No, but can we talk about this?

I really do like how it's framed that Kimmy can't do the assignment because, as far as she's concerned, she's not supposed to know how. But after talking it out with Newton, not only does she correct the test, she passes.

And while Kimmy's not really aware she's doing this, she has a similar effect on Newton. Octus starts becoming Newton (more human) the more time he spends with Kimmy. His "woo-hoo" he gives as he drives to the Scary Mary party. Taking Kimmy to homecoming because it's important to her (and then subsequently feeling horrible for letting her down).

I wish we had a second season so I could see more of their relationship after he sent her that text in the finale.

Whenever people talk about Sym-bionic Titan (rip you deserved so much better) someone inevitably brings up that scene where Kimmy is dancing on the table and shaking her ass at Newton and shit and I get it, I really do, that scene is WILD.

But it always ENDS there. No one ever talks about what happens after that.

Kimmy opens up and tells Newton that it's all just an act she puts on. She explains that, due to the fact that she's pretty, she feels like there's this ROLE she has to fill.

Pretty girls are supposed to be ditzy, they're supposed to be selfish, they're supposed to be mean and manipulative and full of themselves.

But in reality she's a very intelligent, very sweet, and very nervous kid that just wants to fit in somewhere.

Honestly this scene in ep 12 says so much about Kimmy and Brandon's relationship despite it being such a short scene.

The fact that Kimmy says that Newton doesn't treat her like an object after Brandon refers to Kimmy as his girl. And mentions that Newton cares about how she's doing and feeling unlike him. The implications of these lines make it clear that Brandon likely wasn't a good boyfriend to Kimmy and that their relationship was toxic.

When you take that into consideration, it makes what Kimmy confesses about herself in ep 10 all the more sad. The fact that her and everyone else sees her as being nothing but a ditszy airhead and can't do anything to change that. And that Brandon was likely one of those people who made Kimmy internalize and perpetuate this perception of herself.
