I legit had tears when I saw his like notification! That was the first time I felt good yesterday after that scene!!
He's literally out here virtually hugging & healing his fans who are grieving.. marvelous man ♥️
He must feel really proud though, he impacted so so many people with this work..
I think I might cry some more for a happier reason...today was awful...but this makes it better. 🥹

Sam Winchester x GN!Reader
Warnings: NSFT, MDNI, Early seasons Sam (spoilers S1-3), Romantic, Mentions nightmares, Mentions of sex, fingering, This is my opinion based on Sam's character and what I've watched so far
An: I'm so insane guys, I just had to dump out all my Sammy thoughts <3 I'm working on the Leon thing but I hated it and started over :( anyhow, enjoy my insanity.
----
Sam is a gentle lover, his nature alone is naturally gentle. He doesn't see the world in black and white but rather shades of gray. He doesn't like lying or doing things he considers unnecessary.
I feel like Sam doing things irrationally comes from being pushed to the edge. He gets put under so much stress or such a drive to save someone that he does stuff that isn't like him. Even then, he tends to have a plan of what he's gonna do.
I personally think Sam has nightmares. Between the psychic visions he would have and all the tragedies he's witnessed. I especially feel like his mom, Jessica, and Madison are recurring ones. I would say he takes sleeping pills but I also think maybe he's too on edge to make himself that vulnerable.
It would be hard to get Sam into another relationship. With all the tragedies of the other girls he fell for, he'd be worried to indulge in someone else..
Sam smells like pine trees, very earthy I can imagine. If you've ever walked into a motel room, it's freshly cleaned, that kind of smell is something I also associate with him.
When thinking of products he uses specifically. He definitely has some good smelling shampoo and conditioner for that hair. Also thinking of maybe old spice products such as deodorant (not sure why, it just feels right.) Maybe it's something Jessica introduced him to and he's always stuck with it now, not wanting the trouble of changing it. That is if he has the option of choice, free motel products are probably the norm for him.
Imagining a sleeping Sam in those plaid pajama pants and a gray T-shirt, or no shirt preferably.
But if he did allow himself to be with someone again...
Sam is a gentleman. We see him opening doors and comforting people all the time in the show. He would open any door for you, hold you, comfort you, whatever you needed.
Sam is a big baby at times! Sometimes he is so pathetic and I mean that in the most loving way ever. He definitely loves cuddles and not having to sleep alone, especially if he has nightmares or visions. It helps having you there to comfort him, just knowing he isn't alone.
Imagine giving Sam a bracelet or anything he can wear honestly, he'd wear it all the time. My first thought being just some simple bracelet you think would suit him, he'd never take it off. Pulling his jacket sleeve over it during hunts to make sure it doesn't get damaged.
If Sam was worried about your safety in a situation, he'd keep you so close. If he could, he'd hold your hand or keep his arm around you. Beforehand, he'd definitely try to make you stay at the motel and wait.
Sam seems like he'd hold his jacket over you if it suddenly started raining. He never cared if he got soaked by the rain. But you? He'd go the extra mile, or he'd just give you his jacket if you looked cold.
But also kissing in the rain?? Stupidly cliche but maybe after a day of researching with him you get caught out in the rain. However, you don't mind as you drag him into a kiss, tangling a hand into his wet hair. Who is he to deny you?
After stressful hunts, you and Sam will curl up in the motel room together. Sam laying face down between your legs, his head resting on your stomach or chest. His arms wrapped around your waist or rubbing your hips/thighs.
---NSFW---
You love to mess with his hair and he loves when you do. Just running your fingers through it brings him a sense of calm.
Pet names he would call you would consist of baby, sweetheart, sweetie, lovely. He'd love calling you affectionate names but wouldn't overuse them.
Sam is definitely a dominant person in bed. He likes the sense of control he can have in this situation when he loses control of everything else in his life.
He's a soft dom though. Lots of praise and making sure you're okay with everything. He wouldn't wanna push you too far or hurt you. He prefers it to be an intimate moment with mutual pleasure and care.
His favorite positions are anything where he can look into your eyes or see your face. He likes holding you in his lap, facing each other, while you ride him. Just so he can lean in and kiss you when he wants or just press his forehead against yours. A good old missionary is also fine by him! Just being able to hold your hips and see himself thrusting in you, it makes his cock twitch.
I have this image of Sam lazily fingering you. Sam's arms and hands are so attractive (the veins!!). He's got you stretched out on two fingers as he slowly pumps them in and out. He's holding you, back pressed into his chest, and his free arm around your mid-section.
He'll make you cum multiple times, at least two if you're willing. Whether he's got you stretched on his fingers or his cock, he knows exactly what you like.
"Does that feel good?" He coos into your ear, his fingers moving faster inside of you. "Doing such a good job..." He praises into your ear before kissing your temple. "Can you finish for me, sweetheart?"
Aftercare is a must! Sam always does aftercare. Whether that's just praising you and making sure you are okay before you both fall asleep or giving you a nice shower/bath. He always makes sure you're taken care of, even if it was only a one night kind of deal, he wouldn't just up and leave.
Anyhow, I just think Sammy is amazing and he'd be such a good boyfriend <3

Times when Supernatural Non-Villain Recurring Characters Should Have Been Smacked
I know there are a fair few fans who just love the side characters on SPN, and wanted the show to morph into some ensable monstricuty, but I could never understand it. And I really could never understand them acting like side characters are just as important (or more so) than Sam and/or Dean (let’s face it, mostly Sam 🙄). I like plenty of side characters, but some have some seriously crappy moments, so in honor of that … here is my list of characters who deserved a good smack on occasion.
John - when he didn’t come when Sam called him about Dean dying, at the end of "Home" when he didn’t reveal himself to the Boys, for not saying goodbye to Sam in some way in IMToD, and for telling Dean he might have to kill Sam (his flaws are acknowledged by the show, so I don't feel the need to elaborate)
Jo - when she blamed Sam and Dean for their dad's actions, after forcing them to bring her on a hunt in "No Exit"
Ellen - for never hugging Sam
Bobby - for looking at Sam like he’s a freak when he’s suffering hallucinations and treating Sam like trash when he has no memory of hurting Bobby while soulless in "Like a Virgin"
Castiel - calling Sam an abomination, threatening to throw Dean back into hell, acting like Sam knew what would happen if he killed Lilith (and never admitting he’s the one who let adict Sam out of the panic room), beating Dean in "Point of No Return", betraying the brothers in Season 6, breaking Sam's hell wall (he should have been killed for this, tbh), refusing to help stop the leviathan problem that was his fault … until basically forced, abandoning Dean in Purgatiry, beating the crap out of Dean … again in Season 8, for buying Metatron's BS and helping the angels fall, the way he forced Jimmy to let him posses him and essentially destroying the whole family, letting Lucifer out of the cage, blaming Sam when he himself let Lucifer out of the cage, ignoring Sam's texts when he and Dean are having a bitch fight in Season 15, not saying goodbye to Jack or Sam
Charlie - for acting like Sam and Dean are inconveniencing her when they saved her life in her first episode, for making fun of Sam having "zero luck with the ladies" as if this is a funny joke when most of the women he loved/could have loved DIED, thinking hunting isn’t "magical" enough and never taking hunting seriously, talking to Sam Fucking Winchester about hunting as if imparting wisdom and as if her experience could even touch what he’s been through
Cole Turner - for every second that he spends on screen, and using nicknames for the boys when he doesn’t even know them.
Jody - JK, I can’t actually think of anything she did that bothered me. She’s pretty good.
Becky - do I need to explain this one?
Amelia - for being a royal bitch when Sam brings the doggo in to the vet, for almost every interaction she has with Sam and being a jerk, and for commenting on completing Sam's sentences like it’s some cute thing they do when she’s the one who keeps doing it
Claire - for being stupid enough to stomp around in a strop (wearing headphones) while hunting because Sam rightfully called her childish and getting herself bit by a werewolf, for being bitchy to Alex
Jack - for killing Mary, and for waking up Castiel in the empty
Late Seasons Mary - for working with the BMoL after they tortured Sam, for telling Dean he’s not a child in the most condescending way ever, for putting literally everyone before Sam and Dean (especially the apocalypse world tools), for never actually apologizing to Sam's face (and just mentioning it once to Dean when she didn’t know Sam could hear her), for the stupid way she got in Jack's face and got vaporized
Okay, rant over for now.
If anyone read this far, what side characters (who aren’t supposed to be villains) have you wanted to smack and why?

Until Dawn updated headcanons: + Unlife is Strange/Screaming Until Dawn
The following headcanons are included in my AO3 stories; Unlife is Strange and Screaming Until Dawn. Both fics are part of the same “verse”.
Tumblr media
Much of these were written down before the remake allowed us to save Josh. Because of this, Josh becoming the Makkapitew’s new host is canon as far as this “verse” is concerned.
Grab your popcorn. This is whole world building.
1. First things first, this bit was something taught to me growing up about the wendigo. I’m not sure if it’s a widespread belief or a regional/local one — especially since details vary between bands and regions.
Anyways what I was taught was that if you  kill a wendigo without taking the right “precautions” — either burning their heart or cutting up their body and burying them at different locations — their spirit will fixate on you and actively haunt you out of revenge.
Tumblr media
They will always know where you are and everything about you; your name, family, home; your fears and weaknesses; and they will use you against you. And there’s nowhere you can run where it won’t eventually follow. There's nowhere you can hide that they don't already know.
Enter the Makkapitew, an already powerful and vicious wendigo spirit which has possessed two people with grudges against the cast. Because of this, it holds a special grudge. Simply killing them just isn't gonna cut it. It's especially fixated on Sam, for so close to Josh and Hannah, and being the one who set off the explosion that killed it.
Following the events of “They All Live”, the Makkapitew spirit soon followed them from the Blackwood Pines and became a regular supernatural nemesis in their lives; either as a spirit or through Josh’s body. Sometimes the Makkapitew  is a genuine threat or menace, other times it’s a petty annoyance out to ruin their day.
It’s like Eobard Thawne that way.
youtube
In it’s first rampage the Makkapitew tracked them down to their hometown, and slaughtered several of their friends, neighbors and family members. Sam tried to reach out to “Josh”, and got non lethally mauled for her trouble — Sam has a few bite/scratch scars on her stomach, side, calf and thigh that haven’t quite faded.
After this, everyone save for Chris and Ashley came to believe Josh is well and truly gone.
2. Crossover Headcanon: Following the initial massacre, “The Blackwood Seven” are reached out to by the FBC (Control).
They are ultimately put into a witness protection sort of deal, with one of the catches being they’d do “Scout Work”; being civilian eyes and ears on a few ongoing cases. They were assigned to the Arcadia Bay case, soon befriending characters like Max, Chloe, Kate, Victoria and the vampiric Rachel Amber.
Tumblr media
They soon become field agents, but during Screaming (set in October of 2016), Sam is taking a sabbatical to focus on college.  Because of their involvement, the UD cast are recurring/supporting characters in Unlife is Strange; and the LIS characters are recurring/supporting characters in Screaming Until Dawn.
At the time of Screaming, Mike and Matt are taking an overseas assignment  —   something about containing a vampire nest in Iraq that was discovered in 2003, and now starting to leak; while Emily was coming back from working off the coast of Japan, looking into and covering up sightings of a  “sea dragon” near Odo Island.
She brought with her pictures that would make Nessie/Champ enthusiasts  “Mess their pants.”
3. Following the events of “They All Live” Josh is thrown under the bus by law enforcement and the media.
Tumblr media
With the wendigo having been covered up during the investigation, the FBC and RCMP compiled all available evidence, which ultimately points at Josh as being a wannabe cannibal serial killer; going as far as to implicate him as being behind Hannah and Beth’s disappearance, with armchair psycho-analysts painting him as having an incestuous fixation on them.
The nail in the coffin against him was Josh’s teeth marks and DNA found on the cops he slaughtered, and on Sam after her attack; Jack’s severed head, Beth’s severed head; a shrine for his sisters; and the traps he set up throughout the lodge; videos recordings of Ashley and Chris being caught in these traps; and Sam taking her bath. For this Josh was labeled as an inhuman monster by the public, and his parents disappeared from the public. As a result, Bob’s Hollywood career is up in smoke.
His friends could try to speak out for Josh’s favor, but were coerced into going along with the narrative by Director Zachariah Trench; who pointed out to Sam that publicly defending the guy who recorded her bathing, drugged her and physically assaulted her, is not a good look. He gave the same kind of lecture to Chris and Ashley, pointing out how they were the only other two personally victimized by Josh.
As a result, the Blackwood Seven never speak about the case publicly, only talking about it to a select few friends who they trust with the truth.
It’s because of this, most of Josh’s friends write him off as truly being gone after his possession. If there was a way to bring him back, it’s not like he had much of a life waiting for him. As another result, Josh’s case is often publicly compared to that of Mark Jefferson Nathan Prescott, due to the events of LIS occurring not too long before Hannah and Beth disappeared.
The comparisons are usually made by those overly sympathetic to Nathan, and overly demonize Josh. Ironically it’s because of these comparisons, the Blackwood Seven were assigned to the Arcadia Bay investigation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Much of Screaming is gonna deal with the fallout of what happened to the Washingtons.
4. Shipping/sexuality headcanons: I write Jessica, Emily, Mike and Matt as being bisexual, and Sam as a lesbian.
Mike is still coming to terms with his bisexuality, which is ironic because he’s normally supportive of his bi/gay friends. At the time of Screaming, Jess and Emily have been trying to pair Mike and Matt up for a whole now, often pulling strings to get the Bureau to put them on field missions together.
Tumblr media
While Sam isn’t dating dating anyone, as of this post has a regular “Friends With Benefits relationship with Emily and Jessica, though it’s transparent their actual feelings are more than platonic. But following the events of UD,  Sam took up a habit of casual flings and hookups as trauma cope.
She usually keeps it to consenting sapphic friends in her inner circle, with boundaries in place; mainly friends she made from Arcadia Bay. But her heart goes to Jessica and Emily. Sam, Jess and Emily are the main OT3 of Screaming Until Dawn. One of the inciting incidents is that the three are planning a “Girl’s Trip” together.
Tumblr media
5. In this setting, Jack/The Stranger is not related to Jack Fiddler. While I’m not opposed to the Famous Relative/Ancestor trope, knowing the IRL history of Jack Fiddler, it was waaay too touchy. It helps that it’s not something explicitly mentioned in the game, therefore can be overlooked.
Here, Jack is a member of the Dibikad family, a minor but recurring Oji-Cree family I feature in my stories, and the last of the Pâhkwêkan (Night Owls) — a party of vampire/werewolf hunters formed during the Colonial era.
Their backstory goes that there was a vampire that lived in the Great Lakes Region for centuries, historically thought to be a Viking settler. For the most part, he was benign and left the natives alone, but when settlers started colonizing the Americas, they brought with them vampires and werewolves.
Tumblr media
This “Viking settler” began teaching the natives about these creatures and their weaknesses. The Pâhkwêkan was soon formed from these teachings. Unfortunately, the Pâhkwêkan were so effective in dealing with vampires and werewolves among the settlers, that Colonists used their “raids” as an excuse to really crack down on the natives.
By the 1890’s, the Pâhkwêkan were down to one faction in Alberta. By then, a young and overzealous Pâhkwêkan hunter named Maxwell Dibikad led a raid in Blackwood Forest; erroneously coming to believe that wendigo were a type of vampire. As recompense, the Makkapitew slaughtered all but Maxwell, who was left crippled and forced to disband the Pâhkwêkan lest it returns continuously for his family and community.
In the present day, the Dibikads' want nothing to do with the Pâhkwêkan save for Jack, and his niece Vanessa - another recurring character in Unlife, who became handler to the Blackwell Seven.
6. In Screaming Until Dawn, Sam is sort of an alternate counter to Kirby Reed. Their connection is gradually revealed when they experience glimpses of each other’s lives as “dreams.” In 2011, Sam has a dream of being Kirby during Scream 4; and in 2015, Kirby dreams of the events of Until Dawn from Sam’s perspective.
Tumblr media
For much of the story, Sam and Kirby are gonna be seeing/experiencing more of their lives through each other’s eyes; starting when Sam gets calls from a Ghostface repeatedly calling her “Kirby”, and is now targeting her friends; and Kirby repeatedly being followed a presence calling her “Sam”.
I also considered giving also Jessica some ties to Scream characters, but I haven’t made any final decision on that.
Tumblr media
Gif unrelated.
I also had a joke in mind where Mike similarly “dreamt” of being the MCU’s Grant Ward. Somewhere in the multiverse, Ward dreamt of being Mike.
7. Since Bob Washington was a Hollywood director, Screaming Until Dawn includes one of his most popular movies. It’s not plot relevant or anything, but there for world building and a running gag.
In 2002, Bob directed a horror/fantasy swashbuckling movie called Wittebane — based on the Connecticut folk legends of two witch hunting brothers. It’s not the first adaptation of the legend, but it was one of the more popular ones, for its subversiveness and its love story.
The movie put a romantic spin on one of the brothers, Caleb (Ben Affleck) and the witch Evelyn (Winona Ryder); and the brother Phillip (Mark Whalberg) being an outright villain were most adaptations portray him as a tragic failure protagonist at best.
Tumblr media
It was released by Disney and considered one of their riskier movies, like Pirates of the Caribbean or Haunted Mansion, it was one of those movies that are clearly written for a mature audience and given a PG-13 rating. But because it’s Disney, it’s marketed as a family film anyways, and a whole lot of kids bared witness to the eyebrow raising “waterfall scene”.
Said scene caused “childhood lesbian awakening” memes across early 2010’s Tumblr. Wittebane also had an award bait song called “The Piece of You (I Carry With Me)” sung by Michelle Branch. Basically an equivalent to “My Heart Will Go On” or “There You’ll Be”.
Tumblr media
It was especially popular in the brothers hometown of Gravesfield, with there used to be yearly showings every Halloween. But after the events of Until Dawn and the controversy surrounding the Washington’s, it became a really heated debate of separating the art from the artist.
As it happens, when the Blackwood Seven and co were conscripted into the FBC, they learned that Wittebane's original writer was a supposed practicing witch, who disappeared and reappeared from a place called “the demon realm” as a teenager in the 90's.
The FBC seemingly had the writer's memory wiped, and have been trying to access that realm ever since.
8. Pretty big lore drop.
In Unlife is Strange, Mount Washington/Madahee was previously nicknamed as “Chepaiyikumik” (“Grave”), being thought of as a mass grave with a dark history. Much of that history is intentionally covered up and lost to time, to the point it was mostly forgotten about by the Colonial period.
Tumblr media
Dating all the way back to “Fuck if I know BC” — estimated to be the time of giants, titans and the old gods — what would become Blackwood Pines was a hotspot “The Children of Ithaqua”. They were a cult that spanned across what would become North America and Eastern Eurasia, but has mostly reduced to a fractured memory.
In a semi-related fic, Loves Sacrifices — Ithaqua is one of the Greater Scope Villains. The “human” son and mediator to the King in Yellow, Ithaqua taught humanity to follow his example in decadence and vice. There’s also a UD cameo where a character makes contact with Ithaqua’s spirit, and witnesses Jessica’s rant at the cabin from Ithaqua’s perspective.
Ut’s also implied he taught early humanity the concept of colonization. When his father is slain, Ithaqua was bound to another world and cannot directly interact with this one. Through his cults practices, it’s believed many cultural taboos were formed — EG, “Hey, this evil shit is what Ithaqua and his followers practiced. Yeah, let’s NOT follow their example, kay-kay ?”
Ithaqua’s present followers exist by the 2010's, but are hardly the apocalyptic threat they were way back when. They exist under the guise of Christian based institutions, including prosperity gospel/quiverfull preachers and televangelists — obsessed with making money and “breeding prosperity.”
They don't really believe in Ithaqua as an actual entity anymore, and more of a concept to live under. But as of Until Dawn, they are keeping an eye out for the Blackwood Seven.

And they're not the only ones watching...

TMAP 4 Thoughts
Spoilers for Ep 4, obviously.
So that's it? What we're some kinda...Magnus Protocol?
Big thing up top; Tim Fearon's Augustus is fucking excellent. The Lovecraft inspiration was very on the nose in both prose and theme but it was also a really good take on that style. Not surprised this was a guest writer too given that style. Tim Fearon really nails the cadence and intonation needed for this sort of thing and I'd love to see him narrate some actual Lovecraft sometime. The Music of Erich Zann obviously would be a good place to start. Anyone that doesn't think this is Jonah at this stage is just out of their mind.
The incident is also interesting in that it's the most straight TMA Fear we've seen so far. It's just a Slaughter ep through and through really.
Creepy cursed item pedlar feels like a recurring character to me. I expect them to show up again. Which makes for 3 non-OIAR characters we can expect back.
For an additional ARG detail or two; Starkwall is a reference to Starkwall Protection Services that we know from the ARG used to be associated with the OIAR. They announced the discontinuation of this association on Jan 3rd, 2000. Before that they were affiliated with Rightforce International, formerly Diligence Security Systems, if that proves relevant down the line. More interestingly the character Lena was talking to in that very end scene was named Klaus. Klaus provided us (the ARG solvers) with an excel sheet in German that was Freddy style case numbers and DPHW's. He also seemed to have set up the whole thing in-universe too. My pet theory was that Klaus was the German name for Freddy but it's an actual dude and it could be a couple of people from the ARG. Actually, I'm sticking to that theory. Klaus isn't actually called Klaus and assumed the name from kl4-u5, or kl4-u5 is named after Klaus.
DPHW Theory continuation: I honestly don't think much needs to be said. It's a pretty clear fit here. So it's 7494 and you've got music that makes people want to kill themselves and each other, the instrument through which that's achieved requires a blood sacrifice but it needn't be yours, you are however seemingly under its control in more than just the compulsion to play it, and it's got some elements of the uncanny in how it was manifesting. Nothing exciting but more evidence that I'm correct.
CAT#R# Theory: Apart from Sam messing it up and missing out the R again I think this mostly disproves the tria prima idea. I was willing to discount the last ep's case number because of how mistaken it all looked but without more to go on it's really hard to discount this one too. More data, or thought, required to link this all together.
Header Nonsense: Nothing much to say other than that "Collection (blood) -/- musical" is a very strange header in comparison to the others.

Q: What makes this episode so fuckin good?
Well, kind of everything.
As any good narrative should, this episode sets up (even if briefly) a normal, apple pie life, and then disrupts that normalcy in a big way. There’s this sense of dramatic irony as the viewer catches on to the foreboding feeling the show is doling out (flickering lights, the MUSIC, etc) and the characters remain unaware until it’s too late. Then, the best moment of the introductory scene, “Take your brother outside as fast as you can.” I really feel like this sets up the entire premise of the show, a thematic motif if you will, wherein Dean is his brother’s keeper (KIN).
The next segment of the episode sort of repeats the disruption of normalcy, settling the viewer into Sam’s life at school while creating this intrigue by setting him up as the estranged golden child. Then we get Dean’s introduction (which is the best fucking character intro possibly ever), aka the disruption of normalcy. I could talk about this for literally ever, but for now I wanna focus on one thing in particular: the dialogue. The writer's are presented with these complex characters and history and have like one scene to start revealing the important shit that sets up the rest of the episode, and they do that via clever, efficient dialogue between Sam and Dean. Most everything they say to one another either reveals plot or characterization, and does so in a way that feels really natural. My personal favorite thing about the dialogue is how it sets up this recurring theme of the struggle between wanting a normal, 'apple pie' life, and being unable to have it (and each brother's feelings on the subject, which makes me crazy). The dialogue for the rest of the episode is equally good at revealing who each of the brothers are, and how they were raised.
Now I'm gonna fast forward to the end of the episode, not because the rest of the episode isn't great (it's really great), but because the way the episode ends is a big part of what makes it stand out so much to me. Jess's death is the perfect example of a character death being necessary to move the plot forward. The show would not proceed the same way at all without her death happening when it does and the way it does, and the way it brings the episode full circle is just... as a writer I could actually piss my pants thinking about it.
In my opinion, while the middle bits of the episode are really good, its truly the beginning and end that make the episode such a stand out. It's the perfect introduction to the series, laying out enough information to let you know what's going on while still keeping a few cards close to the chest to keep you intrigued. I've already watched the whole series more than once, and every time I come back to this episode it's just really, really fucking good.

Trending 27th - September 2024
If you could pick a side character to become a main one in Season 3, who would it be?
My answer to this question would have to be… Major Threat. Unless I’m mistaken, he happens to be impressionist Piotr Michael’s first voiceover role. I mean, The Good Bad Guy, the episode in which he debuted, is where I first heard of Piotr. It’s also the first time I heard him do an impression of a Jeff Bridges character.
Anyway, I pick Threat (aka Jeff) for a number of reasons. He was established as the reason Lord Hater got into villainy. He, like Hater, had his own army and a right-hand man (plus a rival, voiced by Sam Riegel, whose head is that of a sea creature). Thanks to the influence of Tumbleweed, who’d later be known as Wander in another galaxy, he eventually gave up villainy and turned his life around. Of course, neither Hater, Peepers, nor the Watchdogs would know that until the day he came aboard the Skullship. To sum it all up, Threat himself makes up a pretty good chunk of WOY lore.
I came to understand that Threat would become a recurring character in S3. The question is, what would he be doing as one? As I had him say to Andy in the sixth short of my Eye on the Galaxy idea (The Reformed - taking place in the middle of the entire pre-S3 shorts collection, mind you), “Hater may be the savior of this galaxy, but he’s still got a little ways to go, man. He sure could use a mentor, don’t you think?” This could very well foreshadow his helping Hater develop compassion for others and get used to the slowly but surely growing friendship between him and Wander.
All in all, Major Threat is a character worth learning more about. And you know what? We never got to see an interaction between him and Wander after he reformed! I don’t even think “I don’t know, man, all this heavy stuff is really bumming me out. Hey! Who’s up for pizza?” make good last words (spoken solo). These are just two of many reasons I’m not giving up on saving/finishing WOY. I’d just love to know exactly what was planned for him in S3, wouldn’t you?
In memory of Maggie Smith, an acclaimed British actress whose voice was channeled by Piotr Michael when he performed Ms. Myrtle. (I’m 100% certain S3 had plans for the eternal turtle herself. Fortunately, if the plans ever come to fruition, Piotr could reprise that role as well.)

a list of random supernatural opinions / headcanons / obscure-ish things that i enjoy / thoughts i have
anna is in my top ten characters, i absolutely fucking love her. i want to write a big fic about her but i’m not sure what i could actually do plot wise??? i just adore her i think the concept of her is awesome, the actress is one of the most stunning and ethereal people i have ever seen in my life and her performance is just sooooooo she’s just so. i love her i love her i love her AAAAHHH
anael x ruby is awesome and canon and so much silly meta fun :3 demon/angel yuri forever
on that note, i love megstiel but mostly just in concept (s7 and the crazy cas plotline is ASS). wish we had seen them spend a season (or the whole show…?? mayhaps…??) as a weird unlikely angel/demon hunting duo who were just really off-putting and cryptid-esque despite saving people. meg helps cas fit in better with humans and cas helps meg become a better person. when handled well and treated as more than just sex jokes and “my unicorn” lines, they actually balance each other out so well and could be so good together. also wish we had seen cas interact with meg 1.0!!
jesse turner is the show’s biggest missed opportunity. WILD to me that with TEN WHOLE YEARS of extra runtime they never once thought to bring back the canonically most powerful character in their verse, and insane that they never had him meet jack. i plan on writing a short-ish fic about jack as god happening upon jesse, and being confused that he doesn’t know anything about him despite being omnipotent (because of jesse’s power of hiding himself). they then become best friends!! two antichrists, two half human hybrids, it just makes sense
i wish mooseley (sam x crowley) was the popular ship in the fandom. i know drowley is awesome and they make me foaming at the mouth insane BUT i just personally don’t really see sabriel at all, and i wish that in fics / fandom-wide we had done the “pair the spares” thing with sam and crowley more, as they already had such an interesting dynamic in seasons 8-9
it’s insane that cas didn’t meet jody until s15. i actually refuse to accept that genuinely fuck off. they have been in contact since s8 and get on extremely well.
i also think cas and alex would get on super well!! they have similar shared experiences of living in the monster world and then having to adjust to human life. s9 human cas and alex sitcom anyone??
similarly, jack and claire are siblings who adore each other, idc idc idc they are bffs five-ever
jack uses he/they pronouns because i BLUDDY SAID SO INNIT
i wish lilith had stayed a creepy little girl demon :( she was so cool and then BOOM suddenly she’s seducing sam and being all sexy evil like oh…. oh okay… that’s definitely a shift that’s… a choice….
came to this conclusion recently bc of someone else’s post, ummm cas is literally trans. non-binary true form, took a female vessel in the victorian era, then takes jimmy’s vessel and stays as jimmy for twelve years including in heaven, hell, purgatory and the empty. something something “it’s his body now” something something theme of choice and rebellion. do you see the vision
sometimes i wish that the show had slowly become an ensemble show like buffy and angel, the writers would NAWT have been able to handle that many characters but yk i’m talking about in an ideal world. also with wayward sisters being an official spinoff!!!!!! the way i see it, by the end of the show this gang would have been:
sam, dean, cas, jack, eileen, rowena and ketch. and also mary when she was alive, and jody donna and claire before wayward sisters, with the wayward sisters gang becoming recurring guests after their show begins
earlier seasons (between 5 and 12) it would’ve been sam, dean, cas, crowley, bobby, charlie, meg, jody and anna
sam and dean should’ve had a bodyswap episode, and there should’ve been an episode where cas had to inhabit both dean and sam. yes this is just my favourite trope ever (it’s the transgenderism) but also it just would’ve been so good to see the actors playing each other’s characters UGH
i WISH we had never seen heaven and hell beyond how we see them in the early seasons (aka dean suspended in nightmarish chains and having vague scary visions, and angels and humans moving around people’s personal heavens). the sets they use for heaven and hell are so UGLY in later seasons and make them really lose their scary, eldritch, unknowable vibe
jodydonna is canon they’re lesbian mothers. also hc that krissy joins the wayward sisters gang as does cassie :3 as more of an aunt / family friend figure. miss her so bad
samwena has so much potential it genuinely drives me crazy they were soooooooo yum yum eating them
crowley and benny were both madly in love with dean. i have to change absolutely nothing whatsoever about the canon to come to this conclusion
i have so so so many thoughts about this stupid show, please discuss any of yours in the notes!!!!!

Recently watched: compellingly bizarre 1977 made-for-TV psychodrama The Strange Possession of Mrs Oliver. Tagline: “She wanted to be someone else. But when she became “Sandy”, her new friends wanted her dead.” Wikipedia’s synopsis: “Its plot follows a bored housewife who takes on an alternate persona that starts wreaking havoc on her life. Karen Black plays the title role, a dowdy, downtrodden housewife plagued by recurring nightmares of funerals, black flowers, fires and a woman called Sandy. Seeking an escape from her stifling lifestyle and dull husband, who only wishes her to have a baby, Black dons a low-cut red blouse, blonde wig, garish makeup and a new identity. She is also compelled to buy a house in a beach community where it would appear a woman who looks just like her once resided - before her tragic demise. It turns out that the woman Black pretends to be may actually exist—and may have more than a passing knowledge of the occult.”
Told in a deliberately fragmented, jarring and nightmarish style, Mrs Oliver’s themes of shifting, merging and uncertain female identities recalls Hitchcock’s Vertigo (1958) and anticipates David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive (2001) and Robert Altman’s 3 Women (1977). (I could easily imagine Lynch remaking this with his muse Laura Dern in Black’s roles). No one played “women on the verge of a nervous breakdown” quite like the reliably volatile Black, and the dual roles of Miriam / Sandy showcase her at her most alien and tormented. Sandy is associated with a disco-fied version of Frankie Avalon’s 1960 hit “Venus”. When she dances to it, we get copious cleavage and crotch shots – ah, the seventies! The men in Black’s life are portrayed by George Hamilton (as Miriam’s straightlaced husband) and Robert F Lyons (as a hunky ominous stranger whose mustache makes him look an escapee from a 1970s gay porn film). Watch for guest star appearances from two incredible veteran character actresses: Gloria LeRoy and Lucille Benson. Thanks to Sam Pancake for bringing this curio to my attention via his essential Monday Afternoon Movie podcast. The YouTube print is murky but watchable.

8 Characters who should appear in My Adventures with Superman Season 2
Tumblr media
My Adventures with Superman has quickly become a fan-favorite Superman story, full of a great cast and interesting story elements. While I loved the series, and had fun with every episode, I think the show should incorporate some new characters into the mythos, to expand the story and the wider DC universe.
While there are characters that people love like Batman or villains already teased like Luthor and Brainiac, I am going to focus on characters I think this story has set up nicely, characters who have history with the Man of Steel, and that can bring a much needed different energy to the show.
I have 4 heroes, and 4, let's just say, antagonists, that I think seem like the next logical step for our heroes.
Antagonists
Tumblr media
My biggest criticism of the show was the lack of colorful and impactful villains. While Parasite, Sam Lane, Mxyzptlk, Amanda Waller and Deathstoke all had their moments, there really isn't an iconic villain I can point to from the show.
Adding one or two key overarching villains can make this great show on par with a Spectacular Spider-Man or even Invincible. I have a few ideas for characters the show may have already set up for us. Staring with:
Lucy Lane
Tumblr media
Lucy Lane in the comics is the younger sister of Lois Lane, and while originally she was a stewardess, she has more recently been reimagined both in comics and in the television series Supergirl as a major in the army.
Having Lucy take the place of the disgraced General Lane could put her directly on the path of Superman and Lois. We can even have her live in Metropolis with Lois while she is "in town".
In my reimagining, Lucy could be seen as the good daughter who took up Sam's wishes, while Lois is the failure, leading to good classic tension.
Having Lucy as an antagonist with ties to Lois and (like in the comics) dates Jimmy can lead to some good dramatic moments, and could eventually lead to her being an ally of Superman who vouchers for him to the U.S. Government.
I think adding Lucy is a good way to tone down the Army vs Superman story to be more personal and in the background while we face different threats, while still giving it emotional weight.
But if Lucy Lane is the new General, who is her new enforcer?
Bloodsport
Tumblr media
We have a Suicide Squad who hates Superman, so why not bring in his best enemy from the team.
Reimagined in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad, Bloodsport is most widely known as the assassin who shot Superman with a Kryptonite bullet. Making Bloodsport Lucy Lane's main enforcer could act as Deathstroke with Kryptonite weapons, making him make more sense.
I'd like to keep the fact that he is there against his will, and has daughter, keeping him grounded and relatable. Make him the new leader of the Squad on the field as opposed to Parasite, who was way too maniacal to be lead.
Ideally there would be an episode where Clark is shot out of the sky, and all his friends and family are worried whether or not he will survive.
Lobo
Tumblr media
If we want to introduce an Iconic Superman villain, none is better than Lobo.
While Brainiac and Zod are plenty powerful and could stand a chance against the Man of Steel, sending in an assassin to do their work for them makes their lives easier.
I know he's not the best set up, but Lobo is one of those characters who can show up whenever as long as someone wants you dead. Having Clark face an invader as soon as he thinks the invasion is over would be a hell of a way to kick off season 2.
Lobo is also a character who does whatever for a check, and doesn't necessarily have to be an enemy. There can be an episode where Clark needs back up, so all other heroes team up, and Lobo is there because Jimmy paid him off.
He'd be great recurring as an ally or villain, and bring a much needed livelihood to the villains we have.
Injustice Superman
Tumblr media
No villain has been teased more in My Adventures with Superman than Superman himself.
I'm not the biggest fan of the Injustice story, but it's been utilized well here to demonstrate how terrifying a Kryptonian can and should be.
I want to put a close on this chapter of most people fearing Superman and Clark worried about who he could become. I'm hoping by the end of Season 2 after the team defeats Evil Superman, coming to take Lois or destroy the world, we can go on to bigger villains.
I think a version of evil Superman should be utilized in the 2nd Season, and could even be the final battle in an Invincible Season 1 style. Perhaps after Clark has been knocked out by the Kryptonite Bullet, Injustice Superman makes his way here, and Bloodsport, both General Lanes, The Suicide Squad, and some of the heroes I'll bring up next will take on Injustice Superman with little luck until Clark shows up.
I do think bringing in Injustice Superman could give us teases at heroes to come like, "I destroyed the Bat, the kid, the time traveler, anyone who didn't listen." If we want to have a lot of fun with it, we can make him much older and voiced by Dennis Quaid.
Heroes
Tumblr media
I think My Adventures with Superman could absolutely benefit from some heroes joining the fold, some longterm and some just for a bit.
Don't get me wrong, this is still a Superman show and I want to keep it that way. But Superman inspires others to step up, and I want to show that. Each hero has a history with Clark, and brings something important to the table. Starting with the ask I want most:
Krypto
Tumblr media
It's time to expand the Super family.
Krypto is Superman's super canine from the planet of Krypton who has all of Superman's abilities.
Adding Krypto to Superman's team means some good animal hijinks, and adding a character who can protect Jimmy and Lois when Superman can't.
We can also do fun one off episodes like a day in the life of Krypto, where he throws a post office into space or frees some dogs from the pound.
How we get him into the story is kind of tough, but perhaps he is in another pod that redirected to earth when it saw another Kryptonian was there, or Clark heres stories of another Kryptonian out in the galaxy , and it's this dog.
Either way, Krypto would be a more fun member of the crew.
Steel
Tumblr media
John Henry Irons is an inventor and engineer who styles his look and abilities after the Man of Steel. Usually seen as an ally to Superman, Steel also appears famously as one of the four people taking up the identity of Superman once Clark dies fighting Doomsday.
Steel recently has appeared in Superman and Lois, as an other worldly traveler originally thought to be a version of Lex Luthor.
My version of Irons would also be young hero, not exactly at the level he is in the comics, trying to emulate Superman with mechanics but not quite there yet. I'd like him to be a sidekick Superman calls on at times, a recurring character until he is fully brought into the group as the tech support and their 2nd heavy hitter.
Irons should represent that Clark can't really change that he is inspiring people, and should be a sign for more heroes to come.
Brainiac-5
Tumblr media
Unlike the other heroes on this list, Brainiac-5 should serve two purposes and should not be an series regular.
Brainiac-5 is a hero from the Legion of Superheroes, a team from 31st century inspired by Superman. He should be an untrusted ally to begin, as he is a descendent of Brainiac, but come with warning of his ancestors plans and how to defeat him.
Brainiac-5 also would be the anti League of Lois Lanes. We see too often in this show what Superman can become on the negative end. We should also see what he can bring about on the positive end as well.
At first untrusted, Brainiac-5 will convince Clark he is on the right path, and can inspire many many heroes from generations to come.
While the character should return throughout the show, for a second season he should appear in one or two episodes, and return for major arcs if he is needed.
And finally, the biggest ask:
The Flash
Tumblr media
The Flash and Superman speed rivalry is one of the most fun in comics. There is something about seeing Speedsters and Kryptonians on screen together that always makes for good television.
The Flash was one of the first heroes on Smallville, was the first hero to crossover with Supergirl in the Arrowverse, raced Superman in the Animated Series, and even did a post credit tease in the Whedon cut of Justice League.
Bringing in a major Leaguer in Season 2 could up the stakes for what is to come. Given Flash and Supermans racing history, we can have a fun episode on our hand that builds out this universe, and could even be a backdoor pilot to a Flash show.
We could do the classic charity run, or maybe Gorilla Grodd plans to take over Metropolis, either way, a fun one off episode centered around these two icons could be the warm-up to Justice League we need.
I'm sure some of these characters will come in sooner or later, but bringing on any of them can make for a fun Season 2 that ups the stakes and could lead into something greater.
But time will tell if I’m right.

What are your top 5 new opinions from your current suits rewatch?
oh god i don't know if i have any NEW OPINIONS but things that morph slowly over time. lettuce discuss what's at the top of my mind!
read more cut for everyones own good
SHIPPING THOUGHTS: i love mike/rachel waaaay more on rewatch, i find myself dissatisfied with the relationship arc trajectory that donna/harvey takes in a way that didn't hit me watching the first time (i wish they'd happened way sooner OR put way more effort into the buildup to them finally getting together in s8. s7 rly took the wind out of my sails with that kiss that they both said MEH at. after that i needed waaaaay more work in s8 for them to just throw themselves at each other), i looove harvey/mike the exact same amount, louis/sheila is the epitome of a SOMEBODY GONNA MATCH MY FREAK ship, i love jeff/jessica a lot but i really really wish that they'd fallen for each other onscreen after she hired him, harvey/scotty makes me SAD bc i love scotty and she deserves someone just as invested in her as she is in them and even tho i love their competitive vibe sfm harvey never puts the energy in that i want him to, paula is vile and should not be allowed to date anybody ever, donna/sam should have been a ship, sam should have been a lesbian or at least canonically queer, katrina is a queer ace enby to ME AND MY SOUL. harvey and jessica should have been a thing. alex and harvey should have been exes. i was veeeeery into the mess that was logan/rachel to the point where i'm like....... in another life..... in fic.......... rachel should have gone that route i'm SORRY. i don't think mike/trevor ever happened but if trevor had opened that door mike would have gone thru it, EVEN THO TREVOR SUCKS. louis/tara was the biggest waste of screentime and one of the worst parts of s6 bc it was so boring and perplexing?? like. why. donna/thomas was an immediately good vibrant ship and i wish they hadn't dropped it so abruptly. or at all tbh!!!!!! i was very into them! at the very least i'd have liked it to go for all of s8 instead of just the very end. i'm good with all canon endgame ships, i'm very happy with how the series ends. i love my ot4 besties. but this is my truth lol
i like sam so much more on rewatch! i went back and forth on how i felt about her the first time around- she IS a very polarizing person. but she's a messy bitch and i appreciate her. i think they flop on a lot of her plots (whyd we get a road trip to meet birth dad but not actually see her meet birth dad. why did we spend so much time on the absolute ickiest ex boyfriend. why was i supposed to think it was cool she did an illegal thing to win the case against mikes client trying to cut ties with a sweatshop. why was it everyone elses problem to save her job for that)
why wasn't robert a series regular in season 8..... he was there the whole goddamn time. also gretchen should have been a series regular starting in season 5, but ESPECIALLY in s8/9. she was there the whooooole time. i also think its incredibly annoying that robert got disbarred because of donna shenanigans. like. both jessica and robert, the only two black name partners, got disbarred to save the jobs of white ppl who fucked up. it's a bad fucking look. but it makes even less sense for robert. at least i get why jessica would want to save harvey. robert has noooooooooo allegiance to harvey or donna. and they twisted it into being robert saving sam somehow? idk that was such a bad choice imo it really sticks out.
in general my biggest gripe from s8/9 is not mike and rachels absence (tho i dearly miss them, and ofc i still miss jessica!), it's that the entire cast is upper management. everyone is a name or senior partner or the coo or managing partner. and the recurring characters are like..... 2 associates and gretchen being everybodys secretary. it's absurd to have everyone be a name partner immediately (and a copout to give it to both alex and sam at the same time just to quit their whining) and it makes the firm feel so small. nobody even has a secretary who's not gretchen anymore. it just feels divorced from reality in a very specific way that the first 7 seasons weren't bc we're locked in battle for the tippy top, with almost nobody at the bottom or middle. (i also think donna should have become coo in season 5/6. everyone jumped ship when mike got arrested and went to prison. they were like...... a 5 man office. that would have been the peeeeeeerfect time for donna to rise the ranks organically. as is i don't love how her becoming coo works plotwise)
i think on rewatch it's easier to see how much mike and rachel are meant for something else career-wise. like obviously they're both amazing at corporate law but their hearts just aren't in it. they badly want to fight for the little guy but there aren't little guys to fight for when everyones arguing over millions of dollars. their choice to leave the way they did was very abrupt, and i still think they could have put way more work into the season 7 finale (not splitting it between new york and chicago would have been lol A GREAT START, and this is coming from a massive jessica stan who otherwise would have been thrilled to see a jessica-heavy episode with flashbacks). we saw mike struggling for a long time with his priorities, and he couldn't devote his whole career to corporate law purely to make harvey happy. i think canon landed on the right endgame anyway. harvey hit the pinnacle of his career, everything he ever worked for, realized he didn't actually want to be managing partner, and said alright now i'm gonna follow mike and rachel to their passion project, so we can work together again. PERFECT ENDING. tho now i'm like......... suits la better be really goddamn careful with what they say about harvey and his life postseries...... BLEH HANGING OVERHEAD

Stargate rewatch: 1x21 Within the Serpent's Grasp
Tumblr media
We’re back in tarp city, quite a circle back to the pilot.
Daniel sans glasses once again, urging the team to go through the gate to the address he got in the AU. Jack still doesn’t believe him and Sam is concerned about a court martial, but Teal’c is immediately on board.
“In the other reality by the time I left Sara was dead, Carter your whole family was dead, hell I was dead, everyone was dead.” Interesting that Daniel specifically mentions Sara here, I wonder if the Jack/Sara relationship was something they were considering revisiting at some point.
Tumblr media
The first use (I think) of the black BDUs by the team.
Is Daniel wearing contacts? At least in the earlier scene he had his glasses hooked on his shirt. I realise I’m harping on this but there doesn’t seem to be any continuity to Daniel’s vision.
Story by James Crocker (his only Stargate credit), teleplay by Jonathan Glassner, directed by David Warry-Smith.
Our first use of the Zat’nik’tel - unpopular opinion maybe but I love the Zats, they become somewhat of a crutch as an all purpose stun gun rather than the “extreme pain” they’re introduced as inflicting, but that’s how it goes.
Jack, Daniel, and Sam being floored by the ship accelerating but not Teal’c is a nice touch.
Tumblr media
It’s Ferretti! Confirmation that he took over from Kawalsky leading SG-2. I always liked Ferretti, it’s a shame he wasn’t more of a supporting/recurring character in the show. In fact I don’t think we see him again after this episode? He’s off to get into prosthetics on Andromeda.
Some continuity issues with what Teal’c knows about the Ha’tak vessels in this episode compared to later on - his knowledge/experience really is dictated by the episode requirements.
The Jaffa turn on the big ol’ silver ball of communication and Apophis dials in to introduce his son Klorel. It’s a bit of a retcon from the pilot but I discuss my headcanon explanation in that episode writeup.
Tumblr media
Daniel shifting into rage mode at seeing Apophis.
Also lol at everyone in their beanies but Jack. RDA really said nope, caps only for O’Neill, no exceptions.
The discussion the team has about whether to try and capture Klorel/rescue Skarra is actually a nice mirror of the one they have in The Nox - Jack and Daniel, being emotionally invested, are keen to do it despite the risk and are quick with justifications (Jack - it would be a strategic advantage, Daniel - they could try and reach Skaara), Teal’c supports them with his own tactical logic, while Sam appropriately questions the plan and makes sure there’s a contingency.
It’s part of why they make such a good team - each of them bring a different skillset and pov to each situation, and they have the respect for each other to talk it through.
Tumblr media
Sam and Daniel plant the C4, and apparently Daniel’s glasses were clipped to his shirt after all, because he takes them out and puts them in a vest pocket for some reason.
For Daniel's snark about "uploading a virus to the mothership" the previous episode, it's kind of lol that their solution ends up being just blowing up the mothership - uploading a virus in the form of explosives.
Jack and Teal’c actually nab Klorel pretty easily in the end - it’s holding onto him that’s the problem.
“He is my father. He seeded the queen mother. He chose the host in which I will live out eternity. Apophis gave me life.” I suppose we’re meant to assume Amaunet is the queen in question but I really wish they’d done more with the familial relationships - both of the Goa’uld and human sides.
Alexis Cruz gives a great performance as Klorel, really pushing Jack’s buttons.
Tumblr media
After Jack shoots him with the Zat, Skaara calls for both Sha’re and Daniel 🥺
Skaara is able to maintain a degree of influence over Klorel even when he regains control - afteraffects of the zat, Skaara’s strength, or because Klorel is a young Goa’uld not yet experienced in controlling a host? Perhaps all three.
Klorel gets Daniel in the hold of the ribbon device (but of course!), and Jack has to make the agonising decision to shoot Skaara to save Daniel’s life.
I mean, if I had a nickel every time a member of SG-1 has to shoot one of Daniel’s family to stop the Goa’uld that possesses them from killing him with the ribbon device…
Maybe it’s not that weird it happened twice, since Jonathan Glassner also wrote Forever in a Day.
Tumblr media
“O’Neill, you must take action!” Why doesn’t Teal’c take action? Someone run over there and tackle Klorel instead of standing around watching Daniel’s brain get fried!
But of course it has to be Jack - Jack who brushed by Daniel in the pilot to greet Skaara, but has grown closer to Daniel since he joined SG-1; they started out only united by a common goal (find Sha’re and Skaara) but have started to develop a real bond. It’s the emotional climax not only of the episode, but the whole season in forcing Jack to chose between the lives of his surrogate son and his comrade and friend.
Added to this is the trauma of Jack being forced to stop Skaara with a gun - Charlie died in part due to Jack’s negligence around his gun, but Jack actively had to shoot Skaara here and that’s heartbreaking.
Tumblr media
A nice mirror to the end of the last episode, with our team staring down at the Stargate framed by the control room of the SGC, and now they're staring down at Earth framed by the Pel'Tak.

Batfam's favorite recurring Discworld characters based on : My Brain
Bruce : Granny Weatherwax. For her well polished ability to see past the appearances and her extensive use of headology.
Dick : Sam Vimes. A cynical but uncorrupt cop who manage over the volumes to raise up the city watch from a bunch of corrupted misfits to the peace gardian they're supposed to be.
Barbara : Moist von Lipwig. Well, that's quite a predicament you're finding yourself again, what are you going to do ? Okay, that works, you fixed the city's infrastructure by trying to save your petty conman's skin!
Jason : Granny Weatherwax. Because she takes shit from no-one and pulled a uno reverse card on people who tried to mess with her head. She's a badass.
Tim : Vetinari. The mastermind.
Steph : The Librarian. Life-goal.
Cass : Lu-Tze. He fascinate her. She's always very exited and passionate when he makes a cameo.
Damian : Carrot Ironfoundersson. If he and Jon had a son... well he probably would'nt be like that at all, but Carrot looks like a weird combination of them both and Damian loves him.
Duke : Angua von Überwald. The Sane One(tm) of the watch, and he empathise as a meta.
Alfred : Sam Vimes. He went from solitary desillusioned drunkyard to a sacastic but proud father with great accomplishments without compromising who he was, not quite content, but that sort of man can't stand having no better to do than relax. Alfred is very proud and very happy for the lad.
Bonus :
Danny : Igor. All of them.

thoughts after my first gone reread in years
as someone now in my twenties i’ve decided to revisit the series that changed my brain chemistry as a nine year old and will be doing book-by-book thoughts. i think the first book is pretty surface level so these are more just opinions than deep observations. let’s begin :)
firstly obvious one but fourteen is… sooo young. like these are babies.
when i was a kid i didn’t like astrid, i think i had this weird aversion to her being religious and optimistic and trying to make logic from everything. but it was so easy for me to empathise with her this time around. that’s really just her way of making sense of a crazy situation
mary is such a tragic and wonderful character. she doesn’t know how to truly take care of herself so she takes care of everyone else. my heart always breaks for her
the dialogue is so cringey in the first book and it’s funny because you can absolutely tell this was written for middle schoolers. whereas the later books… definitely pivot away from that demographic
i love diana i just love love love her. she’s also tragic by circumstance, allying herself with bad people to survive because she never believes she can be good enough to deserve community with good people. she deserved so much better
it’s kind of funny in retrospect that caine & co couldn’t even pretend to be good guys for a full week
why was howard kind of in love with orc a bit
the nicknames in this series are so funny, wdym there are people unironically calling themselves panda, mallet, orc, bug, computer jack,
i don’t really get what the entity was that was trying to tempt them to leave the FAYZ. i assume it’s mean to be the darkness, but wouldn’t the darkness want them to stay?
it’s such a cool easter egg i’ve never noticed before that lana’s recurring childhood nightmare is the darkness. it’s been with her all her life, they were bound to cross paths
on that note, lana is also the best. i love complicated teenage girls. she’s so cool
still every time i reread i find myself wishing someone had just offed drake at the earliest possible opportunity
dekka’s powers are so awesome. i know she hardly materializes in this book but she later becomes my favorite so i just have to mention her
astrid and sam really are very sweet (at least in this book) i’m sorry that my dislike for astrid as a kid stopped me from seeing that before
it’s enjoyable to me that in the sad circumstances of diana feeling completely tied to caine she can still embarrass him just by being so much cooler than he is, good for her
thoughts on hunger will follow soon :)

<<Part 6
🍿🎞️🍿
Present Day
I put the Army report from 1945 down and looked with compassion at Bucky.   He was looking at his hands, clasping and unclasping them, displaying some anxiety.
"This is Steve's actual report?" I asked.  "When he thought you were dead?"
"Yeah," he replied quietly.  "My lawyer got copies of everything made from the Army archives when I had to face charges for being the Winter Soldier."
"He was devastated when he thought you died," I noted.  "Do you think that's partly why he took so many chances, trying to make up for not saving you?"
Bucky shrugged.  "Who knows?  I do know that when he recognized me in 2014, he felt tremendous guilt for not going back and looking for me in 1945.  Steve told me a lot that wasn't written down in the official reports before he went back."
"He didn't even stay to make sure you were going to be pardoned?"
That must have come across as opinionated because Bucky frowned.
"He had his reasons to leave."
Bucky's tone was defensive, and I could see his jaw was set in a way that indicated he was displeased.  Even though we'd only known each other for a few weeks I was already attuned to his moods.  His face softened and he took my hand in his.
"June don't mind me," he said softly.  "I know I get defensive about Steve leaving.  He never felt comfortable in this future.  He did ask me to go back but I had changed so much I just didn't think I could handle the 1940s anymore."
"But you could have been with your parents and your sister," I answered.  "Instead he left you here alone.  When he did go back, why didn't he try to find you and rescue you then?"
I touched his face with my palm then withdrew it when he smiled shyly at me.  In the few weeks since we met we had kissed after dates but really hadn't gone any further.  Not that we didn't want to but Bucky wanted to take our time until we became intimate.
"I actually did see them, my mother and sister anyway," he said, then took the report from my hands, cleared the pictures from the table, and filed them all back in the box.  "But those stories are for another day.  As for the other, maybe he did but just wasn't successful."
He picked the box up and put it in his storage room then returned to the couch and sat next to me, turning to his side so he could touch the ends of my hair.  Despite his reticence to get physical with me he had no qualms about the little touches, like playing with my hair, putting his arms around me, or holding hands.  It was sweet and quite a change from the presumptuous octopus moves of some previous dates.
"Tell me about this party," he said, all of his attention on me.
"Well, it's our staff Christmas party," I said.  "It's at a burlesque cabaret with a 1930s-1940s theme.  We get to see the show, then they have a private party room we can use.  Music will be jazzy 1930s-1950s and they want us in period costume."
A grin crossed his face.  "Burlesque in my day wasn't exactly where a guy took a girl on a date, at least not a decent girl."
"Oh, and you know that how?" I asked, tickling his side a little.
"I went a few times, mostly when I was going through a dry spell."  His face blushed as he spoke.  "How does current burlesque match up with old burlesque?  It could be pretty racy back in the day."
"I don't know," I replied.  "I've never been but one of our reference librarians works part time as a dancer at the cabaret.  She said it's a little risqué and a lot of fun."
"Wait, librarians can work in burlesque?" He shook his head in amazement.  "In my day they were usually old spinsters, although I guess they were young once."
"Hey, I'm a librarian, and technically a spinster," I declared.  "I even have a tattoo."
"Really?" He started looking at my exposed skin with a cheeky grin.  "Where?"
Now it was my turn to blush.  "Inside my left hip, if you must know.  I got it on my 21st birthday, a rose, the flower for June."
His smile was something else and I knew he was likely picturing it in his mind.  It had been an impulse at the time, something my best friend talked me into.  It also hurt so much I never got another.
"Sounds like it might be a fun time," he said.  "Do your friends know who you're dating?"
"One or two," I answered.  "We're thinking of having a movie night soon if you want to meet more of my friends.  I'd like you to meet them."
"Can I think about it?  The party that is.  Movie night sounds alright.  How about tomorrow night for that?"
I kissed him on the cheek, making him smile softly again.  He was pretty accommodating.  Thinking back to our first date he called an Uber to pick us up, then held the door open and offered me his hand as I entered the vehicle.  He was just as solicitous when we arrived at the restaurant, a seafood place.  Sam must have recommended it as the manager asked Bucky how Sam was doing since they hadn't seen him for some time.  The manager looked with interest at me.
"Who do we have the pleasure of serving tonight?" he asked.
"This is my date June," replied Bucky.  "June, this is André, the manager here.  Sam and I have been here for lunch but this is the first time I've been here for dinner with a date."
André offered me his hand and shook it.  "We'll take good care of you both."
He gave us a few recommendations for food and the wine to go with our choices then made sure we were served promptly.  After that he kept a buffer of empty tables around us until it became busy enough for him to start seating people nearby.  Bucky didn't say much that first date, letting me babble on about books, movies, music, my family and friends.  I realized I was dominating the conversation and stopped.  He just looked at me with this sweet expression on his face.
"I'm sorry, I was talking too much," I said.  "I do that when I'm nervous."
"I don't think you were talking too much, June," he replied.  "I like listening to you.  You're a unique woman, with a lot of interests."
"Well, it should be more back and forth," I countered.  "What about you?  What do you like?"
He took a breath.  "Well, I like eating, and dancing," he began.  "Not the dancing they do now but close dancing, like they did in the 1940s.  Alcohol doesn't affect me any more because of my metabolism but I do like the taste.  There are some TV shows I don't mind but a lot of it doesn't make sense to me.  Like why would people want to watch other people living in a house and plotting against each other?  I don't get that.  Some things should be private, you know?  Movies, well, some of them I like and some of them I don't."
I couldn't disagree with him on his assessment of some TV shows as I knew what he meant.  As for movies, I liked pretty much everything except bloody horror but there were some movies that were an acquired taste.  After dinner we went to a lounge that played jazz and old standards.  Bucky took me onto the dance floor where I could see first hand why he liked dancing.  He was very good and I wondered if he had a lot of girlfriends back in the day.  At one point he lowered his face so that his mouth was next to my ear.
"What are you thinking about?" he asked.
I looked up at him.  Even though I was 5'9'' he was over 6 feet tall by my estimation and it was kind of nice to look up at a man whose arms were around me, especially a handsome one.  His blue eyes gazed into mine and for a moment I wasn't sure I could speak.  But his eyes were calm and he seemed genuinely interested in my thoughts.
"Just wondering if your good dancing skills indicated you were popular with the ladies back in the 1940s," I replied.
He blushed a little as he smiled, slightly embarrassed, I think.
"I had quite a few girlfriends," he admitted.  "Nothing serious.  I was more into having a good time."
"How good a time?" Now I was deliberately being cheeky.
Bucky laughed outright then looked at me.  "You really want me to say it?  I think the term now is player but in the 1940s I would have been referred to as doll dizzy.  Not that I was a bad guy.  I never forced a girl into going to bed with me.  I had a lot of dates that never went that far, sometimes with the same woman if I enjoyed her company."
I wanted to ask where I fit in, but I held my tongue, and we danced without talking for some time.  After one last drink we decided to call it a night and we took an Uber back to the apartment building.  We stood outside my apartment door for a moment before Bucky gently put his hands around my waist and bent down to kiss me.  It was lovely, and sweet, and I almost asked him in, but he spoke first.
"When I was young I would probably talk myself into your apartment at this point but I'm not that guy anymore," he said quietly.  "I'm looking for something special so I would like to take our time getting to know each other better before we take it to another level."
It was unexpected and not entirely unwelcome.  That he was being a gentleman was obvious and he continued to be a gentleman since that night.  Now, as we sat on the couch watching TV, I must have been too quiet while I reflected on our first date as he stroked my hand to get my attention.
"You were somewhere else," said Bucky.  "We don't have to watch TV if it bores you."
"It's not that," I replied.  "I was just thinking that we've been dating for a few weeks and haven't ... you know.  My friends aren't going to believe that we're not yet physical."
"Do you tell them such things?" he asked.
"Well, not details," I replied.  "But it's been a while for me, a couple of years.  How long has it been for you?"
He blushed (God, I loved that) then sighed.  "I had a date that wanted to go straight to sex before we even finished dinner at her place last year.  She wanted me to do things to her that frankly kind of shocked me.  I'm no prude but it was a bit much even for me and I left without even kissing her goodnight.  Before then was in 2017 when I was in Wakanda.  Before then I don't really want to talk about because it happened while I was the Winter Soldier."
"I'm sorry, I didn't want to bring up bad memories," I said, feeling terrible for him.
There was an uncomfortable silence between us and Bucky gently turned my face towards him.
"I was often abused and forced to abuse others," he said softly.  "Even the few that weren't abused by the Winter Soldier affected me.  It's something that I still see a therapist about and it's also partly why I want to wait to be with you.  I don't want to hurt you because I care about you and hope we do have something special."
"Oh, Bucky." I was mortified.  "Please forgive me."
"It's alright, really.  You should know about them anyways.  It doesn't mean I don't want you because I do, very much.  You're so beautiful and it takes a lot not to get carried away when we're close."
"Really?" I hadn't expected to hear that, having been told before that I wasn't all that desirable and should feel lucky that someone wanted to even go out with me, never mind taking it further.
"June, sweetheart, you're it for me," he said in a low, very sexy voice.
He threaded his flesh hand into my hair and kissed me in a way that I had never experienced before.  It was electric as his soft lips and tongue teased me to where I felt the heat of desire beginning deep inside me.  We both broke away at the same time and he looked at me with those blue eyes then kissed my forehead.
"I better go home," I whispered.  "That was some kiss."
"My thoughts exactly," he said back.  "Let me know about movie night."
He didn't get up from the couch; instead he watched me as I went to his door.  I realized he was likely aroused and smiled to myself that I had that effect on him.  When I went into my apartment I went to the bathroom and could hear his shower turn on as our bathrooms shared a common wall.  Closing the door behind me I went to turn the TV on then I texted my friends about having movie night at my place the following night.  Four of my friends agreed to come over, two of them wanted to bring their boyfriends.  We would decide what to watch once everyone was over.
I worked the following day and headed to the grocery story after to pick up snacks for everyone.  I knew that my friend Ingrid liked Chicago mix popcorn, Sherry liked buttery movie style microwave popcorn, Danielle liked Cheetos, and Irene liked regular potato chips and onion dip.  For myself I grabbed a medium cheese and meat platter, figuring Bucky would like that, then some crackers, beer, soda, and coolers.  If we wanted to eat between movies we would order in pizza, Chinese food, or Thai food.  While I was there I received a text from Bucky.
Bucky: Sam wants to come.  Is that alright?
June: What snack food does he like?
He didn't answer for a bit so I gathered he was asking Sam.
Bucky: Said he'll bring his own.  Looking forward to meeting your friends.
June: Me too ❤️
I texted him when I parked in my spot and he came out of the security door to help me carry the snacks and drinks back in.  He looked at the different snack foods as he unpacked the bags, happy with the meat and cheese platter.  Sam texted to say he was at the door and Bucky buzzed him in, telling him to come to my apartment.  When he arrived at the door he was bearing a sizeable pot containing fresh shrimp that had been caught that day, and all the ingredients for a shrimp boil.
"You didn't have to do this, Sam," I said to him as he pulled everything out.
"It's my pleasure," he said.  "I've been cooking since I was a kid.  Wanted your friends to be impressed with your new friends, especially me.  This won't take long to prepare and we can sit around the table and eat with our hands between movies.  Best way to get to know each other."
"Sam does know what he's doing," affirmed Bucky.  "We'll have to open a window as it will get fragrant in here."
My first two friends arrived, Irene and Sherry, with their dates following them in.  The two men became very excited when I introduced them to Bucky and Sam, displaying some serious fanboy vibes.
"Ted, Irene, Ben and Sherry, this is Bucky Barnes, and Sam Wilson.  Bucky and I are dating."
"Holy shit, June, how did you meet these guys?" asked Ted, stepping forward first to shake hands with Bucky then Sam.
"We're neighbours," said Bucky, in his low key way.
Sam enlisted their help to prepare the shrimp, showing how to devein and peel them, except for the tails.  By the time my other two friends arrived he had all the prep work done and grabbed himself a beer.
"Ingrid, Danielle, this is Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson," I said.  "Bucky is my boyfriend."
He beamed when I said that.  Danielle was almost dumbstruck.  "You know Captain America and Bucky Barnes?  Why am I just finding this out now?"
"Maybe because you've been out of town for work for a couple of weeks," said Ingrid.  "Bucky, pleased to meet you.  Sam, you look much better in person than you do on TV."
"Well, thank you," he replied.  "Which one of you is the burlesque dancer?"
All five women broke out in laughter and Ingrid put her hand up.  "That would be me and you've probably heard about the staff party.  You want to come as my date?"
"You have to come, both of you," said Ben to Sam and Bucky.  "It's risqué but fun.  Much more entertaining than a pole dancer at a stripper bar, not that I go to those since I started dating Sherry.  They even get the drag queens involved sometimes and they are so entertaining."
Bucky leaned towards me and whispered in my ear.  "Do you really want me to come?"
I nodded, then put my arm around his waist, feeling nothing but muscle.  "I kind of want to show you off."
"We'll go then," he said, kissing me on the side of the head.
The others decided to start movie night with Casablanca, thinking it would be something Bucky would like to see.  He shrugged, saying he did see it during the war, and it was okay.  That set off a discussion of all the different phrases that came from the movie, then how iconic it was as a cinema masterpiece.  We started watching it because it was obvious some people were passionate about it.  I sat on the floor below Bucky as he sat in the armchair as there wasn't enough room for everyone on the couch.  He offered to switch places, but I didn't want to impose.  So, being a man of action, he leaned down and whispered an alternative.  I looked at him and he raised his eyebrows as if it were the best solution.  Offering me a hand I got up and sat on his lap shifting until he nodded and put his arm around me.
"I'm not too heavy?" I asked, still mindful that I was a bigger woman.
"Perfect," he whispered into my ear.
To be honest, it was great being so close with his arm around me.  In a way he was showing my friends how he felt about me.  During the more romantic parts of the movie, I leaned my head against him, and he shifted again so that I was more comfortable.  Sam got up with about 30 minutes left in the movie and filled up the big pot with water, putting it on the stove to start boiling.  He also put the potatoes on to boil.  Then he came back to watch the end of the movie.  By then the water in the big pot was boiling and he put the corn in.  He followed that by the sausages then the shrimp.  As Sam watched the colour of the shrimp Bucky organized everyone to lay newspaper down on the tabletop then plates.  Sam kept a little bit of the broth that the shrimp was cooking in then poured off the rest and assembled the food on two baking sheets, drizzling the food with the broth, melted butter, lemon, and seasoning.  Finally, he brought out a full roll of paper towels, tearing off several sheets for each person.
"This is all meant to be eaten with your hands," he said, with a big smile.  "It's going to be messy but great.  Dig in."
For the next ten minutes there was only the sound of chewing, groans and moans of satisfaction.  It was amazing.  Ingrid finished eating a shrimp, wiped her hands and mouth on a paper towel, took a drink of her beer and looked at Sam.
"Do you have a girlfriend or a wife?" she asked point blank.  Sam shook his head.  "Want one?  That was so fucking good, Sam.  My God, I've lived in New Orleans for 4 years and I've never, ever had this before."
"You haven't been hanging out with the right people," he said.  "If you lived near Delacroix we'd have this every other week, at least.  You want to go out sometime?"
"Hell yes," said Ingrid.  "Where have you been all my life?"
Bucky smiled at Sam, who smiled back, looking smug.  We ate every single morsel of food on those two large cookie sheets.  Cleanup was easy, as the plates went into the dishwasher, the cookie sheets and two pots were washed in the sink and the newspaper was bundled up, put into a garbage bag and taken out to the trash chute.  After wiping down the table and counters everyone was ready for movie number two.  The others were going over the list on the TV, coming up with a shortlist of choices.
"Okay, we have When Harry Met Sally," said Ingrid, "or Crazy, Stupid, Love, or Crazy, Rich Asians, or Princess Bride, or Ocean's Eleven."
"I don't want to watch anything with crazy in the title," said Ted, who was seconded by Ben.
"When Harry Met Sally is so 1980s," said Danielle, shrugging.
We took a vote and with Bucky as the last voter it was tied 4-4 for the remaining two choices.  I looked at him.
"I have no idea what each movie is even about," he said.
"Well, Princess Bride is a tongue-in-cheek fairy tale," I explained, "Ocean's Eleven is a heist movie set in Las Vegas.  They're both good but you might enjoy the heist movie more."
"Because I'm a guy?" he asked with a slight grin on his face.  "Just for that I choose the fairy tale."
He sat down on the arm chair, patted his lap and I settled down on it again.  We watched the movie and he seemed to enjoy it but I think he was more amused at all of us who said the lines in tandem with the characters throughout it.  When it was over nearly everyone got up to stretch their legs while a few went out to the balcony to have a cigarette.  I started to get up off of Bucky's lap and he stopped me, looking at me with those big blue eyes.
"Bucky," I said, as he wrapped his arms around me.  "Don't you want to stretch your legs?"
"I can do it later," he said.  "Ingrid seems to be having a good time."
I looked at her standing close to Sam, flirting in that easy way she had and Sam flirting right back.  It wasn't surprising as she was quite extroverted.  Bucky's hand went down my back and I turned back to see a look on his face that I saw briefly the day before when he gave me that amazing kiss.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Just thinking of my therapist saying that I would know when I was ready to be more intimate," he said.  "Yesterday, I wasn't.  Tonight ....  Would you be bothered if I asked if I could stay over?"
"No, I would like it if you did," I replied, suddenly feeling a little warm.
His beautiful smile came out and my heart jumped a little.  He was so handsome, with an incredible body and was everything in a man that I never thought would be interested in me.  Gently, his right hand went into my hair, and he kissed me like he did the day before.  At that moment his phone went off, vibrating against my leg and I jumped a little.  Sam's went off as well and both men looked at each other, just knowing it wasn't going to be good.  Bucky pulled his phone out, looked at the message then replied to the text.  He smiled grimly and looked disappointed.
"We have a mission," he said.  "We have to leave within the hour.  Guess I'm asking for a rain check."
He kissed me again, tenderly, and stroked my face.  As I stood up I looked over at Sam, exchanging his phone with Ingrid for their contact information then he kissed her on the cheek and looked over at Bucky.
"I have my case and go bag in the truck," he said.  "I just need to text Sarah."  He looked at Ingrid.  "My sister.  I live with her."
Bucky pulled me by the hand to his place and unlocked the door.  While I waited, he quickly checked his go bag then turned out the lights before stopping at the door to the hallway.  The kiss he gave me then was like nothing I had ever experienced before.  His soft lips felt incredible as his tongue explored mine.  When he pulled away all I could think of was how good it felt to be in his arms and to be kissed like it was the last kiss we would ever share.
"I'll call or text you if I can," he said as he bent his forehead to mine.  "If you don't hear from me it's because the mission is classified and we're on a communications blackout.  We'll pick up where we left off, I promise you."
I got one more kiss to remember as he pressed his body against me, pushing me into the wall.  It was erotic and sexy as hell, and left no uncertainty of what I could expect when he returned.  Back in my apartment he and Sam made their goodbyes to my friends, promised to come to the staff party, and then they were gone.  My friends all told me how lucky I was to be dating such a hot guy then Ingrid put her hand on my arm and gave me a look.  She knew that it was now more than dating.  Until Bucky returned I wouldn't know how much more it would be.

some thoughts about Chester/Jon, Norris/Martin and Augustus/Jonah
reasons why i think Chester, Norris and Augustus really are Jon, Martin and Jonah:
- Chester's statements: curiosity that consumes you, the magnus institute, doing something dangerous and scary because you get enjoyment from felling fear, voyeur as a film name (very subtle), all very very Jon-like
- Norris' statements: losing the person you love, the person you love is not themselves anymore, having to kill the person you love, loneliness, being left completely alone and starting to enjoy it, all very Martin-like (also mentions of jasmine, which you can make tea from. this is nothing but it amuses me)
- Augustus statements: willingly doing something at the cost of your and eventually other's wellbeing, thirst for power and doing whatever it takes to get it, the statement itself being written as a letter/will (granted these aren't the strongest connections to Jonah Magnus, but we've only heard Augustus once so I'm sure it'll be clearer when we hear more from him)
- Chester reading out the words 'a blast from the past'. i believe that Jon heard Sam saying this about the magnus institute and then chose to say it while he was in the room to attract his attention and get him to investigate further
- the voice actors are the same. this isn't really that strong of a connection, but given that Jonny and Alex are playing 'characters' whose names aren't official and could be revealed to be something/someone else is. very convenient
- we never heard Jonah Magnus' original voice, so i do believe that Augustus is him. I've seen ppl saying that Augustus is actually Leitner, but i don't think it is bcs i really don't see how he could serve the plot in any way. also his va isn't the same, and it could be true that they just decided to change it, but given that they literally decided to kill off sasha instead of tim bc her original va couldn't work with them longer, i highly doubt that's the case
- because i miss my boys and i said so
now that i convinced you that i am 100% correct and right about everything, here are my thoughts on what role they'll play in the overarching plot:
- first off, there's the question of wether or not Jon, Martin and Jonah are the ones spying on the OIAR and controlling the computers/cctv/speakers (all technology in the building basically)
- if they are, it means that them being freed is something that has to be an endgame thing, since there would be no in-universe explanation as to how we're still listening to the podcast if no one is spying on everyone. i don't think this will happen, because having characters from tma be the endgame for tmagp is kinda lame and doesn't let tmagp fully stand on its own
- there is the option of Jon being the big bad of the series/season??? which would be cool and also very tragic, seeing him finally loose the last shreds of humanity he has left, but again. having to consume a whole other piece of media in order to fully understand the first one is. very lame. i don't think they would ever do this
- the other option is them simply being trapped in whatever is actually controlling all the tech, which i think is actually the case. i think that this reality's version of the Web is the one in control (either of all the weird spying computers, or of the OIAR itself, much how the whole magnus institute was controlled by The Eye), and Jon, Martin and Jonah are trapped in it, which given how tma ended makes complete sense
- i think Jon and Martin are gonna get the Gerry Keay treatment. they're gonna show up somehow, help the characters out and explain the concept of fears to them, then they'll get killed or somehoew trapped again, or whatever other extremely tragic thing. they are way too op to become actual recurring characters of tmagp, not to mention that, again, this wouldn't really allow tmagp to stand on it's own as a story
- as for Jonah, i have absolutely no idea what his role could possibly be. i doubt he's going to be any kind of villain, but i also doubt he'd be helpful to any of the characters. this is the only thing that kinda makes me doubt that Augustus is Jonah, but i do still believe it's him, i just think it's too early to tell what his role may be
- the other alternative is that we never actually see Jon, Martin or Jonah. we get some sort of confirmation that it's them, most likely from a statement, but we never hear from them nor do the characters ever get to hear their story. honestly this would be the most tragic since Jon would become 'just another mystery' with the knowledge that he doomed another world, Martin would never get the chance to see Jon again and forever feel guilty for his death and Jonah would never get to reclaim his power or his immortality in any meaningful way
so yeah. anyway im very much invested in the mystery of tmagp and i can't wait for more info/clues
