Also sorry I'm thinking about all the linguistic details that POB managed to cram into this book. Specifically the way the coffee house is called Joselito's (Spanish diminuitive for José 'Joseph') but Stephen, when speaking in Catalan, refers to the waiter as "Jep" (Catalan diminuitive for Josep 'Joseph'), and also that he uses "the Catalan of the island" which I'm not sure if POB uses that phrase intentionally but I'm guessing he does - Stephen is not from the Balearic Islands, and would certainly not speak Balearic Catalan as his native dialect, so while in English the line seems to convey that he's at home (he's speaking his native language - and this is true), the fact that even in his native language he's still chameleoning into another dialect feels very interesting, IDK

Gender update: Version 2 finally out of private beta!

Major changes:

Agender, as in no fucks given. Call me a pretty boy, handsome girl, whatever.

Any pronouns. You cannot misgender me in a way that matters.

Keeping the cis guy presentation for now, it's not like i have enough time for that anyway

Minor changes:

Not coming out IRL but i will be dropping hints for those who are there to pick them up (non-binary colors and such)

Miscellaneous:

This may only be a phase. And couldn't land on a wording that was subtle yet explicit enough not to be misunderstood so yes what i'm saying is that i might realize i'm trans later. Not yet though.

The Bucktommy breakup was interesting for me because it made me both like and dislike Tommy more.

Why I like Tommy more: Tommy and Buck really cared for each other. It wasn't something casual to them. It was 6 months. Tommy could see himself falling more and more into Buck and didn't want to risk getting hurt. When Buck got to Eddie's it's obvious he was devastated too. I will say as a Buddie truther: I assumed they were still casual even after months of dating. I was wrong and own that.

Why I like Tommy less: Tommy was so condescending to Buck with his explanation of the break up, like he frequently was during their relationship. It's not that Tommy couldn't have different insight into Buck's subconscious intentions, but if he believed Buck wasn't ready for something serious, why did he stay in their relationship for so long? While I personally believe 6 months is soon to be moving in, it's not outlandish if a good fit. Also Buck has had previous issues with not being taken seriously, and Tommy came off extremely dismissive like Buck didn't know any better, and I didn't like that.

Even as a Buddie truther, I lean against that Tommy was referring to Eddie regarding "your last", but if that is the correct interpretation, it's odd he stayed in this for so long when their co-dependency is obvious from a mile away. Maybe it was serious for Buck and not for Tommy, but the second things could get long-term Tommy bounced and appeared to have defined reasons. He said he didn't expect to break up that night, but I believe it had crossed his mind before.

Also, we know Buck prefers to be called "Buck" and not "Evan". Tommy used it as a term of endearment and Buck appeared to accept it, so I wasn't critical of using that name. But when Tommy flips the switch from romantic to platonic and calls him "Buck" the second they broke up, reaffirming they were done, it came off really rude to me given that term of endearment was so easily removed. It feels like he said it pointedly, and if I was Buck I'd be very hurt.

I would say that, considering his history, he's not that wrong, but even I have doubts as to whether that would be right. But at the end of the day, this is just a joke that's been in my head for a while, sooooo…eh.

Oh hey, an attempt at a comic? Made by me? That I didn't give up during the process or lost all motivation? What was my only attempt at this, 2019? Damn, it's been a long time.

I thought about leaving this here without editing or any colors, just the natural ones from the paper and pencil. But something in my head said "HAHAHA, no" so I went back to work. I had to put this idea down on paper this time (literally). If another year passes without me being able to execute this idea, I would lose my mind.

For a long time I wanted to joke - especially on the anniversary - that I wanted Sammy to only have less than 5 seconds in the next game (or in other words, take his screen time in DR, and shorten it even more). You know, just for the funnies (unless..?) But,thanks to the news released at the beginning of January this year about The Cage, I legally can't do this joke anymore…this year. Don't worry, after that comes out (and finally gives Sam the screen time he wants,hopefully) and we start to crawl into the Bendy 3 production era, I'll make this joke when I can.

Anyway, happy birthday Sammy Lawrence. You may not be my favorite character in this franchise, but there are some things I can actually appreciate about you. Plus, you made me laugh a few moments before (you know what I'm talking about) so there's that.

And happy 7 years to Chapter 2, and by extension, Susie, Norman, Alice, the Searchers, (Johnny????), and Beta Ink Bendy. (I would mention Jack too, but he was only introduced with the release of CH4, so technically it's not his birthday yet, but I'll consider him here).

And now? May I be able to do something for CH4's anniversary. Wish me luck,cus I'll need it.

Thing about the podcast ep is that I knew all this and it was clear to me back then why they did this, so seeing them say it's the biggest mistake they made just because haters say so is unfair. Once again they prove to be better people than I ever could be and I admire them for being this honest and vurnerable on the internet. Not many people would do it, now I wish people actually watched what they had to say but we know haters are gonna hate and misinterpret things, because watching a 16 minute video with understanding was beyond the haters, not mentioning a video that is over one hour long going over every criticism. That's probably too much to ask.

On one hand I wish this didn't stir up the emotions I still apparently had about this (that hate they got is so overblown and people are racist for no reason), and I sort of wish to have discovered them after all of this goes down so I could be "haha what drama". Then again being a fan back then allowed me to go and see them on a liveshow three days after this and it is my best memory of this year that I wouldn't change for the world.

It's complicated. I love them and want them to succeed and not pivot to the haters. I also think that the goodbye youtube video is a cinematic masterpiece and while the dip in quality of the shows since travel season is barely noticeable, it's heartbreaking to know they will sacrifice quality and what they set out to do because some people on the internet told them to do so. I don't think they should do it but then again what do I know. This ruined my day and showed me that I need to maybe touch grass and not be as invested in this. They will be fine without my stupid fucking blog posts.

Anyway hopefully they will be fine and this will make people realize that they are really not the supervillains they made them out to be. I knew they weren't, so quite possibly I was not the target audience for this. Hopefully they will regain the viewers they lost since I guess that's the point of it, and many said that they'd needed an in depth explanation of them. Since now you got it I hope you're happy.
