Ummm... I think my top 5 fics are probably:

"For the Man Who is Always Thinking" A short TechPhee fic that I thought turned out pretty good considering my writer's block.

"What If: The Wizard's Last Stand" My only attempt at angst with a happy ending for Douxie's POV from "Unbecoming”, Season 2 Episode 11 of Trollhunters

"Star Wars: Uncharted Stars" My longest chaptered fic (with illustrations) about what happened to Ezra and Thrawn after the SWR finale. It's all about to get debunked with the new Ahsoka show and has already been with some more recent novels, but for when it was written and how easy my brain allowed me to write and consume Star Wars audiobooks, it holds a very special place in my heart for sure!

"Jacen's Birthday" A Rogue One tie in fic centered around the Ghost Crew and the birth of Jacen Syndulla. (Did VERY well on Tumblr and is the reason I got an A03 account.)

"Chiss Don't Kiss" It's an old and cheesy thranto fic, but holds a special place in my heart. I was particularly proud of how the voices turned out.

"Four Questions" is short but sweet, set during Return of the Jedi (plus it's a Kanan lives au)

"Morning Light" is one of my favorite Kanan lives AUs of ALL TIME I highly recommend it. Truly it lives rent free, I go back and reread it all the time

"Moonbeam: A Masterpiece" is by one of my friends and I love it so so much. Very fun and lighthearted and just SWEET

"& are we there yet?" is largely Ezra and Kanan but THE FEELS IT MAKES ME EMOTIONAL AND I LOVE IT it's a bit more intense but so so worth it

I can't ever NOT recommend "Blackbird", with the caveat that it's darker and super intense, but also masterfully written!

And last but not least, a shameless self plug of my canon divergent Kanera au where Kanan doesn't join up with Hera in A New Dawn. There are. A lot of fics in this au lol but here's the first one!

1 and 15!

1: favorite fic you wrote this year! okay so this is a surprisingly hard one lol, i checked and i only started and finished 16 fics this year (that are posted to my main)? i know that probably seems like a lot but to me at least it seems like very little lol; for example, in 2020 (which, tbf, was a very prolific year writing-wise for me even though i had one of my biggest blocks in a while then), i wrote upwards of 50 fics LOL

I did manage to narrow my favorites down to a couple though: - Solemn Lines of Lions Lions has a lot done for it planning- and snippet-wise, though it’s currently mostly in the far future hence why we haven’t done much for it since the first chapter lol (we’ve also been preoccupied with college and with Hollow Castles, which is an...arguably much angstier version of Lions that has much more posted; you can find it here).  I think this is one of my favorites partially because my partner’s the one working on it with me, and partly because the dynamics are just so fun to play around with in it, so I’m excited for you guys to see that :)

- and you know you can’t look down (to get home, you have to look forward) This was done for a friend for an exchange on the Phoenix Nest Discord server, and though I changed my plan last minute and ended up writing most of this shortly before it was due to be posted, I love how it turned out!  Definitely has the potential for a much bigger AU, but I’ll let someone else go for that ;)

- the wrong end of a very long tunnel This fic is another of my favorites because it focuses on Tristan - more specifically, on his thought process as he and Saxon try to find an outpost after a blizzard has marred the landscape, though one of them is looking significantly harder for a way to that outpost than the other.  I had another version of this that was also semi-canon-compliant, but much darker, written, however this one felt better for the “clan” prompt.  I’ve hiked alone a lot the past couple years, and though I haven’t done so in a blizzard since a couple of weeks ago (long after I wrote that fic), I hope I was able to capture the feeling of both calm and unease that surrounds you when you’re mostly alone in the woods, with mostly just your own thoughts and memories to keep you occupied.  I honestly think this was my best piece writing-wise this year, and I’m very proud of it and the final line still haunts me lol.

15: something you learned this year! The importance of friends who keep you pumped up and push you to expand your comfort zone (particularly @lessattitudemorealtitude, @isaakandreyevs, and @kitepiper lol), as well as how important it is to just write stuff that you and maybe 1-2 other people want to read, rather than to write what’s popular or whatever.  If you’re not happy with what you’re writing it shines through, and becoming more comfortable with that has helped me lots this year.

"Morning Light", a Kanan lives au that lives rent free in my head because it's SO SO GOOD

"Moonbeam: A Masterpiece" by my other beloved friend @laughingphoenixleader! It's so funny and banter-y and sweet at the same time

"Chess Pieces" by Synapse, which is a really fun take on A New Dawn!
