That bisexual characters poll contest where Luz Noceda went up against Percy Jackson really summs up how wlw rep is viewed vs how mlm rep viewed.Luz is a baby butch on-screen with an explicit romance arc with another girl reinforced throught literally half the show of them dating and Percy is considered canonically bi because.......she's amab and described men as conventionally attractive.Not that she was attracted to them but that they fit beauty standards and her fandom had a meltdown when the official website called her straight despite her hating almost the men in question.The Luz x her canon girlfriend shippers also got way more of a bad rep for making fun of Luz's platonic m/f rep that were implied to be found siblings as a romantic ship yet nobody says anything about the Percy,an 18 year old,x Luke and the gods,7 years her senior and men as old as creation itself,shipping.Percy's also heavily transfem-coded but if you say it you get smackdabbed with Masculinity Matters and if you say to not ship Luz's canon lesbian girlfriend in ships with men you get called a biphobe

You know for all their talk of “t4t h/l,” and as popular as both trans guy and trans girl Hunter are, there doesn’t seem to be much content of trans Willow? Just h/ls calling their ship “t4t,” and unlike trans girl Hunter content, I don’t think trans guy Willow content exists at all. Granted, it’s possible I just haven’t seen it, but…

Yeah, I honestly don't think I've EVER seen trans Willow art aside from seeing (unfortunately) h/l art and having it just "claim" h/l "t4t". It's because the shippers don't actually care about trans rep, they just think that if they claim t4t h//l it will mean their ship actually is important and "good representation!" the way lumity is as a canon wlw relationship. It's transparent and stupid. They just want to find ways to "prove" their ship is important or interesting. (spoiler alert: it's not!)
