A/n: WOAHHHH PATCH ACTUALLY WRITING?? INSANE.

Doja Cat played loudly on the speaker as she hummed and clicked away on her computer. “I need more of those..” she’d mumble to herself now and then.

A noise came from down the hallway but she ignored it. A small knock came from the door, causing her to turn around, “hm?” She asked softly.

“I- uh..where’s Amanda?” The man at the door asked. “Amanda left like 2 months ago..I’m y/n!” She exclaimed, the man continued to stare at her, still clearly in shock that Amanda was gone.

“Uh- Luke, Hughes.” He mumbled quietly, looking like a lost puppy. “Alright Luke Hughes, what can I do for ya?” she asked softly, attempting to not scare him away since he already seemed uneasy about her.

“I like screwed up my ankle during practice..could you look at it for me..?” he asked hesitantly, “Yeah! Of course!” she exclaimed as she walked towards a big white cabinet and began to dig through it for the things she needed.

Luke walked over to one of the benches and sat down, he looked at the decorations that she’d hung up, his eyes fixated on the several picture frames on her desk. “You went to Ohio State?” he asked suddenly, “what?” she questioned, confused by the sudden question.

“The photo, on your desk. You're at OSU.” he commented, “Oh, my sister goes there. I only went so she wouldn't be alone. I went to University of Nebraska.” she replied softly.

He hummed in response, “I went to University of Michigan.” he says, “Oh nice!” She smiles as she sits down as the foot of the bench and begins to assess his ankle.

“How long have you been here?” He asks, “About a month or so? So not too long.” “Oh alright.”, she nods in response to him. He keeps looking at the photos of her desk, “you played flag football?” He asks, “Oh yeah, in high school.” She says softly as she grabs the wrap next to her.

“It looks like it’s just a sprain but I’m gonna wrap it to give it some support.” She tells him as she wraps his ankle with hot pink wrap. He nods as he watches intently.

“There you go!” She exclaims as she backs up from the bench. “Thanks.” Luke nods as he stands up, “it’s nice to meet you.” he continues as he walks out of the room.

“Hughes!” A voice yells out as Luke walks down the hallway, he turns and looks, only to find Dawson behind him. “Where ya been buddy?” He asks as he wraps an arm around Luke’s shoulder.

“I was with the new Athletic Trainer” Luke says, “New? What happened to Amanda?” Dawson says as he stops in his tracks. “I guess she left?” Luke shrugs.

“Aw man.” Dawson grumbles, “What’s the new one like?” Dawson perks up as he asks. “She’s nice, she went to U of Nebraska.” Luke responds with the things he can remember.

“Woah great description hughesy.” Dawson jokes, “she’s gotta be cute if you can’t remember anything.” He jokes again. Luke roles his eyes in response to Dawson’s teasing.

The two walk into the locker room where the rest of the team was, “Where you been lukey?” Jack asks with a smirk, “He’s been flirting with the new athletic trainer.” Dawson smirks as he waits for Luke’s reaction.

“I was not!” Luke declares, “buddy couldn’t even remember anything about the girl!” Dawson continues. “No!” Luke protests before he’s interrupted by Jack, “Now we gotta see her, she has to be a beauty if even Lukey boy gets so flustered her can’t think straight!”

Luke hung his head low at the teasing. “Leave him alone.” Nico said softly as he looked at Luke. “Oh calm down Cap, it’s just some teasing!” Dawson joked as he shook Luke’s shoulder.

After about 15 more minutes of teasing, Luke grabbed his things and head towards his car, Jack following closely behind. “We were just joking Lukey.” Jack said as he ruffled his hair, “Yeah..but it isn’t funny.” Luke mumbled.

“Ok, I’m sorry. I won’t do it anymore.” Jack said, throwing his hands up in defense. Luke roles his eyes as he gets in the passenger seat of the car. He opened his phone and decided to scroll on Instagram, the first post to pop up was of a girl. One that looked oddly familiar..

That’s the new girl he thought to himself as he clicked on her profile and began to scroll through her post before hitting the big blue follow button

It only took a few minutes before he got a notification from instagram, “y/n_l/nnn followed you back” it read.
