You can pick one each day, try to combine them into one work, or skip any day that offers prompts you find less appealing. Anything that reminds you of the topic of the prompt is encouraged and accepted. The only requirements are that the work is about the pairing, previously unposted, made by you, and that you tag things correctly if your works include sensitive subjects or are adult in nature. Anything written, visual, auditory, or any combination thereof goes.

ROUGH sketches but my design for mairon's initial form is HEAVILY inspired by depictions of the automatons of hephaestus, particularly Talos! inspirations for the design itself definitely also came from that, but also from the puppetmaster from ghost in the shell!

i think it's not out of character for Aule to have created mechanical wonders, and I personally headcanon that Mairon was drawn to them, and actually never got used to flesh forms, with their extremely amorphous, shapeshifting nature being born of the fact that he finds it INCREDIBLY easy to squish around in them.

i also headcanon that in their early days of interaction, mairon was incredibly composed, and melkor was really the only one who could actually get mairon pissed to the point of losing his composure. at one point, this got to the point where mairon got so angry that he partially melted himself.

I have a jumble of assorted thoughts about how Melkor is canonically, at his strongest, more powerful than all of the Valar combined, yet "alone of the Valar, Morgoth knew fear." He consistently runs away from fights that he could, in all likelihood, win- the biggest example is the fact that he would've avoided fighting Fingolfin altogether if he wasn't more afraid of appearing afraid in front of his forces?

Something something where in the mind of Iluvatar did he come from to know fear, something something despite being outmatched by Melkor on multiple occasions, apparently the other Valar do not actually know fear, etc

like to me, melkor is a figure against the creator deity, but he is ALSO poludnitsa. the lady of the cold. yuki onna. he's such an uncanny entity of folklore explaining heatstroke/frostbite. indirectly a goddamn deity of humors because through melkor, living things kind of learned that Too Hot Too Cold Too Dry Too Wet or Any Combination of These is a bad thing.

im trying to figure out how i like to draw melkor ft LISTEN i just love how he embodies the extremes of temperatures. also there's mairon. and the silmarills. anyways i think melkor actually gives very strong Lady of the Cold Moominvalley uncanny valley vibes

these quotes in particular about morgoth vs fingolfin, i am particularly a big fan of:
