Just think about it! Shows that we loved taken from us far too soon, maybe even never getting a proper ending.

In another dimension, it continued on. Something you probably watched for hours on end is back in life and the story goes on.

Hell! It doesn’t just have to be TV series. It could a book series, YouTube series, A MOVIE YOU THOUGHT SUCKED IN THIS DIMENSION COULD BE BETTER IN ANOTHER!

SKY’S THE LIMIT!

started watching unicorn warriors eternal and for some reason i really enjoy how it really leans into the betty boop/merrie melodies type stylization? i didn't realize i was nostalgic for that sort of thing, i never liked those cartoons as a kid, but somehow it's really refreshing after consuming nothing but anime, western cartoons that deliberately mimic anime, and calarts (not a slam on calarts). and kind of novel to see a semi-serious action-adventure narrative illustrated in this way?

But yeah! Definitely!! I think the dramatic storytelling contrasted against the cute and round art style also works out so well because it's also inspired by Osamu Tezuka's style. It's actually really incredible how these cute round old-school styles with heavy cartoon stylization lend themselves surprisingly well to dramatic storytelling. Like, I'm kind of reminded of the time I started getting into Cyborg 009 expecting a cute kind of campy and cartoony story and just getting whacked with a steel chair by all the drama of the narrative. And the art style still carried it!!

There's also definitely something to be said about old school cartoon styles and the intensity of their expressiveness actually playing really well into dramatic storytelling as well. I mean I remember watching A Goofy Movie and being just as sideswiped at how well Goofy's old school cartooniness lent itself to incredibly complex expressions.

Also if you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend checking out Sym-Bionic Titan because you can really tell that's a major stepping stone for Genndy Tartakovsky from his very angular Samurai Jack style into a more fluid Tezuka style.
