Boeing, Spirit and Jetblue, a monopoly horror-story

Last week, William Young, an 82 year old federal judge appointed by Ronald Reagan, blocked the merger of Spirit Airlines and Jetblue. It was a seismic event:

Seismic because the judge's opinion is full of rhetoric associated with the surging antitrust revival, sneeringly dismissed by corporate apologists as "hipster antitrust." Young called America's airlines and "oligopoly," a situation he blamed on out-of-control mergers. As Matt Stoller writes, this is the first airline merger to be blocked by the DOJ and DOT since deregulation in 1978:

The judge wasn't shy about why he was reviving a pre-Jimmy Carter theory of antitrust: "[the merger] does violence to the core principle of antitrust law, 'to protect] markets –- and its market participants — from anticompetitive harm."

But what really caught my eye was David Dayen's American Prospect article about the judge's commentary on the state of the aviation industry:

Why, after all, have Spirit and Jetblue been so ardent in pursuing mergers? Jetblue has had two failed merger attempts with Virgin, and this is the third time they've failed in an attempt to merge with Spirit. Spirit, meanwhile, just lost a bid to merge with Frontier. Why are these two airlines so obsessed with combining with each other or any other airline that will have them?

As Dayen explains, it's because US aviation has been consumed by monopoly, hollowed out to the point of near collapse, thanks to neoliberal policies at every part of the aviation supply-chain. For one thing, there's just not enough pilots, nor enough air-traffic controllers (recall that Reagan's first major act in office was to destroy the air traffic controller's union).

But even more importantly, there are no more planes. Boeing's waitlist for airplane delivery stretches to 2029. And Boeing is about to deliver a lot fewer planes, thanks to its disastrous corner-cutting, which grounded a vast global fleet of 737 Max aircraft (again):

The 737 disaster(s) epitomize the problems of inbred, merger-obsessed capitalism. As Luke Goldstein wrote, the rampant defects in Boeing's products can be traced to the decision to approve Boeing's 1997 merger with McDonnell-Douglas, a company helmed by Jack Welch proteges, notorious for cost-cutting at the expense of reliability:

Boeing veterans describe the merger as the victory of the bean-counters, which led to a company that chases short-term profits over safety and even the viability of its business:

After all, the merger turned Boeing into the single largest exporter in America, a company far too big to fail, teeing up tens of billions from Uncle Sucker, who also account for 40% of Boeing's income:

The US government is full of ex-Boeing execs, just as Boeing's executive row is full of ex-US federal aviation regulators. Bill Clinton's administration oversaw the creation of Boeing's monopoly in the 1990s, but it was the GOP that rescued Boeing the first time the 737 Maxes started dropping out of the sky.

Boeing's biggest competitor is the state-owned Airbus, a joint venture whose major partners are the governments of France, Spain and Germany – governments that are at least theoretically capable of thinking about the public good, not short-term profits. Boeing's largest equity stakes are held by the Vanguard Group, Vanguard Group subfiler, Newport Trust Company, and State Street Corporation:

As Matt Stoller says, America has an airline that the public bails out, protects, and subsidizes but has no say over. Boeing has all the costs of public ownership and none of the advantages. It's the epitome of privatized gains and socialized losses.

This is Reagan's other legacy, besides the disastrous shortage of air-traffic controllers. The religious belief in deregulation – especially deregulation of antitrust enforcement – leads to a deregulated market. It leads to a market that is regulated by monopolists who secretly deliberate, behind closed board-room doors, and are accountable only to their shareholders. These private regulators are unlike government regulators, who are at least nominally bound by obligations to transparency and public accountability. But they share on thing in common with those public regulators: when they fuck up, the public has to pay for their mistakes.

It's a good thing Boeing's executives are too big to fail, because they fail constantly. Boeing execs who are warned by subcontractors of dangerous defects in their planes order those subcontractors to lie, or lose their contracts:

As a result of Boeing's mismanagement, America's only aircraft supplier steadily has lost ground to Airbus, which today enjoys a 2:1 advantage over Boeing. But it's not just Boeing that's the weak link aviation. US aviation is a chain entirely composed of weak links.

Take jet engines: Pratt & Whitney are Spirit's major engine supplier, but these engines suck as much as Boeing's fuselages. Much of Spirit's fleet is chronically grounded because the engines don't run. The reason Spirit buys its engines from those loveable goofballs at Pratt & Whitney? The Big Four airlines have bought all the engines for sale from other suppliers, leaving smaller airlines to buy their engines from fat-fingered incompetents.

This is why – as Dayen notes – smaller US airlines are so horny for intermarriage. They can't grow by adding routes, because there are no pilots. Even if they could get pilots, there'd be no slots because there are no air traffic controllers. But even if they could get pilots and slots, there are no planes, because Boeing sucks and Airbus can't make planes fast enough to supply the airlines that don't trust Boeing. And even if they could get aircraft, there are no engines because the Big Four aviation cartel cornered the market on working jet engines.

Part of Jetblue and Spirit's pitch was that they hand off the routes that they'd cut after their merger to other small airlines, like Frontier and Allegiant. But Frontier and Allegiant can't service those routes: they don't have pilots, slots, planes or engines.

Spirit hasn't been profitable since 2019 and is sitting on $4b in debt. Jetblue was proposing to finance its acquisition with another $3.5b in debt. The resulting airline could only be profitable by sharply cutting routes and massively raising prices, cutting 6.1m seats/year. With a debt:capital ratio of 111%, the company would have no slack and would need a bailout any time anything went wrong. Not coincidentally, the Big Four airlines also have debt:capital ratios of about 100-120%, and they do get bailouts ever time anything goes wrong.

US aviation is deeply cursed. But Boeing's self-disassembling aircraft show us why we can't fix it by allowing mergers: private monopolies, shorn of the discipline of competition and regulation, are extraction machines that turn viable businesses into debt-wracked zombies.

The US health care system has been in trouble for a long time, but the current nightmare starts with the deregulation of pharma. Pharma companies interbred with one another in a string of incestuous marriages that produced these dysfunctional behemoths that were far better at shifting research costs to governments and squeezing customers than they were at making drugs. The pharma giants gouged hospitals for their products, and in response, hospitals underwent their own cousin-fucking merger orgy, producing regional monopolies that were powerful enough to resist pharma's price-hikes. But in growing large enough to resist pharma profiteering, the hospitals also became powerful enough to screw over insurers. Insurers then drained their own gene pool by combining with one another until most of us have three or fewer insurers we can sign up with – companies that are both big enough to refuse hospital price-hikes, and to hike premiums on us.

Thus monopoly begets monopoly: with health sewn up by monopolies in medical tech, drugs, pharmacy benefit managers, insurance, and hospitals, the only easy targets for goosing profits are people:

This is how you get a US medical system that costs more than any other rich nation's system to operate, delivers worse outcomes than those other systems, and treats medical workers worse than any other wealthy country.

Now, rich people can still buy their way out of this mess, but you have to be very rich indeed to buy your way out of the commercial aviation system. There's a lot of 1%ers who fly commercial, and they're feeling the squeeze – and there's no way they're leasing their own jets.

Stein's Law holds that "anything that can't go on forever will eventually stop." America's aviation mergers – in airlines, aircraft and engines – have hollowed out the system. The powerful, brittle companies that control aviation have so much power over their workforce that they've turned air traffic controller and pilot into jobs that no one wants – and they used their bailout money to buy out the most senior staff's contracts, sending them to early retirement.

Now, I'm with the people who say that most of US aviation should be replaced with high-speed rail, but that's not why our technocrats and finance barons have gutted aviation. They did it to make a quick buck. A lot of quick bucks. Now the system is literally falling to pieces in midair. Now the system is literally on fire:

Which is how you get a Reagan appointed federal judge issuing an opinion that has me punching the air and shouting, "Yes, comrade! To the barricades!" Anything that can't go on forever will eventually stop. When the system is falling to pieces around you, ideology disintegrates like a 737 Max.

Jack shows Rose what shaving is like. Rose enjoys more of it than she thought she would. (Or, Rose's first steps towards self-discovery.)

Rose is always surprised by how barren Jack’s room seems compared to her own. She tells herself it’s just a matter of time spent onboard the TARDIS, but she still pauses to frown at all the empty space. Even his bed is neatly made where her own remains in a constant state of disarray. The only reminders that he’s still living here at all are a spare t-shirt thrown over a chair and the sound of running water from the adjoining bathroom.

She makes her way over to him. She doesn’t knock, and didn’t when she entered in the first place, but she does call his name when she pokes her head in. “Jack?”

He turns back to acknowledge her, smiling beneath the beneath foamy wisps left of his shaving cream, though Rose is more distracted by his lack of a shirt and the dark hair spread down his chest that he hasn’t shaved. He leans against the sink, still dripping from where he’s been splashing himself clean, a straight razor held in place beneath his palm. “The Doctor sent you to fetch me?” he asks. Rose forces her eyes back up to his face, which Jack notices. It only makes his grin wilder as he angles himself to give her a better view. At that, Rose has to look away entirely, torn between laughing at his familiar confidence and flushing hot from head to toe.

“Something like that. You were running late. He notices.” Sometimes it feels like the Doctor has Rose’s morning routine better memorized than she does. He might fail to pick up on when she’s upset if it’s right in front of his face, but never if it makes her miss her usual breakfast. There’s a subtle pull at Jack’s mouth when she’s done speaking, a brief pinch around his eyes, gone by the time he’s turning to the sink to finish shaving.

“I had… a long night. Slept through my alarm. I’m almost done here.” The pause makes Rose want to push him for more, and she would if she knew where to start. It’s only a matter of time. No matter how good he is at hiding his secrets, he can’t stop himself from inviting them in to look for them. He wouldn’t do that if he didn’t want Rose and the Doctor to know eventually, but whenever that might be isn’t today, so Rose is left searching for something else to say.

“He also said to ask what your opinion on sea monsters is,” she falls back on. Despite avoiding the earlier subject, nothing about Jack comes off as defensive. He hums a simple note as he washes shaving cream off the razor and asks,

“With or without tentacles?” Rose blinks.

“Is that important?” she asks.

“Incredibly,” he answers. She watches the slow, practiced glide of the razor against the side of his chin, catching a few final hairs. He tilts his head slightly to get the angle right, showing off the curve of his neck to her. When Rose meets his eyes again through the bathroom mirror as he relaxes, he says, “Enjoying the show?”

“You like having an audience.” Jack leans down to cup his hands in the stream of water and splash his face. The razor rests at his side, the edge still foamy with cream and short, dark hairs. He pats himself dry with a towel, drops it against the sink, and then reaches out a hand towards her. Rose takes it without hesitation, stepping closer. Jack brings it up to the side of his face, resting her fingers against freshly shaven skin to feel the difference. Rose trails them down along his jaw and up again until she can cup his cheek in her palm. Jack’s eyes shut as he leans into her hand, relaxed and happy. In a week, maybe less, she knows she’ll be able to feel the rough beginnings of new stubble on his face. Something twinges in her chest as she thinks about watching that happen while she stays exactly the same. She frowns, not sure why that would even bother her.

She lets the expression fall away before Jack’s eyes open again. “Do I have to tell you you’re gorgeous? You seem to know already,” she teases. Jack nudges against her hand again playfully before she withdraws it.

“Never hurts,” he says. “Especially now that you’ve seen all the work I put in to stay that way. Unlike our Doctor.” Rose’s heart flutters with the ease with which Jack says ‘our’. “Do we even know if he ever shaves, or do you think he tells his chin hairs off sternly and they fall out in shame?”

“Sonics them away, I reckon,” Rose says, nodding as she lets her hand drop. The motion brings her gaze down to Jack’s chest again, and the speed at which she snaps her eyes back up to his makes her peeking even more obvious that last time. She can just feel Jack about to tease her about it, so she says the first thing that comes to mind to cut him off. “What does it feel like, anyway?”

“What?” he says, and she can hear the barely restrained flirtation just behind the words, held back to answer her question. “Shaving?”

“Yeah.”

“You’ve never shaved anything before?” He sounds skeptical.

“Of course I’ve- That’s different!” Funnily enough, she can’t remember the last time she bothered to, either. No one around to remind her, she supposes. No wonder her legs have felt warmer under her skirts. She resolves to wear something long the next time she visits her mom. If she can’t see anything, she can’t say anything, and Rose can carry on exactly as she is. “I didn’t use shaving cream for my legs.”

“You should,” he says, casually. “You might need more to cover it, but it makes the whole process a lot faster. Less nicks, much more smooth, really prepares you for showing off in fishnets.” Before Rose has a minute to put together the pieces on him knowing all of that, Jack is reaching for his can of shaving cream. “Hold out your hand.”

When Rose does, he gives the can a light shake and spurts some cream onto her hand. The white foam spills messily across her palm from the nozzle.

“Don’t-” she starts.

“There’s more where that came from,” Jack says, suggestive, completely ignoring her. Rose rolls her eyes. She squishes her fingers through the foam. “Well? How does it feel?”

“Cold,” she answers. “Soft? A little like lotion.” The consistency is the same, at least. It feels nice against her skin. Jack’s watching her, thinking.

She’s still playing with the cream when she hears the water run again. Jack’s wetting the same towel he used to dry his face earlier. He turns back to her, fingers nudging her chin up. “Hold still,” he says. “I don’t want to get your shirt wet.” He dab at the lower half of her face with the warm washcloth. “Not that I’d complain, but I make a habit of only ruining other people’s clothes when they ask for it.” He motions her around with little taps against her jaw, and she follows, making it easier for him to dampen her skin with the hot water. “Which you still could. I’m not giving up hope yet.” He takes her hand in his own, palm up, and scrubs the shaving cream off of it for her before he puts the towel down.

“What are you doing?” Rose asks, though it’s obvious. She thinks she just wants him to say it for her, confirm this isn’t some kind of joke.

(But even if she didn’t know, she’d still let him. She’s in safe hands with Jack. Very few people have ever made her feel that way.)

“You said you wanted to know what it was like.” He picks up the shaving cream can again. She sees him weigh it in his hand like he’s trying to estimate how much is inside before he shakes it again. He pauses just long enough for her to step out of reach if she wanted to, and when she doesn’t, he puts his hand beneath her chin again. It’s more sure now. He guides her with his thumb solid against her jaw, turning her head slowly to make sure he covers her face with the cream. It tickles more than it did on her hand, and Rose bites her lip to keep from giggling.

“I don’t have anything to shave,” Rose protests, a little late. Her chin and cheeks feel chilled by the shaving cream, but not unpleasantly. There are streaks of it on Jack’s hand as he draws back again.

“I’m using my imagination,” Jack tells her. He washes his razor off for her, turning it this way and that beneath the sink before examining it to make sure nothing is sticking behind from its last use. It looks well-sharpened, but even when Jack rests it against her cheek for the first time, Rose can’t feel scared. There’s far too much focus in his eyes, even more so than when he was shaving his own face earlier. Very slowly, he scrapes a little of the shaving cream off her cheek. The razor slides against her skin, warm from the water it was under, contrasting against the cream and leaving the space behind it exposed again. “Breathe, Rose,” Jack tells her. She inhales, not realizing she’d stopped until he points it out.

The next glide of the razor moves in time with her exhale as she holds as still as she can for him. His other hand has found its place beneath his chin again, keeping her steady. When all she can do is memorize the feeling of him touching her, she notices the little differences between him and the Doctor, that the Doctor’s fingers are slightly longer, that Jack’s thumb has more of a callous along the inside of it. The razor moves easily through the shaving cream, and she can see Jack begin to relax the longer it goes without incident, as though he needs more reassurance than she does that he won’t mess up and nick her.

“Smoothest shave I’ve ever given anyone,” he jokes, but his voice is low and warm. Rose swallows.

Did he mean before that he was imagining her with… with what? Surely not a full beard, not unless he wanted to laugh at her… right? No. Maybe- Well, maybe he wasn’t imagining anything at all, from how concentrated he was.

Or maybe he was seeing her in his mind’s eye with a lazy week’s stubble, gently shaving it off for her. Did he imagine how it felt beneath his hands before when he was preparing her? Was he imagining it now as he rubbed his thumb along the bottom of her jaw? Would he like that, a little scratch of growing hair that she was letting him take care of? Rose’s could hear her own breaths from between her parted lips catching with the thought of all of it.

Would she like that?

“You alright, Rose?” Jack’s voice pulls her out of her own thoughts before she can scare herself. Scare herself? Is she scared? Her heart is beating faster, but she can’t tell if it’s fear or something else.

“Fine,” she answers, lying poorly. Jack pauses, and she feels his thumb rub against her jaw again. She focuses on that.

Safe in Jack’s hands, wherever he’s taking her.

“I’m okay,” she says, and this time, it’s true. Jack still waits for her to pout and say, “Get back to work, Jack.”

“Yes, sir,” Jack says, a professional snap to the words like a verbal salute that makes Rose bite her lip again. The razor comes back, continuing its journey across her face and smoothing away the shaving cream.

A few more drags in silence follow before a lopsided grin climbs onto Jack’s face.

“Found one.”

“One what?”

“One little brown hair,” Jack says. He flips the razor for her to see, and it really is the tiniest hair floating in the shaving cream on the blade. Rose stares at it.

She feels strangely proud that it exists. Even stranger, a little sad that Jack’s shaved it off.

It’ll grow back, she finds herself thinking.

“Blow on it,” he says. “Make a wish.”

“You’re thinking of eyelashes.”

“I don’t think the wish will care that much which hair it came from.” She indulges him. She blows a few white drops of shaving cream back onto Jack’s chest. Without thinking, she reaches forward to wipe them off with her thumb. She freezes when she touches him, but it’s far too late to back out now. She brushes her thumb across each speck, following them down along his chest to the last one low against his ribs. Her fingers run over his chest hair as she does. It’s a fight both to make herself not react to that or to go back and explore a little more. Her cheeks are burning, and there isn’t nearly enough shaving cream left to hide it.

“You really didn’t need an excuse if you wanted to feel me up,” Jack says, and he sounds delighted. She almost pulls her hand back, but she stops herself. After all, he started it.

“Then I’m not going to bother with one.” With that, she resolutely slides her hand back up his chest. She feels it rise and fall slightly as he breathes, shift as he moves his arm again to continue shaving her. She curls her fingers to feel his hair move against them, the thick dark patch at the center spreading thinner across his chest. It’s soft.

No wonder he doesn’t shave it. She’s jealous.

Jealous of what? It’s not like she can’t get her fill of him. Jack will happily let her.

She tries to shake off the feeling and can’t quite.

“Do you ever wish you were someone else?” He wipes some spare shaving cream off of her cheek. He’s almost done. Not that there will be much of a difference to show it, Rose thinks. She frowns.

“In what way?” he asks. “Am I swapping places with someone, or am I turning into someone else?” She wonders how much his answer would change depending on which she chose, but in the end, she can’t pick both.

“The second one. I think.” Her frown deepens. “Sorry. I’m not sure what I’m asking. I’m confusing myself now.”

Jack takes her hand from his chest and lifts it to his mouth, absently kissing her knuckles before he answers. She’s not even sure he registered that he did it, too focused on the razor in his other hand and her question.

“I like being me,” he says, honestly. “Wasn’t easy to get here, so I think I’ll keep it.” Rose withdraws her hand, touching the spot his lips brushed. “What about you?”

Rose feels the razor make its last pass over her face. Jack lifts it away. Not a single scratch on her. Not a spot of irritation where he wasn’t careful enough. Rose lifts her fingers to her cheek and finds the skin there as smooth as ever.

“Yeah,” she answers, and she realizes she’s lying. “Who else would I even be?”

Jack passes over her face once more with the warm rag to get the last of the shaving cream off of her. He has to get another to dry her with. Rose enjoys the pampering.

“How about a Rose Tyler who’s been thoroughly kissed?” She turns her head up to let him. Jack’s arms wrap around her back. “Among other things,” he murmurs when he’s done.

“I’d like that.” Jack makes himself easy to get lost in, and right now, Rose wants that. It’s easier than… She’s not sure, but whatever it is, she’d rather be kissing him than facing it. And if Jack’s hands slide down to her waist and lower still, she’s not complaining.

She’s forgotten why she’d come in his room in the first place completely until the Doctor—who knocks as much as Rose did, which is to say, not at all—comes complaining. “Rose, you left thirty minutes ago, what are you-” He cuts himself off, and Rose drops her head against Jack’s shoulder to stifle a laugh. She doesn’t even have to look at the Doctor to picture his expression, rolling his eyes, annoyed that they could possibly think making out against a bathroom sink is a better use of time than what he has planned. Jack’s skin is warm, and they both unmistakably smell like his brand of shaving cream. She rubs her face against him.

“Just finishing up, Doctor,” Jack shoots back. She presses another giggle into his shoulder imagining the way the Doctor’s face must be screwing up in feigned disgust. She manages to get herself under control enough to lift her head and face him.

“What do you think?” she asks.

“About what?” the Doctor says.

“Rose came in for a shave,” Jack answers. He strokes her chin playfully. “How’s she look, Doctor?”

The Doctor looks her over, once a cursory glance, twice a real study. Rose is curious what exactly he’s seeing. It’s not like she’d had anything to shave. It’s not like anything had really changed, had it?

But the Doctor gives her one of those lovely, genuine smiles, and says, “Most handsome boy in town, I’d say.” Rose’s heart skips a beat, but she tells herself that’s nothing special. The Doctor can always make her feel that way.

She wouldn’t mind him calling her handsome again.

(She wouldn’t mind him calling her a-)

“And me?” Jack wheedles for his own compliment.

The Doctor lets his smile drop, showily unimpressed as he responds, “You missed a spot.” Jack shakes his head, disbelieving until he reaches up to touch the place the Doctor’s indicating on his own neck and finds a small spread of missed hair right there.

“We’ll wait for you,” Rose tells him, though the Doctor huffs about it and makes a face. He won’t go without her, and she won’t go without Jack, and somehow, they’ll make it work.

Jack waves her off to follow the Doctor back to the console room.

(“Doctor, settle a bet? Do you shave normally, or do you…”

“Rose, I know you’re not asking me if I can sonic a beard off.”

“Course not. I knew that.”)

Sunday | Week In Review IX

I feel like I just wrote the last Sunday Week in Review five minutes ago and like six years ago at the same time. Short work weeks and coming off the back of vacation really do mess with your sense of time.

Another short week ahead too, Canadian Thanksgiving tomorrow, happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canucks who observe this holiday! 🧡

I have no clue about baseball, went to a game and had no idea what was happening no matter how many times someone tried to explain. However, I am 110% positive that if Jack was to explain the rules to me, I’d know him inside and out, oh and maybe a bit about baseball too. Gotta make sure those lessons get stretched out…

Bloom (Joel AU) by @penaonthestreets-javiinthesheetsThis was such a delightful opening chapter! Reader has their own flower shop, and just so happens our favourite Texan pays a visit. The characterization of Ellie almost steals the show from Joel’s meet-cute with Reader - I’m not going to spoil it, but I had to pick myself off of the floor after - just saying…

Working Title | Chapter 13 (Dieter) by @rhoorl I’m so rooting for these two! Both deserve a happy ending (in more than one sense!) and yet it seems there's those who want to bring them down or stand in their way. This update was a little angst, incredibly sweet and the last bit, well - I can't wait to read the next update!

Kinktober Day Two (Frankie) 🌶️ by @youvebeenlivingfictional I love the whole fun roleplay trop between established couples and this one does an excellent job of doing just that! Reader and Frankie are out at the bar having fun and, I'm not going to spoil it - go enjoy it for yourself!

Tip Your Server (Dieter) by @nothoughtsjustmeds This is just the best! Dieter and wife!reader on the night of his Oscar win and it’s just so much hilarity, sweetness & spice and the banter between the two is just the best. Please go read it, you won’t be disappointed, I promise!

Kiss Me Quick (Dieter) by @secretelephanttattoo This, how I love this so! It’s a love letter to the British seaside and is told through a day at the beach with the one and only Dieter. It managed to not only invoke laughter but homesickness too. I’d go to the seaside for a stick of rock any day of the week with Dieter.

Sofa So Good (Frankie) by @secretelephanttattoo This was cozy, domestic bliss wrapped up as tight as my fingers would be in Frankie’s hair. This was a sweet slice of life and so done so well. A perfect cozy Sunday read if you’re looking for one!

Video Nasty I & II (Joel) 🌶️ by @sin-djarin I don't think I've recovered from these two yet... Oof, incredibly hot, incredibly Joel and incredibly read-again worthy! Also provided a fun memory of mine working in a video store and will Marcus be forever associated with a poorly titled porno? Yes. Yes he will be.

Paranoid Heart (Javier P.) by @goodwithcheese This was such a great opener and introduction to our main character and Javi. Now, if you're thinking you need to watch Narcos to read this, take it from me, Ms. Truly 'I think I've watched six episodes now but can't remember' Betty, you don't need to, because Megan is so good at immersing you in her characters worlds that you'll be well taken care of. Can't wait to see where this story leads us!

A Month of Sundays(Various) by @gnpwdrnwhiskey I love each and every one posted so far! There’s something to be said about drabbles, little slices of life etc., six-sentence fics - because they’re not as easy to write as you think. There needs to be some establishing of what’s going on, and while not a resolution - something to end on. These are all great insights into some established characters and some we’ve not met before and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the month brings!

No Panties, No Problems (Frankie) by @blackfemalenerd Frankie is an A-grade menace here and, oof is this hot? Please do yourself a favour and go read it and leave your comments - because I think we all deserve some more of this Frankie!

I missed last weeks update, so here’s an update on Frankie Cat - she’s very much settled in. She is pretty laid back as her name sake, but sometimes her tiny humans can get on her last nerves, but baby Truly #2 and her are BFF’s (mostly because baby Truly is forcing Frankie to love her, like I would the actual Frankie…)

She also has to go back to the shelter today for treatment, as she’s not 100% a Truly until her spay (which if anyone has tips for care after I’m all ears) - hopefully she doesn’t get excited and think she’s finally getting away from us… sorry Frankie Cat, you’re one of us now. Even if you do rip my feet to shit.

Ultimate Custom Night Idea

Hey so I been thinking if I would make the ultimate custom night like the original but with more characters, mini games, mini games from previous games, an extras menu, more customized offices, death quotes, and two special modes 80/20 mode with everyone here and after you beat 80/20 mode there will be a true mode unlocked which is the events after 80/20 mode and that is….cassidy’s night. Where the final battle begins and with Cassidy versus William and there will be a true happy ending of ucn after beating cassidy’s night. And you can click on funtime freddy’s mugshot to have bon bon and funtime freddy both separate alternate mugshots! Along with having shadow bonnie the bunny, nightmare chica the chicken, plushtrap, minireena, bonnet, lolbit, fredbear and dee dee changing their levels from 1-20. But I’ll get to the a.i later. And you can actually see the kitchen instead of camera disabled. And instead of having voice actors voice the characters instead there will be death quote messages for characters that would speak here is one of freddy fazbear’s death quotes for example

Now it’s time to show you the mechanics that would work and like I said for funtime freddy and bon bon’s mechanic you click on funtime freddy mugshot to have their alternate separated mugshots while some i extended while some i fix to make it better.

Freddy Fazbear- He will appear at the left hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the left door shut the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the left door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Bonnie The Bunny- He will appear at the left hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the left door shut the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the left door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Chica The Chicken- She will appear at the right hall coming to your office. If she gets close to the right door shut the right door to prevent her from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the right door when you have the monitor up she will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Foxy The Pirate Fox- He will appear in pirate cove. When he gets out of pirate cove again and when you check the left hall you will see him running to your office. The only way to prevent him from jumpscaring you is by shutting the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the left door he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Golden Freddy Fazbear- He will randomly appear at the right side of the office. You have a short amount of time to flip the monitor up and down to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t flip the monitor up and down after a short amount of time he will jumpscare you and crash your game.

Endoskeleton 01- He will appear at the left hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the left door shut the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. if you don’t shut the left door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Toy Freddy Fazbear- He will appear at the left hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the left door shut the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the left door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Toy Bonnie The Bunny- He will appear at the left hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the left door shut the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the left door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Toy Chica The Chicken- She will appear at the right hall coming to your office. If she gets close to the right door shut the right door to prevent her from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the right door when you have the monitor up she will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Mangle- She will appear at the top vent heading to your office. The only way to prevent her from coming to your office is by clicking on one of the vent snares wherever she is coming from the left vent, middle vent or right vent. If you don’t click on one of the vent snares once she comes to your office she will grapple onto the ceiling with her static radio noise and when you have the monitor up she will eventually jumpscare you.

Balloon Boy- He will appear at the side vent. When you see him at the side vent you shut the side vent door to prevent him from coming to your office. If you don’t shut the side vent door he will come to your office disabling your flashlight for a couple of seconds before he disappears.

JJ- She will appear at the side vent. When you see her at the side vent you shut the side vent door to prevent her from coming to your office. If you don’t shut the side vent door she will come to your office and she will hide under the desk disabling all door controls for a couple of seconds before she disappears.

The Puppet- He will appear at cam 04 being inside his box. The only way to prevent him from jumpscaring you is you have to wind up the music box to keep the music playing and to prevent the puppet from jumpscaring you. If you don’t wind up the music box and when the music box is finished playing the puppet will get out from his box and he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Withered Freddy Fazbear- He will appear in the left hall coming to your office if he gets close to the left door shut the left door to prevent him from coming to your office. If you don’t shut the left door when you have the monitor up and then down once he is in your office you have a short amount of time to put on the freddy mask to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t put on the freddy mask after a short amount of time he will jumpscare you.

Withered Bonnie The Bunny- He will appear at the left hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the left door shut the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the left door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Withered Chica The Chicken- She will appear at the top vent heading to your office. The only way to prevent her from coming to your office is by clicking on one of the vent snares wherever she is at the left vent, the middle vent or right vent. If you don’t click on one of the vent snares once she comes to your office she will be stuck at the vent door. When you have the monitor up she will eventually wiggle herself free and then she will jumpscare you.

Withered Foxy The Pirate Fox- He will appear in pirate cove. Once he gets out of pirate cove when you check on pirate cove again and when you check the right hall you will see him running to the office but you have a short amount of time to close the right door to prevent him from coming to the office but if you don’t shut the right door and when he comes to your office you only have a couple of seconds to shine the flashlight at him to prevent him from jumpscaring you but if you don’t shine the flashlight after a couple of seconds he will jumpscare you.

Withered Golden Freddy Fazbear- He will randomly appear at the left side of your office. You have a short amount of time to put on the freddy mask to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t put on the freddy mask after a short amount of time he will jumpscare you.

Shadow Freddy Fazbear- He will randomly appear at the left side of the office. Once he is at your office he will black out the office for a couple of seconds then when the office is back on he will disappear.

Shadow Bonnie The Bunny- He will randomly appear at the right side of the office. Once he is at your office he will black out for a couple of seconds then when the office is back on he will disappear.

Endoskeleton 02- He will appear at the right hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the right door shut the right door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the right door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Springtrap- He will appear at the top vent heading to your office. When you see his face at the top vent shut the top vent door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the top vent when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Phantom Freddy Fazbear- He will randomly appear at your office slowly becoming visible. The only way to prevent him from jumpscaring you is you have to shine the flashlight on him to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shine the flashlight at him once he is completely solid he will jumpscare you but won’t give you a game over.

Phantom Chica The Chicken- She will randomly appear at any camera anywhere on the monitor. The only way to prevent her from jumpscaring you is you have a short amount a second to immediately close the monitor or change any camera. If you don’t close the monitor or change any camera after a second she will jumpscare you but won’t give you a game over.

Phantom Foxy The Pirate Fox- He will randomly appear on the right side of the office slowly becoming visible. The only way to prevent him from jumpscaring you is that you have to shine the flashlight to make him disappear. If you don’t shine the flashlight at him once he is completely solid he will jumpscare you but won’t give you a game over.

Phantom Mangle- She will randomly appear at any cameras at the monitor. You have a short amount of time to close the monitor or change any camera in order to prevent her from making her static radio noise. If you don’t close the monitor or change any camera after a second she will appear at your office for a couple of seconds before she disappears.

Phantom Balloon Boy- He will randomly appear at any cameras anywhere at the monitor. You have a short amount of time to close the monitor or change any camera in order to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t close the monitor or change any camera after a short amount of time he will jumpscare you but won’t give you a game over.

Phantom Puppet- He will randomly appear in any cameras anywhere on the monitor. You have a short amount of time to close the monitor or change any camera in order to prevent him from making his noise at your office. If you don’t close the monitor or change any camera after a short amount of time he’ll appear right at your face in your office for a couple of minutes with his computer noise before he disappears.

Nightmare Freddy Fazbear- Three freddles will appear at your office. When you have the monitor up one freddle will appear then another freddle and the last freddle. When the three freddles appear at your office shine the flashlight at them to have them disappear and to prevent nightmare freddy from appearing at your office and jumpscare you. If you don’t shine the flashlight at the freddles when you have the monitor up nightmare freddy will appear at your office and jumpscare you.

Nightmare Bonnie The Bunny- He will appear at the left hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the left door shut the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the left door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Nightmare Chica The Chicken- She will appear at the right hall coming to your office. If she gets close to the right door shut the right door to prevent her from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the right door when you have the monitor up she will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Nightmare Foxy The Pirate Fox- He will appear in the closet next to pirate cove on the right you’ll have to shine the light at the closet and if he’s peeking out close the closet to prevent him from coming to your office if you don’t close the closet then when he is out of the closet and when you check the right hall you’ll see him running to your office. You have a short amount of time to to shut the right door to also prevent him from jumpscaring you if you don’t shut the right door he’ll come to your office and jumpscare you.

Nightmare Fredbear- He will appear at the left hall coming to your office. When you see his eyes at the left door shut the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the left door when you have the monitor up he will come to the office and jumpscare you.

Plushtrap- He will randomly appear in cam 06 next to funtime cove on the right sitting on his chair. The only way to prevent him from jumpscaring you is you have to watch him for three seconds and then he will run away. If you don’t look at him for three seconds after three seconds when you check cam 06 and he is not on his chair and when you check the right hall you’ll see him running to your office. The only way to prevent him from coming to your office is by shutting the right door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the right door he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Nightmare- He will appear at the right hall coming to your office. When you see his eyes at the right door shut the right door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the right door when you have the monitor up he will come to the office and jumpscare you.

Jack O Bonnie The Bunny- He will appear at the left hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the left door you shut the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. if you don’t shut the left door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Jack O Chica The Chicken- She will appear at the right hall coming to your office. If she gets close to the right door shut the right door to prevent her from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the right door when you have the monitor up she will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Nightmare Mangle- She will appear at the right hall coming to your office. If she gets close to the right door shut the right door to prevent her from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the right door when you have the monitor up she will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Nightmare Balloon Boy- He will randomly appear in cam 06 next to funtime cove on the left sitting on his chair. The only way to prevent him from jumpscaring you is you have to watch him for three seconds and then he will run away. If you don’t shut the left or right door when you have the monitor up she will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Funtime Freddy Fazbear and Bon Bon The Bunny- Funtime Freddy and Bon Bon will appear in the right hall and left hall coming to your office. When you see they’re eyes glowing at the left or right door shut the left or right door to prevent them from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the left or right door when you have the monitor up they will both come to your office and jumpscare you.

Alternate 1

Funtime Freddy Fazbear- He will appear in the right or left hall coming to your office. When you see his eyes glow at the left or right door close the left or right door to prevent him from jumpscaring you if you don’t shut the left or right door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Alternate 2

Bon Bon The Bunny- He will appear at the top vent heading to your office. If you hear his giggles close the top vent door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the top vent door when you have the monitor up he will come to the office and jumpscare you.

Ballora- She will appear at the left hall and right hall coming to your office. When you see her twirling coming to your office from the left hall or right hall shut the left door or right door to prevent her from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the left or right door when the lights flicker for a couple of seconds she will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Funtime Foxy The Pirate Fox- He will appear in funtime cove in cam 06. Once he gets out of funtime cove when you check on funtime cove again and when you check the right hall you’ll see funtime foxy running to your office. The only way to prevent him from jumpscaring you is by shutting the right door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the right door he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Bidybab- Some bidybabs will be coming from the top vent and some will be coming from the left hall and right hall along with one bidybab will be coming from the side vent. If you see the bidybabs eyes from the top vent shut the top vent door to prevent them from jumpscaring you. If you see some of there eyes glowing from the left door or right door shut the left door or right door to prevent them from jumpscaring you. If you see bidybab at the side vent shut the side vent to prevent her from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the top vent door, if you don’t shut the left door or right door and if you don’t shut the side vent door when you have the monitor up then few of the bidybabs will come to the office and jumpscare you.

Minireena- Some minireenas will be coming from the top vent and some will be coming from the left hall and right hall along with one minireena will be coming from the side vent, some will start turning off the oxygen in the parts and service room and some will appear right at your face. If you hear the minireenas giggles from the top vent shut the top vent door to prevent them from jumpscaring you. If you see some of there eyes glowing from the left door or right door shut the left door or right door to prevent them from jumpscaring you. If you see minireena at the side vent shut the side vent to prevent her from jumpscaring you. When the minireenas turning off the oxygen at the parts and service room use the controlled shock on them to make them disappear. If you don’t shut the top vent door, if you don’t shut the left door or right door and if you don’t shut the side vent door when you have the monitor up then few of the minireenas will come to the office and jumpscare you.

Ennard- He will appear at the top vent heading to your office. If you heard his squeaking sound from the top vent shut the top vent door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the top vent door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Yenndo- He will randomly appear in the office draining the oxygen. If he is at your office you have a short amount of time to flip the monitor up and down to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t flip the monitor up and down after a short amount of time he will jumpscare you.

Bonnet The Bunny- She will randomly walk across the office from the right. To prevent her from jumpscaring you you have to click on her nose to prevent her from jumpscaring you. If you don’t click on her noise once she walked across the office she will appear right in front of you and jumpscare you.

Lolbit- He will randomly appear right in front of you with the pop-up message “PLEASE STAND BY” along with the beeping noise. To have him disappear you type L-O-L on your keyboard to have him disappear.

Electrobab- She will randomly appear only in the supply closet draining the power the only way to get rid of her is using a controlled shock and she will disappear.

Helpy- He will randomly appear at your office. You have a short amount of time to click on him to prevent him from making air horn noises. If you don’t click on him after a short amount of time he will come to your face with loud air horn noise distracting the player for a second before he disappears.

Number One Crate- She will randomly appear at the bottom left of the screen and after a couple of seconds she will make loud noises right at your face for a second before she disappears.

Mr Can Do- He will randomly appear at your monitor screen blocking any cameras at your monitor. You would either close the monitor or change any cameras.

Bucket Bob- He will randomly appear at the bottom left of the screen and after a couple of seconds he will make loud noises right at your face before he disappears.

Mr Hugs- He will randomly appear in the bottom right of the office and for a couple of seconds he’ll make loud vacuum noises right at your face for a second before he disappears.

Pan Stan- He will randomly appear at your monitor screen blocking any cameras at your monitor. You would either close the monitor or change any cameras.

Happy Frog- She will appear at the air ducts heading to your office. The only way to prevent her from jumpscaring you is by shutting the left air duct or right air duct wherever she is coming from the left air duct or right air duct. You can also play the audio lure or turn on the heater to keep her in place. If you don’t shut the left air duct or right air duct or play the audio or turn on the heater she will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Mr Hippo- He will appear at the air ducts heading to your office. The only way to prevent him from jumpscaring you is by shutting the left air duct or right air duct wherever he is coming from the left air duct or right air duct. You can also play the audio lure or turn on the heater to keep him in place. If you don’t shut the left air duct or right air duct or play the audio or turn on the heater he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Pigpatch- He will appear at the air ducts heading to your office. The only way to prevent him from jumpscaring you is by shutting the left air duct or right air duct wherever he is coming from the left air duct or right air duct. You can also play the audio lure or turn on the heater to keep him in place. If you don’t shut the left air duct or right air duct or play the audio or turn on the heater he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Nedd Bear- He will appear at the air ducts heading to your office. The only way to prevent him from jumpscaring you is by shutting the left air duct or right air duct wherever he is coming from the left air duct or right air duct. You can also play the audio lure or turn on the heater to keep him in place. If you don’t shut the left air duct or right air duct or play the audio or turn on the heater he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Orville The Elephant- He will appear at the air ducts heading to your office. The only way to prevent him from jumpscaring you is by shutting the left air duct or right air duct wherever he is coming from the left air duct or right air duct. You can also play the audio lure or turn on the heater to keep him in place. If you don’t shut the left air duct or right air duct or play the audio or turn on the heater he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Rockstar Freddy Fazbear- He will appear at your office being deactivated. When he is activated he will tell you to deposit 5 faz coins. To prevent him from jumpscaring you you have a short amount of time to give him 5 faz coins and he will become deactivated again preventing himself from jumpscaring you. You can also turn on the heater to make him malfunction for a couple of seconds then he will be deactivated. If you don’t deposit 5 faz coins or turn on the heater after a short amount of time he will become more agitated and will eventually end with him jumpscaring you.

Rockstar Bonnie The Bunny- He will randomly appear at your office. The only way to prevent him from jumpscaring you is you have a short amount of time to look for his guitar. His guitar will be in any camera each time he appears at your office. Once you found his guitar click on his guitar and he will disappear preventing himself from jumpscaring you. If you don’t find his guitar the lights will flicker for a second then he will jumpscare you.

Rockstar Chica The Chicken- She will appear at the left hall and right hall. When she is at the left hall or right hall the only way to prevent her from jumpscaring you is by double clicking on the wet floor sign. For example if she is at the right hall you double click on the wet floor sign to the right and it’ll prevent her from jumpscaring you. She is afraid of wet floor signs. If you don’t double click on the wet floor sign she will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Rockstar Foxy The Pirate Fox- His parrot will randomly fly across the office from the left when you click on his parrot he will randomly appear at your office offering you four things adding 1% power, lower temperature to 60 degrees, giving 10 faz coins and soundproofing the office. When you pick one of them then rockstar foxy will leave the office. However if you click on his parrot on the right corner of the office and rockstar foxy says “Yarr! Ye win some, Ye lose some” He will then jumpscare you.

Lefty- He will appear at the left hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the left door shut the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the left door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Security Puppet- He will appear in his box next to pirate cove on the left. To prevent him from jumpscaring you you wind up his music box to keep the music playing and prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t wind up the music box and when the music box is finished playing security puppet will get out from his box and he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Music Man- He will appear at the left hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the left door you shut the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. if you don’t shut the left door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

El Chip The Mexican Beaver- He will appear at the left hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the left door you shut the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. if you don’t shut the left door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Funtime Chica The Chicken- She will appear at the right hall coming to your office. If she gets close to the right door shut the right door to prevent her from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the right door when you have the monitor up she will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Candy Cadet- He will appear at your office being deactivated. When he is activated he will tell you to deposit 10 faz coins. He will not jumpscare you or become more agitated you will give him 10 faz coins and he will become deactivated again. You can also turn on the heater to make him malfunction for a couple of seconds then he will be deactivated.

Molten Freddy Fazbear- He will appear at the top vent heading to your office. When you hear his laugh at the top vent shut the top vent door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the top vent door he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Scraptrap- He will appear at the side vent. When you see him at the side vent shut the side vent door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the side vent door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Scrap Baby- She will appear at your office being deactivated behind your desk. If she is activated use the control shock keypad to shock her in order for her to be deactivated and to prevent her from jumpscaring you. If you don’t use the control shock keypad and when you have the monitor up again when she is activated she will jumpscare you.

Fredbear- He will appear at the left hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the left door shut the left door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the left door when you have monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Spring Bonnie The Bunny- He will appear at the right hall coming to your office. If he gets close to the right door shut the right door to prevent him from jumpscaring you. If you don’t shut the right door when you have the monitor up he will come to your office and jumpscare you.

Dee Dee- She will randomly appear at your office and she will summon any character that you don’t have to your night. In 80/20 mode she will still appear at your office randomly and she will sometimes turn more shadowy known as X.O.R.

Old Man Consequences- He will appear at the top left of the screen in his mini game. Press c to catch a fish when a fish is on the centered red dot. When you catch a fish on the red dot he will disappear. If you fail to catch a fish or take too long he will disappear again but then the camera monitor will be inaccessible which the word “ERROR” displaying on the monitor switch button for a short amount of time. After a short amount of time the camera monitor will be accessible again.

And now for the extras menu! It will have all the characters, all the jumpscares, and most of all a thank you picture with all the animatronics and with a thank you note to scott cawthon since he had retired.

After beating Cassidy’s Night the cutscene starts with william afton after beating Cassidy’s Night the lights we’re off for a second and as the lights are back on fredbear appears and jumpscares William as the screen turns black and after a few seconds he woke up to find himself in a spring lock suit as Fredbear walks to him while everyone else watches and for a second Cassidy appears with him and Cassidy said “You shouldn’t have killed me William….Afton….you cause so much damage and pain to us now it’s time for my revenge…..for all the pain and suffer we been through….now it is time for your demise…and now it’s….GAME OVER!” As helpy is seeing everything he covers his eyes as she gets a spring lock head she placed it on william’s head causing william to scream before he dies and the next thing that happened there was a fire with william face on a picture meaning william is slowing burning and then when William fades away he is gone for good. The next scene is where charlotte then appears asking Cassidy “Cassidy! What are you doing?!” Cassidy turns to charlotte “having my revenge….he deserved it for everything he done! I GOT MY REVENGE I WAS WANTING I WOULD NEVER FORGIVE HIM I-“ charlotte hugged her calming her down “Cassidy…..it’s over….you got what you wanted ok…but now it’s time to let go….he is not coming back anymore….just let go….rest ok? Come with me to the afterlife” Cassidy didn’t know it’s a good idea as she looked at Fredbear as Fredbear nods yes saying it’s time for you to go then she looked at everyone else and they all nodded yes as well cassidy looked down closed her eyes and she slowly sighed and then she opened her eyes and said “Okay…let’s go cc is probably waiting for me anyway but first I wanna say something to everyone.” She looked at all the animatronics “Everyone….I would like to thank you for everything you done for me….to finally get the revenge i wanted….and with the help of you guys nightmares, phantoms, funtimes, toys, everybody including springtrap and scraptrap because they were possessed by William too and they were future of spring bonnie and for you Fredbear….” She give him a big hug. “Thank you for sticking with me all the time and thank you for everything Fredbear….” Fredbear chuckles as he hugs her back “your welcome Cassidy” as Cassidy looked at charlotte she smiles “ok….I’m ready charlotte” as cassidy grew wings and a halo the light shines above her which is the afterlife as Cassidy gives the animatronics one final wave goodbye as they went to the afterlife everyone cheered and some waved goodbye. As spring bonnie asked fredbear “What’s gonna happen now?” As fredbear told everyone that we are all fazbear family and we all get along so well. He also told them that everyone is now part of fazbear family nightmares, funtimes, toys, everybody for now on there will be no more trouble since William is gone for good. Fredbear said “Fazbear family for life!” As everyone cheered and they celebrated the victory of William’s defeat. Meanwhile back at the afterlife cc was feeling worried and he said “Oh….cassidy I really hope that you-“ just when he was interrupted by Cassidy “Returned as promised” just when he saw Cassidy and charlotte cc runs and hugs Cassidy feeling happy she is back “Cassidy your back! How was everything” Cassidy chuckled as she said it was good I got the unfinished business completed hehe. Then cc asked “So…..did you finally got the revenge you wanted?” Cassidy looked down for a second then she teared up with joy as she look at cc and charlotte “Yes….i finally got my revenge….now…I’m free!” As she hugged cc and charlotte they all walked to heaven to meet the everyone else as the screen turns white for a second then it changes to six tombstones it’s still the same as five tombstones from ffps but now it’s six with the name cassidy and cc which is both people in one tombstone with the words thank you.

And the post credit shows two post pictures on the left shows every humans in the fnaf game and the right show every animatronics from fnaf 1-ucn with the words thank you Scott for everything.

My Archive Of Our Own Wrap-up

I wanted to put together a thank you to all the fanfic writers who have gotten me through this year.

This wrap-up is me going through my history month by month to see which fics I'd visited the most (because you can be damn sure I read through them over several days).

So this is a celebration of the wide variety of fics I've read and/or bookmarked and/or subscribed to. Thank you to every writer on this list for keeping me entertained.

My first fic of 2023: Finding the Balance, by Amberlioness

Summary:

Events following ‘Bound’, leading up to ‘Demons’. Trip and T’Pol begin to explore what their bond means and how it affects them. Follows “Beginning in Earnest”. I’ve tried to keep as close to canon as possible, while filling in events and back story as the muse commands.

The Force wasn’t the only great power in the Galaxy. There were also the laws of physics. Kanan was strong in the Force, but the bind he had gotten himself into had to do with physics. (My inevitable “Kanan lives” story. He survives, and the story unfolds from there. Some of it resembles the story we already know, and some of it doesn’t. The ripples travel out.) Update: Chapter 1-8 is a complete story, you can stop reading there and get some nice closure. After that, I’m just kind of adding as I get ideas. Mostly I just like seeing Kanan get to be a dad so that’s what I’m doing. Thanks!

Canonverse but Omegaverse: Though everyone can choose whomever they want as mate, your one true mate, the mate with which you 'sync', is your one best match in the entire galaxy. Poe recognizes Finn as his sync-mate immediately, but Finn is reluctant - extremely. Chapter 3 and various chapters thereon are explicit. This fic is now in epilogue-mode. Everything after Chapter 13 is epilogue. I will come back to it as it pleases me, which, right now, is often. :D

Angry and betrayed, Timothy is all too eager to seize the chance to escape, even if it comes in the form of a brash Operative. When Zane Flynt is hired to steal weapon schematics from Hyperion, he finds himself needing the help of Handsome Jack's Eridium addicted doppelganger. It's supposed to be a simple job, and he and the doppelganger will part ways the moment it's over. Only Zane didn't expect to get so damn attached to Timothy. (OR: Zane accidentally adopts Timothy, and chaos ensues)

Bookmark note: The one where Timothy's made to be hooked on eridium and Zane basically nurses him back to life.

Chapter 01

Pairing: College!Matt Murdock x fem!reader

Summary: You are a winner. Always have been and always will be. In your final year at Colombia you're aiming to earn an internship from an esteemed law firm which will ensure the success of your career post law school. Someone however, is making life difficult and his name is Matt Murdock. For some reason he's always in your business, everywhere you turn he's there and while you never expected it maybe he's just what you need.

a/n: academic rivals mixed with work/office rivals. Matt and reader are somehow smart enough to be in law school but not smart enough to realise they like each other. Also ALOT of these background characters are OC’s and the only people mentioned from the daredevil series is Foggy(nelson) and Jack (Matts Dad)

You’ve always been the best at what you do. You uphold yourself to a high standard and its gotten you all the way to your final year studying law at Columbia. It feels surreal at times wondering if you deserve this but you remember how hard you have worked and how proud you will be once you’ve become the best lawyer in New York.

Tonight you’ve got a shift at the local bar and restaurant Barry’s. You’re the star waitress and have earned some regulars who tip very well every time you’re on. Tonight though you are really considering quitting. It’s not only one of the busiest nights due to the Columbia Lions winning last nights football game and their victory party being hosted by Barry’s but you are also responsible for the new trainee who is truly testing your patience. “Foggy, you cannot stay at a table for over 30 minutes after giving them their food. Being overly friendly will not get you tips it will get you fired” you sigh in frustration and you can see he feels bad for upsetting you “sorry” he whispers. Before you can apologise he’s left to get the drinks for the next table. You feel bad but food service can have you dealing with the worst kinds of people and you don’t want Foggy to get discouraged from a little criticism.

You’ve just shown foggy how to lock up and its nearing half three in the morning. After an 8 hour shift with no breaks you are ready to drop. Pulling out of the parking lot you see Foggy at the bus stop. “You know the first bus doesn’t come until six thirty, you can’t wait here for three hours” you tell him from your car. “ Don’t worry about it! I’ll be alright, I’m just too tired to walk” you wouldn’t let Foggy stay there even if you believed him. “Do you live on campus?” you ask. “Yes, but please you really don’t have to driv-”Foggy doesn’t get to the end of his sentence before you’re unlocking your passengers side door and beckoning him into the car. “I know I was hard on you tonight but I promise I’m not an asshole …I’m sorry” judging from Foggy’s smile you think he’s accepted your apology. “ It’s okay..you know you’re not as scary as you look” foggy immediately regrets saying that as you give him a very unimpressed look. “I mean you never smile in lectures and you just always seemed very…cold..from a distance! But getting to know you better tonight you’re cool. I mean I only know so much since Matt does talk-” “it’s okay Foggy I understand what you’re trying to say”.

Waking up Monday morning you regret signing up for an oral presentation workshop. However, you’ve made matters worse by not putting on an alarm and expecting your roommate Lisa to wake you up. Late and rushing you find yourself in not your finest of moments running across campus in yesterday’s mascara and underwear.

In your flurry to get to the workshop you trip over something and find yourself on top of someone. “I am so sorry, are you alright?” you ask frantically. “I don’t think you trip over blind men often so it’s fine” that voice belongs to Matthew Murdock a man who has a talent for getting on your nerves. Why? Because like you Matt is smart but unlike you it comes naturally for him and he takes every chance to throw it in your face. Between having the last word in mock trials to countering your points in class just because he feels like it. “If I didn’t know any better I would think you tripped me on purpose Matt” “ Well you’re still on top of me so I don’t think there’s any hard feelings”. Your rush to get off Matt, help him up and collect your things. “What are you in such a rush for?” Matt asks “ Professor Loc's speech workshop, I’m so late it’s pointless”you say dreading the effect this is going to have on your attendance record. “Don’t worry it’s been cancelled, I was on my way there but I got the email before I walked in” Matt says. Looking through your bag and finding your phone you see the late notification that the class has in fact been cancelled. “Shit I wasted my morning for that” you’re about to turn away until you hear chanting. Very loud chanting.

“ What is going o-” Matt is interrupted by Kevin the star quarterback and frat senior letting out a loud battle roar and running across campus naked being cheered on by freshmen, senior frat members and several other people fascinated by the display. “If I were to tell you exactly what is going on you would regret asking” and in a split second you notice Kevin’s path has changed and he is now running for you and Matt. “Walk with me and don’t ask questions” you grab Matt and begin walking towards the parking lot. “I expect better of you than to rob a blind man y/n”. “I’m not robbing you I’m saving us from embarrassment, unless you want to be between me and a naked Kevin I suggest you keep walking”. Matt suddenly quickens his pace and unfortunately so does Kevin. In a quick span of events you evade Kevins line of sight and pull Matt into a random shed near the library. “Janitors store room, we’ll have to wait out here until the crowd and Kevin have passed” you tell Matt out of breath.

After waiting for 10 minutes Kevin and the group are still chanting near you and Matt. “You might as well test me for our next exam” Matt says. You're dissatisfied with the situation but seeing an opportunity to outsmart Matt Murdock you won’t pass up on. Flipping through your notes you hear Matt huff a laugh “You can’t test me without your notes?”. Although Matt is amused you are not “I need to make sure you don’t try and finesse your way into giving me a bullshit answer that’s only half right” “woah y/n didn’t know I could get you riled up so easily.. did seeing Kevin naked get you excited?” Frustrated with Matts teasing you decide you’ve had enough. “Actually it did.. I have to confess Matt I’m really excited right now” you say trying to sound convincing. “….really?” Matt says genuinely confused. “Yes..and oh I need help to release some of this tension” Matt is slightly bewildered but also intrigued. “Y/N I didn’t expect..” “Matty c’mere I wanna show you something” as Matt approaches you pull the leaf blower from the shelf and turn it on to his lips. Sucking half of his face into the leaf blower is funny for a few seconds until you release it and he seems genuinely mad. “Y/N what the hell!?” Matt yells. You giggle about to say something until you hear the crowd is no longer chanting near you and Matt. “I think we can go back now Matt”

There was something special about today. You didn’t know why but you had a feeling that today something was going to happen that would change the trajectory of your life forever. Minus the pigeon shit that just fell on your coat you expected good things to come your way today.

“ I bought you coffee!!” Your roommate Lisa pops out from the crowd surrounding the campus cafe. “I felt bad about the other morning, you know how forgetful I can be” Lisa says reminding you about the drama surrounding last Monday. In between then you’ve had some time off to prepare for your final year, you bought a whiteboard and you scheduled study sessions with Foggy whenever the both of you weren’t working. “It’s okay, it’s my fault I’ve got to really get my shit together. It’s my final year and I’m lagging because my brain knows I’m at the finish line” you’re a little disappointed in yourself for not being motivated but that’s going to change now that the fall semester has begun and you can officially put your plan in place to get back on track.

Dropping Lisa off at her class you go across the way to the building where your lecture is being held. You sit beside Chris who, although doesn’t seem to listen in lectures he still manages to get great marks and have good notes. In comparison to the mess on your paper at the end of lectures over the years you've benefited more from listening through and copying Chris’s notes after. “How have you been doing? You look good” you’re slightly taken aback by Chris’s compliment. Although he flirts a lot he never teases and often times you think about bitting the bullet and asking him out. That’s if you ever get the time to. “ I’ve been good working, studying and working some more” you laugh feeling a bit pathetic that this has probably been your answer through the whole of your law degree. “ There’s a reason why you're so smart, Besides I heard you’ve organised a study group and didn’t invite me.I’m hurt” he puts his hand over his heart acting wounded. If it were anyone else you would roll your eyes but when Chris’s voice cracks at the word hurt added with the sly grin he has on his face has got you silently begging to to be alone with him. “The group is open, if you want to come just let me know and we’ll make a time to meet up”. Feeling proud of yourself for finding a way to get Chris's contact. Ripping a piece of paper off his notebook he quickly writes something. “ Here’s my number text me and I’ll make sure I bring my notes just for you”. You feel yourself about to sport an embarrassingly big smile until you hear a stick tapping near the doors.

“Murdock! There’s a seat here” you whip your head to Chris and see he’s pointing to the seat next to you. This is not what you had in mind when you thought of your positive mantra of today being a good day. Matt greets Chris and they reach across you to hug. If you were being honest being crushed between Chris and Matt wasn’t that bad, you were blissfully daydreaming away until you felt someone flick your ear. “After sucking my face off you could at the very least talk to me” Matt says grinning mischeviously. Chris is taken aback at the insinuation that you and Matthew Murdock are somehow involved and you are seething that out of all times he decides to start with you in front of Chris. Before you have time to clear any confusion your professor begins the class.

By the end your eyes are drooping from exhaustion and you feel close to calling a cab to get back to your apartment to avoid walking 20 minutes. "Hey sleeping beauty, class is dismissed" Chris tries to nudge you awake. Suddenly becoming alert you give him a tired smile and gather your things. "Do you want to take my notes home?, I won't need them back anytime soon" Chris says. Before you can respond Matt interrupts the seemingly tender moment. " I see my dig about notes the other day hasn't motivated you to aim higher". You are so close to chocking Matt the only thing stopping you is the scandal of assaulting a blind man in public. Ignoring Matt you thank Chris and take his notes with you. On your way out of class you can see a crowd forming around the bulletin board. "They're only offering two places!" "Highest score on the next exam?!". You're near the board to find out what all the commotion is about when you see plastered on the board the opportunity you've been waiting for.

The internship to Cheraus & Pels one of the best law firms in all of New York. You can feel the sweat on the palm of your hand reading over the details then, you feel a presence near. "Too bad they're offering two spots. There's no challenge now". You wish you could formulate a good response but all you can do is focus on the letters on the paper in front of you. "Are you okay? you seem like you're coming down with the flu" Matt goes to put his hand to your forehead but before he can you swat his arm away. "Matt, I have never been more serious about something in my life and the fact that you're treating this like any other thing is absurd to me" you feel bad afterwards for being difficult with Matt in front of everyone but the stress of how real everything is starting feel is getting to you. "Despite how nonchalant I can be, I have sacrificed a lot to even be in this building. Yes y/n, I am taking this very seriously but if I stressed myself out as much as you do I 'd be ill before I even put pen to paper". After hearing what he had just said you came to the sad conclusion that Matt Murdock was right.

Over the next few weeks you had been seeing less of Lisa and Chris and even Matt. You've closed yourself off from the world and against Matts advice you were stressing yourself out. Going only between classes and your apartment to take breaks from preparing for the upcoming exam to eat and sleep. You even gave Barry notice that you would be taking the month off just so that work wouldn't get in the way of studying. What you didn't know was how worried everyone was. Lisa called your mom who then spent an hour on the phone threatening you with a visit. Chris had texted you a few times but you didn't want to distract yourself. Foggy even told Matt about you taking the month off. Which became the last straw. At 9:30pm on a Friday night you heard a knock at the apartment door, you expected that Lisa would get it since she knew you were busy. After a while you realised Lisa wasn't home and whoever it was, was still waiting. Looking through the peephole you get a wave of aggravation seeing Matt at your doorstep.

"I am so busy right now Matt its not even funny" you say opening the door. Matt looks very unamused and goes as far as to walk right past you and let himself in. "y/n this is an intervention, I understand you want that internship as bad as anyone. Trust me I've been doing overtime in the library. That doesn't justify you working yourself so hard".You're about to lose your shit. How dare Matt come into your home uninvited and tell you how you should be living. You're about to yell at him when you realise you're so tired you don't even have the energy. Matt knows something isn't right when he hears a thud and he knows something is definitely not right when you haven't said anything. Checking that you're still breathing Matt carries your fast asleep self to your bed and lays beside you. He doesn't know why but he stays the night. He tells himself its because Lisa isn't home and he doesn't want to leave you in the apartment alone overnight but deep down Matt cares about you and wants to make sure you're alright.

Over the years Matt has grown a sort of affection for you. He's not in love. He just cares, you both work hard but he admires your drive and passion. Because for him, you challenge him to do better and that means a lot. In your first year Matt was having trouble accessing braille translations of archived case documents and while you weren't happy about it you took the time to read out those case documents for him. Once, Matt had come down with mono he missed a week of classes. He didn't want to ask for your help but he didn't have to. You told him to meet you at the library where you proceeded to catch him up on everything he had missed. These moments compiled with all those other times you've helped Matt out over the years makes him want to be the one to help you out this time. At least he though he was helping. He's not so sure now that you've woken up in the afternoon and realised you've missed six and a half hours of study time. "I don't know who you think you are to waltz into my house and control my life. What the fuck was the intervention for?! an addiction to studying. I have never heard something so stupid in my life". Any other time Matt would give you some cool response to one up your little tantrum but right now among all the yelling your eyes are red and he can hear your stomach grumbling. "If I took you for some lunch would you stop yelling at me. Would you stop talking altogether actually?" . You're contemplating committing homicide in this very moment but through the exhaustion, anger and hunger you can see Matt is concerned and while you don't owe him anything you definitely don't think it's fair to let him worry about you. You've also just come to the realisation it wasn't fair to let everyone else in your life worry. "Sorry, let me get dressed and then we can go" Shocked Matt doesn't mention your change in demeanour and lets you direct him to the couch to wait. Lunch with Matt wasn't as bad as you'd thought it would be and spending time with Matt outside of school proved to be surprisingly beneficial to your mental wellbeing. You had been taking a walk in the park chuckling at some stupid law pun Matt had made when you snapped back to reality. The date of your exam was in three days and you felt so underprepared. Noticing your sudden silence Matt nudges your shoulder. "I didn't think my comedy would kill the mood, If you didn't like that one I've got a whole notes app filled with them" Matt says. "Its not that, I'm just thinking about the exam. After tomorrow we've only got a couple more days". You remove your arm from Matts and go to sit at the bench to clear your mind and figure out what your going to do about everything. "y/n I don't want you to get upset with me but Im going to make you an offer that hopefully you can't refuse" Matt goes on to ask you something you would have surely lost your balance from the shock if your weren't already sitting down. "You can stay at my place until the exam is over. You seemed to have slept better with me at the house and as much as you would hate to admit it we work really well together. My best grades are from when I study with you. "

You feel your resolve melting and as much as you want to keep your regular bitch attitude with Matt he's doing something really nice. Most of all he doesn't need to do any of this. He didn't need to spend the night or come to the apartment to check up on you, he didn't need to get you lunch or take a walk around the park with you and most of all Matt didn't need to worry, but he did. Or does... you don't know but what you do know is Matt is right. In a way things have always worked better when you've done them with Matt. Group projects, study sessions and even those dreaded mock trials. If you were any less oblivious you would realise Matt challenges you in a way you like. In a way that drives you to be better and in times like this it means everything. " I can't believe I'm saying yes but I will move in with you for three nights and four days" you don't know why but you're smiling. "Its settled then, let's shake on it roomie" "shut the fuck up".

This is Episode 8 of Season 1: Con Job.

08:48 - I used to be on a netball team with this girl that would throw passes really violently that the rest of the team would be scared to catch it (she caused my fingers to jar multiple times) - it just reminded me of that.

Actually, look at this scene.

There’s something so precious about Bee sitting on the floor, tapping his knees to the music, while right beside him Ratchet’s working.

08:57 - they’re throwing a circular object at each other, Jack. Take a while guess.

08:58 - Lobbing? Seriously? They were throwing it at each other’s stomachs. Lobs are high passes. I know, I know, they’re saying it’s a Cybertronian thing, but I’m nitpicking.

09:13 - I f o r g o t this part was in here! Raf dancing like a god and Bee’s head popping into frame like a giraffe.

09:17 - Shh… I love it.

09:19 - The moment Bee makes a sound, Ratchet stops what he’s doing to watch.

09:21 - Precious af.

09:25 - Jack’s obviously jealous of the way the two dance otherwise he wouldn’t have changed the subject, prove me wrong.

09:30 - I refuse to believe that. (Not to mention they’re not partying.)

09:34 - Raf and Bee dancing as the ball flies past is unexpectedly funny.

09:35 - that ball was gonna hit the ground.. how did it fly up??

09:37 - quick reaction time from Ratchet, goddamn.

09:38 - the wheels on his elbows were spinning as he moved and started to calm down.

09:39 - I’m surprised he didn’t threaten to kill them. I would’ve.

09:43 - I dunno why, but I really like the animation during this specific line. I think it’s because it’s slightly exaggerated so you can tell he’s annoyed, but it’s kinda comedic too.

09:57 - Ratchet feelin proud of himself at that moment. *Cri* look at hiiim

10:08 - not suspicious at all.

10:42 - This story telling part is weirdly pretty to watch.

11:10 - These two looking fiiiine.

11:13 - how long did it take y’all to realise that the laugh Bee just did was his equivalent to a full body laugh? I’ll tell ya, I only just realised.

11:26 - Bulkhead’s double take when he realised Wheeljack wasn’t paying attention.

12:00 - I’m not the only one that feels uncomfortable from how that line was delivered, right?
