🐝 age appropriate? yes! tangled is rated PG in most places as some scenes are a little creepy or violent but overall it is a very tame movie and it's disney so.... i'd say absoloutely!!

🌻 note: rapunzel is a perma-regressor to me (toddler to young child) and flynn/eugene is her carer (pascal babysits her and used to be her caregiver!!) flynn has to keep an eye on her because she has a habit of getting distratced and running away if she sees anything interesting, he has spent ages looking for her just to find her cuddling maximus once. she's very polite and sweet but extremely clumsy and often needs help readjusting her crown and dress after tripping. rapunzel is great at baking but flynn isn't so when they're baking together it's mostly just her ordering him around because he won't let her use any knives or touch the stove but he has no clue what he's doing :3.

Tangled agere except Rapunzel is the CG to Flynn.

Slowly she hears more about poor orphan Eugene trying to take care of all the littler kids in the orphanage - "imagine you are so small and cold and scared but there are others who are smaller and colder and more scared" etc etc - and how he never really had a proper childhood. Because Rapunzel had books and paints and toys and things to do, but Eugene had very little to his name. Not even someone who claimed to love him.

So she takes him onto the castle grounds and lets him play with some of the old castle toys she never got to play with when she was born, porcelain dolls with pretty silk dresses and tin soldiers and marbles and hoops.

They climb in trees, and play war and play house, where she is finally mother, and both are healed immensely through it. Flynn sleeps in the grass and eats grapes from a clean plate, and he splashes in the river and laughs until he's about to pop. And Rapunzel could not love him more.

Fic below the cut!! This isn't a fandom I ever thought I'd write for haha but my little loves Tangled so he requested this, and I'm releasing it for his birthday!

You sit quietly by the windowsill in the castle, gazing at the moon and starts twinkling in the sky as it gets later into the night. You have no idea what the time is, or how much time has passed since you left your room, but what you do know is that you've been wandering around the castle for awhile, unable to sleep.

You're pulled out of your daze when you hear a voice behind you.

"Hey there, kid. What're you doing up tonight, hm?"

You turn around and see Eugene standing behind you in the hallway. You must've woken him up, he has dark bags under his eyes and his hair is an absolute mess.

"'M sorry." you say sheepishly. "Was walking."

Eugene smiles at you playfully before walking closer to you.

"Well, walkings great and all, but maybe not at two in the morning, yeah?" he says gently.

Oh. You didn't realise it had gotten that late. You nod and look away.

"Why were you walking around right now anyway, huh?" he asks gently.

You whine quietly. "Couldn't sleep, jus' needed to get some en'gy out."

Eugene softens, putting an arm around your shoulder. He pulls you into a side hug.

"I'm sorry, kiddo." he rubs your shoulder as he speaks. "Whenever that happens, you can get me or Rapunzel, we'll stay with you until you fall asleep, okay? You don't need to walk around all alone, I promise."

You nod once more as you start to yawn, the exhaustion is finally starting to hit you. You whine again and lean onto Eugene.

"Let's get you to bed, it's getting pretty late now, bud. Especially for tiny ones like you!" he says playfully as he effortlessly scoops you into his arms, you squeal and giggle, and he gently shushes you.

"Yeah I know, getting picked up is fun and all, but just try to keep it down 'cause people are asleep." he chuckles a bit as he shushes you, starts walking over him and Rapunzel's room.

As he approaches, he quietly opens the door. Rapunzel is sitting up in their bed with the lamp turned on. Her eyes light up when she sees you.

"Hey there, little one. What were you doing up, huh?" she asks gently. Eugene puts you down in the bed and you snuggle up to her. She runs a hand through your hair.

"This little guy was going for a walk, he couldn't sleep." Eugene sits down on the bed and gently takes your hand.

"Aw, got a little restless, hm?" she runs a hand through your hair. "That's okay, Eugene and I will keep you company."

You nod, you're glad that they're letting you stay with them. You soon let out a big yawn, and your eyes start to droop.

"Oh, my poor little angel... you're tired, aren't you?" she says softly, laying down and opening her arms.

You gently slump down next to her, nuzzling into your chest. Eugene comes up behind, wrapping his arms around the both of you.

"Goodnight, sweetheart. Sleep well." Rapunzel says softly, gently kissing your forehead.

"Sweet dreams, buddy." Eugene runs a hand through your hair. Your eyes continue to droop, before eventually closing completely. You soon drift off into a peaceful sleep, surrounded by the warmth of your caregivers.

It has been an incredibly rough winter break for me. I am grieving two losses, as well as some other bad stuff going on in my family, so forgive my lack of posts. BUT at least I have Tangled on DVD

Caregiver Rapunzel Headcanons (Tangled)

She wants you to spend as much time as possible playing outside; fresh air is good for you!

Anytime you get hurt or sick, she sings the flower song while she tends to you. It may not heal you instantly, but it’s a source of comfort for both of you.

She always uses your name when she talks to you; pet names remind her too much of Gothel.

She never makes you get haircuts, but she’ll be there for support if you want a new style.

She loves painting and drawing, and has SO many sketches of you.

Every year on her birthday, thousands of lanterns are released into the sky. It’s the one day of the year you’re allowed to stay up late, and the two of you watch the lanterns for hours.

She’s super curious about any hobbies you have, and will listen to you talk about them for ages.

She almost never teases you; she doesn’t want you to be hurt by her words, even accidentally.

Rapunzel often misses her hair. It allowed her to do a lot of things she can no longer do. However, taking care of you is helping her see that she’s still very capable.

The concept of Varian regressing:

You all hear me, Age regressed! Varian AU a.k.a Agere!Varian AU since you all know how much he suffered with trauma over season 1 and during half of season 3 even after being hailed as the hero of Corona once he saved them from red rocks and earning forgiveness from it for saving them from the Saporians but what I told you is that Varian has been through PTSD which caused him to regress into a younger state of mind, thus why I would wanna demonstrate an Agere Varian. And he totally would be because of his personality type in general. Would definitely see that as a coping mechanism as the whole "thinks back to that whole week we spent on age regression due to trauma in psychology class" He definitely would age regress.
