara was in there too; her and the older agent talking about something with cars.

“hey rossi, can you sign this so i can bring it to emily,” you greeted.

“you’re asking a lot from me kid.”

as you had handed the file over, his hand hit ours in the exchange. rossi’s eyebrows furrowed slightly before his eyes focused on your hand. a grin quickly broke out in the italian mans face.

“is that what i think it is?” he asked first and foremost. tara turned to you. “yes it is,” she confirmed.

rossi stood up. “congratulazioni to you both,” he hugged you first, kissing both of your cheeks befor doing the same with tara. “can’t believe two more of my work kids are growing up and getting married. feels like just yesterday when you two met.”

you laughed at rossi’s only slightly overexaggerated nostalgia. “come on rossi, we’re more than work kids and you know it.”

“rossi you know we talked about the party thing,” emily spoke, announcing her presence from the doorway. 

“well emily, the two lovebirds here are finally engaged and we were just celebrating,” he turned to you. “i definitely owe you both champagne at some point.”

“you’re engaged?”

for the second time that day, you and tara nodded, this confirming what emily had asked. the unit chief grinned before, much like rossi, hugged you both tightly. “congratulations you two,” she smiled.

that meant two down and five to go.

spencer and j.j. had both congratulated you privately, not making as big of a commotion as rossi and emily had.

it was right before you and tara were heading out after the usual work day was over. while you were grabbing your bag, spencer picked up on it and j.j. has found out from you. there had been hugs of course and smiles too.

now only matt, garcia, and luke had yet to take note of your new milestone.

matt finding out had been fairly accidental. you were up in the conference room pinning photos on the board when he entered on the phone with kristy.

you quickly put down one of the magnets and waited as it was evident he needed to talk to you.

“kristy wants to know if i can send her a picture of your nails. she wants to get the same color at her appointment this afternoon,” matt explained. you pressed your lips together, trying to hide the smile tugging at the corners of your mouth.

“of course,” you answered, holding your hands. you narrowed your eyes at seeing matt have absolutely no reaction when he took the photo. it was only after he was going to send it that he realized.

when the agent had zoomed in to make sure the color had picked up properly, his head shot up.

“no way,” matt spoke. “tara finally proposed?”

you nodded, showing him your left hand which proudly displayed the grin. you laughed as matt hugged you tightly with a ‘congratulations!’

“you’re the fifth one to notice,” you informed him once you pulled away.

“who hasn’t noticed?” matt inquired.

“luke and garcia.”

matt chuckled, shaking his head slightly at that. “well good luck. i honestly wouldn’t be surprised if those two didn’t notice until they got the wedding invitations.”

you nodded. “i wouldn’t either.”

neither of you were suprised luke was one of the last to figure it out, he usually wasn’t great at noticing those kind of things.

however, his congratulations had been one of the sweetest.

you and tara were in the break room during the time you were given to eat lunch. the bullpen was pretty much empty, most of the agents either out of the office entirely or on a different floor.

for the rest of the team, most of them were out as well. rossi, spencer, j.j., garcia, and emily were all downtown at some new restaurant. you and tara had been invited, of course, but declined as you both had some work to finish up.

tara stood at the counter making coffee for you both while you were at the main table going over one of the files. “you know, paperwork isn’t that bad. i just hate how long it takes,” you commented.

luke entered the break room before tara could respond, greeting you both with a raise of the eyebrows.

“hey t-bird.”

“watch it alvez,” tara warned playfully.

he too went off to the counter to grab a mug for coffee. “what are you two up to?” he asked, making small talk. “nothing much, just helping tara with her caseload.”

“well aren’t you a good girlfriend.”

you and tara both wanted to laugh at that. your ring wasn’t even hidden, you hadn’t even tried from the begining. luke just was usually oblivious.

“hey luke, what would you say if i told you y/n and i weren’t girlfriends anymore?” tara asked.

“you aren’t together anymore?” luke exclaimed with a down.

you put your pen down, “quite the opposite actually.” as if a lightbulb went off in his head, luke dropped everything he was doing to react. his eyes darted from tara to you and back again, waiting to see if you were lying.

when it was clear you weren’t, luke hugged tara first and then you. “was i the last one to know? i feel like i was the last one to know,” he rushed out.

“penelope doesn’t know,” you revealed.

luke’s mouth dropped slightly. “that isn’t going to go down well. i’m just happy it wasn’t me. you know how i am with these kind of things. “yeah we do.”

the entire team, minus penelope, were gathered in the center of the bullpen around the desks. it was one of the rare moments where you were actually able to take a break.

you were sitting on tara’s lap, legs hooked over hers as you talked with spencer about some book he was reading and recommended to you.

“oh my god.”

tara spun her chair around, still holding onto you tightly, to discover the owner of the voice.

it was none other than penelope who was standing just a few feet away by luke’s desk, holding her laptop in hand and mouth agape. “when did you say yes?” penelope exclaimed.

“last saturday,” you answered. “and i didn’t know? you didn’t tell me?”

“well penelope,” tara spoke, “we didn’t tell anyone really. everyone found out on their own and by themselves. you’re the only one who hasn’t noticed yet.”

penelope sighed, “well i’m very happy for you and congratulations, you know i love you both, but when’s the wedding? what are your outfits going to be? we should already be planning to be honest.”

“woah woah woah,” tara started. “it’s been a week. we just want to enjoy being engaged for a little bit before any serious wedding plans.

you nodded, presssing your cheek against tara’s with a soft smile on your face. you kept one hand in your lap casually and the other running across tara’s shoulder.

penelope was clearly in a bit of disbelief at that. “can i at least be excited? this is the first bau wedding since morgan and even that was a few years ago and i’ve just been planning ever since-”

you listened to penelope go on about your future wedding, rossi even piped in about location details. as for the rest of the team, they joined the conversation as well though the topic switched extremely quickly.

tara turned to you as luke started talking about something with roxy and the others.

“are you good?”

you kissed her cheek gently, “i’ve never been happier.”

Spencer and and the team have a family dinner at Rossi’s, Tara has invited her younger sister, and the team soon discover that boy wonder and Dr y/n Lewis have a lot in common

"Tara I promise you I'm not gonna be late I'm only a few minutes away I'll be there soon"

"Okay y/n you better be or your going to be the one to wake all this dishes at Rossi's"

"Yeah I'm not doing that I'll be there any second now"

Tara had decided to invite me to one of Rossi's infamous dinner parties, Tara and I haven't seen each other for 9 months since hat may not seem like a lot but we are extremely close so to us it feels like life time. She had already told me about her team numerous time but tonight my anxiety was running high these are the people excluding dad and I that she considers family and I don't want to make a fool of myself. Tara told me that the dress code was fancy extremely fancy and I don't have that kind of wardrobe so I had to buy a dress before I left for D.C.

For the evening I was wearing a strapless floor length blue gown gown. I paired this dress with black Stilettos.For my hair I decided to keep it my butterfly locs in that were black and long and fell to my mid back

Spencer POV

Tara had describe her younger sister as the life of the party always outgoing funny but nothing really else she only said that her and I would definitely get along, I mean I'm not really looking to get with someone right now but it would be nice to be friends with someone the same age as me and outside of the team.

Y/N’s POV

My cab had dropped me of right outside Rossi's house and I was awe of his house, really it was a mansion it was modern but still had a touch of character. I paid my fair and hot out the cab with my off the shoulder bag I walked up the stairs a gently knocked of the door. Tara opened the door instantly calming me bringing my heart rate down. Grabbing a hold of her pulling her into a big hug.

"Hey sis ugh I missed you so much how are you how is doug?"

"Awww Y/n I missed you so much and uhhh me and doug aren't together anymore"

"Wait I'm sorry but how much did I missed you guys broke up"

"Yeah you've missed a lot but don't worry I'll will catch you up love, come in meet then team you look gorgeous by the way"

"Thank you ta-" was cut of by an eccentric women dressed in a colourful outfit squealing and taking me into a bear hug.

"Oh you must be Y/n, Tara's younger sister I'm Penelope Garcia it's so nice to meet you and you are so pretty your skin your hair! Omg your hair Tara why have you never gotten braids before?"

I was taken aback but so intrigued she seems like such a fun and outgoing person definitely someone I would love to be friends with. Replying for Tara I said.

"Oh Tara's never really been with the whole braids thing even when when we were younger she's always been more into wigs."

A women with piercing black hair and beautiful eyelashes who I can only assume was Emily standing in the foyer with the rest of the team questioned.

"Wait I'm sorry but Tara that's not your real hair?"

I turned to look and Tara who then looked back at me whilst we both turned to the only other black person in the room who I assume is Derek morgen by the description Tara gave me of her co workers. All three of us proceeded to look at each other then back at Emily after a brief moment of silence Derek and I burst into laughter. Tara interrupted our laughter, "why don't we introduce you to the rest of the team instead of revealing my hair secrets of mmh?" I walked with Tara to go meet Hotch and Rossi whilst I turned to Garcia giving me a cheeky grin and mouthing Your in big trouble.

I said hi to Hotch and Rossi thanking him for inviting me into his beautiful home I was then lead to JJ and Derek greeting them.

"Hi it's really nice to meet you guys" I waved at them and they both gave me a confused looked.

"Oh I don't shake hands to many germs it's actually safer to kiss then to shake hands with someone" they both looked at me stunned then looked to the mystery man talking to Penelope and Emily.

"Not that I don't want to shake your hand I do it's just not my thing... sorry I ramble a lot when I get nervous."

"No it's okay you just remind us of someone that's all" Derek said whilst smirking with JJ.

"Dinners ready let's all meet at the garden" Rossi announced.

I Weaved my arm through Tara's as well began walking to the garden. "So Dr.Lewis how are you finding Washington" Penelope asked me

"Oh it's really nice I'm enjoying the city right now and I'm excited to be with Tara for the next few months"

Spencer's POV

"Wait did you say Dr.Lewis"

"Yeah Spence, y/n is a Dr" JJ said

"Oh so you guys looked me up? I mean I dont mind I could have just told you guys" Y/n said giggling

"Yeah I looked you up, anyone on the teams family is my family" Garcia said matching her giggle.

"Yeah I have a phd in psychology maths and physics, and a bachelors in criminology" Y/n replied weakly.

"Oh come on y/n/n tell him then the rest come on!" Tara said encouraging her sister to speak

"And I have an IQ of 190 and an eidetic memory"

"And y/n?” Tara said encouraging her once more.

"And I can read 25,000 words per minute, but they don't want to here about this boring stuff Tara."

"We do want to hear about this what if someone was like you?" Derek said

By this point we had gotten to the garden and were sitting at the table I was visibly staring at Y/n but I didn't care she was beautiful and her brain was to, she was like me no she was smarter and I wanted so badly to get to know her. As she sat down in between Tara and I she jokingly said.

"if I meet a guy with an IQ and eidetic memory like mine, a Doctor, with a nice personality and was cute like extremely attractive I would date him in a heartbeat but those types of guys don't exist"

I don't know what came over me but I had to reply y/n was talking about me I'm her dream man and she didn't even know it. Tara only said she and I would get along but I didn't know this well she's like the denial version of me but better, her skin glowed under the fairy lights that hung around Rossi's garden making her look angelic. Her dress accentuated every curve and dip on her body her cleavage ever so slightly protruding out of her dress but her body wasn't what intrigued me it was her her mind her personality I haven't even had a conversation with her but I already want to get to know her. So I downed my glass of liquid courage turned to her and I was about to describe Derek butted in and said.

Y/N’s POV

"I think Y/n over here just describe pretty boy"

"I described who"

I turned to Tara slaking her what Derek meant but she wouldn't look in my direction.

"Uhh I think what there trying to say is that you describing me Y/n I have and IQ of 187 I also have an eidetic memory and 3 PHD's but I mean I don't know if I'm-"

"You are attractive...if that's what you were going to ask"

I didn't even know the name of the man who spoke I think it might be Spencer but i didn't care because this was the most attractive man I had ever seen in my life

I really appreciate any input, it's been a hot minute since I've regularly written fanfic. I try to keep to the characterization set in the original show, but I like to take my liberties on how I think they'd act in certain situations.

I obviously do not own any of these characters except Jasper, she's my baby. It's entirely self projection, as are most of my OC characters.
