au batfamily idea
au batfamily idea where talia found out she was pregnant and decided to do the whole pregnancy term with bruce, maybe negotiated some terms with him (that ra's obviously had no plans of following). right so, bruce/talia fic. you can write out the nine months of pregnancy, do this however you want i dont care.
but then around seven to nine months into her pregnancy (you pick) something happens, rouge attack or ra's attacks her and she's badly injured. the doctors and bruce tell her she had a miscarriage/still birth (depends if it's past 24 weeks or not), right?
except, she didn't. almost immediately talia leaves with ra's. cut to bruce watching them leave
"are you certain about this, master bruce?" alfred asks over the comms.
"it's for the better, alfred." bruce mutters as he watches talia leave. "she would've made a terrible mother."
you can change that line all you want to fit with your fic, i don't care. from here this can go two ways. one: the bat-family way
damian spends his first 10 years with the bat-family. he grows up with bruce as his father so you can change his personality however you see fit. maybe he was robin post jasons death instead of tim or maybe he has his own vigilante name, point is he grew up with bruce and dick and jason and cass and alfred. either bruce convinces everyone he's adopted or damian stays hidden for his whole life (that'd mean homeschool and no vigilante title, all the other batkids would think it's totally fucked up and none of them except dick probably know where he's from).
somehow after he turns ten, talia finds out about his existence. this is a point where you can use jasons time at the league for explanation, maybe he mentions a brother while he's there and says he looks just like talia or some shit. or dont use him, whatever. back to talia, she finds out about damian and is like 'yo wtf' and obviously tries to get her son back.
she succeeds, faking his death to throw them off. she gets a good five years or so before someone finds damian and then it's just all hell and you can pick who he ends up with.
now for the second option. after bruce fakes talias miscarriage/still birth bruce thinks this kid will never be safe. if he's with bruce talia will always try to get him, and if he's with talia damian will never know peace and eventually be a capsule for his grandfathers body.
so, he gives him up.
damian bounces from orphanage to orphanage or foster home to foster home--whatever you want--until hes anywhere from 10 to 15. now this is where tim drake come in. he's 16/17 when damians 10 (that's what i normally go by) and tim catches some members of the league looking for something that seemed really important. no captured league members would utter a word, all killing themselves instead.
but tims tim and somehow found out their looking for a fucking child and he goes out to find this child and save him. maybe tim recruits his brothers idk, do whatever. once tim finds him he's like 'holy fuck that kid looks just like talia al ghul' and tim's actually thinking about backing off cuz clearly this is a family issue....
except. well, that kid is equally confused and he's clearly had a hard life and hey, he kinda looks like bruce! so suddenly tims on a mission with this kid (again anywhere from 10 to 15) and he's trying to save him from the league while also trying to figure out what the fuck is going on! and you know, he'll need some help from his family to crack that shit.
that one ends in a big battle bat-family vs the league of assassins and damian has no clue what's going on this whole time. great potential for damian and tim bonding too which i love. please, someone make this a thing.
if this is already a thing please lmk i want to read it so bad
anyone can take this and run with it, give credit though, and PLEASE give me the fic name.

Jason Todd: Dad Mode Activated
There’s a new dynamic in the Batfamily, and nobody saw it coming. Jason Todd—Red Hood, former Robin, perennial black sheep of the Wayne family—has apparently decided that Tim Drake is his son. And no one, least of all Tim, knows what to do about it.
It starts subtly, if you can call Jason “subtle.” He starts showing up when Tim’s been too busy to eat, tossing him a burger or some takeout with a gruff, “Eat, Replacement.” He’s there when Tim’s working himself to the bone, slamming the laptop shut and growling about how his kid isn’t going to die of exhaustion on his watch. When Tim’s in over his head, Jason’s suddenly there, guns blazing, a protective shadow with a deadly smirk.
Tim’s confused. Very confused. Jason has always been... antagonistic, at best. But now he’s... scolding him? Encouraging him? Telling him he’s proud when Tim does something impressive? The man even started calling him “kid” instead of “Replacement,” which is somehow worse because it makes Tim feel all warm and fuzzy inside. What is happening?
Eventually, Tim asks. And Jason, in true Jason fashion, gives an explanation that doesn’t explain much at all.
“Look, Dick’s already treating Damian like his own kid, Bruce is busy helping Duke figure out his place in the family, Cass and Babs are practically attached at the hip—like sisters or something. And you?” Jason shrugs. “You’re my kid.”
Tim stares. “I’m your what?”
“My kid,” Jason repeats, as if it’s the most obvious thing in the world. “You’re smart, you’re resourceful, you’ve got my stubbornness—which, yeah, is annoying—and someone’s gotta make sure you don’t get yourself killed. Congrats, kid. You’ve been adopted.”
It doesn’t really explain anything, but Tim decides not to argue. After all, Jason’s kind of a good dad? He feeds Tim, checks in on him, teaches him things like how to hotwire a car (Tim already knows, but Jason’s so enthusiastic about it that Tim doesn’t have the heart to tell him). And Jason has his back in a way that feels steady, solid. Like he’s not going anywhere.
The thing is, Jason doesn’t stop there. He starts talking about Tim in ways that make Tim want to crawl under a rock. To Roy, to Kory, to anyone who’ll listen. “My kid’s a genius,” Jason brags, his voice filled with so much pride it makes Tim’s chest ache. “Runs a whole company and saves Gotham on the side. Kid’s got a brain the size of the Batcomputer.”
And it’s not just talk. Jason drags Tim along to meet-ups with other vigilantes or allies, casually introducing him like a proud dad at a PTA meeting. “This is Tim,” Jason says, grinning ear to ear. “My kid. Smartest of the bunch, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”
Tim flushes, stammering out an awkward, “Uh, hi,” while Jason beams like he’s just presented a Nobel Prize winner.
The height of Tim’s mortification comes when Jason introduces him to Talia—not as a fellow vigilante or even a respected ally, but as his son. Talia, who had become something of a mother figure to Jason after the Pit, is apparently now being roped into her new role as a grandmother. Jason insists it’s only right that she meet her “grandkid” and treat Tim accordingly. Tim, meanwhile, wants to disappear into the floor while Jason beams with unrestrained pride.
“Yeah, this is my boy,” Jason says, arms crossed, radiating smug pride. “Smart, resourceful, better than Bruce—don’t even try to deny it.”
Tim wants the floor to open up and swallow him. But he also can’t help feeling... warm. Embarrassed, yes, but also kind of happy. Jason’s over-the-top pride is ridiculous, but it’s genuine. It’s not something Tim’s used to—someone being proud of him just for being himself.
And of course, Jason’s newfound dad energy throws the rest of the family into chaos.
Bruce tries to scold Tim about something minor—maybe staying out too late on patrol—and Tim just raises an eyebrow. “I’m gonna tell my dad,” he says, completely deadpan. And then he does. Jason shows up at the Batcave later, tearing into Bruce about how his kid doesn’t need this kind of negativity in his life, and Bruce is left speechless.
Damian tries to insult Tim, calling him a weak link or some other scathing remark, and Tim smirks. “Careful, Damian. I’m your nephew now. Better watch your mouth, or Uncle Jason might have something to say about it.”
Even Dick’s thrown off by it. “Jay,” he says one day, watching Jason shove a plate of food at Tim with all the grace of a brick. “You do realize Tim isn’t actually your son, right?”
Jason glares at him. “He’s mine. I’m the dad here. You’ve got Demon Spawn, I’ve got Tim. Deal with it.”
Tim doesn’t understand how or why this happened, but honestly? He’s not complaining. Jason might not be the most conventional parent, but he’s a damn good one. And for Tim, who’s always felt a little lost in the shuffle of the chaotic Wayne family, having someone claim him so fiercely, so completely, feels... nice.
So yeah. Jason Todd: Red Hood, vigilante, crime lord, accidental dad. Who would’ve thought?

Ok. So Dani and Damian are around 23-26. You can decide. Fair warning this one’s pretty long
So while Dani was traveling the world, she meet Talia Al Ghul.
They became friends(?) and regularly meet up for coffee and tea and such (Dani is not part of the LOA) (Talia wanted to adopt her but she said no) (Dani knows of the LOA but not of Damian. In my mind a demon heir would be confidential information)
Damian leads the Wayne foundations (as well as the Martha and Thomas Wayne foundations) which involves lot of international travel. With his vigilantism and his job, Bruce forces him to put out applications for a secretary. He’s been moonlighting as the Vulture for a couple of years.
Dani, with her years of traveling in now fluent in multiple languages (one of her obsessions) and decided to attend collage in Star City, moving to Gotham after a degree in international business relations.
She applies at Wayne Enterprises for a job, and gets invited for coffee with Talia via coffee message.
Barbara Gordon intercepted the message and sends Damian and Tim to watch her meeting with a mystery person.
They are slightly confused as to Talia is meeting with a seemingly normal civilian. And Damian thinks this that she must be working with the Leauge (no matter how pretty her laugh was)
Talia, who realizes that if Dani won’t allow her to become her daughter, then daughter-in-law is the next best thing.
He realizes how royally he fucked up when Bruce introduces him to his new secretary, Danielle Jane Masters-Fenton.
So now he’s working with a (presumed) LOA assassin, one who’s (probably) infiltrating the company to get to his family. And Talia is try to set them up for some reason.
However, no one believes him when he tells them of his theory. Not even Bruce, who did the actual interview. (He also thought that she would make a good match for Damian, and bonus points if the rest of the family thinks so as well)
Part of Dani’s jobs description is to accompany her boss on international trips, which can take anywhere from 3 days to a week. And it’s pretty difficult when your boss hates you for some reason but can’t fire you because of his dad. Even harder when you’re forced to become a antihero (Vapor) to clean gothams curses and ghost cults and have an odd relationship with the Vulture
There are so many shenanigans that can happen
- Dani and Damian going on a routine business trip and having it run late, plus with the time zones, they are exhausted and forget to book the hotel room. The take the last available room, which happens to have only one bed. Neither one cares.
- mass Arkham breakout, and Dani retunes to work with a fractured left wrist. She says she got injured in the breakout and when Damian goes to her because he’s concerned suspicious he asks her more about it. Dani panics and tells him it was alright because Vapor was there and saved her (she actually got into a brawl with sulker)
~Vulture immediately seeks out Vapor to find out which rouge Dani her and Dani figures out his identity because Damian was the only one she mentioned anything about Vapor to she panicked okay??
- another trip but Damian doesn’t speak the local language (Dani knows more) and the company’s daughter insults Damian to their face because she assumed neither of them spoke the Language. Dani ripped her a new one, and because of her outright hostility (which has never happen before) Damian doesn’t renew the contracts with the company and instead spends the rest of the trip trying to cheer up Dani’s mood.
- Danny. Sam and Tucker all visit her in Gotham and the everlasting trio all go to an animal rights protest that ends up with them in a brawl. Damian also ends up brawling on their side and the four of them get thrown in the same jail cell while they wait for someone to bail them out. Tim arrives for Damian at the same time Dani arrives for the trio. To spite them, Dani and Tim have a long conversation in front of their cell instead of letting them out. (The group approves of Damian)
- a ghost attacks Dani and Damian on their way to the airport, Dani whips out her ghost busting moves. Damian finally decides to admit to himself that he’s in love after watching her tackle a ghost to the ground and make him beg for mercy (technus should’ve known better that to pick a fighter against her. in Gotham. With her crush boss watching)
- Dani kills the Joker, and a member of Black Masks crew saw her, so Vulture was assigned to be her bodyguard of sorts
- Dani is planning an international gala for the Waynes and is very stressed out. So stressed out, that a week before the gala she realized she didn’t think to accommodate for any rouge attacks and spends the next 3 days in her office. Damian eventually drops her sleep deprived butt home.
- Dan visits Dani in her office
- wingman Jon
- International business meeting hosted at WE. Rouge attakd the meeting and Dani gets injured. Damian sees red
- Waynes go to a masked gala in Wisconsin, hosted by Vlad Masters. Dani and Damian share a dance (while wearing masks) and a ghost ruins the party
- M A K I N G O U T W H I L E D R U N K
- Damian figures out Dani’s identity simply because he realizes they laugh and smile the same
- “Danielle.”
“Yeah?”
“Your birthday is coming up, correct?”
“It is, what about it?”
“What would you like?”
“Damian, you don’t have to get me anything.”
“Tt. Ridiculous. What would you like?”
“Get me a (super rare sword from medieval times)” (she was joking)
“Consider it done.” (He was not)
Eventually Ra’s finds out about Dani and her connection to his grandsons and daughter and decides to kidnap her as blackmail.

Mending a Family 50/?
Prev | Next
Jason felt stupid. Why hadn't he gone to Ghostwriter from the beginning? The other ghost would’ve helped, and even if he couldn’t, Danny’s signature was headed toward the bookstore. Jason couldn’t blame anyone but himself. He let his emotions take over, and it cost him precious time.
Time his son didn’t have.
Jason had decided flying would be quicker than driving.
Talia had climbed on his back while he held on to Bruce and Dick in his arms. It was a bit awkward but doable. He turned them invisible in case anyone looked up. Raven was using a cloaking spell so no one could see her and Jazz.
Jazz had decided she couldn’t stay behind. While Dick and Bruce had put on their suit, she had argued she knew how the Fentons operated. She made sense, but they couldn’t leave Ellie alone.
In the end, Raven teleported Ellie to Wayne Manor. Ellie did not like the idea, but she reluctantly agreed when they explained their reasoning. Jason could tell that Dick and Bruce had been a bit weirded out by how intelligent Ellie was, but Jason couldn’t do anything about that. They didn’t have time to explain that Ellie might look like an infant, but she was mentally older.
Jason entered the building intangibly with his passengers and opened the door for Raven and Jazz.
“Little Wing, that was amazing,” Dick exclaimed.
Jason grunted, too tired from using his powers more than ever.
“You okay,” Dick asked.
Jason nodded. He could tell Bruce had questions, but the man held back from voicing them. It was fine, if they helped him find Danny, Jason would answer Bruce's questions.
“Ghostwriter,” Jason called out, “You here?”
Jason walked through the bookstore with everyone else trailing behind him. The bookstore was eerily quiet. Usually, Ghostwriter’s whistling could be heard throughout the store or, if that wasn’t the case, his typewriter. Now, though, there was nothing.
“I don’t feel Ghostwriter, but I feel a tear of some kind,” Raven said and took the lead. She led them to the back of the store. Jason saw a green that made him, Talia, and Bruce stop and tense. Jazz ran toward it without hesitation. Jason yelled behind her, trying to stop her. That color was always bad news.
“Jazz, stop!”
“No, that’s a portal! Guys, that’s a portal to the Infinite Realms. That’s probably how the Fentons got here, and that’s most likely where they took Danny. We have to stop them. Who knows what kind of damage they could do to Danny and the Infinite Realms?”
Jazz continued running, with the rest of them following her. They stopped in front of a thin green line.
“What are the Infinite Realms,” Dick asked.
“It’s the space between realities, the glue that holds them all together. It also holds every afterlife in existence, from purgatory to Hades and even some you’ve never heard of.”
“Sounds overwhelming,” Dick said.
“Don’t worry, I know how to navigate it. And if it’s anywhere near the portal the Fentons built, finding the way will be even easier. I also have allies I can call if we get lost. I doubt we will, though.
“Okay,” Jason said, “Let’s go.”
“Wait,” Bruce yelled out, “We need to make a plan.”
“No, no plan. That will take too much time, time Danny doesn’t have!”
“I understand, Jason, but we have to come up with some type of plan if we want to succeed.”
Jason gritted his teeth, “I have a plan: it’s called the ‘get my son back from some lunatics even if I have to kill them’ plan.”
“Jason, Bruce is right. We can’t go in there without a gameplan,” Dick said.
“I have a plan,” Jazz said. She took out a white and green stick and turned it into a staff.
“Raven, stay here in case we don’t come back. " She took out a watch and fiddled with it. “Here, if we’re not back in two hours, call for help. Batman,” Jazz turned toward Bruce, “you can come, or you can stay. I don’t care, but I am saving my little brother; damn the consequences.”
Without another word, Jazz jumped into the tear. Jason followed right after her, ignoring the shouts of his parents.
He had to save his son.
____
The first thing Bruce noticed was the color green—Lazarus green. The place was saturated in the color, making him feel nauseous.
The second thing he noticed were the doors and floating islands.
“So this is the afterlife, huh,” Dick asked. “I must say, it’s a bit boring to look at.”
Talia didn’t say anything but observed her surroundings with a calculated look.
“There,” Jazz said while pointing in a random direction, “That’s the portal.”
“How can you tell,” Bruce asked. He had to make sure.
“I know the entrance to my old haunt. Think of it like a homing system; I can sense that’s the portal. Let’s go.”
Jazz started floating, surprising Bruce. Jason shouted in surprise, validating Bruce’s original assumption.
“Hey, if you could fly, why’d you make Raven carry you,” Dick asked.
“I can’t. In the Infinite Realms, humans have ghost-like powers. I’ve been practicing, so I know how to use them here. However, we don’t have time to teach you guys, so Jason will have to carry you again. Sorry.”
With that, she left them behind.
“Hurry up,” Jason said, “I’m not getting left behind.”
Bruce nodded. He knew the desperate feeling of not being too late to save your son. He refused to be the reason Jason was feeling that way.
Bruce let Jason carry them. Other superheroes had carried him through the air, but this felt different. It was as if gravity didn’t exist, and if Jason let him go, he wouldn’t fall but be suspended in the air.
Bruce didn’t like the sensation.
They reached Jazz quickly. She had stopped in front of a swirl just a shade darker than their surrounding area. She gave a quick nod and entered.
Bruce had no idea what they were walking into, but he would help his son and bring his grandson home.

Talia unintentionally overstepping Barbara's boundaries (sneak peek for AO3)
Context: While out shopping Barbara was kidnapped by Talia Al Ghul's men and taken to where the Lazarus pit is. Talia says it's a fun girl's trip, but Babs knows the side effects of the pit and is not about to be pushed in.
Barbara (stopping her wheelchair before Talia could roll her to the Lazarus pit room): I'm not going in there.
Talia: Why would you pass up this offer?
Barbara (arms crossed): Jason Todd, you, Ra's Al Ghul, and that one time you put Bruce into a coma and tossed him in, assuming you could convince him to love you. And what happened after that?
Talia: We… both went insane, and I almost killed our tifl. But that's in the past, he's better now, I'm sane now.
Ra's (smoking): Never got my thanks for that.
Talia: Father! - Look, Barbara I'm not even killing you—just pushing your chair into the pit.
Barbara: I'm good. I'd rather get robot legs than end up in the pit.
Ra's Al Ghul (siding with Barbara): Contact me if you want me to set you up with that, but she still said no fifty times, Talia! Can you send her away already?
Talia: Father, stay out of this! Barbara, think about what regaining the ability to walk would do for you. You could finally be with Nightwing.
Barbara (grossed out): Oh God, why would you wish that upon me?! We're not like that anymore!
Talia: Seriously?
Ra's: He's with the orange woman now.
Talia: Aww, I was secretly rooting for you two.
Barbara (glaring at Talia): I'm definitely not going in there now. You're not about to insult me and then push me into green slime.
Talia (in denial): You know what? You need some time to think this over and agree to it. I’ll leave you here in this gorgeous tea room and return in twenty minutes. I know you’ll make the right decision. Father, keep watch of her.
Talia exited with a graceful stride, not allowing Barbara to get a word in or continue to refuse her offer. Ra's pulled out his cell phone and handed her an older-looking iPhone.
Ra's: His number is in this phone; he’s labeled "Ahbil."
Barbara nodded, took the phone, and hit the button to contact Bruce's number. Bruce reluctantly answered the unknown call, as his night job often led to strange calls like this.
Barbara: Hey… Bruce, it's Oracle.
Ra's: We don’t need to go by codenames; I know your name is Barbara.
Barbara: Private call, Ra's!
Bruce (confused): Why are you calling me from an unknown number?
Barbara: Talia kidnapped me and is offering to push me into the pit so it can 'fix' my disability, and when I say "offering," I mean she will not let me leave until I agree to it.
Bruce (shocked): What?
Barbara: Yeah. She said I’d be fine, which is a crock of bullshit. I've seen what the pit does to people; Jason has told me. I made it clear I’m not doing that. She said I have no choice unless you come to save me.
Bruce: She said I… And you’re stuck there—God damn it, Jim is going to kill me!
Barbara: Yeah, he might actually shoot you if I end up going crazy, or at least arrest you. She’s not stating it, but this seems to be a mix of good intentions with bad thinking, and she wants you back. Think you can be here soon?
Bruce: Yeah. I’ll text everyone and we’ll be headed there in a few hours. Tell her I’ll be there and that you won’t be wheeled to the pit until we get there. Do everything you can to avoid being pushed in!
Barbara: I will try my best; the mad king next to me is actually on my side with leaving, so he might be able to help.
Ra's: I’m… going to let that one slide because you called me king.
Bruce: I have to deal with Ra's—that just dawned on me. This is ridiculous, but you're my friend, and Jim will kill me if I mess this up. That guy sees me as his friend, and I can’t lose that!
Barbara (chuckling): Men and their weird friendships. Just hurry up.
Bruce agreed and ended the call while Ra's poured himself and Barbara some tea.
Ra's: He’s coming?
Barbara: Yes… your daughter is thirsty for a man who doesn't want her. She’s intelligent and all that, decent mom, but she is thirsty.
Ra's (agreeing): I have no idea where this insanity came from.
Ra's coughed from years of exposure to the pit as Barbara rolled her eyes.

Inspired by @hypewinter s Fenton!Talia Au idea!
(The following scene is one that I just thought of for the Fenton!Talia au that was started recently where an Impromptu Fenton-Nightingale family reunion is where Talía introduces Bruce and the kids to her family)
Bruce was going to have a headache, he was going to have a massive, painful, excruciating headache and he would have to bear with it.
He sipped his coffee, the lid a normal black as he watched his children chatter with the extended Fenton-Nightingale family, Jason, Cass, and Damian’s own fluorescent green coffee cup lids blending in far more with the normal ones, proof of how much Bruce hadn’t known when he had tried to face Ra’s without Talia’s assistance, and what it could have cost him.
He watched Steph hesitantly nibble on a glowing cookie as she listened in nearly rapt attention as one of the Fenton-Nightingales, Ellie, recount early adventures she'd had, keeping Steph, Damian, and Cass engaged as the broad shouldered man who sat at the head of the table adjusted his seat lightly, turning to face him and Talia.
Daniel J. Fenton, formerly operating under the name "Phantom" as his alter ego/other self, was a broad man, though not as broad or tall as his own Father, Jack Fenton, who casually dwarfed both Himself and Clark, and given what Bruce had seen during the Fenton's intervention against the League, it was a common trait as well as invulnerabilities of some sort. Daniel Fenton's face had a few marks that bellied his age, laugh lines and creases in his brow, greying hair along the sides of his head, and a nose that appears to have been broken several times in his life in brutal fashion, but other than that and the Lichtenberg scarring that marred the right side of his body there were few obvious wounds save the newest, a small cut, just below his eye, the one and only strike Ra's had gotten in during their fight.
Bruce knew that Talia had been adopted, she'd spoken of it to him in the past, and especially gushed about her extended family, her Aunts, Cousins, Grandparents, Siblings, and her own Adoptive Parents, during slow nights where Bruce would check in on Harley and Ivy, usually inadvertently crashing a Siren's Night and having to sacrifice Robin [Jason, then Steph and Cassandra, then Tim and Damian] as well as Nightwing, Batwoman, and even the Superboys when they came over to join Tim and Damian's patrols, to secure his escape to his work, usually ending in having it all recounted to him by his children at the next debrief. The horror stories she'd told him of her birth family had been nightmarish, and when he had finally placed them as the League of Assassins he'd felt blind for a time after.
But now he sat before Talia's Father, who as it turned out, was a Half-Dead Half-Alive being who had overthrown a literal god to protect his hometown and then waged a years long guerilla war against a rogue element of the US Government, and then the League of Assassins. This was a man forged by the environment around him, by the tasks laid at his feet, and by those around him. In Bruce's honest opinion, Daniel was terrifying, not in an Uncanny Valley sense of the word, but in a logistical sense, for at this man's fingertips was not only the recourses of his family, which delved into many separate scientific, psychological, and occult fields, but also the knowledge that the dead have, and the fighters that are willing to spill forth at his call.
"So," The smiling man sitting at the head of the table began, his voice a quiet whisper that carried clear through the jumbled conversations as easy as water down a hillside, "You, are Bruce Wayne, It's a pleasure to meet one of Talia's significant others!" The smile turned absolutely cheery, and Talia rolled her eyes, as though expecting something.
Bruce gulped down his doubts and steeled himself.
Jason took a photo, planning on treasuring the photo he would show to Selina later.

The most beautiful Kaya Scodelario looked in "The Gentlemen". And the overall scene is something that can actually be so personal. Him seeking her out. Like ending episode 6 thinking mom and dad (mum and dad) are going to war with each other...and then this...and then still the last two episodes being a roller coaster of whether or not they are going to be the literal death of one another. I have never had so much Good Stress from a ship that was Bad Stress when I was actually going through it. I aged and greyed so much through parts of this show, my poor heart.
To me, they have this low-key Bruce Wayne x Selina Kyle dynamic (sooooo, Bobby Glass would be Carmine Falcone? I can work with that), which, given how BatCat is one of my lifelong OTPs, I am sure subconsciously pulled me in. Like posh boy that can get down and dirty (so his ski mask era would be his Batman era 😅😂 "We're not criminals, Freddy"), however much he sees himself holding a higher moral ground over the underworld he must move through. And working-class girl, street smarts, that can no less look "elegant and stylish" and navigate the upper echelons; but at the end of the day is who she is and matter-of-factly💋💋💋💋a career criminal. (Kaya honestly even works as a face claim for Selina though her eyes may be closer to blue than green. I mean, the Gunnverse has to cast a Catwoman eventually, depending on the age range of their Batman... I will just leave this here for you for free, James.)
And then Princess Roseanne, the Countess of Tournai, would be Talia Al-Ghul especially when Susie lets slip some jealous vibes towards her (made me think of Anne Hathaway's snark about Marion Cotillard in the last Nolanverse film...the characters, not the actresses). Though ultimately I do see Eddie and Princess Roseanne as Just Friends and no conflict in that direction unless further miscommunication. (So much Misunderstanding Drama in this series and between OTP. When a good romantic comedy is not a romantic comedy; or even entirely a comedy.)
But really it comes down to their having such an *easy partnership*, naturally yielding to one another when it comes to it. The way Susie has her way about things -- most notably when she invites herself to meet Stanley Johnston -- and Eddie smoothly submits to her without in any way seeming whipped. Like their actions are always in agreement, even when their words are not. Those two are more married than most married folks I have seen on screen. Should have blacked out in Nevada than on the estate.
(Also, gotta love how she has him saved in her phone as "The Duke". Like forget Bridgerton...I would watch an entire season of TheoKaya going at each other in, Bridgerton ways. As it stands with this though, I could see how the greater artistic choice might be to just make this a stand-alone, but I would be greedy for any subsequent season. This is already technically an expansion on a film -- that I have yet to see -- so Guy Ritchie does not mind a revisit. I could use any more of these 2 families who fully drive the story of this world.)

Bruce and Clark bringing both baby Damian and Jon to a JL meeting for the first time:
The Justice League members: Talking to eachother about something important
Clark and Bruce: Walk into the place
The Justice League Members: Stop their conversation and turn around to see who it was that came in, seeing that it's just Clark and Bruce carrying their two new babies in a baby carrier on their chest
Also the Justice League members: Quickly light up in excitement and joy as they all immediately go to greet the two heroes adorable babies for the first time
Diana, happily: Are these your new babies?
Clark, with a smile on his face: Yep! This is Jon!
Bruce: This is Damian
Dinah: So that's who Damian and Jon are. Hello, cuties! (happily waves at the little two as they both giggle and try to wave back to her in response)
Hawkgirl: Cutie pies!
Diana: Ohhh and just look at their cute little cheeks (goes to lightly pinch their cheeks)
Baby!Damian: slaps her hand away
Diana: Awww and he's a little fighter too! How adorable!
Dinah: Maybe they can have playdates with our son Conner sometime
Clark: Sure! That sounds like it could be fun for them
Hal: They're both little cuties! They look just like you guys!
Clark, playfully ruffling Jon's hair: Thanks! He really does, doesn't he?
Bruce: Damian may be cute but... he can also be very feral
Barry, getting a closer look at Damian: Aww but he doesn't seem so scary to be around, he's adorable!
Baby!Damian: Some how jumps out of his baby carrier and jumps at Hal's face
Hal, falling back: Ahhhhhhh! Help! I'm being attacked by an angry baby!!!!
Barry, immediately while Bruce just has a blank expression: I'll save you, Hal!
Oliver, to baby Jon: Awww, do you want to see me be cool and shoot some arrows? Oh, yes, I bet you do!
Baby!Jon: Happily giggling and clapping his hands in response
Arthur: Oooor maybe he would perfer to see me do some really cool tricks with my triton instead
Oliver: No, he obviously wants to see me be cool, which is something you definitely aren't, Aquaman
Arthur, offended: You take your cruel word's back!
Oliver, glaring at Arthur:..... No
Bruce, annoyed: Shouldn't you all be focusing on more important things? Like League work?
Diana, playing patty cake with Jon: Oh, c'mon, Bruce. We're just trying to get to know the little two
Bruce, grabbing Damian off of Hal's face since Barry failed to do it himself: And you already did, so it's time to get back to work
Baby!Damian: Begins to cry
Bruce, pinching his nose due to being able to smell Damian's diaper: Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go change Damian's diaper and when I get back, I want to see you all getting busy with your work
The League members watching Bruce as he walks away: .....
Also the League once Bruce is gone: Immediately go straight to interacting with Clark and Baby!Jon again
Later, after changing Damian's diaper:
Bruce, comes back with a clean diaper hanging on his head that Damian threw at him as he sees the League still cooing over Baby!Jon: Ahem!
The League: Turns to look at him
Hal, as if he and the rest of the group are being interrupted: What?
Bruce, annoyed, as he throws the wasted diaper off of his head: Can we get back to focusing on our work already? We have important things to do
Soon, Bruce and Clark put both baby Damian and Jon in their baby gate so that they can play with eachother while they work
Baby!Jon, as Bruce and Clark go to have their League meeting at the nearby table: Tries to grab a toy from Damian's side
Baby!Damian: Hits Jon's hand to say no, sadding the little half Kryptonian after he does
Meanwhile, with Clark and Bruce:
Clark, after Bruce hit his hand: Hey! Rude!
Bruce: That's my pen and whenever I let someone around here use my pen, they never give it back to me, so don't even think about touching it
Clark: Okay, jeez, Grumpy
Baby!Damian, after standing up: Does a literal flip that he learned from Talia to get out of the baby gate
Also Baby!Damian as he's walking away from his baby gate: Quickly waves over at Baby!Jon to follow him
Baby!Jon: Tries to his best to jump outside of the baby gate a couple of times but fails and begins to float in the air instead to escape with his best friend
Damian and Jon both then runaway together to go have some fun in the League base
Meanwhile:
Diana, with shopping bags on her arms as she's holding two fluffy teddy bears in her hands: Hey, can I give these to Damian and Jon? I just bought them
Clark, confused: Wait- huh? You just went out shopping in the middle of the meeting? How did I not see you leave-
Diana, cutting him off: Can I give this to them, yes or no?
Bruce: Only after it's passed inspection
Diana: What?
Bruce, grabbing the teddy bear that's meant for Damian as Clark simply takes the one that's meant for Jon: You never know what crazy villains may be disguised as some Toy shop keeper and could be selling you things that you don't even know are secretly dangerous
Diana: .... They're just teddybears
Bruce, about to cut open the teddy bear to make sure it's safe: Not to me, until I know that for sure
Diana, seeing this: Hey! I paid for those!
Clark: (Quickly grabs the teddy bear away from Bruce, earning a glare from him) Uh, hey, you don't have to do that, Bruce. You could just put it through the X-ray scanner here and see it, you know?
Bruce, still glaring at him: Right, cause you just know everything, don't you?
Clark, as him Bruce both walk past Damian and Jon's baby gate to go scan both bears (to calm Bruce's paranoia): (Gasp!) Bruce! The babies! They're gone!!! We have to go find them!
Bruce: (Drops Damian's teddy bear) We need to go search for them! Now! (Runs to go look for them with Clark following him from behind)
Back to Damian and Jon in the weapons room:
Baby!Damian: Happily playing with one of Diana's old swords
Baby!Jon: Giggling while throwing one of Oliver's extra arrows at the wall
They soon see a hole being created in one of the walls there
It is soon revealed to be the Joker who's breaking into the room through the walls as he's covered in armor and has some Kryptonite tucked away in his belt as well. He was planning to steal some of the Leagues weapons and use it against them
The Joker, bending down to Damian and Jon's very small height to get a better look at them: Ooooh, and who are these two little beans just sitting around?
Baby!Jon: Begins to cry after seeing the Joker's terrifying face very close in front of him
Baby!Damian: Gets mad that his best friend is crying and stands up in front of Jon, glaring at Joker
The Joker, amused by his young bravery: Oh, what are you going to do? Fight me?
Baby!Damian: Angrily pulls his nose
The Joker, in pain: Ahhhh!
The Joker, as he angrily grabs Baby!Damian and glares at him: Why youuu little-
Baby!Jon, in defense, Lasers the Joker's shoes, burning his feet with hot heat (but not enough to lit them on fire or laser them off)
The Joker: (Drops Baby!Damian and immediately grabs his feet in pain as he begins to hop around the room) Arrrggggh!!!
Baby!Jon catches Baby!Damian and helps him stand up
They both each grab a weapon from the room
Baby!Damian grabs one of Diana's old swords and swings it at the Joker, making him quickly move back
Baby!Jon, with one of Diana's old shields, throws it at the Joker's direction, knocking him down to the ground
The Joker then tries standing up, about to pull out the Kryptonite from his belt
Baby!Damian: Turns on a switch on one of the rockets that Cyborg created, making it quickly turn on and and fly in Joker's direction, knocking him out
They both then throw a random net on top of him and happily high five eachother and crawl out of the room through one of the vents there
Back to Bruce and Clark and the rest of the League who are looking for Damian and Jon:
Superman, using his x-ray vision everwhere: I can't see them anywhere!
Bruce: Keep looking!
Clark: Wait! I can hear something!
Bruce and the rest of the League listen with him in silence
Bruce, taking out a Batarang: In the vents! (Throws it at the vent, slicing it open as Damian falls out of it and falls safely into his arms giggling)
Clark then lasers through the vent, letting Baby!Jon also fall safely into his arms with a smile on his face as he joyfully claps his hands
The League members quickly surround them both, happy that Damian and Jon are okay
Hal, behind them: Hey guy's, you won't believe this! But... The Joker is knocked out in the weapons room!
Minutes later:
Diana: How did he get knocked out when no one was around to fight him?
Barry: What an idiot, he must've gotten himself knocked out while walking around in this room
Oliver: What do we do with him now?
Bruce, with a smile as he hugs baby!Damian who's in his arms, as Clark is also hugging Baby!Jon: We send him back to Arkham, but the most important thing here though is that these two are safe
Jon and Damian both happily giggle at the warm hugs from their Father's and soon fall asleep in their arms after the fun day they had together as the young Supersons
(I just wanted to do something silly and cute :) )

I really like the idea of Catatonic Jason taking care of baby Damian. Like, yes, he's traumatized beyond belief. He's being trained to kill, and yet there's this softness in him. Talia recognizes the instinct to protect the innocent, allowing Jason to care for her son. She hopes it will ground him and in a way it does. It's almost natural to him. But then he's resurrected by the pit.
This new Jason is confused, half mad from the process. Most importantly he doesn't remember anything. His body does, all of his training coming through well practiced moves. But this boy is too angry and volatile, and Talia will not risk his baby with him. No matter how much her heart wants to believe he would remember holding him too.
Jason leaves. Talia and Damian follow his progress watching him progressively calm down. The effects of the pit can be combated, and Talia was relieved her initial assumption had been right: Jason Todd was still in there. It was harder on Damian. It's one thing to rationally understand why his brother couldn't remember him, and another thing entirely to accept it.
Once he moved to the manor, the absence felt even greater. Everything was so backwards, and the only person he could have found some sense of comradely with didn't remember him. What's more, he didn't even seem all that interested in reconnecting with his family at first.
Damian watched him struggle from afar, dealing with grief, anger and guilt on his own. He watched seething with jealousy as Jason tried to mend his relationship with Tim. "He's only nice to you because he feels guilty about punching a kid", he pettily thought. It wasn't fair at all, so he stuck to calling him Todd instead of Jason.
Richard was the only saving grace in the whole family, and thus the only one capable of making him feel included. It took a while, especially when his father and Drake came back, derailing their lovely routine. He wasn't going to complain about having another chance to prove himself to father, but he missed Richard.
Live continued, and slowly he felt more and more like he truly belonged. The feeling not coming from a single cathartic experience but a myriad of small domestic moments. It is one of those moments when it happens.
He has hurt his leg fighting Killer Croc, and Jason had offered to help him to his room since Bruce still needed to finish something on the computer. It was getting less and less rare to see Red Hood in the cave or Jason Todd upstairs. Everyone still treated him like a loud noise would spook him and Damian wondered if that's how they'd seen him once.
Jason jokes around when he grabs him in bridal carry and Damian threatens the safety of his reproductive organs. It's an old song and dance, and they quickly go back to ignoring each other. It is Jason who breaks the meditative silence again, starting to hum a familiar melody halfway through the stairs.
Damian can't place it at first, and Jason doesn't seem to realize he's doing it. He's walking down the corridor when he actually starts whispering the lyrics, almost in a trance. Damian tenses, recognizing the nursery rhyme Jason used to sing to him back when he was a kid.
The movement seems to snap Jason out of his reverie, standing completely still for a moment. Damian watches enraptured as the realization dawns on him, his brother's head snapping back to him. His eyes are wide open and slightly shiny as he regards Damian like it's the first time he's truly seeing him.
"Habibi?" Jason asks, still sounding far away.
Damian contorts himself to hug him, the pressure on his chest finally releasing as his brother finally comes back to him.
It takes him a while to recover his memories of their time together, but for the first time Jason actually wants to remember. He's had to wade through enough green-tinged half memories, filled with grief and shame. Damian's memories are different. They're from a time when he barely existed, reduced to pure instinct. And yet, that version of himself had the instinct to care for this child. To love him.
Maybe there was hope for him.

OMG I'm very 👀👀 right now like!! why Jason gotta be immortal? if Sofia is Jay's benefactor, is Talia out of the picture?? AND DICK!! tell us more about their hatership! what is up with that?!?!?
WOOMPH OKAY so. first question is a heavy hitter.
Jason being immortal has been a fascinating concept to me, especially with regard to the ending of the UtrH comic (the famous batarang to the neck) and Jason's subtle yet canonical suicidal ideations. The multitude of layers it would add if Bruce had -- accidentally -- killed his son directly in the altercation. Jason's recklessness increasing because who gives a shit. He can die over and over and over. He died once and he came back and he died again and keeps coming back and he wishes he would stop coming back but here he is, vision pin-light green, crawling back to the land of the living and at some points it is against his will.
A more frank answer is that I love angst, I love whump, I think it's interesting to look at complicated familial relationships that get even more complicated because Dick and Bruce have very real, horrible opportunities to watch Jason die in real time and his revival never fixes the genuine issues they have. It doesn't save anything. It never will. There has to be more to repairing the broken relationship between father and son than just the opportunity to try an endless amount of times, but the tragedy of Bruce and Jay is that they will never see eye to eye. It doesn't matter how many opportunities they get.
The same concepts carry over to Sofia, who by this point has seen/caused death and knows it intimately. Sofia knows Jason died. Selina grieved for him. To have the Red Hood show up, to have Jason Todd show up in her life? Bruce's kid she met once or twice whenever she managed to get in the door at a gala, and out of obligation or just general amusement of pissing Bruce off, the one she sent flowers to for his birthday, not thinking a thing of it, until the damn kid sent back a hand-written thank you note?? He's alive??
Not only that, but he's handed her an opportunity to use an unkillable asset. Jason can't stay dead. He can go up against whoever she needs him to go up against and it doesn't matter if he gets killed. He'll get the job done.
(There is also. The uh. Minor infraction of killing him off of an extremely lucky shot the first time they ever cross paths. Twice. Jason's both horrified to find out he can revive and pissed off because the first time did the job, didn't need the second (third) death, thanks, and Sofia's smoking like a freight train.)
Honestly I haven't given a ton of thought to Talia's involvement -- I just reread Lost Days not too long ago and I think while Talia does care, to some degree, about Jason, Jason is a vessel to Bruce, and I imagine there's only so much she can participate in on Gotham soil without tipping Bruce off.
Sofia does not give a fu-huck about that. Not in the beginning. She's trying to keep the Red Hood on a leash and keep him off her neck, because she's heard about what he's done to others. They are working off a professional "you scratch my back I'll scratch yours" type of relationship. It has to be mutually beneficial for it to work. She'll help Jason get after Bruce on grounds of getting what she wants -- the fallout of Batman's potential demise is just an extra tip for the bill. Talia might be there behind the curtain, but Sofia's on the ground, so-to-speak.
I made a half-cracked post about Dick resenting Sofia for having Tony Zucco on payroll, which is in zero way canon or has any supporting evidence obviously, but regardless of that I think Dick would carry a "I don't like you, because you're a crime lord" level of neutral dislike for her that upticks real fast into outright disdain when Jason returns.
Dick thinks Sofia is an enabler and that she's not aware of the consequences Jason directly suffers by helping her; he thinks she willfully wants to isolate Jason from the family (which she does, but not for the reasons he thinks). He blames her for Jason's self-sabotaging ways, he blames her for being one of the reasons why Jason can never come home and integrate, and in turn because Dick is who he is, he blames himself for not being able to push all the buttons in the correct order to bring Jason back into the fold.
Sofia thinks Dick is Bruce's enabler and, considering Dick actually reminds her so much of Alberto, if push comes to shove, Dick is absolutely not choosing Jason. He will pick Bruce every single time, just like Alberto chose Carmine while lamenting Sofia's position. There is love and there is hatred in the hypocrisy. Each of them believe they know Jason better than the other and each of them think the other is less superior emotionally. They get into the ugliest, nastiest barbed-wire-word fights you've ever seen and walk away from them injured. Jason knows they don't like each other, but he does not have any idea the level of vicious these two go.
But they also work together when it matters. Sofia knows she cannot offer Jason comfort; that job is Dick's. Dick knows he cannot be utilitarian when the situation calls for it; Sofia can. Dick will hold Jason's dying body in his hands while Sofia pulls the trigger.
(And in the time it takes Jason to come back to them, they are so ugly with one another it would put a season finale of Real Housewives to shame.)
They both have to come to ugly terms that they both want what's best for Jason, but their definitions of "best" are vastly different. And they will hate each other for it.

GOOD EASILY FADES AWAY [VILLAIN, Ch. II)
Tumblr media
Read on AO3 here!
Finally given room to breathe, Damian returned to his position at Raven’s side. He placed a gentle hand at her lower back. “Mother, this is my Raven.”
Bruce Wayne coughed into his elbow.
“That escalated quickly,” Selina muttered into her wine glass. “Alfred, be a dear and top this off.”
“Only if you save some for me, Miss Kyle.”
Selina and Alfred both watched with the rapt attention of opera attendees as Talia looked between Damian and Raven.
“It’s nice to finally meet you,” Raven said. “Damian’s told me a lot about you.”
“I would hope so.” Those similar jade eyes drifted back to Damian. Then to Raven.
Raven prodded ever so slightly with spectral senses at Talia’s emotions. She felt absolutely nothing from her. The underlying love and adoration Talia felt for Damian had a strong presence in the room. But there was nothing else. No hint of annoyance or delight. Like Talia was only made of logic.
It should’ve been a comfort to Raven, not to have her senses overwhelmed with every single person in the room, but a new wariness rose. Being an empath had its rare perks. She could sense things in conversation that others couldn't. Raven had no idea what irritated Talia, what she liked…
“I have something for you. Come,” Talia gestured languidly with her arm, a movement that rivaled the sleekness of a raindrop gliding down skin. Talia danced to her seat. There was no word close enough to describe her inhumanly-fine grace.
“Why is she seated at the head of the table in your house?” Selina hissed to Bruce.
“She’s only in town for the evening. She’ll be gone soon. Just let her do what she wants.”
“Last time you did that, she drugged you and forced you into conceiving that,” Selina’s gaze slipped toward Damian. They glared daggers at one another.
Bruce sighed, “You won't let that go, will you?”
“Alfred! More wine!”
Alfred sprinted to the rescue, uncorking a new bottle. Raven and Damian stood across from Bruce and Selina, about to sit down.
“I was hoping she’d sit by me, beloved,” Talia said.
Raven and Damian exchanged a look. Bruce audibly gulped.
“Okay,” Raven said, ignoring the intensity of the room as she moved over one. Damian seated her before taking the chair across from Selina.
“Damian told me you were incredibly well-read. I thought you might appreciate these,” Talia set a stack of three hardcover books on the table, tied with a green bow. “Excuse the plainness, I’m not much of a gift wrapper.”
“No, her expertise is chloroform and handcuffs,” said Selina, rolling her eyes.
Alfred moved to fill Selina’s wine glass. Bruce raised a hand, “We’ll take a break for now, Alfred.”
“Thank you,” Raven ignored their exchange and undid the bow to her gift. She studied the golden inscription along the spines.
“They’re some of the rarest novels from my father’s library. Ra’s had some collections delivered directly from Alexandria’s Library,” Talia said proudly.
Damian peeked over Raven’s shoulder at the titles. They exchanged a small glance. Raven begged him silently not to open his mouth.
“They’re lovely,” Raven said.
Talia’s acute awareness of her son was uncanny. “Something on your mind, beloved?”
Raven’s hands curled into her napkin beneath the table. When this is over, we’re establishing new pet names.
“She’s read all of those already,” Damian said quietly.
“Ah,” Talia leaned back in her chair.
“It’s a wonderful gift. I enjoyed them very much — it’s nice to have physical copies,” Raven said.
“Yes. Perhaps you can visit me and we’ll look at Ra’s books together,” Talia said. Something Raven couldn't identify seeped into Talia’s tone. “I only wish I had met you sooner. It would’ve been nice to show you Damian’s home.”
“My home is here.” Damian said. His hand found Raven’s knee beneath the table. “You decided long ago that it was best for me to stay with father.”
Talia’s mouth opened right as the double doors burst.
“ ‘Ello, Batsy!” John Constantine bounded into the room with a bottle of champagne under each arm. His boyfriend, Nanue, was on his left, Zatanna Zatara on his right.
Zatanna gasped as soon as she saw Raven. She skirted the table to swoop down for a hug. “Look at you! Your hair looks so pretty —! You look so cute in bangs. Someone might mistake us as mother and daughter!”
Zee’s soft laugh filled the uncomfortable silence of the room along with John’s loud voice and Nanaue’s thundering footsteps. John’s eyes met Raven’s as he set the champagne down, suddenly seeming to read the frostiness of the room.
“Little stiff in here, eh?” Constantine nudged Selina with an elbow. Raven could’ve sworn she heard a hiss.
“These are your parents…?” Talia’s voice cut clearly across the noise.
Raven’s brain was already tongue-tied, trying to map out the answer to the question.
Zatanna turned away from Raven. “Oh! You’re Talia, it’s so nice to see you again! We met after one of my performances, didn't we? Bruce took you —”
“Of course he did,” Selina muttered. She uncorked one of the champagne bottles with a batarang. A vein was showing on Bruce’s forehead.
Talia’s slender finger pointed at Zatanna. “You’re the magician. The entertainer. Ah, yes, I remember you. You specialized in making elephants float.”
“She can do a lot more than that, love,” John winked. The sound of a chair groaning across the floor followed as John dragged it to the head of the table, wedging himself between Raven and Talia. It was hard for Raven to discern why John would sit there of all places, but he usually found himself directly in the line of fire, anyway.
“Selina, always a delight! Damian! You look as yummy as ever!” Nanaue licked his rows of razor-sharp teeth.
Damian shuddered and looked away. Bruce raised his empty wine glass, “Alfred?”
“Coming, Master Bruce.”
“What are those?” John flipped open one of the books Talia had given Raven. “Oh, Alexandria’s stuff, yeah? I have the real copies at the House.”
“Excuse me?” Talia said. Her perfectly-curved eyebrows knit together like knives clashing.
“Yeah. Couple of fake copies out in the world. You can tell these three are some of them due to the binding on the spines,” John shrugged.
When he saw Raven’s look of disdain, his head turned slightly to the side. Raven could hear the gears clicking in his brain. “Oh, bollocks! It’s gift-giving time! We have something for Demon Boy, don't we —? Zee, Nan, stop flirting with the teenage boy.”
“We’re not!” The two said.
Both hovered over Damian. Zee’s hand was on Damian’s bicep, “Wow, that is authentic.”
“And he smells like a sweet potato pie!” Nanaue chuckled.
Bruce said, “Alfred, more wine.”
“I’m afraid we’re out, sir.”
“...Damn.” the strong, well-collected Batman pouted over his empty wine glass.
“We’ve got something for the Demon Boy, alright,” John Constantine stood, “Follow me, Baby Bat.”
John strolled along the table to the large french windows lining one of the walls. Damian looked at Raven as if to say, do I have to? before standing upright.
Damian joined the dark arts master at the windowsill. The windows looked out at the pure black night — but some red still bled along the tips of the sky.
Damian’s back grew rigid.
“What is that?” he said.
Constantine smiled, but it wasn't a true, happy smile. It was his mocking, I’m-being-an-ass-and-I-know-it smile.
“Your present. From me, to you. I heard you’re into hellspawn,” Constantine said.
Raven shoved her napkin aside. The exuberant feelings wafting off of Constantine worried her. She briskly made her way towards them, “John —”
A loud roar came from outside. The building shook. Glasses rattled (there were many empty wine bottles on the table now, courtesy of Bruce and Selina). Dust hissed from a ceiling crevice.
Steel shrieked in the air.
“What have you done?” Talia said. When Raven looked back, Damian’s mother had drawn a long sword. She stood on the table.
“So dramatic,” Selina rolled her eyes. “Could’ve at least chosen one with a hilt that matched your dress. Some thought into an outfit goes a long way.”
Raven reached the windowsill. The sight before her almost coaxed a scream from her lips. The reddened sky wasn't from the sunset — it was fire .
Flames spouted from a massive dragon bat destroying the grounds. It pounced on the shrubs cut into animals and left the grass scorching. Its long claws scarred the ground. Crimson-leathery wings stretched outward, fanning the flames.
Raven’s fingers clenched the windowpane with a grip so tight it hurt. She looked back to Damian’s face — her breath caught in her throat. A look of wonder crossed Damian’s face. There was a small smile on his lips.
“I like him.”
Raven looked back and forth between the smoldering lawn and the flames reflected in her boyfriend’s eyes.
“You want to keep him?” Raven said.
Damian’s nod was slow. He was still transfixed by the beast.
Constantine chuckled to himself.
Raven shot him a glare. Why would he give Damian anything at all? Raven didn't mention gifts. Constantine had already voiced his hatred of Damian Wayne. So why —?
“Go on, say hi,” Constantine urged.
Damian raced to the far right window and threw it open. A precarious rope swayed before him. He took hold and slipped down the building.
“Who put that rope there?” Bruce said.
Alfred shifted from one foot to another. “You have a lot of rebellious children, Master Bruce. Perhaps someone wanted to ignore a curfew…”
Raven and Talia reached the window at the same time. She gripped her sword tight.
“This is what happens when I leave my habibti in the hands of his father,” Talia growled.
Constantine’s laughter continued. Raven turned to him and the full-out grin on his face.
“Why would you…?” Raven paused. A sick, disgusting answer dawned on her.
No. That can't be true. That’s insane.
And incredibly hilarious.
Raven ignored her father’s voice in her head. She took a step towards Constantine.
“You didn't.” she said.
“Uhuh.” John was still smirking.
“I can't believe you!” A crack jutted up the glass window between them as Raven’s voice rose.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
Raven closed the distance between them until only inches remained between John’s face and hers. “You hate my boyfriend so much you tried to kill him?”
Damn. I think this is the one time I’m rooting for that glorified quack of a magician.
SHUT UP!
“Kill is a strong word. Scare, maim perhaps —” Constantine’s tone remained nonchalant, and that angered her more.
“You can’t respect my decision to be with him?” Raven snapped. The house shook once more, but not from the demon bat outside.
“Respect the decision of a teenager? Boy, never thought you to be the delusional type, love,” Constantine said.
“And I suppose your bold move to threaten Batman’s son is completely logical.”
Constantine sighed. He slapped his hands over his eyes and slowly dragged them down, stretching his face. “Oi, kids are a headache. Look, love. You come from the realm of magic, monsters, and mayhem. Baby Bat deserves to know —”
Raven interrupted him. “He already does! We were in my head a month ago, for Azar’s sake!”
Constantine shook his head. Zatanna approached them. She shot a scowl at Constantine that faded into an uneasy expression.
“Unleashing a demon bat on Robin was dumb, John. But…you do have a point,” Zee looked at Raven. Her unspoken apology was written in her blue-gray eyes.
Raven’s eyes darted between them. Zatanna didn't simply remain in John Constantine’s life. A moment when John held Zatanna’s hand once in Raven’s head flashed across her mind.
“Funny. You’re judging my romantic partners when a lot could be said about yours.” Raven said.
Constantine’s face filled her vision. His voice lowered to a threatening timber. “Don't go there, love. You’ll regret that.”
“Like I’ll regret asking you here tonight?”
“By the gods,” Talia’s plea cut them off.
Everyone’s gaze trickled back to the window. All warmth left Raven. She had let her attention stray from Damian. He was strong. But could he hold off a huge, fire-breathing monster —?
Raven and Constantine looked out the window together, frozen.
“What the bloody fuck.”
The dragon bat pounded the ground with its claws. Dirt went flying in all directions. Its eyes were intent on the massive branch in Damian’s hand.
When he threw it, the beast trampled what little stood in the gardens. Its footsteps boomed like thunder. The demon bat jumped in midair, leather wings slapping the air as a mouth full of massive teeth clamped on the stick —
“What do you know? He really hits it off with hellspawn!” Constantine said, amazed.
Raven and Zatanna glared at him. Zee shook her head at him, “When this night is over, we’re taking a parenting class.”
Selina approached the window with her empty glass of wine. She skimmed the destruction outside with little care. A cruel smile came to her lips as she looked over at Talia, gaping as her son played fetch with the giant monster.
“Books seem like a pretty lame gift now,” said Selina.
Talia sighed. “I knew I should’ve given her the cursed swords instead…”
Bruce banged his head against the table in the background.
Damian waved at the broken dinner party from the ground. The demon bat charged towards him and sat by his side, drooling over the tree branch.
Damian’s eyes met Raven’s, “Rachel — this is our child now! Come meet Goliath!”
— O U T S I D E   T H E   D I N I N G   R O O M —
The Batfamily lingered outside the door to the dining room, stuffing hands into their mouths to muffle laughter.
“You think we should call for help?” said Tim from his hiding spot behind the drapes.
Jason Todd snickered as he studied the new hellscape of a lawn. “I like the drunk magician’s style. They’re gonna be dope-ass in-laws!”
“Do you think we should go and help them?” Stephanie asked.
The Batkids looked at one another.
“Nah. They’re fine.”
Jason glanced over at Dick, “Hey, Dildo. If I order Doordash, will Demon Boy’s new pet chase the delivery guy?”
“There are women present, Todd. Clean up your language,” Cass said. “And order some ice cream, we’re out.”

Batfam Monster AU Info
Tumblr media
This post contains what I have so for in terms of each character, and is open to change.
I believe my questions are open, so if anyone has any, ask away, and I'll try to figure it out!
Bruce Wayne
In this AU, Bruce's backstory is pretty much the same as canon. I tried to think of what to make him, and had no idea. I didn't want him to be a vampire, because there are already so many Vampire!Batman Au's, which I love, but I wanted to do something different.
So Bruce Wayne is a human. His parents were still shot in crime alley, and he became batman same as canon. And as happens often, gets mistaken for a monster/crypid. This then Ieads to multiple children with various afflictions and curses tracking him down, and then him adopting and/or becoming their cool uncle.
he's tired, and wonders what choices lead him to this moment.
Barbara Gordon
Babs ended up getting bit as a teen -I haven't decided the hows and whys yet- and is transformed into a vampire.
she struggles with the changes and the new urges that come with the transformation, and upon remembering the rumors about the infamous batman, she decides to borrow her fathers batsignal and get some much needed advice.
Dick Grayson
Everyone in Gotham knows the tale of the fall of the flying graysons.
After Tony Zuccos sabotage of the trapeze, all three of the flying graysons fell to their deaths. Of course, as far as the public knows, two parents left their son behind.
A psychic of halys circus takes pity on the fallen boy, and uses all she has to give Richard a second chance at life. But she couldn't heal everything. All of his bones were crushed in the fall, and he was left with some less then ideal side affects.
she just hopes that playboy bruce wayne has the available facilities to give the boy the care he needs.
Jason Todd
Jason's Todd used to be a normal boy, or as normal as you can be when you are adopted by a billionare who moonlights as batman, who makes you his sidekick.
With big shoes to fill, he can be quite impulsive, and has made a couple on mistakes, the biggest of which gets him killed. You's all know what happens next, he comes back, in a body which sometimes falls apart of him, and a major grudge with a bat, and a score to settle with a clown.
Tim Drake
Timothy Drake, heir to the drake fortune, and werewolf.
After his parents tick off the wrong person, who happens to be a werecreature. They end up being monster chow and there only son is transformed. With no parents and am uncontrollable curse, he lingers on Gotham rooftops watching his heros, Batman and the boy wonder.
After Robins death, realising the batman has no intensions of finding another robin, decides he knows how to fix both of their problems.
Cassandra Cain
when David Cain wanted to create the ultimate human weapon, inspired by mythology, he experimented with gene modification. He created a girl who shared the abilities of the nalusa falaya, a being known to melt into the shadows attacking hunters, giving them power to do evil to others.
After her first kill, she was found by Barbara Gordon after he reported being saved from a gunshot by a shadow.
Stephanie Brown
After discovering her fathers wizard heritage, and his plans for Gotham, begins experimenting in witchcraft, attempting to master the craft, so she can spoil -
"Get it, spoiler? Cuz I'm spoiling his plans?"
- eventually, word reached batman and his crew, everyone knows nothing escapes them, and she is busted by the boy wonder himself.
Damian al ghul-Wayne
After Bruce Waynes relationship with Talia al ghuIs crashed and burned upon discovering her father is that Al Ghul, the demonhead and carnivorous werewolf, he left unknowing his ex was expecting.
Only discovering this ten years later, after Talia delivers said baby to Wayne manor.
At least he has experience with werecreature children?
Duke Thomas
After the Thomas family was the victim of a joker attack, ending in both parents being in a permanently jokerised state, and their only son is killed, his spirit staying in Gotham.
He is trying to learn to live in this new state, with the assistance of the Wayne Clan, he just might make it.

Que tontos que locos
somos tu y yo
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Time hasn't helped me to forget you
Bruce was walking around his city late at night. He knew he'll be fine. He's Batman for god sakes.
He had just made a huge mistake (that what's he kept telling himself that). He's married with someone else now..not with her anymore. No matter how many years passed it felt like he fell with in love again but not with Selina but...Talia. whenever he had the opportunity to see her.
I still feel the taste of your kisses on my lips
He blinks as he continued walking. This woman had save his life from death. She always save him and their sons from death. That kiss she gave him had an antidote from preventing him dying from the Scorpio poison.
She was trying to save him.
And he kissed her back.
There was a reason why was Damian existed And Jason back from the dead. And that forbidden kissed they had, remember why they loved each other so dearly.
And I don't want to continue like this
Being with her and thinking of you
Bruce grunted a little as he shook his head a little and run his hand though his hair.
"Am I still somewhere in your heart?" She asked him. "You know that answer to that question." He replied back.
Talia nodded softly as she place her head against his. Taking a moment to enjoy what they only had left. He let her warmth against his. Knowing once they thought this was forever and no one could come between them. She was the one who pulled away first as he only watch her faced the wall for a moment. Letting her have a moment to regain her control.
"You were always my passion." she said as she clearled her throat a little.
"And you were always my weakness." He didn't hesitate saying back.
Bruce knew that Talia was always his first actual love. Selina was great but she always played a game with him and Talia always wanted to save him.
How stupid, how crazy,
Being with others but loving each other
He was sitting on the bench looking up at the night sky. And then back down on his hand looking at his wedding ring. But this wedding ring was from the first marriage, the current ring was in his pocket because soon enough when he has to go back home and he'll have to put it on...but right now he still want to believe that he was still with Talia, that Talia was his current wife.
"It was hard seeing you saying your vows to a different woman Because those words of yours use to be mine." Talia admitted. Bruce feeling his heart stung when she said those. If he was going to be honest with himself. It was difficult to say I Do to Selina when Talia was there at wedding for Damian sake.
The honeymoon wasn't great for him, personally. Selina suggested to go to Paris. But Bruce immediately rejected it as he knew fully well that was only for him and her. Making love to Selina was different to him. sure, this wasn't the first time that they slept together but all he could think about Talia. They way she was say his name as it was a siren song or the way she grip softly to his hair or back. Her body was like a forbidden lust that he always crave and oh how she wore the gorgeous moonlight from Paris like lingerie.
What fools
Bruce was on the his batcomputer doing some cases work in hoping to distract himself and pray that Talia scent would already be gone by now. But then heard the someone coming down the Batcave. He didn't have to check who it was when he already knew it was Selina. She came down and went to sat on his lap. Bruce had no choice but to wrap an arm around her. He couldn't neglect her but he didn't wanted to be with her right now.
"I heard that you got poison by a Scorpio" Selina told him.
He only nods.
"How did you heal?" she asked him.
"A help from a close friend."
"Oh? And what did they d-"
"I'm going for a walk, Selina."
He got up and walked out of the Batcave leaving his wife all alone and confused."

Mending a Family 52/?
Prev | Next
The next chapter has them going back home. Anyway, enjoy.
Jason gave Danny and Jazz some space while they said goodbye to their friends. It turned out that while it had been over a year since Danny and Jazz had been away from their dimension, it had only been two days for Tucker and Sam.
Danny had caught up with his friends and had introduced Jason as his dad. Even after all that time, it still warmed Jason’s heart to be considered Danny’s father. Bruce had been strangely quiet the whole time.
Jason was prepared to protect Jazz from Bruce’s ‘every life is precious’ speech, but the man had bitten his tongue, for which Jason was grateful. Jazz did it out of self-defense, but Jack had still been her father. As much as she preached about the benefits of talking about one’s feelings, she kept hers close to her heart like the hypocrite she was.
Watching how happy and animated Danny and Jazz were while talking to Sam and Tucker, Jason suddenly felt a sinking feeling hit the bottom of his stomach. What if Jazz and Danny decided to stay in their home dimension? After all, the Fentons, the main threat to them, were gone. This was their place of birth. They were bound to have other family and friends here. Jazz was eighteen, and they wouldn’t need to forge papers…No, Jason would stay in this dimension if it meant being with his son. He couldn’t, wouldn’t lose him.
“You have a good family,” Bruce said suddenly, stopping Jason’s spiral.
“Are you sure you’re not going to bring up your antiquated moral code right now,” Jason couldn’t help but ask. He had to know if he had to protect Jazz. She would be vulnerable right now, and the last thing she needed was the big bad Bat criticizing her for defending Danny and herself.
“I don’t like the fact that two lives were lost, but I can also recognize that, well, having me bring it up isn’t going to help her, and it won’t bring them back. So no, I won’t say anything about it and keep my thoughts to myself.”
Jason blinked at Bruce, surprised.
“Would you have said the same thing if I had killed them?”
Why would Jason be stupid enough to bring that up when he didn’t have to? Oh, it’s because he was dumb enough to care what Bruce thought.
Bruce and Jason looked up when a light flashed. The girl, Sam, was taking Polaroid pictures. Another flash went off and Bruce still hadn’t answered.
“Jason, I don’t want to lose you again. I don’t like the killing that happened here, but I can keep quiet about it in some instances. Right now, for example. Do I still believe there could’ve been another way? Yes, I do, but I won’t say anything to her about it. I still would’ve kept my mouth shut if it had been you.”
Sam gave Danny one of the photos they had just taken. Danny thanked her and hugged his two friends before walking toward Jason. He ignored Bruce completely.
“Dad, come meet my friends before we leave.”
Jason’s beating heart slowed down at his son’s words. They were still going home with them, and that’s all that mattered. For a second, he wondered if Bruce would feel the same way if Jason were to tell him that he could see them again.
Well, that’s a problem for him in the future.
____
‘Mourn them if you have to, but don’t regret saving your family and yourself.’
Talia’s words echoed in Jazz’s mind as she drank her water. She had left everyone behind and was alone in the kitchen. Jazz could still hear the ‘thunk’ as the dagger hit Jack’s forehead. She had killed someone, not just someone but her father. But she had to! If she didn’t, they would’ve hurt Danny. She had no other choice!
“Breathe, Jazz,” a deep voice said. She turned with a knife she got in her hands.
Nightwing put his hands up in surrender.
“Hey, it’s just me. You need to take deep breaths, or you might faint.”
It wasn’t until Nightwing mentioned it that Jazz noticed she was hyperventilating. She already felt lightheaded.
“Five things you see: go.”
Jazz had to concentrate, but she eventually understood what Nightwing asked her.
“Um, blue bird on your chest. Batman frowning in the corner, Jason’s red hair. The table and, um, she looked around, the Fenton ray gun.”
“Good, good,” Nightwing said softly, “How about four things you feel?”
“The countertop, the tears down my face, um, I don’t—I can’t think. Um.”
“Take your time, Jazz,” Jason said. He was giving her some space.
Jazz took a deep breath and let it out. Then she started hiccupping.
“I’m sorry, it’s just. Ancients, I killed my dad. I know it was to protect Danny, but I killed him.”
She started sobbing and went to her knees.
Nightwing bent down to Jazz’s level.
“What can we do for you, Jazz?”
Jazz shook her head, “I just have to, I have to come to terms. Sorry.”
“You don’t have to apologize.”
“Can you please make sure Danny doesn’t see me like this?”
Jason approached Jazz and put a comforting hand on her shoulder. “Don’t worry. I’ll make sure he stays with his friends. Unless you want me here.”
“No, go with Danny. I’ll be there as soon as I compose myself.”
Jason looked conflicted, but eventually, he left. Jazz was left alone with Batman and Nightwing. Somehow, having the two heroes watch as she broke down wasn’t as bad as she thought.
It still sucked.
“I’m sorry. I just killed a man, and I’m acting like the victim. That must irk you.”
Nightwing and Batman looked at each other.
“The fact that you’re regretting tells us a lot, trust me.”
Talia’s words suddenly came back to her.
“I don’t regret it, though. It was to save Danny; if I had to choose, I would do it again. I wish it hadn’t ended like this. Why couldn’t they just have accepted us? We were their children?”
Jazz broke down again. This time, Nightwing and Batman let her cry.

Note
Have you ever imagined Alley Cat in the scenarios of other movies and shows?
*Wheeze* Have I ever *trails off* Oh. Serious question.
SPOILERS FOR (in order): - Criminal Minds season Eight - The Flash season One - Disturbing Behavior
Lets start with episode twelve of season eight of Criminal Minds: Zugzwang Quick summary of the episode/following episodes: Spencer Reid, a Behavioral Analyst for the FBI. He is slightly paranoid that he may have schizophrenia (like his mother) and so he frequently calls in to talk about his symptoms. He finds out that Maeve Donovan, the doctor/specialist he's been talking to has been being stalked for a long time. Blah blah blah, stalker kidnaps her, Reid freaks, solves puzzles to save her, SHE GETS KILLED BECAUSE STALKER KILLED THEMSELVES AND HER TOO, and Reid has a vicious mourn session.
I wanna see Jason crying over Adrien's dead body because Marinette or Chloe or some other person was so obsessed over him. I wanna see Tim hugging Jason because he knew that Jason doesn't love just anyone, and that Jason was hard to love back. I want Bruce to be supportive of his son dating a guy he only met because he made a few calls to the hospital. Yes, I want Adrien to work as a Neurologist. Has my dude ever said what he wanted to do? No. He's a neurologist. I want to see Jason mournfully informing everyone Adrien knew of his death and then beating Gabriel up for not caring. I want to see Jason struggle past drug use. I want to see Jason pull himself from the field because he can't save everyone, and while he knew that, it hurts so much more, because he thought he could. I want to see him BEG Talia to throw Adrien's attacker into the Lazarus Pit so that he himself can kill them brutally. I want to see autistic anxious mess chess lover Jason mourn a love he never really got to see. Because yes, Jason's first time ever seeing Adrien's face was when it was at gunpoint for the final time.
Secondly, episode eight of season one of The Flash: Flash vs. Arrow
This one's mostly just crack. I want to see Jason have magical rage and try to beat Adrien's Red Hood Hater of a friend up. Does it work? Nah, Chat Noir stops him, happy ending, maybe some cuddles. I don't have near as much thoughts as I do with the first one, unfortunately.
Lets try our hand at a movie, Disturbing Behavior Our little summary is this: New girl at isolated school, cliques and stuff, suddenly everyone's a stickler for the rules. Why? Implants. Why? MCR Explained it well enough. Here's the thing. Teenagers are horny. When the implanted kids have any sexual impulses, they murder the object of their affections. The island becomes a death trap for this girl, her new friend, and her other new friend. Other new friend 100% gets implanted because writers are predictable. They get off the island, other new friend somehow escapes, but we don't get a sequel.
I want to see Adrien move to a Gotham school and watch it lose it's shit. I want Hatter to somehow worm his way into teaching at Gotham Academy because he's... I'm not going to go there, and kids starting to RANDOMELY turn around on their heels from delinquent to teacher's pet to murderer overnight. I want to see Tim (skipped a few grades) be Adrien's friend (Insert Jason as love interest because I loooove a good protective older bro Jason), and Bernard, Mr. Conspiracy theorist, is other friend. Yes, other friend, the one who does weed and then gets implanted. I want to see them struggle to fight their friends in costume until they find out what's going on. I want to see a few of them kidnapped by Hatter (who was experimenting alongside Hugo Strange in Arkham) and narrowly escape. I want to see. Them. Get. Mind. Controlled. Kinda. Because I want the angst.
It's something AM, I'll reblog more when brain works.
