They were childhood friends of mine, we formed the band soon after all my brothers "disappeared", Grandma thought it would be smart to keep singing as a distraction from everything happening, it was a lot of fun singing with them! I left the band when I went grey but they continued singing for a while after that, I'm really really glad I got to sing with them again!

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

ON the subject of undernegotiated kink in fanfiction. i think we should talk more about how the concept of "not talking about it" is just as much wish fulfillment for some people as "in-depth, therapy-speak conversations where everyone is clear and understood" is for others

like yes, in reality the antidote to shame is open honest conversation with someone who will validate your feelings and wants blah blah blah but SOMETIMES what i want out of my fanfic is characters being understood without having to expose themselves in that way. SOMETIMES it's fun to not dismantle the shame and repression all the way and to instead treat that understanding-despite-not-being-clear as the fantasy

i have such a love for characters who descend into madness or villainy out of deep, deep empathy. characters who fundamentally cannot cope with the cruel realities they find themselves in and blow up about it in spectacular fashion. fallen angel type characters with tears of outrage in their eyes. characters who break before they bend, and break so badly they splatter blood all over their noble ideals. every variation on it gets me so good

Viva, you won't believe what just happened

Yesterday I was with John-Dory and Clay. They said we should try a 2x Spicy Noodles Challenge (those noodles were spicy)

During the challenge, Poppy came in and asked she can try one of our to see how spicy it is. Clay gave his bowl to Poppy.

When she tasted them, she wasn't feeling too well. Her stomach rumbled and Branch had to come in to help her get better (I wished you were there to see it)

John-Dory: Hey!! we didn't know this was going to happen

Clay: Me neither I'm the one who gave her my bowl

Branch: iYou idiots!!!! Don't worry Im not mad at you. I'm mad at those two

Clay: I seriously didn't know the spice was going to be too much! At Putt Putt, we must've built up a spice tolerance, because coming back to the rest of the Pop Trolls all they eat is sugary sweet stuff, I should've known that they're not used to spice!

John Dory: Hey!!! I've been in the Neverglades by myself for ages! How was I supposed to know they can't handle spice?
