Jaiden: Cucurucho, you have a lot of power, right?
Cucurucho: ...I don't know. Maybe.
Roier: Ah... Yes, you know, don't act like a dumbass, you have it. You have it, man. Eh?
Jaiden: Is there a way for us to protect all the Eggs? Do you know? I don't want anything to happen to the Eggs that happened to Bobby.
Cucurucho: Ha ha ha
Roier: WHAT? [Smacks Cucurucho]
Jaiden: [Bops him] Headpats.
Cucurucho: Maybe.
Jaiden: [Continues to bop him] Headpats. C'mon, I can get it out of you! Headpats! Chin scratches! Belly rubs!
Roier: [Joins Jaiden in bopping Cucurucho, chuckling and laughs]
Jaiden: Yeah? He's comin' around!
[Jaiden and Roier both laugh]
#Jaiden Animations#Roier#Cucurucho#QSMP#Jaiden#Animations Family#There is. So much I could say about these three#and so much I could say about their relationship / interactions with Cucurucho and Osito Bimbo#Cards on the table... I really would have loved it if Cucurucho / Osito genuinely cared about Jaiden#I mean I know they DID care about her to some extent that much is clear#But they / the Federation were also ABSOLUTELY using her. I'm not arguing that they weren't#But how could anyone not be charmed by Jaiden? The boba the tea parties the head patsâ#The empathy and kindness and everything that made q!Jaiden who she wasâ#Cucurucho and Osito were tools of the Federation but I do want to believe they cared about Jaiden. Albeit in their own fricked up way#I dunno. I know this sounds like massive copium probably but I watched all of her and Roier's streams interacting with them#and I personally think that conflict and duality makes for a more interesting story#But that's just me and my own personal biases. I dunno how to properly put it into words but I am cradling them all close to my heart#I loved Cucurucho / Osito and I thought they were interesting and I'm SO SAD we'll never know what Jaiden did for them in the past#Anyways. For anyone who's read this far into my rantâ you know how Cucurucho saved the Eggs and Jaiden said she died in Purgatory?#I like imagining that she survived the bomb and wound up finding the Eggs in the aftermath#and she helped them survive until Cucurucho found them#I imagine that Jaiden was the reason they were able to escape from the Island / The Watcher / ElQuackity#She stayed behind to slow down their pursuers. And Cucurucho rescuing all the Eggs fulfilled his agreement with Jaidenâ#A promise to protect the Eggs#Like I said a lot of this is copium but that's what I like imagining#TLDR: Cucurucho / Osito did care about her in a weird way but that doesn't mean they weren't manipulating her#May 31 2023#Idk man I got a lot of emotions about q!Jaiden#Roier too but I feel like I've done way more analysis posts about him and Cucurucho. Jaiden needs time in the spotlight#Anyways there's my monthly tag rant

Still very wild to me when people try to gotcha Jason with the whole "if you can kill other people for being evil why can't they kill you" when jason is like. One of the most passively suicidal characters I've ever seen. What if man
#augh i dont want to cw this because im just talking about The Character and i feel bad when i do it for characters but i probably should#suicide mention#ask to tag#while im here i do absolutely believe hes been suicidal since jaybin times. maybe even before just in different ways. but like#going into that building with shelia? yeah#now. i DONT think he was aware of it and if youd ask him hed say no fully believing thats the truth#but like if a ghost jaybin had some introspection time i think he'd maybe eventually be like yeah#his outcomes to him were have a loving parent or die and hes a very big fan of ultimatums like that.#but he doesn't fully see it like that as jaybin because oh hes a hero and saving others when no one else can is what heros do :)#ramble. ivee been feeling it lately yknow how it is#ive once saw a post saying jason was planning to die after the joker was dead in utrh and yeagh i can see that#he puts A BOMB in his HELMET#suicidal characters in the context of hero stories are so fascinating to me. the self sacrifice.#the not caring about your own safety as long as you save someone else. the pushing yourself#the way itd be so easy to make it look like they just fell in battle. to be considered a hero in the end#anyway ive been glancing at suicidal jason todd fics. how bad is it that im still getting mad about characterization#because theyre not killing him right#AND ANOTHER THING. since im here and i try to avoid making posts about The Character like this so might as welk get it all out#think about suicidal jaybin as well as the fact 80s bruce very much considered suicidal people/people attempting like#weak and lazy? yells at them? i think thats about it. Very Much. je seems to straight up just hate them#again very much feel free to ask me to tag this one ^-^'#and i hope no one thinks im being callous here im very worried about that. i just its a very important part of his character to think about#and its fun to explore as someone who is passively suicidal myself#jason todd analysis#anyway no one look at me i am in my corner just rotating him#WAIT to clarify i dont think jaybin fully realized Just becauceof the heros sacrifice thing. i made it sound like that i believe#anyway. if you read him as suicidal since jaybin times and go to ditf with that lens like i did. well. the post death victim blaming..

ok I don't think we as a fandom talk about the way Vash cries blood enough
we only see it once or twice from what I remember, the one definite time being here ^ when the puppet attack first begins & he's dealing with the emotional agony of seeing so many of his family turn into puppets.
so it's clearly something that comes out only when he's in severe emotional distress.
the interesting thing is that Wolfwood is fucking TERRIFIED of him bc of it.
whatever this moment is, Vash is giving off the same sort of oppressive energy that Wolfwood's experienced with Knives. it's the first time during their travels that he's really been forced to recognize What Vash Is. he knew it of course, saw him in Jeneora, but he's such a goofy guy it's easy to forget.
but whatever Vash is doing here, it makes Wolfwood Incredibly aware of what he is.
so the real question i think is What exactly is going on here? is it unintentional? is it simply a response to the emotional agony?
Vash isn't the type to indiscriminately terrify everyone in the vicinity on purpose. he wouldn't be doing this purposefully out of anger while Wolfwood's there. no, in this moment, he's not even angry at all. he's Distraught.
going from This
to this
in just a moment.
yeah. that's some fucking emotional agony. i dont think Vash is doing this entirely on purpose.
but THEN...
as both Leonof and Wolfwood stare at him in fear, Both feeling his oppressive energy, Vash then lets out some sort of blast that blows against everything between him and Leonof. it doesn't destroy anything, doesn't even injure him, but it's a physically tangible effect that scares the Shit out of Leonof & spurs him into motion.
there may be some anger involved in this moment, but it's not the hair-trigger rage you would expect from seeing his family turned into puppets. it's something Quiet, something almost cold. he's distraught, Resigned, & retaliating just because he has to.
Vash hates all of this. he doesn't want to fight him. he fucking Knows this guy too, knew him as a kid, & none of this makes sense. but he knows that he needs to fight him, & doesn't have any kind of choice.
but he's not happy about it. not in the slightest.
#speculation nation#fanny reads trigun#fanny's trigun analysis#trigun#trigun spoilers/#trimax spoilers/#adding that tag for tag goers. since this is a very trimax moment.#im just fascinated by the implications here. there's so much we don't see about Vash's abilities. him and Knives both.#there's the implication that he can read people's minds in the way he sometimes responds to thought boxes#and also the entire mental conversation he has with Legato. NONE of this is brought up.#the way Knives created that tree. they obviously can generate vegetation just like their sisters. or at least Knives can.#Vash creates that barrier. which I see as an extreme manipulation of gravity to prevent anything from going through.#and of course there's the explosions. with the angel arm theyre huge.#but then we see at least once Vash turn his finger into a lil canon. aka it can be done in a smaller form#and also the implications of him just making Bomb Bullets? mini versions of his giant explosions? What??????#so it brings the question of What If they could do these things on smaller scales? would Vash be capable of minor manipulations of gravity?#would Knives be able to just generate a fruit in his hand?#so many weird little things!!!! and we have no idea!!!!!!#but ykno what me as a fanfiction writer my entire PURPOSE is to extrapolate from canon. which includes their weird ass powers.#aka im going to make assumptions from the little bits we see in canon and im gonna RUN with them#definitely looking to do something with This moment too. Vash's oppressive energy... it will Definitely be fun.

The suprisingly bad plot of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
So I played this little fun Jet Set Radio clone (don't worry, it ties into the iceberg, so I wasnt technically procrastinating with video games-)
And the thing that stuck out besides the expected and fun is how the story was bad. In a surprising way - not as "oh I didnt expect it to suck so much!!!" But nah, what I mean is that it failed in a interesting way.
So what do I mean?
Well lets start with the whole setup "Oh yeah, you get your head chopper of and are actually just a random scrap metal robot controling a should-be lifeless body."
This is weird enough, but the fact that there is that much head switching and body stitching is just strange, you wouldnt really expect that from a skating game - hell it makes the casual light-bulb eye-switching from Naruto look tame in comparison.
Still, one could guess that its just a quirky thing (or more disturbingly that some of the developers gets off from it, like not the weirdest thing that exist) - just some funny detail to get attention and stand out.
But not, this thing actually is the crux of the whole "theme" and "charachter arc"
And its weird that this kind of game trys that, like if mario struggled with alcholism as a framing decice for generic platformer #64. Cause why do something that is overly ambitious and will fail?
Like this game sadly failed - the whole search for "roots" just felt kinda unatural and as if the people were living in a different world from you (like ok I get it the society literally is that much weirder, but I mean in a sense of just procecing information and emotions differently than a standard human would)
Just the fact that the charachters feel empty and you dont really connect with them or their relationships makes everything hollow - yet its weird that they tried at all - cause yeah in the end in Jet Set Radio, nobody gives a shit about that stuff, we just wanna ride the line with carefull cartoon charicatures.
Yet still the story decided to introduce plot twist, thematic foils, villians with pseudo-arcs, drama etc.
But somehow it doesnt get how at the same time it just doesnt work on a basic level - like after its revealed that not only that Faux guy killed Felix for a petty reason but also is about to kill all other Graffiti pals, its kinda irellevant that his "big secret" was "Oh your dad kept you out of trouble"
Yet the game plays that up as some final all revealing shocker, and even gives Faux a death mirroring Felix initial fall.
Also the whole arc of Felix is both weird and at the same time something that seems to be trying to say something - from starting as some random smart hair-dryer, to it being revealed that he secretly was a legendary skater with amnesia, and the whole "you are both now"-
I get kinda that they tried to say "look he died partly because of his arrogance and not letting others be close may sparked Faux's psychopathy", but still at the end it just doesnt click, you know what Im saying - the first thing after coming to life with no memory is "Oh I wanna paint the city, yeah why not and find my original head even if its not really mine" and then "Oh I guess I learned the power of friendship, even if we interacted minimally and in the end only the final thematic attack showed the use of bonds"
Like yeah, it showed literally moments how without other people he would be dead but still it was so subdued that its weird to do a whole story like that.
Especially a story as whacky as it - with a evil skater head taking over the police and brainwashing everyone to do his biding while becoming a giant centipede monster.
But the weirdest part is that it even had the whole meta-commentary about how yeah it IS a rip-off and one cant escape that, but like, we are totally something new too guys!
But guess the only really clever writting was the set up of that weirdo with angel wings actually having a absurd but believable reason for overhearing everything lol.
Yet other things just go nowhere - the sniper kinda disapears from the story, there are obvious times where you are just sent in circles for padding, etc.
And that last thing is kinda what leads me to my attempt to reverse engineer the story -
I would guess they started with the wacky desing of the main guy and someone though "but why do he be having that crazy head thou?"
And from that it sparked the idea, well he lost the head - and that connected with the whole "identity" thing especially when they had to think if they were making something creative or just puppetering the corpse of a dead, head-team less corpse of a faux legendary franchise (I dunno why I said faux, I like JSR, but I had to tie in the names)
The details came later, hence why DJ Cybers Mask is supposedly Felix's, even though it doesnt fit the latter - cause yeah the charachter designs werent made like that originally.
And thats why there is some weird padding and moments - cause of budget reasons some things had to be stretched, or maybe some things had to be used in a way to maximise what one has done and to not throw away some cool concepts, even if they clash.
Also, Im not knocking this associative way of coming up with storys, just speculating if thats how it all came together.
Still, the fact that the story isnt just "Yeah we are rebels and here are police, lets fight!" without any of the before mentioned window dressing is surprising.
And, being non-generic is a positive surprise, no matter the execution - so see, this "essay" wasnt shitting on this game afterall.
(also contrast for a simmilar story that is unsurprisingly bad - Gravity Rush - but I'll save that for another time, man I wish that games creative direction was done by someone else, cause the gameplay itself has moments of being more fun than a lot of things...)
Oh also the proof that this all relates back to the Soul Eater iceberg - see what I found (sadly not first, cause I googled and some redditor noticed 2 months ago, alas if I played this game way back I would have had this eternal glory, not shameđ):
And if you say: That's it? I expected more!:
Yeah...Sorry
#bomb rush cyberfunk#critique#story analysis#meta#surprisingly bad#not in a bad way#spoilers#soul eater iceberg#jet set radio#would tag jsrf but only played a few levels before the emulator lost my save#I suspect maybe the story will make more sense in retrospect of that ones plot like I heard it involves some alien squid being summonened#but the first jsr had the whole yellow rhino demon#so its not the absurdity thats weird more the try to be âemotionally complexâ or to have some theme and message#but idk#yeah...sorry#also maybe there is some shit in the post game that makes it be more coherent but I already wasted enough time with videogames lol

Analyzing and explaining songs in my Zuko playlist part 5 (Zukka edition)
Dimly Lit (these are probably going to get progressively less connected to Zuko as I go on until I run out of the The Sonder Bombs Song)
âYou know not what you are But youâre my dimly lit shooting star And youâll never ever see Cause Iâll never ever ever tell you so Cause I didnât ever want you to knowâ
Zuko is dealing with internalized Homophobia. Heâs in love with Asoka but he doesnât want him to know.
âI tore and I scratched But I canât seem to detach Well trust me I have tried Well I didnât want thisâ
Zuko has tried to rid himself of these feelings but they wonât go away
âItâs not how I thought it would be So Iâm sorryâ
Zuko apologizes because to him itâs a surprise that Sokka even became his friend so he could never love him back and in Zukoâs mind would likely be disgusted by his feelings
âYou can look past whatever you like. Well me, I could look past your whole life. Iâd take you in. Like one single whole breath of sin And Iâd revel inâ
But despite everything. Despite the fact that they were once enemies Zuko loves Sokka. Zuko wants to love and feel loved in return. He wants to engage in this desire that had been labeled a crime

i think probably the core issue of lorien legacies, beyond anything to do with individual characters, is the mixed metaphors.
more specifically, about politics.
[longpost after the cut; a lot of talk about racism, xenophobia, fascism--including ecofascism--genocide, and all of the above being poorly handled. also some deeply upsetting anti-indigenous awfulness wrt the w-word.]
the writers try to make the series Heavy-Hitting and Deep and Socially Conscious by addressing real-world political issues like racism, fascism, religious fundamentalism, dictatorship, colonialism, genocide, and so on... and instead of trying to build it into a coherent dynamic with any kind of real statement about any of it, they just blindly grab at every political issue they can find and slap it together into a jumbled mess.
they don't actually understand any of the things they're talking about. and the most disturbing part is that they don't even limit themselves to drawing on bad neoliberal takes, and/or captain-obvious shit like 'genocide bad.' they ALSO draw on the politics of fascists and racists--sometimes unironically, sometimes putting it in the mouths of random protagonists without reason after establishing that it's supposed to be a bad thing, sometimes doing shit that strawmans itself into confirming the Bad Guy Fascism and what have you--and often they mix those metaphors in ways that are anywhere from bizarre to horrific.
('ya so the great replacement theory was completely right actually! the people you're genociding a hundred percent have dedicated their entire life, purpose, and remaining culture to exterminating yours. it doesn't matter if their survivors are down to the single digits, if you fail to kill even a single one of them they WILL successfully wipe you out. they will literally have your last few survivors rounded up and put into prison camps. three cheers for them!' jesus fucking christ.)
(don't get me started on shit like tossing blatant racist caricatures of north korea and its political issues into the mogadorians at some point, because why the fuck not, and then piling on the anti-japanese racism with a dump truck at the end of the first series and throughout the second. internment camps.)
(jesus fucking christ.)
and like. people don't react to this shit the way they realistically would. you cannot tell me that not a single one of the majority-POC cast in the second series would not rip a black hole into nine's irl-racist and scifi-MAGA, white-man-in-a-position-of-authority ass, or the shit that john's white-man-in-a-position-of-authority ass brings about himself under the guise of ~kindness and peace.~
and there's no logic to the kind of shit people will say and do about this stuff, especially in the sequel series. sometimes they'll express, like, basic antifascist/anti-racist/humanitarian/decent-in-general beliefs, and other times the most absolutely wild shit will come out of their mouths which either directly contradicts things they've said before--and might say after--or pulls from other blatant parts of that same horrific ideology. there is no rhyme or reason to most of it. it's just a clown car of racist/fascist/xenophobic nonsequiturs. what the hell.
and when i say nine is irl-racist in reborn i mean he casually calls a native american child the w-word as a '''lighthearted''' punny joke about his legacy. the kid is not even from any tribe whose culture they originate from; they never specify, because of course they couldn't be bothered lol, but miki is from alaska. on top of that, they had the dick ass and balls to have him randomly throw in a Very Special Episode scene where he talks about how his family are the direct-action variety of activists who he got separated from when they blew up an oil pipeline.
and he does not fucking blink at this. he doesn't say anything about it, he doesn't uncomfortably not say anything about it, he just goes on with the friendly conversation about his legacies which nine just called him a w-word for without missing a single beat.
and the ecofascism. good unholy fucking god the ecofascism. probably the most fundamental driving force of the entire first series is that if you don't ~take care of your environment~ your entire race/ethnicity/culture deserve to suffer and die slowly in the results. yes, all of them. it doesn't matter who was responsible. every last one. including the masses we see protesting on mogadore in flashbacks/visions.
also did i mention the Great Fascist Cult Leader who is responsible for the loric's genocide is a race traitor who took charge of wiping out his own? because that is a thing. it's a thing.
like. man i could go on. i could go on. and in other posts i probably will, because WOW is there a lot to unpack here. but it really does all come down to the fact that the writers wanted to sound meaningful and important and socially conscious, because that's what seems to be hip with the youth nowadays, and they don't have anything to say.
it's just gibberish. gibberish that arranges in some very telling ways as to the beliefs of their own that they are putting into the books. but gibberish.
and it pisses me off in a different way to have realized this, but god damn does it make it less tear-my-hair-out distressing than racking my brain trying to figure out what in the goddamn fuck am i looking at here.
(capitalism. capitalism is what i'm looking at here. and also racism, antisemitism, xenophobia, and just plain being fuckin stupid.)
lord.
#lorien legacies#the crit files#LL tag#LL crit tag#stares at the ceiling this series is so much#all of this is not even scraping the surface#the literal climax of the entire series is a japanese girl protagonist sacrificing herself by absorbing a nuclear bomb#with extremely graphic radiation victim imagery#takes two ibuprofen and holds a glass of ice water to my temple#racism cw#genocide cw#fascism cw#xenophobia cw#w-word cw#i am doubtless forgetting tags and will try to add them later if so#this shit is exhausting; both emotionally and because Writing Longposts#it says something here that the character analysis would be a welcome break#that does remind me i need to draft up and post some headcanons i came up with to move away from the gross NK shit with the mogs#and draw on the weird sxual/romantic overtones wrt god and jesus in evangelical christianity lmao#i am invested in writing about stuff to do with five; the mogs; and setrĂĄkus ra#and the thought of unironically using the term 'beloved leader' in my writing makes me taste copper in my mouth lmao

ââ .⧠naked (drabble/headcanon)
pairing: peter maximoff x fem!reader
words count: 1.0k | warnings and tags: suggestive themes (there's no smut btw), voyeurism, genitalia/body (peter) descriptions. english is not my first language (im still learning by self-thaught!)
⣠masterlist | author's note: unbeliavable that the first thing of that i write AND post here it's just some quick silly headcannon/thoughts off peter horny behavior. đ« right now i have too many wips on the queue to finish, so maybe in the future i rewrite this as a oneshot properly! (enter my taglist here)
Peter is the kind of guy who, when reaching the peak of his independence having his own house, and when the summer arrives with its dreadful heat waves, would simply take off his clothes and walk around the house naked. Well, at first he got a little apprehensive of doing that, staying on his nice boxers for a few days - only two - till finally letting his body free as mother nature blessed.
Until a while later, a moving truck showed up at the neighbor's empty house and he saw a beautiful and hot girl, you, moving there. He even greeted and welcomed you to the neighborhood. At first he was unsure to talk to you all of sudden, but then it's not like he hadnât started bumping into you on the street almost every week chatting with you and discovering how easy was to made you laugh at even the silliest things making every encounter more enchanting than the last one. Iâm sure these quick encounters were pure coincidence... Unknowingly, getting Peter attracted into you even more than he thought.
But on another hot summer day, walking around the house naked, he came across something unexpected, he saw you through his open window⊠Well, that wasn't the surprise, you were his neighbor, it was quite common to sometimes see you by the window. The unexpected factor was... that you were looking exactly like him, perfectly naked just like mama gave you life. You was stand up distracted with some magazine in one hand and a lollipop in your mouth while listening to a song and moving your hips sensually following the beat.
And on rare occasions, this being obviously one of them, Peter stopped moving, stooding freezed there without moving a muscle with wide eyes and mouth dropped open, his face turning pink as fast as it could, stunned by the vision of that gentle girl with such an innocent smile and shy attitude when was nears him, to be honest seeing you like that baffled his brain, a thought of you being in that situation not even pass near horny Peter's mind, but certainly turned everything on him on fire.
Okay, it was her house and she lived alone, but with the window open?... Y-yeah, Peter wasn't the best person to talk about this topic now.
Everything in his mind and body was acting so fast, his heartbeat? Oh gosh if someone could hear, it would probably sound ticking so fast like a bomb ready to explode... But nothing made him move until you stopped looking at the magazine in your hands and saw him by the window too, the windows being at the same height and directed front to one another.
Your reaction was almost the same as him, freezing still while your brain tried to collect the informations of his pretty toned body that his lucky mutant genes (and too much X-Men training) blessed him. The jacked abs with pretty biceps too, the divine slutty waist highlighting his v line, the happy trail with silver pubes and-
Oh. Oh good lord... He was fucking turned on.
His dick was awaken and glued on his abdomen just by seeing you. Aforehand you could get on with your analysis, you notice his cock twitch slightly making you return to reality and your conscious remembering your situation right now. But before this could make you react, Peter got free of his trance milliseconds earlier than you, in the blink of an eye he was no longer there, his powers made him simply evaporate from there.
In the panic you just screamed and runned out of camp of vision from the window, dropping your magazine in hands and stumbling on some other ones scattered on the floor, making you fallen ridiculously on your bed, quickly getting into a fetal position and covering your face with the hands like that would help you protect yourself from the embarrassment, of course that not works and you just feels all your body be engulfed by a heavy shame and feeling your cheeks burns, you get one of your pillows and just screams and curses into into it.
After freaking out, you wanted to check out if he was still there, so still feeling the rush of adrenaline now with your legs trembling by the scare that you just got, you get out off the bed and crawled on the floor till were below the window and sitting on your own heels and pulled the curtains close. You sighed nervously, getting on your knees and hiding behind the curtains, you opened a crack into it so you could spy with one of your eyes if he was still there, and⊠Nothing.
His window still was open but there was no one on the room, you got away from the curtains and sit on the floor with the back against the wall looking at any point of your room, feeling a million thoughts running in your mind nonstop like âWhat the fuck just happened?â
While focusing on your breath, feeling your heart pounding on your chest, reasoning that despite the embarrassment that⊠You kinda of like it?... Liked that your cute neighbor that you find smokinâ hot attractive, but never had the courage to say anything, saw you like this and was being so affected by it, being fucking turned on, with his big brown eyes and pink flustered face looking at you so shocked but... admired? Quite hard to know, it was everything so quickly, but you hoped that it was, his dick was sending an obvious message.
Now focusing on what matters⊠Good god what was that perfect body?! If you could pull him, you sure that would be the luckiest woman alive.
Being weirdly satisfied you laid on the floor, covering your mouth with one of your hands and coming down from your high, starting giggling like an idiot and kicking your feets on the air so embarrassed by the situation but thinking how funny the life is and experiences are not individuals, like as walking naked in your own house because the weather was hot and run into with your hot neighbor by the window doing the same thing.
Well, let's not think for now off by the fact that he lived at the house by your side. And probably tomorrow you would have to say good morning to him.

breaking the internet
chapter two Hiori discovers Miss Journalist might be a loyal fan of his â and learns the hard way that stalking someone on Winstagram can quickly get complicated. blue lock longfic series pairing hiori yo x reader contains slow slow slow burn, post blue lock timeskip, afab!reader angst, fluff, very hiori yo centric piece, reader is big hiori fangirl i guess masterlist taglist
A few days later, Hiori noticed Bastard MĂŒnchenâs group chat buzzing on his way to training. In just a couple of days, your article he had stumbled upon gained traction, spreading quickly among fans and media circles.
To his surprise, the teamâs marketing team seized the opportunity to reshape the narrative to their advantage. They shared the article on the teamâs official social media account, tagging you, with the caption: âBig W, thanks @/yn_offthepage for the awesome feature! We appreciate the support and dedication from all fans as we push forward this season. Donât count us out yet!â
The reaction was immediate and electric. Fans who had been hesitantâsome even criticalânow rallied behind the team. Comments flooded in, sparking a renewed sense of hope for the Kaiser-less Bastard MĂŒnchen. It was as if your article had breathed life back into a disheartened fanbase, bringing a spark of energy and support that the team badly needed.
By mid-day, another notification caught Hioriâs attentionâa link to an old podcast clip that had resurfaced from an episode a few weeks prior to the start of the season. He opened it, surprised to see that you had been a featured guest in Anri Teieri and Ego Jinpachiâs Japanese Football Association podcast show.
The video began with the three of you sitting around a cluttered table with JFA signage and merch. Anri wore her usual JFA-branded polo shirt, and Ego wore a dark dress shirt paired with his signature bolo tie.Â
You, however, were dressed more casually this timeâcasual but sporty. You donned a simple oversized tracksuit jacket and pants, with your messy bun adding an almost charming touch to your appearance. Your cheeks were lightly dusted with blush, and somehow looked radiant under the studioâs lights.
The podcast attracted attention quickly, and for good reason. The topic of discussion? The top three teams to watch that season. When Anri posed the question to you, Hiori hadnât been prepared for your bold and quick response: Bastard MĂŒnchen. The choice raised an eyebrow from Ego, who clearly hadnât been expecting it.
In the next few seconds, you defended your choice with a blend of sharp analysis and an unexpected warmth.Â
âBastard MĂŒnchen may have their flaws,â you explained, âbut this season is about more than just winning. Theyâre rebuilding, and that means everyone now has a chance to shape the teamâs dynamics in a way we havenât seen before. Itâs exciting because of how the team chooses to play things out this season can make or break them.â
As Hiori watched the clip, he couldnât suppress a slight smile. The way you spoke about Bastard MĂŒnchen struck a chord.
Your words werenât just empty praise. They held conviction, a belief in their potential that was oddly reassuring. It reminded him of why he played, of the love for the game that had gotten buried under expectations and pressure.
âThink of it this way,â you continued, âjust like in the Blue Lock project, players are forged through fire and brimstone, transforming into better versions of themselves. But this time, itâs not just individuals. Itâs a whole team, shaping their destiny together. Aside from snide fan remarks, the only limiting factor to their potential growth is themselves, with the season a ticking time bomb hovering over their heads. This is where real egoists evolve.â
Not many sports personalities, especially journalists, would have taken the risk of showing open support for a team with uncertain prospects.
She a Noel Noa fan? he wondered.
Regardless, he hadnât expected to feel that weight behind your statement, but something about it felt... right.Â
At practice later that day, the clip had gone fully viral. So viral that the teamâs sly marketing team couldnât resist showing it to the squad. And like clockwork, during their break, Coach Noa and the marketing manager flagged down the sweaty athletes and gathered them in the locker room to watch the podcast clip.
The team crowded around the big TV, and as they watched, Hiori felt the atmosphere shift. The weight of their previous defeats seemed to lift. Your public support for Bastard MĂŒnchenâthe way you called them the team to watch out for this seasonâwas like kindling to their dying embers.Â
Even without looking at each other, they can feel that thereâs a newfound determination settling within them. Even Greisnerâs grumpy self got visibly pumped, his potty mouth running nonstop, but in a good way.
Watching his teammates respond to the clip reaffirmed what heâd felt earlier. But it was Hiori who felt the impact the most. Your conviction, your words, as if everything was directed to him.
This wasnât just about the praise; it was about being seen, understood, in a way he hadnât known they needed. Your words had done more than lift him; theyâd awakened the fire within the entire team, making them feel, for the first time in a while, like they were exactly where they were meant to be.
But what surprised Hiori was the next clip that Coach Noa played.
The clip showed Anri bringing out an exaggeratedly large whiteboard titled âEgoâs Top Player Watch Listâ.
It showed a list of the top ten players to watch this season, paired with a comically drawn cartoon face of a player beside their name. It listed high-profile names and football stars everyone was expecting to see. The usual suspectsâJulian Loki, Michael Kaiser, Shidou Ryuusei, the Itoshi Brothersâwere all there.
But you interrupted Egoâs explanation mid-sentence.
âNot to be rude, but this looks like a âsuper fanâsâ wet dream.â
The team erupted in laughter. Hiori could hear Anri snort in the background, trying to cover it up with a cough after getting a stink eye from Ego himself.
Even Coach Noa couldnât help himself, letting out a low chuckle at that unfiltered comment about his former brother-in-arms.
The camera panned to Ego, whose face was now a mix of curiosity and provocation. Through gritted teeth, he said, emphasizing every syllable of every word, âIs that so? What makes you say that, Y/N-chan?"
Realizing how rude that sounded, you bowed profusely, the tips of your ears red from the embarrassment. âIâm sorry! That came out wrong!â
âWhat I mean is, these are the players that football fanboys usually rattle off,â you said, catching yourself a bit too late. You just called Ego a fanboy. You winced but pressed on.
âThese are the stereotypical names everyone expects to hear. But there are so many others who are just as impactful in their own way. Players like Nanase Nijiro, Niko Ikki, Agi, Miroku Darai, Alexis Ness âŠâ, and for a second, you visibly, faltered, hesitating.
But you continued with a smile, â... and Hiori Yo, to name a few.â
âOooh, thatâs some hot take youâve got there, Y/N-chan.â Anri laughed. âAlso, two players from Bastard MĂŒnchen?â
âSo Iâm guessing your favorite player is from the German club then?â Ego pried as he erased names on the board to replace them with Alexis Ness, Agi, and Hiori Yoâs names.
âIs it that obvious?â You chuckled. âActually, let me show you.â
The teamâs eyes were glued to the screen as you started unzipping your tracksuit jacket and revealed a Bastard MĂŒnchen black jersey with the big bold gold number on the front.
Jersey number 23.
Hiori Yoâs jersey number.
His jersey.
âOoooh!â The team erupted in laughter and teasing as they eyed Hiori, who was clearly stunned by the sudden reveal.
And it didnât stop there.
âHeâs a strategist both on and off the field. A true genius." You leaned forward, eyes bright with conviction.
âEveryoneâs always focused on the strikers, but for me, midfielders steal the show. Playmaking is the heart of football; without midfielders to anchor the team, youâd just have chaos and confusion. Donât get me wrong, I love the excitement that forwards like Julian Loki bring. But midfielders like Hiori Yo have their own kind of charm, a different thrill.âÂ
Your voice softened, your gaze momentarily distant, as if lost in thought. âThereâs something mesmerizing about the way they read the game, anticipating moves before anyone else sees them. They make football more dynamic, more unpredictable. Whatâs not to like, right?â
You paused, catching your breath, and glanced around, realizing you rambled on. Anri and Ego exchanged amused glances, clearly entertained by your enthusiasm. Hiori watched as you tucked a stray strand of hair behind your ear, cheeks flushed as if you'd suddenly remembered you weren't alone.
It was clear youâd been watching him closely, noticing the subtleties of his play that often went unnoticed. And for a moment, he couldnât help but feel a sense of pride.
As the clip ended, the locker room broke out in playful whistles, the whole Bastard MĂŒnchen jeering at Hiori. Grins and knowing looks flew his way, as they egged him on this surprising development.
âLook at you, Hiori,â Ndiaye teased, nudging him. âGot yourself a fangirl.â
Hiori felt his cheeks grow warm as he tried to hide a small smile. But something stirred within him. Was it validation? Recognition? He couldnât quite tell. Â
âWho wouldnât like Hiori? Heâs, like, the ultra-sadist.â Isagi laughed as he elbowed Hiori on the side.
âAh, shaddap, that was ages ago,â Hiori laughed, shoving him back. âBut this ultra-sadist ainât passinâ to ya if ya play like crap next match!â
âDamn, so cruel, so mean, Hiori.â Kunigami said.
âGuess itâs just my charm, eh?â Hiori grinned as he gracefully dodged a playful jab from a pouty, jealous Igarashi.
âLucky! Iâd kill for a fan in the press, so unfair.â Raichi groaned, casting a jealous look at Hiori.
Theo Sachs draped his arm around Raichi and said, âI doubt Miss Y/N would even write about you, even if youâre the master striker. You gotta be smart, not a smartass.â
âPlus, if weâre judging the team, youâd probably come in just above Igarashi at the bottom.â Yukimiya chimed in, laughing. âEven Gagamaruâs got a better shot at landing a cute fan.â Gagamaru simply huffed in smug satisfaction.
A loud clap broke their chaos as they heard Coach Noa clear his throat. âAlright, thatâs enough. This is good publicity, yes, but remember, this puts all eyes on us for the next few matches. So donât slack off. Weâve got a chance to prove them wrong, and I expect every one of you to play like it.â
The team erupted in shouts and cheers, clearly energized by the encouragement in the video. It might not have seemed like much, but having someone voice their confidence in Bastard Munchen out there for everyone to see lifted their spirits and boosted morale in a way they hadnât expected.Â
Football players are so single-minded, Hiori chuckled to himself.
The team dispersed as Coach Noa dismissed them with a wave, nodding with certainty at Hiori before heading to the field. The rest of the team scattered, eager to enjoy the rest of their break before afternoon training resumed.
He watched them go, but his mind lingered on the clip and on you.
Hiori felt a strange warmth unfurl in his chest. You weren't focused on the typical names, the usual flashy strikers; you spoke about the heart of the game, the grind, the transformation.
And when you mentioned the midfieldersâthe players who built the game from the ground up, who connected every move and controlled the chaos on the fieldâit felt like you were talking directly to him.
He couldnât remember the last time someone had seen that side of his role, had recognized the way he approached the game. He felt seenânot for his skill or his stats, but for the way he played, for the choices he made on the field.
This wasnât validation from his parents or praise from a coach. This was different. It was like a piece of himself heâd almost forgotten was gently being uncovered again. And in that moment, Hiori realized he wasnât just another player on the field. He was Hiori Yo, a player with his own way of seeing the gameâand you understood it.
Hiori replayed the clip, slipping on his earphones as he sank onto an empty bench under the shade. He let the image of you in his jersey burn into the back of his mind. And that smile.
This feels damn good, huh?
It was strange. Most people dismissed his approach to the game as too quiet, too calculated. But you understood it, and that understanding warmed him from the inside out, like a light he didnât want to fade.
Without a thought, he checked your Winstagram account he had bookmarked. He scrolled down further before stopping as he spotted the picture he had been looking for. He clicked on it, and it showed him a carousel of images from that podcast episode. He did linger a little longer on a candid photo of you in his jersey.
He tried to zoom in, double tapping the image. âAh, shit.â he muttered, as a heart-shaped âlikeâ notification popped up instead.
In a panic, his fingers moved before he could even think about it. His heart raced as he tapped it continuously, unliking it, then tapped it again, liking it once more.
He froze, realizing that what he had done probably made things worse.
âWell⊠no goinâ back now, huh?â With a soft chuckle, he hit the follow button before stashing his phone in his bag and jogging back to the field, a smile playing on his lips.
While in the middle of researching a story, you were drenched in sweat as your phone blew up with notifications. The JFA podcast going viral definitely wasnât on your to-do list today. While the clip's popularity was undoubtedly a career boost for a budding sports journalist like you, the attention was overwhelming.
Many praised you for your insightful take on the team and Hiori, but others labeled you an overzealous fan, clinging to idealistic views. As you scrolled through the messages and comments, a creeping anxiety settled in.Â
Was your conviction really misplaced? Maybe you shouldâve just mentioned PXG, like the other ânormalâ fans.
Instead, you had blurted out your admiration for Bastard Munchenâand, to make it worse, wore the jersey of your favorite player on camera.
What was I thinking, showing that off in a recorded video? So stupid.
As you scrolled further, a few off-the-rails comments caught your eye:Â
When she talked about Hiori, she gloooowed.
Hiori Yo's biggest fangirl confirmed?
Your face flushed, a mix of embarrassment and something else, something unexpected. You quickly swiped past the post, your heart pounding. Was it really that obvious? The beating in your chest wouldn't go away.
Your moment of procrastination was interrupted by a series of Winstagram notifications popping up on your screen.
hioyi_yo23 liked a post. hioyi_yo23 liked a post. hioyi_yo23 started following you.
âShit. Shit, shit shit shit shit. What now?!â You choked on your iced latte and scrambled to open the notification.
You couldnât tell if the universe was playing some twisted prank on you. Because when you saw what photo Hiori YoâBastard Munchenâs midfielder, jersey number 23, THE HIORI YO HIMSELFâhad liked, it felt like the entire world had just shifted on its axis.
It was your photo, wearing his jersey. He saw. He watched the clip. And he knew your Winstagram account.
Waitâdid he like it and un-like it?
You quickly opened his profile, you fingers trembling. His account was a stark contrast to yours. There was barely anything personalâjust a handful of Bastard Munchen-related posts, a few photos of teammates and friends, and some glimpses of his personal life, like the computer games he played or events he attended.
Everything was cryptic, like the man himself, showing only fragments of his life.
âWell, here goes nothing,â you muttered, butterflies exploding in her stomach as you tapped the follow button.
You stared at the screen for a moment, holding you breath. A smile tugged at your lips as you read it again: hiori_yo23 follows you.
author's notes: after so many revisions, it's finally done! i rewrote this chapter and it turned out longer than i expected. but i wanted to show both hiori and reader felt, their internal thoughts and feelings. a friend (who hasn't read or seen blue lock) has been helping me with proofreading. i was pretty happy because he said, he's liking hiori's character and how the slow burn is unfolding. anyway, i hope you guys enjoyed it! lemme know what you guys think!

Was reading through your torture tag and noticed a lot of stuff that was being said seemed to contradict things that were said on the scripttorture blog... do you have any suggestions on how to clear things up? Im not sure which things to trust
And you're asking us, because they've posted once in the last two years?
I'll admit, I have a fairly low opinion of them, and that's not directly their fault. For years, one of their fans, would regularly send some pretty incendiary asks our way. In fact, some of the less hostile ones were answered, and may be the posts you were looking at. Understandably, the ones simply accusing us of being torture apologists, demanding we redirect all our asks to their blog, or insisted that we should sit down and shut up, did not make the cut. With that in mind, please understand, I'm not going to go digging through their blog to refresh my memory, so some of this might be slightly skewed by the aforementioned deranged fan.
Look for the blog that does not constantly contradict or misrepresent their authoritative sources. Which is to say, if you actually pay attention to Shane O'Mara's work, it's basically what we've been saying all along.
If you're unfamiliar, O'Mara is a Neurologist who was (last I time I checked) working at Trinity College Dublin. He published a, frankly fascinating piece, called, Why Torture Doesn't Work, in which, he set about trying to answer why torture is an ineffective tool for intelligence gathering. O'Mara also had the misfortune of being the only expert who said anything close to the perspective Scripttorture wanted on torture.
An open secret about torture is that it is completely worthless for getting accurate information. This has been widely understood for centuries, if not millennia. O'Mara's question was, âwhy?â
It turns out, that the neurochemical trauma associated with torture, seriously interferes with your ability to accurately access information. For example: If you're being tortured, you can't tell your torturer where you planted the ticking bomb, because your brain literally can't access those memories.
Torture is evil. Yeah. No shit.
And, this is where ScriptTorture stops. âTorture is bad,â and Jack Bauer is an incredibly unrealistic fantasy, end of story.
Except, this is not the end of this.
Now, generally speaking, I don't blame anyone who wants to get off the ride here. Torture is an unpleasant subject, and wanting to stop at, âoh, it's evil,â is entirely reasonable... unless you want to write on the subject, or if you do political analysis and need to understand why people break out the torture implements.
More than that, this is where my academic background in political science actually comes into play. I'm not saying this as an Eagle Scout who had a couple overly enthusiastic hand to hand instructors when I was a kid. This is (part of) what I studied in college, and I have kept an eye on it since then.
If torture didn't work, you wouldn't see state-sponsored torture pop up repeatedly throughout history. It would not be one of the favorite tools of dictators and despots. However, because it does, and it is, simply saying, âit doesn't work,â isn't instructive or meaningful because it's clearly untrue. Someone is finding value in this, so it becomes important to understand what they are doing, and why they are doing it.
When you torture someone, the information they provide is basically madlibs of whatever leaked through their brain. They want the pain and stress to stop, and they'll say anything they can to make that happen. That often takes the form of what they think their torturer wants to hear. O'Mara's research does explain why they don't simply cough up the truth.
So, why do it?
Torture is a very labor intensive process. You (as an individual) can't, realistically, torture multiple victims at a time, and it is a very drawn out process. Some elements can be automated, your torturer doesn't need to be present at every moment, but they're going to spend hours, if not days, working on one victim. Worse, this is actually a technical profession. It's not like you can just pull in anyone off the street and get the results you want. (Though, technically, this doesn't seem to be as true, however, amateurs do have a shocking capacity to screw up torture. So, the point remains valid.)
The value of torture has almost nothing to do with the victim. It's about the message it sends to everyone else.
Torture is about mass coercion of the population. When you are the state (meaning, the government), and you torture someone, you are telling your citizens that you are willing to do the same to them, if they oppose you.
State-sponsored torture is specifically a tool to suppress political engagement. It is, quite literally, state-sponsored, domestic terrorism.
This even holds true in cases where the state employs torture to extract confessions from criminal suspects. The message sent into the general population is that dissent of any kind will not be tolerated, and that the state has the willingness and power to turn these tools on you if you draw their ire.
I get that this is outside of ScriptTorture's area of expertise, and in fairness, I probably would not have studied this with any intensity, if I hadn't taken multiple classes on revolutionary theory.
Torture from private organizations (which is to say, organized crime, and religious institutions, though cults and some other groups might fit this description as well), follows roughly similar patterns. These tend to do the same things, discouraging dissent, and establishing the organization as having power over the population (or community.) (The technical term would be to âestablish capacity.â Which is to say, the organization's capacity to enforce its will. The same term applies to states, though in those cases, the state's capacity is often overestimated by its population. It's only when it starts to falter, for example through military defeats or serious civil unrest, that they really need the capacity boosting part of this equation.)
Zealotry or stupidity can create situations where you have a torturer (or, more likely, someone in a position of power ordering the torture) who believes that it is effectively compelling the truth from the victim. This (or amateurs) can easily lead into a distinct problem, which is that all of this has diminishing returns. Torture one person, and you send a loud, clear message. Torture ten, and all you've added to it is that you're willing to keep going. However, as you start stacking up the victims, you do start sending a new message to your enemies, that being, you're going to get to them sooner or later so it's in their best interest to respond now, mobilize and retaliate proactively, before you get to them. This means that a state which leans heavily on torture can easily instigate the civil unrest that exposes their limited capacity leading to a political death spiral. Alternately, if the state does have the capacity to put down the resulting unrest, it further reinforces their position (which does happen with depressing frequency in the real world.)
You're also going to create new enemies in the friends, family, and loved ones, of the people you tortured. This means that any organization that relies on extensive use of torture will, eventually, start tying a noose around its own neck. (Granted, there are a lot of social dynamics that I'm skimming over here, so it's not exactly as simple as âif the state tortures lots of people, it will result in increasing unrest.â)
If you want a partial citation for the above, you can (ironically) find it in a podcast interview with Shane O'Mara, when he explained why torture has been employed repeatedly through history. (Specifically I think it was episode 15 of Your Welcome, by Michael Malice. Though, I'm not 100% sure off hand.) Though that doesn't cover some of the more in depth elements I just discussed. Some of this is coming from a textbook on revolutionary theory I can't locate (it disappeared in a move a few years back.) Though that was more interested in the general structure of a state destabilizing into internecine conflict. Ironically, my preferred citation on torture, Fear up Harsh by Tony Lagouranis is mostly uninformative in this case, because his experiences were on the ground, rather than from a structural understanding of what his job was really doing. However, he does illustrate my comment about amateurs making even more of a mess, both through personal experiences with a few, and also through the eventual trajectory of the invasion and occupation of Iraq.
But of course, torture is evil... again, no shit. Was that really a question? And, I'm apparently a torture apologist for having a structural understanding of why evil people do evil things. Cool. Evil people don't do evil things because they're evil, they do them because they gain some tangible benefit from those acts, and they do not care about the consequences to anyone else. If you ask someone, âwhy do people do this?â and their answer is, âit's simple; they're evil,â that person is lying. They may be lying to themselves, but they are lying to you.
Why do people use torture? It's a lot more complicated, and unpleasant, than you'd expect at a simple overview.

Loid Forger and Weakness (Analysis)
I was watching gameplay footage of What Remains of Edith Finch and towards the ending I thought about the idea of memories, and one thing led to another and I thought of Spy x Family, specifically Loid. It made me wonder if he ever did confront his past and what exactly weakness means to him.
(These thoughts may not be organized since it happened so late at night but bear with me.)
Initial Thoughts
I always thought about being taught that the idea of, "you have to be strong" which often goes hand in hand with this idea of "you can't show emotions". I feel like Loid constantly tells himself he can't be weak, buy what does that mean if his idea of being strong is to not show any emotion?
Memories
I don't believe it being so long ago is the reason he doesn't remember his parents faces, I want to believe he purposefully forgot what they looked like, and this probably applies to his actual name too. His home was destroyed, any and all photos of his family were lost in the debris, he burned his identification papers so there's also no record of him ever having existed. He said it himself that there is no one left who knows his name.
I should also mention how he remembers the faces of his friends and croquette lady. Loid remembering his friends faces are a given since he believed they had died during the first bombing but he later reunited with them when he was a teenager, only to lose them during a botched military operation, leaving nothing behind but dog tags.
While it may be random to include the croquette lady I feel that remembering her face is still significant given that she was the last person he spoke to before the bombs dropped, as well as being the first casualty he saw.
Memories (continued)
It may not mean anything but find it interesting that his name is hidden like this, maybe I'm thinking it about it too much but it's almost as if it were blocked out, much like how classified files have certain sentences edited out because of their sensitive nature. If he had forgotten his name it liked would've been blurred but instead it's redacted, this paired with not remembering his parents faces, it's almost as if he made himself forget, but why?
Weakness
I think his parents faces specifically his mother and his actual name are all that connects him to who was before, he likely still remembered up until he joined WISE where he was possibly taught to let go of the past, not because they didn't care about what happened to him but because it likely would've had an impact on his work, and he passed on that same mentality to Fiona, about spies not showing emotion, to stay alert and not be ignorant, because to him those two things are what make someone weak.
I find it interesting to believe that Twilight wasn't always this way but rather he adapted his own experiences and the mindset he was taught into him and realized that his emotions and overall ignorance is what led him to participate in a war, without even knowing why. The reason he did so was because of those weaknesses and that he needed to discard them. So it's no surprise that during his fight with Wheeler, but mostly Yuri, that he came to terms with the fact he's getting weak, because instead of doing what he would normally do if it was anyone else, he instead chose to spare him. If he was the Twilight that he was prior to Strix then he absolutely would've killed Yuri because he wouldn't have any reason not to, but he does, and in doing so that decision to spare him almost cost him his life.
"You're getting weak"
It all comes to a head when he recalls the event, he acknowledges that Wheeler is for lack of a better word, perfect. Someone that he himself used to be but somewhere along the away something changed. Twilight acknowledged that he was getting weak and the source of that weakness, was his small but still very present feelings for Yor, if those feelings weren't there and if Yor was just another person to use for the sake of the mission, then he wouldn't have spared Yuri but he did, for her sake.
While he may have been thinking about doubting himself while thinking about the encounter with Yuri I believe the panel still holds some weight, Loid knows he's starting to slip up and this time was too close of a call, he knows he's experiencing.
It may have happened long ago but it still relevant to how Loid is as a character thus far, that being Fiona's observation that his smile had a shred of genuineness to it when she visited, that bit of emotion being a result of spending time with his family, and learning to form connections again so it's only a matter of time before he actually expresses his own emotions directly in some capacity.
Closing Thoughts
This entire post came as a result of What Remains of Edith Finch, which I highly recommend people play as it has a nice mystery element to it as well as its overall themes of death and memories and being presented in such a unique way. The concept of keeping your emotions hidden and locked away is something I relate to which is all the more reason as to why I'd like to see Loid be more open about the way he feels or genuinely breaks down and lets all those bottled up emotions out, allowing himself to fall apart be vulnerable around people, specifically his family. There's this really nice artwork I saw once of Yor and Anya hugging a child Loid, and I always thought that externally Loid is a grown man but internally he's a child wanting someone to lift him up and tell him, "it's going to be okay".

Little Comfort
Pairing: Johnny âSoapâ MacTavish x F!Reader
Summary: Long day at work. You had enough.
Warning : M themed. no major warning. A/N: We all need a Johnny after a long shitty day at work.
Part 3 of Little Bear series Masterlist
You slam your laptop shut, leaning back into the chair and let out a painful groan as you send out that last analysis report.Â
Itâs been a long painful day. The long meetings that went around in circles, going nowhere.
Piles and piles of documents and reports to finish off.
You had enough. The urge of strangling your annoying manager and workmate was interrupted by the soft shrilling sound of your ringtone.
âHello Johnny.âÂ
âHey my little bear. I assume you finished work?âÂ
âJust about. I am sorry I had to cancel our date night tonight.â Rubbing your eyes as you replied tiredly. You were supposed to be home hours ago, spending quality time with your boyfriend whoâs only arrived home the day before from his latest deployment. Guilt starts bubbling up from your stomach. âThey piled on last minute work onto me at the end of day, I couldnâtâŠâ
Knowing you too well, he interrupted, âDonât worry about it bonnie. Come home and Iâll take care of ya. We can just order some takeaway and have a date night at home?â
âThat sounds heavenly. See you at home in ten minutes?.â
âDrive safe. Love you little bear.â
Hearing his soft baritone voice was enough to wash half of your stress away. He always knows how to make you feel better. You donât know how you got so lucky to have Johnny as your boyfriend. You miss him so much during his time away, and now you are wasting precious seconds of your short time together before he gets sent away, in the office. At the thought of that, you quickly lock up the office, rushing home.
As soon as you step through the door of the house, Johnny takes the messenger bag and keys off you and ushers you straight into the bathroom.
âI got the bath ready for you. Even threw in some of your favourite bath bombs into it.â he rambled on as he helped you to undress. âOh, before I forget,â He slapped his forehead. âWhat do you feel like? We have choices ofâŠ. Chinese, Thai, Italian, or⊠â pointing to himself, grinning â A MacTavish Special?âÂ
You burst out laughing, giving your boyfriend a playful shove, â I might have that as a midnight snack thank you.â Letting out a soft sigh as you step into the bath,â You pick. Iâm happy with anything.â âPizza it is then.â He gave you a quick kiss and turned to order the takeaway on his phone, leaving you soaking in a nice steamy bath.Â
Nice and refreshed from the relaxing bath you just had, you plonk yourself down onto the couch. Johnny poured you a glass of wine, shaking out the blanket, carefully wrapping it around you.Â
"Johnny."
"Yes bonnie?"
"... Thank you for taking care of me."
"You deserve to be pampered, my little teddy bear."
"Why?"
"Because I love you."

It happens to be that for...
...every thousandth work removed from the Chatterweb FicArc, the Sea Fox Technicians charged with curating it have a kind of unofficial roundup of all the causes for said removals, mostly for their own amusement. The latest one of them reported, among other items:
Most Frequent Removal Cause: inexcusably irreverent depiction of the bondsman system, at 489 works. (An even 500 if you include the specific 'bondcord does not go there' trope.)
Most Novel Removal Cause: Kentares Massacre denial, only featured in one work.
Fastest Removal: an untitled work that contained three paragraphs of filler before abruptly transitioning to a military analysis of FWL standard planetary defenses was taken down in six minutes. The moderation team still does not know who the information was intended to reach, nor why this medium was chosen.
Unofficial Kerensky Star for Artistic Excellence: A Kiss and a Crown ~ Four Kings in a Deck, a moving, passionate, heartbreaking, one-hundred-and-four chapter work on a whirlwind romance between "Aleksandra Kerensky", "Regina Cameron", "Jennifer Blake" and "Stefanie Amaris". Removed for sympathetic portrayal of the Usurper.
Protective Custody: Ruffled Feathers, which did not break any codes per se (in fact, it was quite scrupulously researched), but the moderators were certain that any fic containing the tag 'Alaric x Malvina' was going to get somebody killed and they had a duty to safeguard their users.
'Mechs Cannot Do That: ranging from 'improper technical specifications' to 'that is not where new 'mechs come from', 204 works were removed for hazardous misinformation on 'mech use and safety procedures.
Manifesto Mischief: eight works were removed for containing radicalizing material or messaging, ranging from statements deemed discriminatory and inflammatory in nature to straight-up bomb construction guides.
Personal Objections: two works were removed for allegations that the Chatterweb FicArc moderation Technicians are incompetent or overbearing.

The phrase âplease develop the media analysis skills that God gave geeseâ in ur reblog had me on the floor laughing thank u so much for ur OFMD contributions
Heehee, thanks!
Also since the trailer dropped I am even more convinced that the Izzy haters are genuinely either the worst at interpreting things like tone or under fifteen different layers of willful denial.
Like the fact that there are people who are saying this kind of shit in the "Izzy Hands" tag AFTER THE TRAILER DROPPED WITH THAT BOMB-ASS LINE is a level of stubborn I cannot comprehend:
(please note that I blurred out their URLs for a reason, and if I find out any of my followers sent anyone hate I will block that person. having wild-ass interpretations of shit is funny, not a reason to harass.)
