everybody draws Piper showing skin. half the time Shel as well. literally almost EVERYBODY. go look at Piper fanart. is she wearing a crop top? i bet she is. or if she's wearing a dress hers is gonna be one of the most revealing. bonus points if they gave her a belly button piercing. and it's almost always only Piper and/or Shel. i thought we had a whole discussion about sexualizing young indigenous girls back in like 2021 but i guess nobody processed that part cause pjo fandom acts like if they dont have Piper show her stomach or have her shirt ride up they'll die.

I see a totally different thing.

Ray and Fraser are so perfectly in sync that Fraser doesn't even have to chew it all out for Ray because Ray understands Fraser on a much deeper level. Their partnership goes beyond words.

Ray knows Fraser is shaken up (he tells Welsh and Welsh trusts that Ray knows what's going on with Fraser) and that he's working on things on a deeper layer than this case.

Ray hasn't even met Victoria but he knows Scarpa is not to be trusted. She's manipulative and she's playing games with Fraser. He just doesn't know that Fraser sees through it. Even though Fraser keeps telling him.

But Fraser also knows he has this one chance to finally show himself that he is not going to fall for something like this again. Maybe even that he can open up and love.

That he is capable of doing this and not losing himself in the process again. He's learning to bluff.

And he has to do this part alone. Because the other time, it was taken from him by a bullet in the back.

So let me present you the way I see it. Fraser completely trusting Ray to have his back.

Ray being an absolute hero. There was never any doubt in Fraser's mind that Ray would get it, get him.

The Obscure Hidden Yaoi of Ranma 1/2

There's a scene in the manga where Gosunkugi crossdresses to get Ranma's attention(this isn't the first time btw) and sabotage his role in the Romeo & Juliet play.

When he rejects the bomb, they parody a love rejection scene.

Whenever one of Ranma's rivals catches him with a girl that's not Akane/Shampoo, they normally celebrate it and even root for him since he won't be "getting in their way" anymore.

But Gosunkugi gets weirdly jilted about it, heart pumping sound effects and all.

In chapter 200 Gosunkugi gets a set of paper dolls that can control people when given commands. Though accidental, he only puts romantic commands on men.

In particular, Ranma and Gosunkugi's date gets a lot of spotlight, lasting 2 pages out of a 16 page chapter, culminating in this exchange.

After this happened Ranma starts blushing when Gosunkugi walks by and asks what his intentions were earlier.

The next Gosunkugisode is about him reconsidering his thoughts on Ranma since he saved him from bullies, but this gets rebuffed by Gosunkugi buying a mecha armor to defeat him. His crush on Akane gets mentioned less and less.

If the armor doesn't punch the desired target in 30 minutes both the wearer and the target will explode. By the end of the chapter, Ranma has a speech about pride and fighting Gosunkugi fairly. The only part of it that he notices is "man to man".

After this Gosunkugi tearfully swoons over Ranma acknowledging him, describing his current situation as a lovers' suicide and apologizing for not wanting to do it.

The chapter ends with Gosunkugi not being able to finish a sentence directed to Ranma with similar wording to the earlier scene about him being accepted.

Even though he sits directly behind Ranma, this is the last time Gosunkugi ever ambushes him. Even though he sits next to Akane, he never shows any reaction to her anymore and seems to be looking at someone else instead. He only uses his straw dolls to fidget with.

The last line Gosunkugi ever has in the manga has him sweating heavily with his heart beating fast after finding a supposed wedding ring that Ranma had buried in the ground(with Ranma blushing in the back for good measure).

This was just an excuse to list the fruitiest moments these two had.

As a bonus, here's a minor detail that I noticed. Whenever Ranma's rivals want to insult him, they all go "Yurusan!(Unforgivable!)" or "Onore!!(You!!)".

But Gosunkugi instead repeatedly says "Saotome no Baka!!(Stupid Saotome!!)" just like his suitors do.

Troublesome Tangmere and 249 Squadron Reliable Rebecca!

In an ideal world, we could've had a story where Tangmere causes good old Sundrian Confusion and Delay and then promptly eats shit.

Rebecca as 249 Squadron wasn't my idea, but it's been ingrained into my head nonetheless. I like the idea of a Rebecca that spent most of her life in scrapyards and storage and then still coming out singing- quite literally! But the trauma of it is still very much there, just... lingering. I imagine 'What Rebecca Does' was one of those moments where her anxiety and self doubt got the better of her- she only spent a short while on rails, and while she did pull expresses like The Night Ferry back on the mainland, here on Sodor it seemed that everyone is much more.... experienced and worldly and cool, and most of all, they got modifications and rebuilds to work around their design flaws while Rebecca is still very much an unrebuilt bulleid pacific. Poor girl's not sure what she can really do, after all these years and with her mechanical problems. This isn't even getting into when she WAS in service- her family was fine, and quite loving actually- and the ex SR engines were a decent sort! Everyone else, however...

The Avengers meeting was long in a way that he felt like Steve was padding this meeting out for the simple fact everyone was here. It is so interesting that The War Doctor (8.5) separates himself SO much from The Doctor just because he realizes he is losing his honor and dignity in the Time War. He doesn’t want people to associate the atrocities with The Doctor because he knows The Doctor is good and he is not.

Of course in doing so, he doesn’t recognize that he is in fact, The Doctor too. Probably why it was easier for him to choose war and sacrifice despite seeing his future versions destroyed emotionally by the genocide and what continues to come after the fact.

Yknow I've heard a lot of (generally very valid) complaints about the writing of Fallout games, but man. Why did no one tell me that Fallout 4 kinda fucks

I just dove into the memories of the man who killed my husband, who I killed in turn, and discovered in another life I could've been him, made the same choices, because of the same grief and fear and lack of agency. And all of that was experienced inside the synthetic brain of a man who considers himself the mechanical ghost of a long-dead detective, who volunteered without hesitation to help because he considers himself profoundly expendable.

I think some pieces of the story and world can feel rushed, or reward blunt violence too much, or lean a bit trite- but there's a LOT of pieces that are shockingly compelling, and (for all its faults!) make me want to make something even a tenth as good
