Which version of TOM is your favorite and why? My picks are TOM 2, 5 and 6. 2 is cool looking. His built-in lights look sweetskis, and he has awesome looking huge, armorlike hands. 5 also looks pretty cool and so does 6. I like how 6 has blue lights. And the shiny, glossy metal is pretty nice, too. Would have liked more lights on his body, but yeah. How about your favorite version of TOM?

You've asked a similar question in the past, but my favorites are TOM 1 and 5- I love how honestly odd-looking 1 is, with his potbelly and reversed knees and all, it's very charming and honestly somewhat more appealing to me than his more human-proportioned designs.

5 was around for a very long time and appears in the vast majority of the TIEs, so I'm most used to his design in terms of familiarity. He's still got a pretty appealing design overall, though I do wish it was a bit more saturated blue.

Skyla Pruett (née Oliver)

Skyla is married to Jonathan, and he calls her Sky. Her Simstagram name is sweetsky, and everyone who knows her would agree she is one of the sweetest women they ever met. She is the co-owner of Viviana��s, but most recently she has been a stay-at-home mom to their midlife oopsie baby. 

Background

Skyla was born to a dreamer and a musician in an Oasis Springs trailer. Eugene, the dreamer, had many fanciful ideas for how his family’s life should look. He dreamed of hitting the lottery, or getting a phone call from a long-lost relative about an inheritance he didn’t know about. If there was a way to make a simolean without doing work, he was on it. 

Susan, Sky’s mother, lived in conflict with her own dreams and reality. She played the guitar and wanted to get to a place where she could play full time and support the family. But, few bands were interested in a female guitarist. She tried to go on her own once before getting pregnant with Skyla. 

Tragedy befell the Oliver family when Susan died suddenly during Skyla’s childhood. Eugene took it hard and developed a nasty drinking habit. It got really bad. He stopped going to work which meant the bills ceased being paid. They almost lost the house! That moment was a wake-up call for him, and he got clean. He sent Sky to live with some family members in Appaloosa Plains while he went to rehab, found another job, and got caught up on the bills.

Skyla HATED Appaloosa Plains and ended up living there for a whole year. If it wasn’t so far away, she would have run away the first week. Oasis Springs was no happening town, but at least it had charm. Appaloosa Plains was so boring. Country life did not suit her at all, and she hated her father for sending her there. She didn’t even know the family that well and may as well have been living with strangers. They did their best to make her feel welcome, but she missed her father—her mother even more.

Personality & Fun Facts

Sky is a very laid back and chill woman. Even while punishing her children she is calm. She is a perfectionist and tends to stick to the rules. That mostly means getting on Jonathan’s case when he gets to be too much. Sometimes, she can get a little gloomy, but we will discuss that when I tell you about the family drama. 

Skyla is a prolific painter though she never sought to become famous. During the rough times, she kept the family afloat by selling her works to a local art collector.

Many would be shocked to know how good a dancer she is. Being quiet and a little timid, no one ever expects her to get out there and cut a rug. She is secretly proud of her dancing skills and loves that she passed it on to her oldest.

Skyla falls somewhere between a social drinker and not drinking. When her father was alive, she never drank in support of his sobriety. After her second child came along, she became open to the idea but will sip on one drink all night. It’s really not her thing, but people get weird when they find out she doesn’t drink.

Skyla is also a neat freak. Jonathan could always tell when it was getting close to time for her to be in labor because she would take exception to every little thing, and he thought it was hilarious.

Her favorite color is green.

She loves Winterfest for the opportunity to give her children the kind of holiday she never had growing up dirt poor.

Sky’s family in Appaloosa Plains listened to country music, and she hated it. But, nowadays, every now and then she finds herself turning to that station. She doesn’t know why and low-key hates that she actually enjoys it now.

Her greatest achievement is her family. Her greatest regret is her role in the family drama. Despite Jonathan telling her over and over it wasn’t her fault, she can’t stop blaming herself and wishing she could have been a stronger person.

Style-wise, Skyla is very simple and traditional. She doesn’t think it’s appropriate to show much skin and secretly wishes Maya would wear more clothes especially around her young son.
