If I had a nickel for every time a show about an alien princess with a blonde human disguise having to hide on Earth and attend high school in a suburb joined by a male counterpart and a protective guardian of a different species after a military coup usurped her from the throne, I would have two nickels.. which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.

Was for a Bugs and Lola challenge. Theme was Alternate Universe. And the day after Genndy Tartakovsky’s birthday!

I refuse to believe that Samurai Jack season 5 exists. Like it was so good until they decided to do… that. Why couldn’t him and Ashi have a father daughter relationship or something to go along with the fact that she’s a daughter of Aku yet she’s supposed to worship and kill for a man, her “father”, who really wasnt there for her as she was raised in isolation yet the man she was supposed to kill was more of a father to her in a few days and showed her the world ? Like the creative choices were so weird.

But like this is also created by the same man who made Sym Bionic Titan and had Lance and Ilana pretend to be siblings for the sake of their cover and establish a sibling dynamic and then later on decided that they should be potential love interests. Like I’m actually kind of glad that Sym Bionic Titan got cancelled because if it got another season or two Lance and Ilana would have ended up together and I would have thrown up. Like what’s with all the questionable romance choices ? I didnt even continue Unicorn Warriors Eternal because I was scared that he was gonna put another questionable romance in it
