Which food should be eat in winter for Joint Pain?
There are several types of foods that may be beneficial for people with joint pain during the winter months. Some options include:
Fruits and vegetables: Fruits and vegetables are rich in antioxidants, which can help reduce inflammation in the body. Some options to consider include leafy greens, berries, and citrus fruits.
Fatty fish: Fish such as salmon, mackerel, and sardines are high in omega-3 fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory properties.
Turmeric: This spice contains curcumin, which has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects. It can be added to soups, stews, and other dishes for a boost of flavor and potential joint pain relief.
Garlic: Garlic has anti-inflammatory properties and may also help reduce joint pain. It can be added to a variety of dishes for flavor and potential health benefits.
Nuts and seeds: Nuts and seeds, such as almonds, chia seeds, and flaxseeds, are rich in healthy fats and antioxidants, which may help reduce inflammation and joint pain.
It's important to remember that while certain foods may have potential health benefits, they should be eaten in moderation as part of a well-balanced diet. If you have specific concerns about your diet and joint pain, it's always a good idea to speak with a healthcare professional.

To the people who think that doctors will start treating you better if your symptoms get worse and you get sicker:
They won’t, hope that helps ❤️
#personal#being worse won’t make people who don’t care about their patients actually care about you!!!#I got BAD and they were like 🤷🏻 idk why you’re dying#everything is so much worse and fucking finally I have a new np who I think might listen to me but I don’t knowwww#they don’t believe you if your symptoms are mild#and they don’t believe you when they’re severe either#disabled#chronic illness#chronic pain#arthritis#ehlers danlos syndrome#chronically ill#postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome

Good news about my dog she probably doesn't have a tumor anymore it's more likely her symptoms are caused by arthritis which is still not good but at least it's not a tumor
#it could also be arthritis and a tumor. but uh. let's just hope not#.#this would explain literally all her symptoms#I shouldn't be happy that my dog has arthritis but fuck man. like that's treatable and not fatal she'll probably live

for as much as house says “everybody lies” he does. believe patients about their symptoms far more frequently than any irl doctor would
#‘everybody lies’ *proceeds to acknowledge that a patient having pain is. in fact. a symptom*#this man will take peoples PERSONALITY into account#told my paps doctor that he had suddenly become very violent when his alzheimers first began#and this man went ‘aging and opiods can do that! we could. cut off his pain meds?’#like. MY PAP WITH SEVERELY ADVANCED RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS IS NOT AN OPIOD ADDICT U FUCKING MONSTERS#honestly as someone who has experiences that can very lightly be described as traumatic in the medical system#house is really refreshing and comforting#because everything he does he does because he CARES about patients. because he wants a diagnosis#he doesnt just discount people because they have pre-existing conditions or psych problems or because theyre fat or poor#he still tries to treat them#which is way more than any doctor ive ever had has done#house md#house md shitpost

I wish I could find a doctor that wants to find out what’s actually wrong with me instead of recommending prescriptions to address the symptoms. I’m so tired of being recommended ibuprofen for debilitating pain. Tired of relaying my medical history to a new doctor and getting the same furrowed brow and shrugging shoulders I get every time. Tired of having so-called medical professionals ask why I need a cane if I’m able to walk down their clinic hallway without it. When will someone fucking help me?
#Leif barks#this is gonna get vent-y and shit in the tags just general mental and physical health issue TW#I’ve really given up on going to doctors atp#I used to have at least one sometimes two dr appts every week and I haven’t seen anyone in 6 months#saw a specialist in January for an MRI follow up and he basically went “wow your spine is fucked up! want some pregablin?“#I am 25yo with degenerative disc disease in 4 discs and facet joint arthritis and you as a specialist are not concerned?#because I sure fucking am!#why is my spinal column breaking down inside my body#I also developed an eating disorder in all of this mess bc when my symptoms first started at like 21yo#the only thing I heard from dr’s was “lose weight” so guess what I did#150lbs in a year and a half#and now when I go to a dr I get congratulated for losing it and then get told to take ibuprofen again#also wow getting told you did a good job at starving yourself is a crazy mind fuck#like you can look at my chart and see the weight loss in real time and that’s apparently wasn’t concerning either#I’ve stopped losing weight but now I’m terrified of gaining and I’m in this maintenance limbo that is literal torture on my brain and body#I’m just over here suffering#I tentatively started therapy again bc the depression-anxiety-cptsd-autism-eating disorder combo is killing me#and I’m not kidding I got three sessions in and she told me I’m too much for her to handle#so I guess I will be letting it kill me bc I don’t know what the fuck to do

always fun to remind myself of the side effects of my thyroid meds
#the first time i treated my thyroid my endo was like ‘i havent had a patient who had this happen for a while so im due for one’ THANKS MAN#personal#im just waiting for it to hurry up and work. my health has PLUMMETED in the last week or so#im so sick and i can’t DO ANYTHING. including SLEEP. even if i was getting enough good sleep i was be exhausted but i’m not so.#the energy’s doing Great#and i’m so hungry all the time but also nauseous so all food is unappealing#genuinely have no idea how i made it through years 7-10 undiagnosed. no wonder i ended up with such a severe phobia of going to bed????????#i don’t have to worry about routine right now so it’s not as stressful (just horrible because i’m so tired) but i COULDNT SLEEP back then#im just relieved that this time it was found through a routine check rather than me getting a test because of symptoms#usually i test when my anxiety gets really bad in a specific way#but my anxiety isn’t bad this time. no panic attacks and also no migraines. those are all usually the worst to deal with#so comparatively this isn’t even a particularly bad episode?/relapse?/flare?#still more sick than i’ve been in……..years?#im not sure if covid was better or worse. but it was only really bad for a week#this’ll be worse overall because it’ll last a lot longer#hopefully only a month or two but that’s still a few months of my life that just vanish. cool!!!!!!!!!!!#and there wasn’t even a notable event to trigger it this time. first time was whooping cough and subsequent times have been things like—#starting uni and then the last 2 years of uni where i took 10 units in one year then overworked myself doing my thesis#im SLIGHTLY worried that maybe i’ve developed rheumatoid arthritis and that set it off because it’s also autoimmune#i should see my gp soon to get a general antibody test. my joint have been so bad it’s been hard to walk for quite a few months#idk man it all sucks. but for now at least i have my white blood cells (even if they’re literally the problem lmao)
